  1. If I have time, I’m going to go retro on what may be some of the final PS3 physical collections I can get. Hitman HD Trilogy, Tomb Raider set (Underworld, Legend, Anniversary), and the Tom Clancy Splinter Cell Trilogy.

Don’t care if someone tells me “they’re too old” and blah blah blah. I love going back to PS2 stuff, especially when you never played a single Hitman game in your life. There's that feel and charm missing in modern stuff.

People will tell me “play Hitman 3 it’s much better”. Nahh. I hate all the modern crap shoved into the interfaces and main menu.

PS2 era is king. Outside of some good stuff here and there, PS5 generation has mostly been a disappointment.

@Cleggworth I’m sure they are, but I’m a devout purist when it comes to starting game franchises.

Unless a game is abhorrently bad and aged poorly like a number of Atari to PS1 era games have, then I generally start with older titles and work my way up.

Hitman 1 on PS4 is tempting, if only because it still looks good and it doesn’t handhold the player.

@zizimonster They also need to be fun, first and foremost. Saints Row not only has a poor cast of characters with awful plot, the game was practically unfinished at launch. So I won’t bother with it.

Elden Ring has been one of a select few titles worth playing at release.

@DrBloodmoney Blood Money in fact on the PS4. But to be fair paying $59.99 for two games that are over a decade old is ridiculous. The PS3 Hitman HD Trilogy is around $35 - 40 plus tax if you shop around on Amazon or eBay.

Tomb Raider trilogy is actually cheap, surprising for a PS3 generation physical game. Tom Clancy is expensive like Hitman, as is expected.

@Jeanoltt Splinter Cell is second to Metal Gear Solid, but still very decent despite some flaws. Enjoyed Blacklist so I expect a challenge with the Xbox/PS2 generation games.

Crash 4 is good. Played it on my dummy since I have it from PS Plus. We’ll see how the platinum relics fare in due time.

  3. With everyone commenting on how good or bad 2022 was for them, my time has come to reflect. I'm taking a different road than most... and this won't be an easy read.

These are dark times with pandemics, wars, massacres, economic collapse and all-out chaos. Some can barely afford to eat, in some nations some may not live to see tomorrow. I've always believed to take comfort in what one can in such times as no one can predict tomorrow. No easy feat given the crushing weight of the human condition.

My not-so-fair city of New York becomes a worse mess by the day. Between a return to gang violence not seen since the 80s and 90s and a record high in violence and robberies in New York City's famous subway system (one of which was even classified as a domestic terror hate crime and made national news), most notably pushing people onto subway tracks into oncoming trains (popular 80s and 90s crime). Due to a law passed a few years ago called "bail reform" in New York State, bail is no longer a thing. Criminals are held without bail or released without being asked to put up bail... and usually commit more crimes the same day. A constant "guns vs weak prosecutors" blame game is the order of the day with zero talk of solutions. I'm perfectly cool with cracking down on both (Read: cracking down on street guns AND reversing bail reform) but my views aren't popular. Give me a solution or keep quiet. The End.

As for my personal life, as bad as my health and my isolation from others is, I've had worse years. I often wonder: What if I had treated others better as a kid? What more lingering effects from outlawed 90s psych meds are in my future? Who will turn their back on me next?

As for physical health, I have not suffered a varicose vein rupture since August of 2020. However, it is getting more difficult to stand for longer than 30 minutes and walking in cold weather is difficult for the first time. As a result, I was approved for and received a cane for personal use. Sad to need one at Age 42 but it's better than falling as I no longer walk straight. (I actually still need to learn how to use it correctly. Go figure.)

The "other" worst thing to happen to me in 2022 was my stepmother no longer speaking to me. I know it was inevitable after my father died but she still talks to my brother and sister so it's definitely not cool. We have a tumultuous history but one day she and my half-brother (father and stepmother's son) say "we're two people who will never forget you" and then that.

The one positive was returning to East Coast Pro Wrestling in October. After 3 long years, I did an event in my hometown. In so many ways it was simply surreal.

