  1. I have been playing this game relentlessly for the last week or so, and i am now very close to Platinum. The game itself has gorgeous visuals, runs smoothly and a relatively good story line that follows the J.R.R. Tolkeins' lore with great respect. With that said, after buying this game for the first time a good while ago, and then picking it up a few years later with all the DLC, do you (the player) not find this game mediocre at best? Bar the above-mentioned pros, the list of cons is about the same size, but the impact of these cons makes the list seem "longer": - Awful Outcast side missions that are extremely repetitive for 24 Missions. - The environment stops you from doing simple tasks and you can more than likely get wedged literally "between and a rock and a hard place" - Camera angle. Just an all round mess. - The biggest problem with the game are the Captains. When you are trying to do a mission that is time sensitive etc, a Captain may appear and they have the most RIDICULOUS intros which cannot be skipped, the camera angle changes and most of the time they are just a nuisance rather than entertaining. Even more so, that if you bump into them a minute later, you STILL have to deal with the 30 seconds or so intro where they cuss you. For trophies, certain ones such as "A MIGHTY DOOM" and "STINKING REBELS" are just horrendously cumbersome, and actually take away from the enjoyment of the game (when they come about). It'll be nice to see if others feel the same way, or if i'm making a storm in a teacup. Finally, I am writing this as my enjoyment of the game has been well below what i thought it would be, so please no derogatory comments, just looking for personal opinions on the game itself. Thanks
  2. For the Trophy "Completionist All the Way!" you only need to complete the following: Wealth Mysteries Artifacts Under this Opals are not part of these criteria. These are solely for the market to buy special gear according to Powerpyx's Site: Collectibles & Completion: 100% completion includes: Wealth, Mysteries, Artifacts. Some of them can be quite tricky because the World Events don’t have any objectives and Wealth/Artifacts are well hidden. Use the guides below, they list everything region by region: Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Wealth Guide Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Mysteries Guide Assassin’s Creed Valhalla – Artifacts Guide On the world map it shows you in the bottom right corner how many you found of each type and how many are left. The way the story works is that there’s a Prologue in Norway and then you go to England. In England you will have to pledge to 16 regions to make them your friends. After playing through the story of a region, it’s best that you immediately clean up all the Wealth, Mysteries, Artifacts there before moving to the next region. This will help you level up. If you can’t reach a Collectible yet, it means you need more story progress. Some buildings (especially Castles) are only unlocked after story-related raids. While doing raids, also pick up the smaller golden wealth chests, they don’t count towards 100% completion but contain supplies for upgrading your camp. You can still return to all regions after the story, but there are some missable Completion Items that can only be found during a specific quest. We’ll go through the Missables in a moment. Feel free to work on any other trophies and tasks you see fit. One thing to look out for are the “Zealots”, there are 15 of them and they are a type of Order of the Ancients Member. You can see a white helmet icon on the map when they are within a few hundred meters of you: . If you see this icon, always scan them with from up close so they get marked in the Order Menu. If you’re underleveled you can track them from that menu later to find them again. The reason you’re supposed to look out for them is that they ride all over the map and move around. This can make it annoying to find them as they have no fixed spawn. So by looking out for them from the start you can save time later. See the below paragraph for a story choice to help with this. There have been known glitches regarding Opals not disappearing off the map when you have collected them. Hope this helps
  3. I've found that the issue is exacerbated when you do a manual exit if you get the "infinite" load screen. Had that issue trying to get onto freeroam and then exited, reloaded the game and then it crashed on my Pro as well. Damn nuisance!
  4. @A_B_Y_S_S_1 Thanks for this. Just got my copy of the game today and this was one of the parts i was dreading taking on. Can't wait to get involved with Anthem irrespective of reviews!
  5. 500 Million Edition PS4 Pro. Really happy with this look and it is easily my favourite console purchase to date.
