  1. I also got the notification despite not following the user or the game. Weird. As for the issue, we might need some more information- what region is the copy of the game you have? Is it physical or digital? Are you trying to download it through a HK account? The last time I had experience with downloading DLC from the HK store was with one of the old Assassin's Creed games. That time it only worked when I went into the game to download the DLC on the HK account, and then switched back to my main. When I tried just downloading from the store it didn't work. So, if there's a way to download the DLC in game, I'd try that if you haven't.
  2. Would definitely recommend Infamous! I played the most recent instalments on PS4 a few years ago and only recently went back to play the earlier ones on PS3. If you're planning to get all of them done, in case you weren't aware, the online servers for Infamous 2 and Infamous Festival of Blood are pretty unreliable. I had no problems with 2 (but a lot of others have mentioned issues with getting it done) but for Festival of Blood I tried every day over a series of 2 or 3 days to actually get into the servers. It's still entirely possible so I don't mean to turn you off, but worth knowing in case you didn't!
  3. Fair, my bad. Quick research says potentially about 40hrs for the DLC. Depending on how much time you have I'd say it's certainly possible to do, considering even an hour a day from now would mean you could spend over 100 hours on it.
  4. Considering they got the platinum in 2 weeks, 4 days ... I'd say yes. 😊
  5. That's great! Congrats!!
  6. I just got them too!!!! The servers must be relatively stable today so everyone who’s been trying, go go go!!! I started up the game, logged straight on, no connection errors, used the search to teleport straight to the start of 20 different ugc missions, and got the trophies!
  7. On Infamous 2? 30 mins to an hour to do them, but you have to play about 2-3 hours into the game to unlock UGC.
  8. I think you have just been extremely lucky. Personally I did not have any issues on Infamous 2 when I did it the other week but I've been having nothing but trouble with FoB. Have been checking it for the past 2 days trying to see if the servers will let me in, but no luck yet.
  9. Unfortunately I have to report that I just tried this and it didn’t work. Deleted my save, even deleted the game and redownloaded it, played through the story in one sitting, went into the search menu and... no luck. Still “ugc server login failed”. Ugh.
  10. I completely agree, particularly if you have bought them- I did Infamous 2 just the other week with little issues. However Infamous Festival of Blood I'm having no luck getting onto the servers - however the latest achiever started and finished the game in just over 3 hours- appearing to have no server problems. It really is just luck of the draw I think- so it's worth admitting that there is a moderate amount of risk to starting it now - so it's really up to the person as to whether you give it a go or not. I've really enjoyed the Infamous series however so I would say it's still worth a go.
  11. So because I was grasping at straws I tried making my own mission and playing it repeatedly - It didn’t work. I guess it didn’t count because I couldn’t upload it, or because it’s mine (or both). I’ll keep checking periodically to see if the servers are working and I’ll post here if I find that they are. I’ll be following this thread so would really appreciate it if anyone else has any success if they could do the same
  12. Yeah having trouble getting in too, I did the online trophies in 2 last week and really should have quickly gotten FoB done too but I didn’t. Hoping that if we just persevere the servers will come back up long enough to get it done.