Here's hoping for brighter days for all. Gaming will be covered in a separate update.

I live in the countryside in the Pacific Northwest and while it is not as dystopian as New York City, there is an atmosphere of despair.

If you ask me, I honestly think people had to be more resilient in NYC back in the 80’s and 90’s. Parts of it were really high. Violent crime took a big rise in the early 90’s before it fell off by the late 90’s.

10 - 15 years ago I would of regarded NYC as a good place to visit. Not a fantastic place to live, but a visit worth remembering. The old Yankee Stadium was still around (long time baseball fan if you didn’t know). Times Square, Statue of Liberty, the list goes on. Now I look at these historical sites in 2022 and they’re just miserable.

I will admit to people, I am stuck in the past. But we can’t dwell in it, we have to move forward. What I really want is this era to end. I want society to move towards greener pastures. I want the West to be fruitful and prosperous again, but we need the current powers to meet their demise before that can happen.

NYC is home to some of the most powerful, corrupt, egotistical, greedy businessmen in existence. If you want to put blame, they are an easy target.

And it’s not just limited to the States. Justin Trudeau is heading a historically disastrous campaign as Canadian Prime Minister. The UK has seen toil and strife since it left the European Union in 2017. France is adopting many of the same awful policies the States and other western nations have.

I’m thankful I live a little out in the country. Peace and quiet away from the turmoil of the big city. I never liked crowds, and while I don’t suffer from any mental illness that has me panic in the middle of big crowds, I prefer smaller groups of people.

We have some friends and there are some good folks who haven’t subscribed to the latest trending topic nor have subscribed to the rift that is separating us. Things aren’t as fast paced and we rely on some older but more proven methods in case a tragedy happens.

Stay safe. Best thing for you to do is to toughen it out, set some goals for yourself, and keep yourself in shape.

NYC is a dystopian hellhole, just looking at footage from 2022 has probably crushed any intention of me visiting there.

  4. 2022 has been a shitty year outside of gaming for me. I can’t say the same for gaming itself.

The Yakuza ‘Origins’ trilogy was worth the time spent alone. A combined 250 - 300 hours of gameplay to platinum all three. I don’t often praise bigger budget games from start to finish but this is one of them.

I think I’m going to actually write shortened reviews of each platinum from January until now. Riptide GP2 will be the final platinum of 2022. I don’t feel people are interested in me rambling about a game that I did quite a while ago.

2023, while I expect more shit in the real world, I expect more accomplishment in the gaming sphere. Will finally try to contribute to a friendly trophy event that I joined. Looking forward to Metal Gear Solid 2, Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, Diablo III: Reaper of Souls and others.

@kingofbattle8174 I don’t believe anyone to have gone thru their lives without having a shitty year or two.

Fact of the matter is the real world is cruel and unforgiving. As it always has been. Real success comes from what you can accomplish out of what you have. Some people are better off, some people are worse off.

When you reach your mid 30’s like me, you realize much of what you idolized as a child wasn’t as it seemed. I can pick apart issues with much better clarity and detail than I could at 21 years old. I have far more life experience. For kids, their homes and what they’re exposed to is all they know.

But all this, I’m sure you’re already aware.

  5. Recently I’ve had to look after my niece and nephew. They got a couple new Nintendo Switch games on Christmas, so I decided to play these with them.

I was just reminded of why I abandoned Nintendo a decade ago in 2012.

The only reason to stick with Nintendo for me at this point is to play the exclusives. And some of them are great. But for everything else I can play those games on other systems including the PC with much better performance.

The business decisions Nintendo makes are atrocious, and date back to the 1990’s.

They have a “hate boner” for emulation. Nintendo shut down a lot of emulation/ROM websites which are essentially the only way you’re going to play a number of those exclusives. Their expansion service that you have to shell out a bunch of money for every year is a complete joke. Why would I want to play an old game like Sonic the Hedgehog 2, given Nintendo’s bad business decisions and marketing? They can’t even port a classic like Mario Kart 64 properly, as lag is atrocious.