  6. @Hocking_1988 A lot of the time it depends on the model of TV you are actually using. I myself have an LG OLED TV (Link provided below) and when i plugged my shiny new PS4 Pro into it i honestly thought i had actually been playing 4K games on it. Turns out that the TV naturally upscaled the games and i was actually just playing in a better form of 1080p. As this was my first 4K television i went online and actually found out that on tv's such as this you have to manually "unlock" each individual HDMI port. It was easy enough to do under the settings and now i can really tell the difference in quality + there is a nice little box that pops up every time saying "HDR" so that helps. If you do have to unlock the ports, then you also have to go to your PS4 settings and change them accordingly. Obviously i can only speculate as i don't know what model your TV is, but this was the method i used for mine. Hope this helps. https://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-OLED55E7N-55-Inch-Ultra-Smart/dp/B071L7WDCK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536661548&sr=8-1&keywords=lg+oled55e7n
  7. I'm glad that CDPR have finally decided to release some footage of the game of late. At 48 minutes it a meaty sample of the game that has had the fans guessing about since 2013. From what i have read from multiple outlets such as IGN / Polygon and GamesRadar is that the CEO of CDPR has in fact been super nervous about releasing game footage. As a CEO of a company doing a Triple A title that places huge pressure on the company and individuals as a huge release that has fans expectant of great things. Anyone who says otherwise is just either ignorant or doesn't understand the requirements in making a new IP and dealing with the technology and additional personnel to manage a project of this size and scale. When the Witcher 3 footage surfaced for the first time at E3 there was an overwhelming slap down on places such as Reddit over the Witcher 3 and how the fan seems to have been "robbed" of their money as they based their pre-order on the footage and the detail. Don't get me wrong, i love games, i love the fact that they help pass time, and the enjoyment that a good story brings, but christ! Sometimes the sense of entitlement that some gamers have is exhausting, and you wonder why some companies hold back on releasing info on their titles. Obviously there are exceptions to the rules, but come on! We can't really complain at the moment as it clearly states "work in progress" - as such is not representative of finalised product. This was a showcase on mainly the story, what was achievable and the potential variation that is available to the player. @PooPooBlast when you say "it's waaaayyy past pre-alpha stage as it's apparently playable from start to finish, according to CDPR." You are nearly correct (and this is not me slapping you down, just clarifying certain comments i have read about the game). CD Projekt Red explained that the game is now playable from start to finish internally. In an interview with Engadget, producer Richard Borzymowski explained that the game can be played through from beginning to end, with the story in place. It's still missing assets, includes bugs and requires playtesting, but this is a major step. This is very clear wording for fans and players alike that they are aware that there is a long way to go, but they've managed to hit a good milestone in it's development. I think us as fans just need to take a step back from the everyday hype machine and entitlement and just be thankful that we can expect potentially mind blowing games such as this. We are lucky folks.
  8. Managed to get mine when i got back home yesterday. No 02307 / 50000 on the plate. Finger prints are a big problem, but i love it. Have finally managed to put on a huge batch of games on the 2TB HDD as a "to do" over the coming few weeks until RDR2 comes out.
  9. Hello everyone! I have put my name PSN ID up here a good while ago, but thought it would be worth doing so again, as there are going to be a large batch of games coming along that will require co-op or online play etc. ID is - NefariousDreamer Going to buy / (dd.mm.yy): - Red Dead Redemption 2 / 26.10.18. - AC: Odyssey / 05.10.18. - Shadow of the Tomb Raider / 14.09.18. - Fallout 76 / 14.11.18. - Hitman 2 / 09.11.18. - Anthem / 22.02.19 - Metro: Exodus / 22.02.19. I do also have an extensive back catalogue of games as i started a new profile just over a year ago. Chances are, that if you need help on something (common), i will probably have it! If you need further proof, my old profile is McLovin2BeatU (Don't add, as i don't use it any more). I am looking to be more "completionist" on my NefariousDreamer profile so anyone who can help that progress is more than welcome to add me. Just please make sure you say "PSN Profiles" when you add. Thanks See you on the digital playground!
