  1. Yes, the crimes were a bit repetitive and unfortunately they were also a necessity in order to get tokens for upgrades or new gear. I think this was supposed to make you feel like there was a definite purpose to completing them. "It's ok kids. Stop the crimes and get a shiny token."
  2. I was just wondering which ps plus title from 2019 is everybody's least favorite of the year. For me I'd have to say it is The Witness. I haven't really enjoyed playing it as it seems like there really isn't a point to aimlessly solving all these puzzles. Maybe I just missed the point. Anyway, feel free to let us know if there was a plus title for this year that stands above the rest as the least enjoyable.
  3. It could be positive, but people complain so much about how awful the titles are each month that it would probably turn negative. I just wanted to know what everybody thought was their worst of the year. Kind of like a razzy (?) award for games.
  4. This is how it worked for me last night. Thank you so much for posting this because the other method wasn't working for me at all and I was getting so frustrated just trying to make it to the maze puzzles. The puzzle solver didn't help so much, especially when it came to the cylinder puzzles.
  5. I agree. I really miss the vita titles and was upset that I didn't have plus for a few months and missed out on some titles I had really wanted to play.
  6. If you would like to list your least favorites, feel free to do so. I know there was more I was disappointed with this year, but that's nothing new for each year that passes.
  7. I am just wondering if I am the only one to do this. I was playing Ratchet and Clank (2016) and since I can't seem to "git gud" I raged over the race portion of the game. I got so irate that I couldn't get under the time limit I pulled the disc and Frisbeed the damn thing out the back door and probably into somebody else's yard. I didn't stop with that. I then proceeded to email Insomniac and told them that their company should've died with the PS2. This isn't the first time I've sent an angry email to a game developer. My favorite being how I told somebody that I hope when they die they are sent to an endless purgatory solving the shitty puzzles they programmed. Is it time for me to give up the whole trophy quest?
  8. My wife found my disc and I tested it to make sure it worked and ended up calmly playing the race over. Finally earned what I needed after 5 or 6 tries. Surprisingly what helped me come back calmer was watching youtube compilations of game rage. I know I have looked like they have before and you all are right. Being angry at not earning a trophy really sucks the joy out of it. I want gaming to be fun again. Thanks to all who took the time.
  9. Believe it or not I used to love games for the epic stories they tell. I still have games I play for that reason, but somehow I feel like I'm compelled to earn every trophy and it takes away from my experience. Sometimes I wish trophies never became a thing. It used to be good enough to just finish a game. Can't pick up this game anymore. Lost the disc after I whipped it out the back door.
  10. While I was actually able to earn all the trophies in the base game, I found that I had a lot of difficulty in some places. Mostly it was the boss fights, but I can't say I enjoyed this game very much. The story was decent, I just had a big problem with the gameplay. I didn't find the controls very responsive and when I went to dodge some enemies it seemed like they would jump 10 feet and still connect with their hits. Groups of enemies, especially the Sable forces, would be frustrating to get through also as they were able to overwhelm me fairly easily. I also found the sneak missions as other characters a bit annoying. They felt necessary for the story and were interesting to see somebody else's point of view, but annoying nonetheless. Not sure if I'm excited for the sequel or not.
  11. I have been watching 7 seeds. It is rather interesting, but a scary concept if it ever happened in reality.
  12. My favorite will probably always be Skyrim. Just the amount of content in even the base game and I absolutely loved the storyline. I've been a fan of the Elder Scrolls since Morrowind, but Skyrim was above the rest. Mostly because the Nords are my favorites and to see their homeland made it that much more special for me.
  13. I don't agree. I absolutely hated the combat system on this one. The story for me hasn't been overly memorable either.
  14. I happen to notice that on these flash sales it seems like it is a lot of the same games that go on sale and a lot of those are games that were previously offered through plus. Do they just go on sale to boost their sales numbers?
  15. I have the plat for shinovi versus. Working on estival for vita and valkyrie drive.
  16. We had an Atari 2600. Used to live playing pole position and pitfall. The first console that was truly mine and not for all us kids was a Sega genesis shortly after they started selling it with Sonic the Hedgehog instead of Altered Beast. I remember playing the original battletoads. You are right in that it is a remarkably fun game, but so hard. I also loved pilotwings. I still have a copy along with our snes.
  17. I always appreciate a good story and there are so many good ones out there and some not so much, but you never know until you try.
  18. Time. I think that as technology improves that trophies will change into something else or become irrelevant altogether. I also think that as I get older trophy hunting won't make much sense to me anymore as I will have other priorities in life. Everything has an ending.
  19. I have it happen on my phone and my tablet quite frequently. You are not alone. I find that I have to stay away from the site for a few days and then come back to it.
  20. AC Odyssey. I find myself taking the enjoyment out of games because I am trying too hard to plat it and that is killing my enjoyment. I am getting burnt out on it and needed a break. Odyssey has been one of those games where I find myself just playing for the enjoyment of it. I am 79 hours in and still have so much left to do. It is really a great title for me.
  21. I find that anymore all I am becoming is increasingly frustrated when it comes to trophy hunting. I already blow ass when it comes to difficulty trophies, I can't even platinum a Ratchet and Clank title. Just now I became so enraged when I messed up an artifex mundi title. It seems the only titles I will be able to platinum soon will be games made for toddlers and even those I can see screwing up. My frustration level keeps going up while my patience reaches zero. Yet, I feel so compelled to earn every trophy I can. Any suggestions on what I should do or should I just stop hunting altogether? I know that would probably make my wife happy.
  22. Currently doing this with AC Odyssey. Having a really great time with the game.
  23. I agree. I'm not 100 hours in, but so far this is the most fun I've had with an AC game. For me the open world discovery and side quests are reminiscent of an Elder Scrolls title, maybe not to the same scale, but I love it.
  24. I have steins gate and a host of others, but have to motivate myself to get back into them. Surprisingly I have found that by starting assassin's creed odyssey without pressuring myself on it and just running around exploring and treating it like skyrim I am having a more enjoyable time. Thank you both for taking the time to reply.
  25. Ran errands.