Nintendo also is stubborn when it comes to actual sales. While Sony enjoys and appreciates sales, Nintendo seems to be the complete opposite. Give me something cheaper for Super Mario Odyssey. I’m not paying your prices.

And there’s honestly a bunch of other things I don’t like about Nintendo. This is somebody who was subscribed to Nintendo Power for a number of years, and invested so much time into N64 and GameCube. Super Mario Sunshine is still very decent, but can you give me a damn discount for Super Mario 3D All-Stars?

Thank goodness I don’t have a Switch myself. As much as I don’t like some of Sony’s decisions, I find hooking up games and playing Soulsborne games to be far more gratifying.

Nintendo is the Disney of the video game world. Largely appealing to children, with an active adult audience that still appreciates and enjoys their products. For the most part, I have largely outgrown a lot of Nintendo stuff.

No achievement system like Sony, Steam or Microsoft, big letdown.

Pricing your games high including your older stuff from the Wii and Wii U generations is ridiculous. Should we be surprised that people are emulating on PC and those guys who probably don’t get paid are doing a better job then Nintendo themselves?

@HuntingFever Super Mario Odyssey isn’t that old. Maybe by modern gaming standards it is, but a game from 2017 to me is still “modern”. People think Days Gone is old, I just laugh straight at them.

It’s gotten very good reviews, but it’s aggravating that a game out five years already doesn’t go on sale often. I mean cmon, do I have to shop on eBay or Craigslist for a physical copy of the game?

Super Mario 3D All-Stars is over $70 on Amazon. It’s bullshit. Meanwhile I can pick up a physical copy of Red Dead Redemption 2 for around $25 - 30 if I look around. All three Mario games are too old to justify paying that much.

Nintendo wants to eliminate emulation and this is the kind of stuff they expect us to buy and actually play.

@CelestialRequiem I’m sure Xbox has a notification option to turn off achievements just like PlayStation. I’m certain it’s the same with Steam.

The Steamdeck has unlockable achievements just the same as you get them on PC. Nintendo is always a couple steps behind.

Because 98 - 99 percent of people couldn’t give a damn about trophies/achievements, doesn’t mean it can’t be an option to have them.

  9. Christmas is about the old time the corporate radio stations will play the oldies (1940’s - 1960’s), some more classic stuff from the 1970’s - 1990’s, and the occasional modern Christmas song that isn’t too bad.

How dinosaur radio stations are still around at the end of 2022 is beyond me. iTunes was the first service to break me away from radio. Spotify and Pandora broke me away indefinitely.

iHeart Radio is a complete joke, nothing but favoritism and corporatism with that company. Radio talk shows didn’t go extinct, they just made it to internet podcasts, readily available on YouTube and elsewhere. Unfortunately the young guys don’t have the charm and personality of the old guys my parents listened to, but that’s something I’m going to have to live with. Actual radio DJs were already on their way out when I was growing up, as MTV and internet services like Napster were fast on the rise.

Sirius XM is garbage also. Not that much better from dinosaur radio. AM radio is only good for rural areas when you need to get a quick weather update.

@jgm4789 You’re leaving out the fact that Baby Boomers have for the most part retired from the music industry.

I love some Dubstep circa 2007 - 2013ish, but that doesn’t come close to some of the older Techno stuff and certainly not House.

Millennial tastes start with Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and those other garbage artists. The only stuff I can stomach is indie/underground. Gen Xer Grunge music is far better.

For today’s radio programmers, Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake are old and classic to them. Thankfully some local stations where I live still play the classics, including the holiday songs.

Every subsequent generation gets worse with music. What the Zoomers like… I don’t even know. It’s just a bunch of noise, which is the same opinion the Boomers thought 15 - 20 years ago when Millennials started making their own entertainment.

@jgm4789 Shouldn't Nirvana and company be on a station dedicated to old Grunge music? Don't get me wrong I absolutely dug that music growing up. Soundgarden, Alice in Chains and Pearl Jam were the absolute shit. Punk like Green Day was great as well.

