  1. [Shadow of the Colossus] I'm surprised I've yet to break anything with how horrible the third time attack is.

      Did you try Hemiak's method?

"For #3 use the shoulder trick. What it is:

Camp on his right shoulder near the armor Ridge. Hell lean over and try to shake you off his right arm. While he's doing that the rest of his body is practically immobile.

First sword jump to his arm, not belly. Climb the arm and go straight to his head. He should lean over and try to shake you off his right arm that you're no longer climbing. You should be able to get 2-3 full stabs in the head before it ends. Then finish off the head while he walks. You can also head straight back to the shoulder and force him to initiate the trick again if you can't finish off the head fast enough

Next do the shoulder trick again. While doing it he raises his left arm straight up in the air, allowing you to run straight to the target and begin stabbing at full power.

Once that's dead, do the trick one more time. As soon as he starts,  drop to his waist. You can get 3+ stabs while he's bent over trying to dislodge you from his arm. Then it's just a couple chip shots and he's down.

With this method I finished with almost a full minute on the clock."

It saved me a lot of time and frustration, I think. I got through all the Hard Time Attacks without too much trouble, though. Was much easier than I expected. One thing I did differently though, was sword jump to the belly, and maybe stab it once before jumping to the arm. I could almost never get the timing right, to make it straight to the arm. :/

Haven't tried the shoulder method yet. The first two days of trying have mostly boiled down to getting the sword jump down and playing anything else to clam myself down in-between the attempts.

I will say though, I have the exact opposite experience for the sword jump in that I find it more reliable to jump onto the arm parallel to the sword than it is to go towards the belly at an angle.

I recently started this game up again, after a layoff of about 6 years. I don't think I have the energy for this HTA nonsense. Good luck to you!
