  1. One of these two, they're both charming smaller games that I had a lot of fun with. You could probably do both and still spend less time than you would on some of the larger games.
  2. Witcher 3 Blood and Wine dlc is half price, again. I was hoping for a slightly bigger discount. I'll probably end up caving and buy it regardless. Been looking at Elite Dangerous as well but I've gotta say that's a pretty anemic discount.
  3. A question about a piece of the nomenclature here on the site. Backlog, when used correctly does it refer to games that one owns but has yet to play? Does it refer to any game attached to one's profile with completion less than 100%? Or is it something else entirely?

What @DamagingRob said. It really is up to the individual, and often, individuals change their definition, depending on the context. For example, in threads about sales and whatnot, someone might say that they are "adding to the backlog", suggesting that their backlog consists of unplayed games. However, in a thread about completion percentage, that same person might refer to his/her backlog as being only those games in which s/he has earned a trophy.

How do I know this? Why - I'm one such individual. :-/

Personally when I say backlog I mean games I own but haven't started. I'm not sure what I call games on my profile that aren't 100% unfinished? Abandoned?

I usually mean games I own and have yet to finish. Finishing can either be platinum, 100% or dropping though.

  4. Wow that sounds awful. I wasn't really into the achievement system when I had a 360 but it was an okay system. Hearing about how it works on the Xbone makes me glad Microsoft screwed up that console announcement years ago and scared me away for good.
  5. Persona 5 or Witcher 3 for me but Alien Isolation also goes close. Still haven't played MGS 5, Uncharted 4 or NieR: Automata though and I hear they're pretty good.
  6. No Mitsuru Senpai though, she should always have top billing. The obvious thing missing is obviously Rivers in the Desert.😉
  7. Great, now I won't be able to stop thinking about a Persona 3 remake and how much win HD Mitsuru on her motorbike would be. 😍
  8. This is a good point. A lot of setup for this potential scenario in Mass Effect 3 was left in Mass Effect 2 if you remember Veetor, Tali, Legion and many others all reference "dark energy". The writers name is Drew Karpyshyn and last I heard he was back at Bioware in some capacity, someone will correct me if I'm wrong on that.
  9. #31. Alice: Madness Returns Overall I had a good time with this one. Once you figure out what's going on underneath thematically you realise the story is dealing with some pretty dark subject matter. The gameplay doesn't exactly reinvent the wheel, and honestly its been done better elsewhere, but I had fun with it all the same. I also liked the way Alice was designed, she really popped when contrast against the Dickensian streets of London. Some of the music was very memorable as well (I'm looking at you Main Theme).
  10. That's a coincidence, I've been working on Titan Souls as well. A lot of boss specific very rares which I didn't find too difficult but the ultra rares are a very different story. Anything to do with iron mode is a level of pressure I don't need in my leisure time.
  11. Just bought Child of Light on the PlayStation Store. With HDD space in short supply on my PS4 I was just wondering if I should download it on the PS3 instead, any drawbacks on the PS3 version aside from graphics?

Not to my knowledge, they play about the same as far as I'm able to tell. If there's any major differences I'm not aware of them.

Not sure if it's been patched since I played it, but I had to disconnect from the internet. Audio kept skipping, if I played while connected.

  12. Not when I'm only a member around 3-4 months a year on average (playing online muliplayer isn't a big deal for me). Honestly before the last few months how many times do you remember the games they were offering wow you?
  13. Its always been a month by month proposition for me anyway, simply put, I'm only a member when the PS+ games on PS3 and PS4 are compelling enough to warrant it. If I see a month with a mediocre lineup I don't renew. Seeing this news will probably force my hand and I'll end up buying a 12 month membership before the price hike. I suppose I'm safe to assume that the price hike won't result in any discernible improvement to the overall performance of the PSN?
  14. Yeah I was in the same boat, could only get 6 trophies but somehow got an okay score. The Shadow of the Colossus plat almost didn't happen yesterday due to that damn 3rd time trial.
