Platinum #105:
🐱 Stray
This is easily some of the most fun I've had with a game in a while. Am I biased because it's a cat game? A bit, but that doesn't take away from how good this game is. It manages to be silly with all the cat parts while also having gorgeous environments and an interesting story that makes you want to keep playing. Like most people have already said, it is a fairly short game, but I think that's fine. Even if it's short it manages to tell an interesting story and be a fun game, which I'd rather have than a long and boring game.
The speed run trophy wasn't so bad either, I managed to get it my first time with time to spare. (Even though I died a few times in the Jail chapter lol.)
I don't want to put any spoilers, but the ending definitely made me tear up a bit. Such a great game. I might try out the Japanese version as well.

Oooh, niiiice, big congratulations, you already completed Stray. =D Nice job, Jelloy! City 99 has several rich environments to soak in, but yeah, 'twas even more fun and nifty hopping through them as a housecat. 83
Haven't yet reached the speedrun trophy myself, but I truly don't see foresee high difficulty there. Now, Can't Cat-ch Me...irritated me, it def. seems RNG-ier than I'd prefer (a couple of the mini Zurks break away from the pack at seemingly unpredictable intervals), buuut I succeeded at it & that puts the major challenge/annoyance behind me. Phew. Should be smooth sailing from here on out 'til the Platty.~

@Zassy I'm not really a speedrun kind of person, but even I didn't have too much trouble with it. It gives you a fair bit of room to make mistakes too, which is nice.
Yeah... that was definitely the most annoying trophy. Once I got the route down it seemed doable, but there were definitely a few attempts where it felt like I died to RNG, rather than skill.

Played a bit of Stray, and so far I'm really enjoying it. The environment is just so interesting it makes you want to explore everything. It also helps that you're an adorable cat just doing cat things along the way.

SpongeBob SquarePants Battle for Bikini Bottom
I never played the original game, so I went into this one with no real nostalgia for it, and it was... okay. I haven't watched any of the newer SpongeBob stuff, but it was fun to see all the references and just generally explore Bikini Bottom. That being said, I found a lot of the game to be more annoying than fun. (Especially all of the Kelp Forest level.) I don't think it's a bad game, but definitely not one I'll play again, or one that I super enjoyed overall.
At least it was free on PS+.

Nice work! ^^
I loved the SpongeBob cartoon as a kid. One of the few cartoons I continued watching for a while due to the crazy antics and super hilarious moments it had. The newer stuff is kinda dull compared to the old episodes. As for the game, no idea, never played the original either. Everyone says it was a fun platformer so I was kinda looking forward to this one when they gave it for free on PS+.I am still interested in trying it out at some point, though. I mean, it was free after all. Can't go wrong there. xxD

@Honor_HandYeah, I liked the show before, but I haven't really watched any of the new stuff! The game is definitely worth checking out if you're a fan of the show, it just wasn't really for me.

Steins;Gate: My Darling's Embrace
A much lighter Steins;Gate game (especially after 0), I enjoyed it overall, though I did find some parts kind of boring. Especially with Mayuri's route, I found myself getting pretty bored. (I think she works a lot better as a side character rather than a main love interest.) I really enjoyed Kurisu's route though, of course, as she's easily my favorite character in the franchise.
This was also the first visual novel I played on PS4, and I gotta say... I really do prefer the vita for visual novels. >_<

Kitaria Fables
A nice and cute kitty adventure game for platinum #100.
Overall I enjoyed this game, though there were a few features I didn't really see the point of. (ie: I don't think farming really needed to be included or added much to the game.) There was definitely quite a bit of grinding as well, but I didn't mind most of it. Once you get into the hang of it, it's a pretty relaxing game.

Great work on the platinum! =D
I added this one to my wish list a couple of months based on the fact that it was an adventure game with kitty characters and that it looked cute as heck. Yeah, I am that easy to be won over when it comes to games. 😶
Nice to hear that you had a good time with this one. Sounds like it should be an appropriate title to have a relaxing time. Congrats on the milestone too. ^^ -

Thanks everyone!
@MidnightDragon There are a few parts that can be frustrating, but overall I had fun with it! It's nothing groundbreaking, but it's certainly a cute little adventure.
@Honor_Hand The whole reason I bought it was because I saw a cat on the cover.
I'm pretty easy to win over as well.
@Zassy Had to have some kind of cat game for a milestone.

Neptunia x Senran Kagura: Ninja Wars
A crossover game with two franchises I quite like?
Definitely was excited to check this one out, and it was a lot of silly fun. The Yomi Training at the end definitely had some difficult parts, especially compared to some other Neptunia and Senran Kagura games, but I was able to beat it after a few tries and rearranging my spirit gems.
Now to think of what platinum to go for for #100!

Nice one, congrats on the platinum!
I bet it was nice seeing these two franchises make a crossover with one another. I haven't had the chance to experience all of the games from both franchises but that's something I am certainly planning on doing. So far I have good progress already on SK. I mostly need to catch up with the Neptunia games, of which there is a myriad of them out there. 😅I really like this Yuuki gal they added to this new game 'cause, y'know, neko girl looks hot. 👀 But that's just me and my undying obsessions for catgirls. A great reason alone for me to check out the game at some point for sure.
-
@Zassy Yeah, the Yomi Training is definitely the most difficult part of the game. I managed to get through it by using Miyabi and Yuuki though! I definitely liked Yuuki as a character, and Goh as well. Definitely can't go wrong with a cat girl though.
For some reason I just couldn't get into Odin Sphere... I'll have to go back and try it someday, but I don't think it will be right away.
@MidnightDragon I'm not too sure yet, but I was thinking maybe Kitaria Fables. I started playing it a while back and was enjoying it. Can't go wrong with a cute cat game.
@Honor_Hand Yeah, I mostly need to catch up on the Neptunia games as well. There are just so many of them.
I already own a few of them, I just need to find the time to actually play them.
Yuuki is definitely a lot of fun.
She also helped me get through some of the most difficult parts of the game.

Neptunia x Senran Kagura:
The Peaches and Cream mini-game on Hard was way more annoying than it needed to be. 😭 It probably doesn't help that I don't like motion controls
-
-
@Zassy Yeah, I had no issues on Easy and Normal, but that trick on hard... ugh it messed me up so many times! I failed quite a few times on the third stage too, which was even more frustrating.

Platinum #98: A Street Cat's Tale
A very simple and short game, but it has quite a bit of charm, and it's a very cute game all around.
I'm of course a sucker for cat-related games as well.

Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town
A remake of one of my favorite games as a kid! I played it on the switch as well when it was released, so I was excited to play it on Playstation again and get the trophies.
Some of the trophies were definitely a grind, but the game is so much fun it didn't matter. I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who likes Stardew Valley!

@Honor_Hand I'd definitely recommend checking out Stardew Valley when you have time! 😁 Even people who aren't usually into farming sims seem to often enjoy it!

Platinum #96: Senran Kagura Burst Re:Newal
Finally getting back into some playstation games after being busy/mainly playing switch! I actually played the Japanese version of this game when it was released, but decided to try it out again to see how the English version is. 😆

They're definitely fun games! I'm thinking of checking out the Neptunia x Senran Kagura one at some point soon!

Persona 5 Royal
Took me quite a while to finish this one as I've been a bit busy, but finally finished everything including all the new content! Persona 5 was already one of my top favorite games, and I wasn't sure what to expect out of Royal, but they really managed to make an already great game even better. The new characters, third semester, and even small changes all make playing Royal worth it, even if you've already played the original.
