  1. Without a doubt, The Pits (Warp Room 1, Level 4) was the hardest. I had a huge issue with timing the dash jumps correctly to get over the holes. I remember in the original PSX game, you could hop on the sides and hop over, but they took that capability out in this one. I ended up getting it based on sheer luck and about 4 hours of trying.
  2. I'm going to miss those catastrophic rocket cars. They were hilarious when someone was being an ass with the car
  3. Whelp, that's it.  Now all three of my Sound Shapes stacks are at least 77%.  No autopop.

    Best 10 bucks I ever spent <3

  4. [#58] Minecraft (PS4)

This was nice and enjoyable.  Some of the things were a bit difficult here and there, but overall I really enjoyed the experience. <3

Thanks to @OverlordOfRacing for helping me with a bunch of these trophies :D

  6. Woo~ finally wrote up an About Me.  Figured I been here three years, so why not?  It's not much, but it's a start! :D

      Amazing "About Me" section. :)

I didn't know you were a programmer. That's one career I'd love to learn if I had a second chance, or rather, the time to learn it, since I've always been very passionate about computers from a Software level point of view.

Also, Banjo-Kazooie, one of Rare's many masterpieces and a game that I cherish very much to this day as well. I can't say I've seen a proper 3D platform adventure game since that one came out in the N64. Surprisingly, I haven't completely played any of the sequels.

And major respect for that Pikachu & Eevee tattoo. ;)

  7. Went to bed early, had nightmares about an ex nearly all night, woke up two hours before work and used vacation time to take the day off.

Haha I'd say it's more like my brain was dreaming of it because it was simply something that I experienced for a whole day.

      Time for a short story:

In psychology, the current theory of dreaming is that there's a part of your brain that fires random signals (called the pons) when in REM (rapid eye movement) sleep. It's essentially an info dump mostly of all the things you experienced that day. The theory is that your brain actually purges random useless thoughts and keeps important ones for memory consolidation and essentially learning, especially procedural memory (motor skills) like playing the piano or in this case, conquering this game? :o

Anyway, because there are random signals and because your prefrontal cortex is almost suppressed (your logical/decision maker area), you sort of just go with the flow and don't really question absurd things.  The visual part of the dream comes from signals reaching your occipital lobe (your visual cortex) and likewise, the auditory part comes from signals reaching your temporal lobe.

Anyway, point I was trying to make is that your ex appearing could just be one of the random signals that reached your brain that day, lmao?

I dream of a certain someone like that as well from time to time so it's nothing extraordinary. It happens man! Don't let it bog down on you. It's also weird in that initially, it was pretty tough seeing her in my dreams. Eventually, my brain just got used to her being there and sort of pushed her presence into the sidelines.

The brain works in mysterious ways I tell you..

That's some insanely fascinating theory on brain and dream mechanics.

It honestly makes a lot of sense.  I did actually think of my ex earlier in the previous day as I was considering relocating to another town (my ex lives here with her rich boyfriend/fiancee/husband/whatever).  Funny thing is she wasn't the only one I thought of.

A friend of mine who's moving away to Michigan to be with a girl he'd been trying to get with for years after a string of unsuccessful relationships.  I'm happy for him, sad he's leaving and honestly a bit worried he's doing this because he feels he has no other options.

Anyway, as I thought of that and hung out with him, a second friend of mine was there and we were talking about another ex I had who would have made the perfect inspiration for Bad Girlfriend by Theory of a Deadman.  I was considering unblocking her just to see how she was doing, and that got me wondering if I still had any feelings left for her which would complicate talking to her again by a lot.

After sampling a few songs I know that seem to, for lack of a better word, resonate with those kinds of thoughts, I determined that what I feel for her is minimal, and the ex that the nightmare was about was the most profound reaction.  In fact, in said nightmare, she was the one of prominence.  I don't think any other exes even made an appearance.

All in all, probably a bad idea to talk to her (non dream ex) anyway, because she's about seventeen different kinds of crazy.  She did tell me once a long time ago I made her into a good person somehow.  So she might be the type of cheater that needs one person for the safety feeling and another/more for excitement.  Which, honestly, laying it out like that is kinda okay to me as long as it's something ya'll both agree to.

Ya know, I feel a lot better writing that one out, poopy.  I figured since you gave me an in depth analysis, you deserved one too ;)

    4. PooPooBlast

      Don't mention it!

I was also curious because that kind of stuff hits everybody regardless of your status and how much money you have. It's nice to chat with someone who experienced something similar in order to learn a few thing here and there and how they dealt with the situation.

Relationships are one thing you can't study for or learn about unless you experience them yourself which I have little to almost none of

Anyway, most important thing is to have a positive outlook on this. For better or worse, you're not with that person anymore. That's what the universe has decided so we shall keep going froopy.