Sirius XM I believe has a channel dedicated to that, but even decades later, Grunge isn't even in the same category as Deep Purple or those other old bands that your parents and grandparents probably loved.

  11. I’m beginning to have more new found appreciation for older games with mods because they can bring an ideal experience to modern systems. I bought Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 on GOG.com, but almost every old game generally has to be played with mods or patches for a better experience. They don’t necessarily have to make any additions, but they have to be worked on to fix the issues the old developers couldn’t a long time ago.

The modding communities out there I can’t thank enough. Been playing Sim City 4, and without any mods it probably would of been too cumbersome on my Windows 10. I think I’ll just try out Cities: Skylines on Steam, rather than try to play it on Sony with trophies. Strategy games are generally better on PC anyway.

And while some games don’t have mods to speak of, titles like Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven and Might & Magic VII: For Blood & Honor benefit greatly from unofficial patches. Some of my favorite PC games of all time, up there with StarCraft, Baldurs Gate 1 & 2, RollerCoaster Tycoon 1, Deus Ex and Diablo II.

Been getting more into Blood, the 1997 old school shooter that has thankfully been discovered by modern audiences on Steam. I never had a chance to play thru the entirety of the original Shadow Warrior, so to see it get a modern treatment and better interface is awesome.

@Mesopithecus Actually I bought Fallout 1 & 2 a decade ago, but a few years ago I played with mods and they were a better experience.

They kept the core gameplay in everything, but added some cut content and made the resolution tolerable for modern PCs.

  13. I re-watched No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood for the first time in years. Both released in 2007. Both I greatly enjoyed watching.

This I consider to be the last time Hollywood had any semblance of actual character, and they could cast both veterans and newer actors in roles that weren’t automatically going to get the social media horde spewing political propaganda bullshit. Movies weren’t too pandering to butthurt ‘soys’ crying that their upcoming Marvel film from the creatively bankrupt MCU was delayed. Hollywood itself is creatively bankrupt and serves as an empty hollow shell, because money and propaganda matter more than the audience spending years and decades enjoying their stuff.

The fact I argued at someone on another online forum over The Dark Knight (2008) and Heath Ledger’s role as the Joker is proof Hollywood has done a fantastic job alienating at least half the United States and to a lesser extent the western world. They spew ivory tower propaganda and treat male audiences like dirt. In the name of political correctness, stuff that was acceptable in films even just 10, 12, 15, 20 years ago is now taboo, as they have to fulfill more tick boxing. This stifles any amateur film maker and independent film producers are going elsewhere, for good reason.

To no surprise, the change of narrative within Hollywood in the past 10 years has ultimately lead to many video game productions suffering the same fate. I spoiled most of the God of War Ragnarok storyline and if I didn’t already know this franchise, I would of thought this was a Disney open world game. Because it ticks off a lot of the same garbage commonplace in modern Hollywood films.

And, in conclusion, this stuff is so boring. For a long time I admired Sony’s great graphics and set pieces, but their exclusives (which end up on PC eventually) just feel the same, without the engaging gameplay. A lot of indies look and feel the same sure, but at least they try to value gameplay more so than anything else.

In turn, Hollywood has become more childish and while it has always sucked to a degree, these pampered imbeciles are standing on their soapboxes more than they did in the recent past. The MeToo disaster was an embarrassment. Scandals are commonplace because it what makes the business relevant.

The big studios have run out of any ideas and originality. It’s only good when people who are disgusted and given up on Hollywood are trying to make more entertainment decentralized, and not be forced to make reboots, reinterpretations or remakes, with questionable casting choices.

@Infected Elite Then leave. I don't need your input and I certainly don't need to constantly be told "just shut up" and "either watch the movies or you don't". If you're going to be condescending then you're just wasting your time.

You troll people you don't like to get a reaction. I wish you to enjoy your holidays, but that's all I'm going to give.