  13. It's been a little while since I last updated- and I feel guilty because I don't really have anything particularly impressive to announce, but I have made a bit of progress. None on Assassin's Creed, heh, but I did start Infamous! It probably wasn't initially going to be the next thing I started, but I ended up getting onto it when I heard that the servers for Infamous 2 and Festival of Blood are not too great anymore. Fearing that I'd see spoilers if I started 2 right away to get the online trophies, (which was justified, considering the story of 1 is quickly rehashed at the start of 2) and the fact that it actually is the first Infamous game that is on my list here, I figured I'd get started on it by getting one playthrough done. One playthrough later here I am, with pretty much everything done, only my Hard Evil run to go (and a trophy related to trains, I missed this trophy until I completed all the train related side missions, and it's far too hard to get kills on the thing while it's at top speed haha). It was a really enjoyable game. Collecting the 350 blast shards was certainly something I'm glad I kept track on from the start- considering they don't show up on the map. It could have been a painful trophy but I tried to do it bit by bit as I progressed through the game. Having played the two titles that came to PS4 awhile ago, this game really scratched that Infamous itch I didn't realise I had, and so now I'm again hoping that Sucker Punch will decide to work on their next Infamous title once Ghost of Tsushima comes out. I seriously need more of the graffiti mini game from Infamous Second Son, I loved doing those so much and I can't believe nobody else has utilised the same sort of mechanics elsewhere... (if they have, please tell me because I've totally missed it!) As for next steps on this list-- once I've finished Infamous I'll hopefully start something else on the list (I have started a lot of non-event games over the last month.. oops) but the Last of Us Part 2 totally has me totally engrossed right now. Not only that but I'm going to be away from home for the next week with only my vita for gaming... but of course I've completed the only vita title I added to this list haha. I figured it's probably worth touching on the fact that Cyberpunk 2077 has been delayed again... which sucks when it's a part of this list. Maybe I should utilise the swap I posted in my first post- I guess that way I do have another vita game to play. Hope everyone has been well! 14. I came to this thread to agree- but initially thought that you meant it compared to the first game- where you found the note with the combo and then it just opened. I am really enjoying finding the notes with the codes and then getting to put it in myself- same goes for the keypads and etc too. But I had no idea you could listen for the clicks if you didn't know the code already, that's awesome!
  15. Yes, I noticed it too, it bugged me for a bit but then I got over it. I think regardless of what everyone thinks of it, there should have been an option to turn it on or off.
  16. I just got it done about half an hour ago too, got a few errors but a retry right after and it works again, so the servers seem to be pretty stable at the moment. It’s just the four related to UGC that are online trophies right? The guide doesn’t have an online section or tag any of the trophies as online.
  17. Gameboy Gamecube Gameboy Advance SP Nintendo DS Nintendo DS Lite Nintendo 3DS Nintendo New 3DSXL Wii Wii U Nintendo Switch Nintendo Switch Lite Playstation 2 Playstation 3 Playstation 4 PSP 2 PSVITAs Xbox One X ... I think that’s everything haha. The PlayStation’s are definitely my most loved and most played of the lot... and I’ll be picking up the PS5 day one. The least being the Xbox, bought it at a decent Black Friday price, played quantum break and a bit of forza, and haven’t gone back since. I still own all of the above consoles and I normally keep all my consoles but with the backwards compatibility on the series X I’d consider trading the Xbox in.
  18. Or you do.... and then disconnect before it's over.. I was so mad lol. Coal Mine is definitely one of the rarest ones to show up I'd say, but you've just gotta keep playing and hope the others in the match will vote for it.
  19. You'll have to tell us which statement, from what I can see, Taz also confirms that online is required, no conflicting statements here.
  20. I figure I better post an update now - currently sitting at 54.51% — which is a fairly substantial increase for me. I’m still thinking 60% as an end goal was probably a bit too high of a goal- but we’ll see. This month I did take a focus to trying to finish off old games instead of starting new ones, and a few of the new games I did start I also finished. One of the special mentions of the month being Superhot VR, locking in as my new rarest trophy and platinum, and I am so glad and proud that I managed to finish it. The reason I post my update now is it’s looking like I’m going to start a new game or two heh... which is surely going to see my percentage for the month finish lower than it is now.. but we’ll see.