  8. I love it when random stuff happens in GTA V:

The horn was a happy accident as I didn't think the left player NPC would still be there xD

  9. Hello there! I'd figure since I recently got the platinum in this game and had a bit of trouble with this trophy myself I'd post a tip that helped me get the Enormous Katamari trophy. This trophy requires you to get a 2 million km size katamari, which can only be done in the Wake Up The King! level. You'll need Katamari Forever, Drive, Classic and Eternal unlocked and finished on any level that has these modes. You'll also need to complete the three co-op levels, which each have a Forever, Drive and Classic as well. This will add nine more planets to the end level (Peanut, Cherry and Glove planets). You're probably better off using the two controllers yourself. Some people (me included) opted to just control each controller with one hand. It's a little tricky, but you can control the katamari without too much difficulty. Another suggestion I saw was to tape both sticks up and r2/l2 down on the second controller, but I didn't try this myself but thought it might help to mention. When you get up to space level, you need to start out collecting regular stars, comets and space ships before tackling anything larger. Once you get to a certain size, these things will vanish. This will also help you get the collector trophy as you'll have a better chance of rolling up all the planets, including ones you have created through the story (co-op planets do not count toward the collector trophy). Be sure to jump on top of the sleeping king as he has about 15 or so stars sitting on top of him. You can get to these after one or two sizeups in space. Be sure to do this before you can roll up the king as once you get to a certain size, they will vanish. Using this method in combination with completing the nine (possibly twelve, I'm not sure if the co-op levels have Eternal or not) possible co-op planets, this should let you hit around 2,005,000 km. Good luck!
  10. [#57] Katamari Forever

Once you get the cowbear, the rest really kinda falls into place.  Also, the co-op planets do make a huge difference.  There's actually nine of them (maybe twelve).  If you play Forever/Drive enough on them, it should unlock classic mode, which means nine planets from the three stages.

This game was just amazing.  I remember my friend who introduced me to Okami had it and I thought it was just super fun to roll stuff up.  It's got a great soundtrack, too.  For the hours you're gonna spend in this game, it's great to have a large variety of stuff to listen to.

Thanks to @MMDE for motivating me to get the plat so bad because they said it's pretty easy ;)

This Katamari series of games have always looked pretty interesting and unique to me. Can't say I've ever seen anything like it. I hope I can get the chance to own and play this title at some point in the future. :)

@Honor_Hand I hope you get the chance to play this one day as well!  I'd totally let you borrow my copy somehow :D

  11. I have the Collector trophy in Katamari Forever now.  But in that same level, I was 8 km under the 2 million km trophy.  I think I'm gonna try completing all the co-op levels and hopefully that should be enough to push me over for the plat.

Proudest plat ever once I get it <3

@IntroPhenom I was thinking that too.  Honestly the two are gonna be super close to each other.  Although the feeling from conquering the cowbear may not measure up to the feeling of the 1000th jason play lol.

      Froopy the Cowbear

@Alderriz I think so.  My roomie has Katamari Damacy from Steam and it also has the cowbear level.

@MidnightDragon To get the collector trophy, this was most assuredly an item I needed.  Being that it only appears in a level that stops when you roll up anything vaguely cow or bear related and it's 7m 77cm 7mm and you start out at 1m 50cm, it becomes a real pain in the ass to get.  To roll up the cowbear, you need to get up to it's size, then dash the katamari to knock the cowbear out and roll it up, all without hitting anything else cow/bear related.

There was a list @MMDE wrote in a Katamari Forever topic once that had three of the things they considered the hardest in KF and the cowbear was the last thing I needed on that list.  It's all downhill from there :)

    3. MMDE

@Froopy the Temmie Yeah, cowbear is by far the hardest thing. Getting a high enough score in the punishment mini game isn't overly difficult as it is a bit luck driven and annoying due to how long time it takes to trigger each attempt. The devil in hot and cold is pretty easy in comparison IMO. Everything else is more a matter of time and figuring out where the few items you miss are. Especially the bigger levels can have certain unique things at certain size stages of a level. Most of the tricky ones to find you should be able to google.

    4. Froopy the Cowbear

      Froopy the Cowbear

@MMDE I would super agree that the devil wasn't nearly as bad as the cowbear was.  It only took me about 15 tries or so.  The hardest part was not landing in the stream by accident when I was big enough to roll him up.  The punishment minigame was more luck than anything and I eventually ended up getting it.

I think I'm missing about 50 random items, some of them definitely in Wake Up The King.  I'm pretty sure one of them is that special doghouse you can only get at a specific size.  It'll be nice just to putter around in Eternal mode for the rest of the way out at any rate :D

Yeah... there'll still be strife in space

    3. Honor_Hand

I've been there too. Either that or interdimensional travel, going back in time to fix stuff, or, my personal favorite, a button that resets humankind from existence and forces us to start anew.