@VoidVictorious Do you want me to list everything I enjoyed over the past five years or so? I even recommended some stuff to people only to have that being spit back to me because it does not fall in accordance to what I think is good.

Case in point, LC-Fraggers claiming all Chris Gore is bitch about Hollywood and reminisce about the old days.

@LC-Fraggers By deeply flawed views you mean stuff that caters more to the right of the political spectrum. You can't be bothered to watch stuff that falls more in line with my set of thinking so why should I bother taking some of the suggestions you and others gave?

Whatever. You're just as guilty because you can't be bothered to listen to anything people from a different 'side' are saying.

Enjoy your new Hollywood media. I will just sit back and laugh and not bother engaging with any of it, since you seem fit to go along with progressive ideals.

@Abby_TheLastofUs Maybe because you keep injecting the same crap and you're tossing out everything I said to you anyway.

Your side has its share of faults also.

@Raidou Kuzunoha XIV You are contradicting yourself here. You ask me to be open and allow myself to discover new things, including new people with a set of different ideas. Then in the same statement you're saying I'm basically being closet minded by following some people who are centrist, right wing in political stance, which to you I'm sure, borders on Trump territory.

I know plenty of conservative people in my life who respect the lives and decisions of those who are liberal. In turn, I think some of your peers are venturing too far into the far left, which does not respect capitalism, rather it favors socialism and communism. This is a textbook discussion that I would rather not dive into here. This goes beyond black & white. There are shades of grey, applying to everything from Japanese anime to your average American Hollywood flick.

In all fairness, I discover new things every day, some I reject, some I welcome with open arms. That includes YouTubers I never knew existed. There's at least 20 - 50 indies and AA games that came out in the past year or so that I would love to try out at some point. The things I discover on my own or with others aren't always new either. You start life with a blank piece of paper, and as you age your diary fills with more pages of content.

What I think you're trying to convey is I'm closing off ideas that fall more in accordance to what you think is good. This goes down to entertainment. Obviously we have different ideas, even just looking at our trophy lists we don't exactly enjoy the same games.

My favorite era of movie making is the 1980's - 2000's, because obviously, that was the comeback era where epic franchises like Back to the Future and Indiana Jones made a splash. I still love those films to this day. Every day I find movies from that time that I never knew were even around, and often you either get a pretty bad movie or a hidden gem. Usually the former, but when you watch that hidden gem you feel some appreciation.

@LC-Fraggers Chris Gore is just one voice. That YouTube channel containing that video has a whole array of different voices from Hollywood, including people who are very much in agreement with your own perspective and viewpoints. But judging by the comment you gave me I kind of doubt you're going to bother with any of it, because it's whining Boomer talk about the old days.

The rest of your comment including The Little Mermaid which will release this coming year, just no. That's obvious swapping. Plenty of people out there have already made complaints about the film doing this.

@VoidVictorious I have reasonable standards. I watched two episodes of Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power and immediately decided I will no longer bother with that utter trash.

I guess I live in the past because I think Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy, including the exceptional film The Return of the King is one of the best films in cinema history and it sets a very high benchmark for what filmmaking can portray.

Amazon spent $1 billion on Rings of Power, if not more, making it the most expensive television show in history. And it's garbage.

@Jeanoltt So what are the people using "woke" then?

@Infected Elite When you're a politician, high profile filmmaker, etc, you have a lot of opposition. You have to hold your ground.

I've watched several movies, old and not so old over the past month. So your insult is meaningless.

@DrBloodmoney The films you listed are suggestions. I watched The Wolf of Wall Street along with a few others mentioned. Admittedly, that film with Leonardo DiCaprio was pretty good.

You can see much of the gameplay and actual game just watching livestreams on Twitch and YouTube. This is what I did for God of War Ragnarok. It’s just an extension of God of War 2018. The gameplay and combat felt much too slow and a bit sluggish. You had your common ‘eye’ enemies with the occasional troll. Then a story cutscene ensues with dialogue between Kratos and Arteus. Eventually a bigger fight ensues. The pacing is much slower than it was in the ‘old’ God of War games. Sony is practically regurgitating The Last of Us template and applying it to almost every major franchise they have. Instead of the IPs looking distinct and playing differently, they all start to feel and look the same. I don’t think 4K resolution and 60 FPS would make a difference.