  21. Here's another update from me- this week I started and platinumed Unravel! This is my 9th plat for the event. Ideally I want to still be a bit further ahead on plat count than I am but there's still plenty of time in the year to turn that around. I just fear I'm going to be super distracted by all the new releases (should have put more of them on my list!). Unravel was super cute, great story and visuals, and clever puzzle sections that definitely got me thinking. The 9 hour completion time suggested by the guide on this site seems a little generous but I *did* do a blind run of each level before going back for missed collectibles and no death attempts.. I knew what to expect coming in having already played the second game, and playing others like Limbo, but man some of the misc trophies and no death runs sucked. The trophy for not swatting any mosquitoes is a standout for me as when the button for swatting them is the same button that I need to press to grapple and pull items about, it was easy to accidentally swat the mosquitoes. No death runs were frustrating too when I'd make it through several nail-biting sections consisting of a mix of luck and skill only to squash myself when I pull open a door or pull an object down at the very end of the level. x) Other than Unravel I did keep playing a bit of Assassin's Creed Odyssey, but not enough to earn some more trophies since my last update. Otherwise I think I lost a lot of time to Superhot VR, which I did platinum as well! I didn't put it in this event as I'd already started it but I've been working on it a good while. Glad to have it done. As for between now and my next update, I'll likely keep playing Assassins' Creed, and maybe start another shorter title. We'll see how I go. Hope everyone is doing well! 22. My rarest is Roguelike from Superhot VR, and I'm definitely pretty proud of it. It requires you to complete the whole game without dying, and it's definitely a challenge. Most of my rarest trophies are from Superhot VR, I'm still working towards the plat on the game so this hopefully won't be the rarest one forever. The only other game that comes close would be from The Tomorrow Children - the two that break top 5 were both just pretty grindy from memory, and they probably would only stay rare because the servers for the game shut down.
  23. Update time! This week I finished Virtue's Last Reward (VLR) from Zero Escape: The Nonary Games, locking in my 8th platinum for the event. I'm probably a bit behind where I should be in terms of being on track to finish the event, so this month I may try to knock out a few more of the shorter games on my list, considering this is the last month without a big release that I am absolutely going to play straight away (for the next couple months, anyway). But let's talk VLR, and more generally, the world of Zero Escape. Let me tell you, these games were fantastic. VLR took some time to convince me (as you may know if you read some of my previous updates) but man once you get into it, and start getting to the end and putting all the pieces together, the game still laughs in your face and throws in a few more plot twists for good measure. I'm still trying to wrap my head around it all. I won't spoil too much but definitely check it out if you're into this kind of genre, or have played Danganronpa and liked it. To be honest I felt kinda sad when I finished the game, and that doesn't always happen for me, haha. Luckily I still have Zero Time Dilemma to go, and based on how VLR ends, I think I can guess when and where it's set. I feel very fortunate that my discovery of this series was completely accidental- I initially downloaded Zero Time Dilemma a while back when it was free on PS Plus (when we still got vita and ps3 games :') ) and when I saw it was the third in a series of games, I didn't start it right away. I didn't know all too much about it and so I kind of forgot about it. In between that time I did discover and play the first two entries to the Danganronpa series. Then, it came to this event, and I needed a Z game. Of course looking through everything I had and I found Zero Time Dilemma again. This time I recognised that it had some of the same devs and looked similar to Danganronpa, so I thought, why not? I did some research, found the games I was supposed to play first, added them to the list (and thankfully, bought them while they were on sale).. and now here we are. I'm so glad to have discovered these series. Seriously though, if anyone knows anything similar to the Danganronpa or Zero Escape games, please let me know! Because once I finish both of those series, I'll be looking for something similar! This week I did also start Assassin's Creed Odyssey, and this was definitely sparked by the incoming Valhalla. Initially I'd been trying to clean up trophies on the older titles before I got stuck into Odyssey, but I'd rather finish it before Valhalla so I can jump into that one too. I've clocked about 15 hours give or take so far, and man this game is huge. It's definitely a relief to see that the 'complete all locations' trophy present in Origins did not make a reappearance. I love all the small things too, like the fact that the character doesn't wear the headgear in cut scenes, or the ability to change the appearance of your gear, so I can always look put together and awesome, instead of wearing a set of mismatched gear just because they all have the highest stats. 