  1. Yes, so long as no trophies are popped before January 1st 🤓
  2. About to buy some PS3 DLC and discovered the 25% EU discount code expired two days ago.. D'oh! 😓

  3. From my research last night, no.. 😥 I think the only way this is possible now is to borrow somebody's account that previously purchased the DLC.. The chances of finding someone who is willing to do that I would say are slim-to-none.
  4. I think whilst rules are still being discussed and finalised, we'll leave the start date as it is for now - and I'll tag everyone who has entered in a post to remind them. @Last-_-Judgment for example you're now allowed 1 FREE letter swap 👍
  5. I'm happy to change it back.. 😉
  6. An earlier start still allows that, people who don't wish to start until January don't have to do so (and that is still when the event officially begins). People with itchy trigger fingers can start early, but they cannot change their list once they have started. I'm like you, I have quite a few other games I want to finish before 2019 is out (I've committed to finishing some in another event) - but starting early means I could combine games from more events, and I'm not restricting myself from starting any games in the meantime - which would go against the reason for starting this in the first place! There's at least 26 games that participants have to complete.. It's unlikely that anyone will start and finish before 2020, and if they do then congrats to them.
  7. My gut wants to disallow your example as I've never known the game referred to as just "Ultimate Alliance". "Tom Clancy" games on the other hand, I refer to them as just "Splinter Cell" or "Ghost Recon" for example so would allow that.. 👍 I hope that my recent update makes this clear.. 🙂 Games that start with Numbers can be counted as either the first letter of the number - or - the first actual letter from the game's title - without penalty eg. "101 Ways to Die" as "O" (One Hundred and One) - or - "W" (Ways) You raise a very valid point. I quite like the idea of having an early start as a reward for those who are decisive and commit to a list early. It allows that bit of extra time for RPGs to be more easily considered, and there's potentially more events a list can be combined with should people wish to do so. Perhaps the event could go live on 1st September 2019 for those who wish to commit - but the list cannot be changed once they have done so. However, a user will need to signal to me that they are starting.
  8. TrueTrophies are reporting that the Challenger trophy for mastering the Blur Challenges is unobtainable. Anyone able to confirm? 😥
  9. My final list.. 😁 ⏸️ Alice: Madness Returns (PS3) => 7% ⏹️ Brink (PS3) ⏹️Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse (PS3) ⏹️ Deus Ex: Human Revolution (PS3) ⏹️ Earthlock (EU) (PS4) ⏹️ Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy (PS4) ⏹️ God of War II (PS3) ⏹️ H <=> Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3) ⏹️ InFAMOUS (PS3) ⏹️ Journey (PS4) ⏹️ Kingdom Hearts Final Mix (PS3) ⏹️ Life is Strange (PS4) ⏹️ Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS3) ⏹️ Naughty Bear (PS3) ⏹️ Oxenfree (PS4) ⏹️ Plague Inc: Evolved (PS4) ⏹️ Q.U.B.E. Penalty game added for second non-letter swap Splinter Cell: Blacklist (PS3). 17/10/19 - Black Mirror (PS3) swapped for Brink (PS3)
  10. Yes, just make sure you let me know which is your final list.. 😉 Great question and your point has been noted. I think it is only fair to allow substitution of those games without penalty, using your example The Walking Dead for W. Also, where numbers are concerned I think it makes more sense using the first actual letter. Perhaps I could allow 1 or 2 free swaps, and/or reduce the 5 game/letter swap to just 1 additional game instead of 3? How does that sound? I want to keep some form of penalty as it's actually only 1 extra game per swap, and these swaps could be as easy or as hard as you like. That's all we're doing at this stage.. Pre-event beta-lists or whatever you want to call them 😅
  11. Correct - episodic games with a list per episode (ie. Jurassic Park) should be the full game (will clarify in rules). That's absolutely fine, I was toying with the idea and figured I would gauge interest 🙂 The sign up deadline is open to discussion, but I was thinking January 31st 2020 potentially.
  12. I hear you buddy, I'm quite staggered and horrified by the list of games that I have which haven't even seen a boot screen.. 😨 ..and yet the temptation is still there to buy more!!
