  1. Nope. Paid only.
  2. To put that 50 million Euro budget into perspective, the first game was made for 30 million. Good increase. Also in Remedy's last quarterly earning call the CEO quoted that "we are planning to launch at least one new game per year from 2023 through 2025". Alan Wake II is 2023, I'm thinking Max Payne remakes are 2024, Control 2 could very well be 2025.
  3. First real details on what's improved have been shared by NISA. Better quality textures, improved shadows, increased draw distance, both 4K 60fps and 1080p 120fps options, improved load times, mouse and keyboard support, and all previous costumes and cosmetics, including previously Japan exclusive costumes.
  4. My biggest problem too. Seems to me like weapons should be more durable too. A fire lash breaking after two normal cultists sucks.
  5. February's gonna be nuts.
  6. Some retailers have listed it for December 9th. Some people have asked CDPR about it this week and received the response of "soon". I think the December 9th date is probably true.
  7. I can understand wanting the security of a buyout, but all of these studios going with Meta, who has lost $700 BILLION in market cap is nonsensical to me. RIP Armature and Camoflaj.
  8. I am infuriated that the chapter trophies are not in any sensible order. Game ruined. 0/10. Jokes aside, I've really been looking forward to this one. Hopeful I can finish between release and God of War.
  9. Yakuza. It's got everything that trophy hunters hate. High difficulty, long grinds, RNG, missables, and a large number of games in the series.
  10. Yeah, I was worried before I played it, but I'm maybe half way through now and basically have the same opinion. Performance is fine 95% of the time, but there are some dips in really weird places. Not even because of rats or fires or large engagement of AI. Sometimes in cutscenes too.
  11. Maybe that big hole is important to Dana.
  12. Could be wrong, but I think that NISA is pushing them on PS5 and not necessarily Falcom. At least with the PS5 version of VIII the new localisation will be on the disc from the jump this time. I would love to see improved draw distance. That was one of my major complaints with this one. Doubt it'd ever happen, but I'd also love to see full voiceover implementation too. Let's get something on Ys X already.
  13. Ouch. I'm perfectly fine with it being 30 if it stays at 30. Low 20s is not good. No dynamic resolution changes?
  14. Siberian Mayhem was made by longtime series modders overseen by Croteam. It's basically an official fan game.
  15. They stated that it won't have any microtransactions the day they announced it.
  16. I appreciate that one of the options was "too young to have played". Anyway, I stated that I'd want a full remake of Soul Reaver because that's what I've always heard is the best one. Dunno if Crystal themselves would have the time to do it right now with them doing that new Tomb Raider and Perfect Dark, but I'd be okay with them supervising and handing off the full development to another studio.
  17. The studio who made that one is working on a new game called Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, but it's only been announced for PC and Switch so far.
  18. Feudal Japan. So anything vaguely samurai oriented is en vogue now.
  19. Is EA positioning Motive to be their next big singleplayer studio I wonder? Probably not gonna see this one until late 2024 or 25.
  20. Between this and the other announcements today, looks like they're phasing out the "Yakuza" branding and unifying to "Like A Dragon" worldwide.

  22. Well that was unexpected...
  23. I think that both were cases of the wrong project for the wrong studio. Crystal Dynamics and PlatinumGames just aren't known for GaaS titles.
  24. Japanese partners. So can we please finally find out what Pragmata actually is?
  25. Ubisoft Montreal itself has over 4000 employees, plus are backed up by at least a dozen other Ubisoft support studios. I wouldn't worry about staffing allocation.