24. I'm back! And locking in platinum number 7 for the event with How to Train Your Dragon! If you happened to read my last update, I reserved posting my comments on this one until this update just so my post didn't get too long. Well, here we are. Cue rant: Initially, as a big fan of the series (see profile picture) I was a little ashamed I hadn't yet played this game, especially since it has been on my shelf for basically the entire lifetime of the ps4. I'm wondering now if some otherworldly force had been preventing me from starting this game just to save me from it- because now that I've played most of it... the only word that I can give is... disappointment. Despite bringing in the real voice actors from the movie and admittedly having some pretty decent dragon and character models the game is just sooooooo baaad. Not only this, but terribly inaccurate to the series. Now I get this is meant to be aimed at children... but still, it didn't have to be this bad. The game is set after the events of the first movie- as explained at the start of the game, and is centered around training up your dragon to fight other dragons in tournaments- which, first off, is basically the opposite of what HTTYD is all about. Not only this but there are some glaringly obvious mistakes- like the terrible yellow colouring of Astrid's hair in cutscenes (not to mention they were fine with putting blonde on other characters- so not sure how they messed Astrid's up so badly) or the fact that Hiccup has both his legs (he loses one at the end of the movie). The village is obviously nothing like the one in the movie either, and despite most notable characters being present, when talking to them at any time they generally have only 1 or 2 different voice lines for the whole game (with the exception of the few that give you quests). Noww..... I could try to look past all this if the gameplay wasn't also terrible. The dragon fighting involves a series of 1 on 1 fighting game like rounds, where you use combos to execute different moves. There is a series of trainings on each of these combos which would be great- if the game actually properly registered the button presses. I often had to mash the button multiple times for it to register. This meant legitimately performing any combos that included more than one different button was borderline impossible. So when it came time for real tournaments all I really ended up doing was mashing triangle and on occasion actually properly executing the triple triangle combo for stunning an opponent. There are a total of 52 rounds of training PER DRAGON, which is just insane, devolving into a mind numbing mashing of buttons until the other dragon, who generally didn't fight back, was finally k.o'd. Repeat this for 4 dragons as part of a gold trophy for getting them all to max level, and you can see how even if the training was perfect and enjoyable... that is a LOT of matches to have to do, especially when getting the dragons to max level for the trophy still involved 17 other "wild fights" and 15 minigame playthroughs. The minigames were not terrible, involving basic button mashing and memory games. After 100 arcade fights consisting of the same monotony, and one more dash through of the main story with the opposite character, I was finally done. This week I also continued playing Zero Escape, scooping up a few more trophies to push up that percentage a touch. As I mentioned last week the only thing still bugging me is the game's subtle assumption that I have played the varying story branches in a certain order... but I can look past it, as the concept (to me at least) is definitely quite adventurous and complex to actually execute perfectly. With another game complete I suppose I'll be looking at what to start next... and with Valhalla just announced and now on the horizon, that may very well be Assassin's Creed Odyssey. Until next week! 25. My stats are looking correct. I did okay this month, knocking out a couple plats, playing some old stuff instead of starting new, pushing up some completion percentages and ultimately spending a lot of time working towards trophies but not yet earning them. Among these includes Superhot VR, and man I was sore for a solid like 3 days after haha... I decided to take a several month long break from the game with only the speed runs left to do... big mistake. I pushed through a few levels but I certainly don't remember the enemy spawns like I used to. I'm going to try use this month to finally finish it.. I hope. Earning the plat would make it the rarest plat and trophy in my collection, which of course would be pretty awesome. My percentage this month probably could have been even higher too if I hadn't decided to start Divinity right on the last day lol. It was a friend's suggestion and it's gonna be a long plat but I have enjoyed it so far, particularly due to the coop. My completion's probably gonna tank over the month of may, considering I plan to start some longer games, but we'll see I guess!