This is where Hollywood is at now. For every good movie like Top Gun Maverick, there is a bunch of fair to mediocre films. Most Disney productions have the same glitter with the same shoved in politics.

I still engage in a lot of games. I’ve bought a number of indie games where I only watched a few seconds of a video. Movies on the other hand I basically have to be told they’re good and recommended, and without any of that political stuff I mentioned. When you do politics right in a story, it can be fascinating. If you do it wrong, like many Hollywood flicks of the past few years, you generally turn off a lot of people.

The rest of your comment at me can be summed up as not seeing eye to eye. People leaning to the Left have a big bias, as those people leaning to the Right have. I don’t support the Left anymore, I dropped them around five years ago and I don’t plan on aligning with them anytime soon. I’m more of a traditionalist, since this current climate has been…. not the most healthy one.

@LC-Fraggers I must point out that until the 60’s, Hollywood was highly racist towards minorities. Many, including African Americans, could only get minor roles at best, including the stereotypical butler or maid role.

The old westerns appealed to a male Caucasian demographic, by far the biggest demographic in the United States and still is. However, the tables have shifted, as those traditional male roles are now being looked down upon in place of diversity roles for the sake of diversity.

If you hear a lot of people expressing their distaste about this, they have a good reason for it.

The problem with redrawing those lines is the studios are taking the old IPs and twisting them into their own image. One that doesn’t exactly resonate with a lot of people, and one that brushes many of them away.

Look at what has happened to Marvel and DC comics over the past several years.

Star Wars…. I don’t need to tell you what happened to that franchise. Chris Gore in my view is straight to the point with his opinions on it.

@DrBloodmoney So a group of YouTubers that I genuinely enjoy who fall “centrist”/right wing in their political commentary are hateful?

I might as well start watching one sided documentaries and tell you everything I saw are FACTS, with no rebuttals or critical thinking whatsoever.

It’s no different than having old retired men believe everything their dinosaur media tells them on the screen. We just happen to have access to many alternate forms of media and literature, things that they didn’t have for most of their lives.

Face it man, you have your own bias as I do mine. And I didn’t just start watching videos like Chris Gore for the hell of it. It was because I genuinely felt the same way of Hollywood movies.

There’s just as many cynical, mewling, hateful people in the left-wing echo chamber on YouTube. I find it better to take a more neutral stance, or just don’t discuss politics at all.

I would like you to watch at least 10 - 30 minutes of the Chris Gore video I posted earlier and tell me what you think. Is that hateful? Is that being stuck in the past?

I deleted a number of responses here since they were little more than just attacks. You can criticize my lack of taste in movies, whatever, but sheer attacks will get deleted. I’m sorry but I’m just not putting up with that crap.

@Raidou Kuzunoha XIV You are completely off the mark here. Saying a “centrist” point of view, especially one on the entertainment industry is wrong…. I don’t know what to say about that.

Most of the rest of your ongoing statement is being concerned…. for what? You think I’m narrow minded, but I can very much say the same to you.

You’re a prime example of why politics generally shouldn’t be discussed in any public setting. My rant on Hollywood is political, because frankly I’m tired of being shoved the message. Someone suggested The Wolf of Wall Street, which is s pretty good movie starring Leonardo DiCaprio. A few suggested I’ve seen already. Others I watched already, others I’m not interested in seeing. A number of those films aren’t new as they have already been around for several years at this point.

This status update I’m sure has pissed off a bunch of people, but I’m just saying it the way I see it. This is a rant, and I honestly don’t know what to tell you because I was just posting my hot take on Hollywood.

