  1. This is exciting.

One of the few Final Fantasy games I have never actually finished.  Looking forward to getting to play through it :)

  2. #140 - Final Fantasy VII Remake.  I really enjoyed this game, and I am excited to see where they take the story from here.  If I want the exact same game as the original, I have many versions of those to go back to.

    Games I am working on:

    - Graveyard Keeper: I believe I am in what I would call "end game".  I am just trying to make tonnes of money to unlock everything and clear quests.  I had a rough start with this game because there is no push in the right direction at first, and not to mention my garden glitched without me knowing it, so I couldn't plant anything, ever.  After some research and a restart, things have gone much better.

    - Ni No Kuni Remaster: I loved the original, and picked this up on sale.  Sometimes we view the past with rose tinted glasses, and remember things being better than they actually were, but this is not one of those times for me.  I am only a few locations in, and I am still loving it.

    - Borderlands 3: This game frustrated me right from the beginning.  It is buggy, and nothing seems to ever work the way it should.  Mrs. Bee and I have most of the trophies, but our location trophies have glitched, multiple times, (she went to every location in Pandora 3 times before the trophy popped for her).  Then I learned that there is currently a glitch where if you quit, the game crashes, or you even go back to Sanctuary, it resets all location progress and you need to start your 223 locations all over again ... Given that we have both experienced a few crashes while playing, that trophy is going to suck.  ~six hours of just running around, without being able to stop, and hoping no crash comes in the middle.  I really hope they patch it soon, because we are basically done everything else.

    - Dead Cells: I am not really working on this, but @Squirlruler is currently going for the platinum, and I am not sure I want to let him get it first lol.  We will see how quickly I can get back into it, because I remember stopping when it was quite difficult (I have boss cell 2 so far)

Congrats! I should have a ton of time to play 7R this weekend, I have heard things about the ending so am curious to experience them. At the start of Ch 14, so let's see how much I can get through :D

I have wanted to play NNK, since I always see it and hear good things, guess I will have to pick this up hahaha

BL3 makes me sad... I am hoping I don't experience those issues as well :[ Hopefully you guys can get through it without too much *more* pain :[

Yessss Dead Cells... This game is so much fun. And so hard. So so hard. Lol. I need to catch up to you, I am just starting 2 cells now, so hopefully I won't die... too much... hahahaha

GL when you do get back into it! It will be a GREAT UR plat for your profile!! :D

  6. Platinum #106 - A Rose in the Twilight - Really fun, dark, and twisted puzzle platformer! The speed run trophies were daunting, but after watching how some masterful YouTubers optimized their levels, it wasn't actually so bad!

  7. So what's the deal? Is the Final Fantasy VII remake the full game or are you paying $60 on good faith? Asking for a friend.

    1. Squirlruler

      Squirlruler

Yea, that makes sense. There will probably be a "all in one" once it is all out. But remember, this is like a few hours of the first game and they expanded it to an entire game. Doing everything will get you like 40 hours of play time. And they will probably come out every other year, would be my guess.

You are paying $60 for the first chapter.

I am on ch 8 of ch 19 or so of the game, and if you loved FF7, you will probably love this. I can't wait for play the rest and play the remaining parts once they release them. They have done an incredible job so far with the game.

It looks like you have the game on your profile, you can report them and then the CRT will deal with it.

      Squirlruler

85!?!?! God Damn, gonna have to figure out what to delete...

  12. 11 +/- ? Days ...

With games shipping early, I guess there is a chance that the "-" in my daily post might actually be there for a reason lol.  Too bad I am in the "Americas" so it is less likely, but it is not impossible.  Will just wait and see :)

  13. :platinum: #30 Monster Hunter World

    Enjoyment: 10/10

    Difficulty: 5/10

Man what can I say, I absolutely adore the Monster Hunter Franchise. Having played the games starting on the PSP (Monster Hunter freedom 2 and Unite), continueing on the Wii/Wii u with Tri and Ultimate. And man what they did with World/Iceborne is amazing. All the updates that we constantly still receive, its mind blowing. Capcom is definitely one of my favourites as of the latest years and this game is a prime example of the quality that Capcom is offering.

Having completed this game on PC before I wanted to do it again on PS4... some would call me crazy with all the heavy RNG for the Crowns but I enjoyed every minute of it. Being a hammerbro as my weapon of choice is the hammer it is still as satisfying to smash faces and get those juicy stuns in. On the PC I loved bow too but I had zero luck with the decoration drop so I quit using Bow. Definitely one of the highlights of Monster Hunter is the diversity in weapons.. every weapon is viable and there is a weapon for everyone. There is no weapon that is the weapon to go to.