But yeah, here's hoping more peaceful times to come soon.

We're all needing those at this point...

    4. Froopy the Cowbear

      Froopy the Cowbear

@Cleggworth But a lot more room to get away.

@Honor_Hand Indeed.  It just seems to have gotten worse and worse since 2016.  Perhaps we'll be able to look back on this time and cringe and be thankful it's behind us <3

  14. Once upon a time, long long ago I used to revel in helping people.  I even called myself a 'peacekeeper'.  Fast forward 10 years later, my ability to help is still there, but my stamina has depleted severely along with needing help myself.

For those I couldn't help adequately, I sincerely apologize.  I've been neglecting myself far too long and it's showing in unfortunate and unpredictable ways.  That's not your fault.  It's mine.

I wish it hadn't ended up this way, but such as life.

  15. My best friend's ex wife tried to stab him the other day in a drunken rage.  The next day, her apology is a half hearted "I'm so sorry" and then segued into how it was all his fault.

I'm fairly certain in certain cultures, assault with a deadly weapon is a bit more than just a simple faux pas.

He's out and safe though and finally standing up for himself.  He's not giving into her bullshit anymore and I couldn't be prouder of my bro. <3

She's the exact reason I tell people that not owning up to your faults (hugging the cactus) and being a selfish self serving jackass will lead down a dangerous and lonely road.

Not the kind of person anyone would ever like to deal with, and she still has the nerve of coming with a fake apology like that. I'm glad your friend is okay.

So now I'm finally at the battle arena with my monsters at level 90+ on the first playthrough.  Now I need to evolve them to bring them back down because I wanna get all the battle trophies on the first playthrough.

I've only played the PS3 version myself, so I cannot comment on the PS4 version. I haven't played the sequel either, which I've read some people had some issues with.

    3. IntroPhenom

Honestly, I didn't notice a single visual or mechanical difference between the PS3 and PS4 versions.  However, with the PS4 version, you'll start (well, after a little while into the game) with some previously pre-order exclusive Familiars (creatures), and they're helpful, especially if you play on the harder difficulty.  One of them can carry your team through half the game.

    4. Froopy the Cowbear

      Froopy the Cowbear

Hmmm, very yes.  I think I'm going to grab the PS3 version first.  It might be cheaper and honestly the PS3 needs some more love.  I may or may not be looking for more excuses to put off Katamari Forever.

  18. I second the character witness. He's been a friend since he helped me with Playstation All Stars Battle Royale and that took an enormous amount of patience. I don't think he'd cheat a trophy at all.
  19. Kinda, yes. I got the trophy because I had like 5 PS4 controllers, which when the game first came out, you had to have four to be able to get it. A new update lowered it to 3. Why I'm proud of it is because I annoyed my best friend because I popped it in two hours
  20. Whelp, my roomie got a new PS4, so I moved my setup to my room.  Looks great and now I can finally finish up some online trophies :D

I just need to get some blacklights and I'm good to go :)

  22. Just finished extracting the music from Katamari Forever and properly tagging the songs.  To my pleasant surprise, only a few songs were repeats from Damacy.

Started out with 49.  Tossed out 9, two of which were the ones from Damacy or were under a minute or close to it long.

I ended up getting some songs that weren't on the soundtrack, which is nice.  The odd thing about what was left out was that while it was some of the screens (Music, Collection, Photo Collection, Mini-Games, etc), but they included the music for other menu screens.  And for some dumbass reason they thought the punishment minigame 'music' should have been included.

    All in all, yay.

  23. Started up Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.  I forgot how much I loved this game when I dabbled with it on the Wii.  So far, Marta and Tenebrae (Tenebie/Doggy) are my favorite characters.

  24. Whelp, since I seen Tales of Symphonia mentioned a few times, I remembered my fond times of playing Dawn of a New World on the Wii and decided to look into it on the store.

They have Symphonia and Symphonia Dawn of a New World as a bundle for 19.99, so I got it and the Castlevania collection.

Best of luck with the Platinum. I played Symphonia on the Gamecube, one of my favorite games there. I went through it a second time on the PS3 too, but I haven't had the mental fortitude has to tackle those multiple playthroughs required for the Platinum. Some day I will get to do that, probably. xP

Dawn of the New World has sort of a bad reputation among the fanbase, but I haven't played that one myself, so I cannot speak there.

    4. Froopy the Cowbear

      Froopy the Cowbear

I've heard some smatterings of things against it myself.  Then again, there were a good number of people bitching about how Spyro and Crash Bandicoot were just the same game with a new coat of paint, so I'm hoping the fanbase might have another reason.  Sometimes they can be a rather tricky bunch to deal with.

At any rate, one game itself was 19.99, so if Dawn of a New World ends up being a bust, I won't have lost out ;) Couldn't be as bad as Adventure of Mana was on the Vita lol.