  13. I hope they do Final Fantasy VI but I doubt it.. 😔
  14. Can't wait to get my hands on this, my favourite of the series.. 😍
  15. #20 WRC 3: FIA World Rally Championship Enjoyment: 6/10 Difficulty: 4/10 Time taken: 1 year, 4 months Quite a gap between starting this one and finishing it, primarily because it started feeling a bit grindy. Considering it was one of the earlier WRC games, I'd say it's probably one of the better ones in terms of feeling like you're driving a rally car although I'm not too sure the arcade style mini-games really worked, which is probably why they didn't make a return in the series. Overall it wasn't too difficult, though there was certainly some challenge there..
  16. 1,668 unearned trophies from 78 games.. Pretty bad really. Meh.. 😅
  17. #19 Game of Thrones Enjoyment: 8/10 Difficulty: 0/10 Time taken: 1 week, 5 days Telltale games always feel a bit cheap and dirty trophy wise, but the game was actually quite enjoyable (which is surely the main thing?). It's just a shame that player decisions never affect these games as much as you'd like..
  18. Gran Turismo 5.. and it's probably going to be one of the last ones I get the platinum for (if I do)! 😂
  19. I don't see any issue with it, as long as the game's completion stays below 35% before adding it. It may fall foul of this rule After the event begins, you can make up to three swaps as long as you haven't worked on it during the challenge. So we'll flag @MidnightDragon to clarify..
  20. I'm hoping to change my profile name in the coming months, but would need the following games tested and confirmed working to do so if anyone can help: Gran Turismo 5 (PS3) - Career progress Pure Pool (PS4) - Career progress and accolades Table Top Racing: World Tour (PS4) - Career progress The Four Kings Casino and Slots (PS4) - Multiplayer level, in-game progress Worms 2: Armageddon (PS3) - Career & DLC progress, multiplayer progress I can't afford to lose any progress in these games.. 😬
  21. She's doing a lot better now thank you 🙂
  22. I'm deferring my list from the Summer 2019 Backlog Challenge where I've been pretty dreadful, to be fair.. The intention was there, but I started with a game that was a bit of a sucker punch to the kidneys (Beach Buggy Racing) and lost all direction with the list - instead opting to work on the multiplayer for F1 2017 (level 50) and mopping up what I can on The Four Kings Slots & Casino. I plan to give this list a much better, more focused attempt during this challenge.. 😈 I'm adding quite a few games to feel less confined, but instead of adding another bunch of unstarted games I'm adding games that I've already started and haven't really given them as much attention, taking advantage of the rule a maximum of five games can have a completion percentage of up to 35%, but the rest must be 30% or under, in the hope that my increasing overall completion % will be an additional motivator for success. Deferring from Summer challenge: Assassin's Creed II (PS4) : 0% => 18% => 30% => 38% Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS3) : 0% ↔️ Color Guardians (PS4) : 30% Beach Buggy Racing (PS4) : 17% Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered : 0% ↔️ I Am Alive (PS3) : 9% Additional Games: Final Fantasy VII (PS4) : 10% God of War (PS3) : 5% Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS4) : 31% Heavy Rain (PS3) : 11% Killzone (PS3) : 32% LEGO Jurassic World (PS4) : 16% => 34% => 61% => 64% Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (PS3) : 15% => 21% Saints Row: The Third (PS3) : 3% Spyro the Dragon (PS4) : 25% Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (PS4) : 26% Watch Dogs (PS4) : 26% Wolfenstein: The New Order (PS4) : 7% --- Updates: #1, #2, #3, #4, #5, #6 Swaps used: 2/5
  23. So, I'm opting to defer this on to the Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Backlog Challenge where I hope to be able to give this a much better go. Unfortunately last week was a complete write-off as my little girl was admitted to Hospital.. Looking at the list of games, there's very little probability of me having the time to accomplish the challenge. I'll swap out Game of Thrones since I've made a start on it and it'll probably be the only game that I do successfully 100% before the end of August, and will most likely add a couple of others given the additional time.. 🙂