  10. Was lucky enough to be able to pre-order one on Wednesday. Got it at my local Game store and there are so few, they only had 13 in stock. I'm just chuffed that it comes with the Playstation Eye etc as i have been thinking it may be about time to have a crack at PSVR. Seen some of them being put on eBay already and they are going for £1,300!! i can't imagine the price if someone has the following serial No's: 1) 09995 / 50000 (launch date of original PlayStation) 2) 01115 / 50000 (launch date of PS4) 3) 01013 / 50000 (launch date of PS VR) The 2tb hard drive was a massive draw for me. Got an extra controller as well just to complete the set. BRING ON THOSE RPG's! In the mean time... is anyone in the UK up for a second hand PS4 Pro? haha
  11. The latest Thief game. I managed to plat it eventually after around 90 hours. The grind to go back and get all the treasures and then spend a certain amount in a store, followed by a points run (customising difficulty up to a certain number of points) was just a complete ball ache. Still though, once it was done - I WAS DONE! never again. (He says, even though it is on his XMB on his "To Do"list for my current profile) https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/2454-thief
  12. I have had the exact same issues with my PS4 and going into HDR. It really freaked me out and was wondering whether my glorious TV was giving me a kick in the nuts. Turns out, after taking out my HDMi cable that the end completely disintegrated! got a brand new one, and it rarely ever happens. I have also been reading that it is more common in LG OLED tv's, and their compaitibility with the PS4 pro. whatever the case, rest assured that it is not the TV
  13. Colin Moriarty and Greg Miller were part of the original crew on IGN. Greg Miller left IGN around 2 years ago and has his own YouTube channel called "Kinda Funny" reviewing and discussing a lot of PlayStation games. @dude_zavala i think that your goal to surpass them is an enjoyable goal, but in terms of "bragging rights" it's more of a meh moment. Colin and Greg solely review and play games for work, or for the pure enjoyment of it, and are not what what i think the majority of people on this site would classify as trophy hunters. In stating this, i am inclined to agree with @DrBloodmoney @LuciaRosethorn that each individual enjoys their own methods as to how they wish to complete their games, whether it be because they love it, because they wish to get the "ping" noise after achieving platinum, or because having a high completion rate is satisfying to them as they may have got bang for their buck, platting them as a bonus, or for some other reason. Me, i prefer to trophy hunt - but not to compete with anyone. I do it because i feel like i have done all i need to do after completing the game. and also, being able to compare people's profiles on here helps me to add them to my friend list so i can complete pesky online trophies that would otherwise be a chore. My most recent one was Platting God of War. This was actually one of the few games whereby i could complete the game with a high level of enjoyment and getting platinum was just a natural progression and not a grind. To date, i would classify it as my most satisfying game on the PS4. In any case, it's nice to have goals on what it is you personally would like to achieve, but in the end, what matters more is yourself and how you wish to enjoy playing your games. 👍
  14. God of War. Most satisfying plat i've done. Love it!
  15. Hi guys! Thought i would start up a thread for us to enjoy regarding the usual busy March / April period for PlayStation fans. Last year was a doozy with the likes of Horizon: Zero Dawn gracing our game libraries, but this year it seems as though we are pretty much spoilt for choice with the following games coming out over the next 4-5 weeks: Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom - 23rd Mach Far Cry 5 - March 27th God Of War - 20th April First off, I want to explain what it is you get with these games including the DLC etc and then we can all let loose and discuss which ones we the people want to get and what it is we are most excited for. Your hopes / expectations for these games, the trophy lists (as they haven't been released on PSN Profiles yet) and whether anyone has some massive worries etc about any potential grinds that we as the players are going to have to endure to get that glorious little "ping" after completion. I am a huge gaming fan and i for one am super excited with these potential high quality AAA games that are going to be gracing our (4K) screens. Additionally, I will also be looking at uploading review links (from outside sources). The first game that is going to be coming out is Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom (Friday 23rd March) - The game itself is a separate story to that told in 2012's critically acclaimed Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch. It is scheduled to have 2 DLC packages in due course, and from playing on the previous title, this game is going to be quite hefty to complete. The artwork (Studio Ghibli) and general style of this fantastic JRPG has always been a big selling point and i for one think that this will be a great purchase to people who want to play casually or go at it like a beast for 100 or so hours. Trophy List: (Credit PowerPyx) http://www.powerpyx.com/ni-no-kuni-2-revenant-kingdom-trophy-list-revealed/ The second game is Far Cry 5 (Tuesday 27th March), this will come with 3 story DLC packs 1) Hours of Darkness 2) Dead Living Zombies and 3) Lost on Mars. These sound great and it could be a little bit of an homage to the mad Far Cry: Blood Dragon. Knowing the guys at Ubisoft, it seems like they have chosen a great theme to deal with - Cults in the deep south. The real kicker though in terms of Ubisoft trying to sell the season pass to us is that if you get it, you will also receive the completely remastered edition of Far Cry 3 when that is released in about 2-3 months time. In terms of a deal for a gamer, Ubisoft have done well to include one of their best games for us to enjoy another 45-60 hours on. Trophy List: (Credit PowerPyx) http://www.powerpyx.com/far-cry-5-trophy-list-revealed/ Finally, there is the angriest man on the planet making his comeback to PlayStation. You all know who i mean - Kratos in God of War (Friday 20th April). As things stand, there has been no mention as to whether this game will get any DLC in the future, but irrespective of that, this new game looks as though it's going to give Kratos the refresh that it has needed since the last installment. The theme here is now using Norse mythology so, for me this is a big thumbs up to the developers for moving away from the Greek Mythology we have all been accustomed to over the years. Rumours also have it that if this game is successful then are looking at doing a different theme on each instalment.... Trophy List: (Currently Unavailable) Thanks for taking the time to have a look at this thread and i look forward to reading / responding to your comments.