Another big plus is the community... yes the community! In most games the communities can be toxic but this game has the best community that I know. Everyone is friendly and teaming up with other players around the world is so easy. I really like that I play without much communication (other than using stickers) with people all across the globe.

The Trophy list is quite though and if you aren't used to grinding (or like grinding) the trophy list is hell. As someone that is used to grinding and someone that actually loves to kill the same monster over and over to get that one piece of gear that you want I did not mind at all. As a matter of a fact that is where Monster hunter shines to me.

I just had to make Monster Hunter World my #30 as a milestone. Next to the Souls(likes) games my favourite games to play. I will slowly be working on Iceborne but for now Nioh 2 will be my next game to tackle.

I highly recommend picking this game up. But be warned! The plat is long and grindy as hell with a heavy amount of RNG involved.

    1. Squirlruler

      Squirlruler

Yea, the crown RNG is BS. Other than that, it is a great game and fairly fair plat. Congrats!!

  14. [Monster Hunter] Trying this again from the start (I didn't get that far last time, only like 2 or 3 missions worth).  But not sure which weapon is suppose to be good, I tried the katana but all that did was overhead and stabbing motions, nothing like a wide arc x.x

    1. Squirlruler

      Squirlruler

There are two main combos with the Long Sword. You have the Triangle one, which is the one you mention, then, once your bar is full, you can start using R2 and that will give you another combo with a wide arc.

  15. Plat #81: Thumper

Amazing PSVR game, really wish there were more levels or DLC. Really can't get enough of this game. Rhymth, soundtrack, visuals and just the sense of accomplishment.

    Difficulty personally: 7/10.

    Enjoyment. 10/10

Congrats! A game I def need to get into...

  17. In the past two days, i have been proven that this forum has a plague of people who like to interpret whatever you say in their way, even though, you know, you say things as clear as possible already?

Anyways i would say something like i will just keep to myself and post only on my status updates but nope, i paid to be a premium member and post however i like as long as it doesn't hurt anyone or spreads hate speech, so i will continue to do that.

(PS. Someone really got offended that i said COVID-19 is giving people more free time, as if it's not an actual fact and like i'm not affected by it either, pleaaaaaaase)

  20. It’s the weekend again. Let’s try to keep this status a virus-free zone. Anyway, getting Animal Crossing later today in the mail, so will be playing that. Maybe some PlayStation, but not really in the mood for that. What about the rest of you?

Going to continue working on Dokuro. Such a fun game! I am probably about 75% the way through. Almost got the Plat for Dragon Age, and so starting to work on the DLC. Doing Awakening first, which is freakin' huge. Lol. Maybe some Iceborne as well, though no crown events so would probably just look for tempered EDs/et al for crowns and Guiding Lands for more of the same... Still missing at least 20 or so.... Mostly large :'(

  21. How is it salubrious for anyone to keep reading doomsday stuff on the internet?

Please stop reading the media crap every day and try to chill out. If we die, we die. It's highly unlikely that it will happen.

After this, globalism will be finally on its last legs. So there will be some good news out of this. Proper immigration controls, here we come.

But I now have a decision to make.  My pre-order is currently set to pick up in store, which may not be open amid the current crisis in the world.  I have the option of switching to an online order (cancel in store, and order online), as it is currently still available, but there are two potential issues with that.  They have been known in the past to send out a note to pre-order holders saying "oops, sorry but we ran out, we will refund your order", which would leave me with nothing.  The second problem is that I am not sure when it will be delivered.  Seeing as that is a holiday weekend, on top of everything else going on, it could be the following week or later that I would get it.  So I am not sure what to do.

I know to some this may seem an insensitive thing to worry about at a time like this, but lets be honest here.  We are doing the best we can to handle Covid-19 (at least I am on a personal level, bigger scale is debatable), but the rest of life still goes on.  We all still have other concerns in our life, and sometimes it is helpful to be able to worry/talk about something else, otherwise we would all just be sitting in the corner screaming and rocking back and forth all the time.

On a wholly separate note, Canada is poised to announce today that it is extending the tax filing deadline until June 1st, so anyone here who was worried about that, has a little relief in that department, so that's good.