As for the right wing/centrist stuff, I’m more supportive of conservatives because they don’t seem to be the ones dictating what should go in the western entertainment industry. I officially jumped off the leftist bandwagon in 2017 after I watched the Democratic Party go ballistic over Donald Trump. So I’ve admitted my political leanings. MSM such as Fox News is hateful garbage, I follow a few channels who are Libertarian, conservatives leaning. None of them big channels.

I’ve watched a lot of indie films, I’ve played a lot of indie games if you ever bothered looking at my trophy profile. But a critique of modern Hollywood movies and shows, obviously I can’t do that. Not without getting people upset, which goes back to the notion that admitting your leanings will piss off at least half your audience.

@Jeanoltt While this isn’t what I wanted my rant to be, I’ll research some of these films.

If any of them are preaching modern day politics, identity politics, LGBTQ+, BlackLivesMatters or other social issues of our time, then I will NOT watch them. It’s that simple.

@PooPooBlast I appreciate you taking a rational stance and I understand your decision.

But this is honestly my hot take on Hollywood show business. I didn’t ask for movie suggestions because that’s not what my rant was aiming at.

The problem is much of the stuff I’m saying has been written in numerous articles and videos on YouTube have discussed the issues with modern day Hollywood multiple times. To a degree, this is also affecting the video game industry.

People on the ‘Left’, including those like yourself, seem to mostly ignore these issues or at least, don’t see them as problems.

Which is why I’ve turned to more Japanese anime and manga. I’m not a weeb, but I find that stuff far more fascinating than most all modern Hollywood garbage. I wanted to be entertained, not lectured.

@Jeanoltt Depends on the manufacturer. KIA Motors is good. Some Subaru, Toyota vehicles are decent.

Chevy, Dodge and most of the American car manufacturers still crank out trash.

More like I’m criticizing the sun and you can’t see the forest for the trees.

@Infected Elite Ever use Twitter and Facebook? I have, and I was canceled and criticized to the point where I just deleted my accounts.

Expand your horizons, and you will find more people that don’t fall on the same page.

@VoidVictorious Since when was I supposed to have to indicate positivity in a rant that I myself made?

You didn’t make any remarks when I praised certain franchises like Yakuza. But make a rant, any rant, doesn’t matter the context, and there you are firing away.

You don’t have an argument because you are incapable of making one. You just sit there and say “be positive”, like I typically hear from social media.

You volunteered to post on my status update, and you have the choice to ignore it as you please.

@Infected Elite I made my point. You made yours.

And don’t tell me I’m the only one you’ve directed hate towards because frankly I’ve seen you post the same drivel to others. You told someone “I just don’t like you” without really explaining why.

Since you hate me for posting opinions that conflict with yours, I’ll end this by saying “Identity politics don’t belong in story telling. Including Hollywood movies.” End of story.

Modern cinema sucks. I said it. That’s my opinion, and you getting all upset when you could of just not volunteered to participate is your own fault.

@DrBloodmoney Some video viewing that I think you should take a look at:

You couldn’t even be bothered to articulate what I just said. Saying Everything is Political is basically saying Pong or those stupid things we did as kids are political. Can you actually define that?

All you took from my comment was the last sentence I wrote, instead of explaining how Hollywood has changed with the times. I don’t agree with a lot of Chris Gore is saying, but I think it helps to understand where other people that aren’t on the same page as you where they’re getting their ideas from.

You listed several dozen movies, a number of which I never even heard of and a few that I’m not interested in watching. Initially I made this a rant on how Hollywood itself is generally pretty narrow minded. Instead, you’re telling me I don’t dive enough into the movies, despite me having watched a number of smaller budget films from independent film producers and whatnot over the past several years, including documentaries.

You’re just listing suggestions, and I can take them or leave them. You make the same decision. There’s a lot of old movies I’m not interested in seeing and the same goes for new movies.

You’re acting like you have some irrational hate boner because something I said politically didn’t bode well for you. Or you simply feel that me watching a show that came out decades ago that multiple generations of Star War fans loved is much too narrow minded.