  18. *Update. After having all these issues on the game, i have recently discovered that if you turn off your internet connection to the PS4 then the game runs a hell of a lot better. The game does crash still, but nowhere near what it has done for me in the past. I had a look on Google for issues like this as well and apparently it is down to the games' statistics etc being uploaded to the Ubisoft servers. If anyone else has been having this problem - i hope it helps!
  19. My game has completely crashed on me multiple times. It says that the game is corrupt, so i re-installed the game (twice) on my PS4-Pro and my current issues revolve around playing for either 5-10 minutes and then i get the game crash, or i get a solid 2-3 hours out of it and then BOOM i get the same issue. It really frustrates me because as i am just about to get into the game and get tunnel vision trying to plat it my progress is suddenly stopped short! Always been a huge fan of FC games, but it does get to the point where they seemingly getting quite lazy at avoiding these problems from the get go.
  20. @Dav9834 they did and they didn't. They have changed their business model, and don't have their name directly associated with the game, but they did have staffers doing the character design. Article from Kotaku below: https://kotaku.com/why-studio-ghibli-isnt-involved-with-ni-no-kuni-ii-1818613463
  21. @madbuk I haven't included Yakuza 6 for the sole reason of me never having played it. Whether it's through ignorance or not i'm not sure. @FeralGood shout on Detroit: Being Human and Vampyr. Games look interesting. Hope they live up to the hype. @Darkconda What are your thoughts on the remastered version of FC3 being included on the Season Pass? As the embargo is now up for reviews. Here is one from IGN and Games Radar regarding Ni No Kuni II: http://uk.ign.com/articles/2018/03/19/ni-no-kuni-2-revenant-kingdom-review https://www.gamesradar.com/ni-no-kuni-2-review/
  22. Hi all. The title is pretty much self-explanatory, but i am doing this with the aim of maximising the number of Platinum Trophies in my collection and i have SO MANY games that i need to get through in order to start playing newer games. As such i would like to you guys to help me out and see what games are good ones to plough through (whether it be through preference, enjoyment, ease of completing etc) so that i can ditch the vast back-catalogue of games that i currently have. As a background, the majority of these games were based on my previous online ID of McLovin2BeatU, i had amassed the large number of games over the years and i never really got on with them (i.e. Platinum). However, i started a new profile (NefariousDreamer) and am looking to be more "completionist". As always, the help you guys can give would be greatly appreciated (preferably a list of about 5-10 games), and i would also love to know if you guys suffer from the same problems that i have in having too many games to play. Current intention is to do the following: 1) *Rime - Got platinum 2) The Walking Dead 3) *The Order: 1886 - Got platinum 4) Wolfenstein: New Order 5) Infamous: SS 6) Infamous: FL 7) Horizon: ZD 8) Dishonored: DOTO 9) Uncharted 10) Uncharted 2 * = Updated My game list is as follows: - Assassin's Creed: Black Flag - Assassin's Creed: Ezio Collection - Batman: Arkham Knight - Bloodborne - Borderlands 2 - COD: Advanced Warfare - COD: Ghosts - Crash Bandicoot Trilogy - Dark Souls II - Dark Souls III - Destiny - Deus Ex: Mankind Divided - Diablo III - Dishonored: Definitive Edition - Dishonored II - Dishonored: Death of the Outsider - Dragon Age: Inquisition - Driveclub - Dying Light - Ether One - Evolve - Fallout 4 - Final Fantasy XHD - Final Fantasy X-2 HD - Final Fantasy XV - Goat Simulator - GTA V - Gravity Rush - Gravity Rush 2 - Guacamelee! 23. It's so great being able to come to a thread like this. I bought Wolfenstein II on release date but haven't had the chance to play it yet. I love myself a great difficulty trophy. I didn't know about the "Mein Leben" trophy until i was playing with my backlog of games. Seriously guys, Kudos on making this one of the most helpful threads on the internet for this trophy. I hope that when i start this over the festive period i will be able to do you folks justice and get the most satisfying ping for Wolfenstein II Plat courtesy of your help. Keep up the great work guys!
  24. Looking to have some keen gamers on here who will be able to help out on MP trophies. PSN ID: NefariousDreamer The profile itself may be relatively new (started a new profile), but i have been PS subscriber / player since PS1. Please state from PSN Profiles as well if you send a FR. Thanks! and happy gaming
  25. @Van-Helsings Fair play buddy. You have some serious discipline! Mind if i add you for when you do venture into the realm of the "4"? Hopefully i would be able to help you out with some achievements, as and when you need it.
