  1. Another holdover falls... plus knocked off a number with a non-backlog game. 0 - Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 4 Part I (280) - 65% -> 100% 1 - Dragon's Age: Inquisition (PS4) - 34% 2 - Assassin's Creed Chronicles India (4202) - 61% -> 100% 3 - ??? 4 - Sonic Adventure - 40% 5 - Amazing Spider-Man (PS3) - 5% 6 - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS4) - 8% 7 - Tales of Zestiria (PS4) - 15% 8 - Zone of the Enders - 7% 9 - Just Cause 3 - 7% (Truberbrook (8959) - 0% -> 100%) Honorable Mention - Amnesia: Collection - 97% AC Chronicles India has also been sitting on my backlog too long. Last Spring I started it back up but stopped before committing to the Plus Hard Not Seen playthru and then it just rotted for a while. Two non-plats though really don't move the needle on unearned trophies or completion percentage. Should move on to one of the bigger games... Current Status: Unearned Trophies: 269 Completion Percentage: 98.54% Games Not 100%: 8
  2. Knocked off a couple more: 13/29. Still chugging along. Definitely mixing this list with my backlog and other games I want to play, but still aim to finish the list by the end of the year. A - The Adventures of Tintin (Movies)B - Batman: Arkham Asylum (Batman) C - The Council (Choice & Consequence) -> CompleteD - Detroit: Become Human (Choice & Consequence) -> CompleteE - Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood (Artifex Mundi)F - Forma.8 (Metroidvania) -> CompleteG - G-Force (Movies)H - Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (Hitman)I - Iron Man 2 (Marvel) -> CompleteJ - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle (Shonen Jump)K - Kingmaker: Rise of the Throne (Artifex Mundi)L - LEGO Legends of Chima (LEGO) -> CompleteM - Marvel's Spider-Man (Spider-Man)N - Noir Chronicles: City of Crime (Artifex Mundi) - > CompleteO -- First Swap -- Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (Ratchet & Clank) - CompleteP - Prince of Persia (Prince of Persia)Q - Queen's Quest 3: The End of Dawn (Artifex Mundi) -> CompleteR - Ratchet & Clank PS4 (Ratchet & Clank)S - Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (Metroidvania)T - The Walking Dead: The Final Season (Choice & Consequence) U - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (Uncharted) -> CompleteV -- Second Swap -- Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (Batman) V+ - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (LEGO)W - Where the Wild Things Are (Movies) -> CompleteX - X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Marvel)Y -- Third Swap -- Timespinner (Metroidvania) -> Complete Y+ - Spider-Man: Edge of Time (Spider-Man) Z -- Fourth Swap -- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (Price of Persia) -> Complete Z+ - Steins; Gate 0 PS4 (Science Adventure) -> Complete Project Platinums represented and progress below. 3. Got my first one off my backlog!!!! 0 - Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 4 Part I (280) - 65% -> 100% 1 - Dragon's Age: Inquisition (PS4) - 34% 2 - Assassin's Creed Chronicles India - 61% 3 - ??? 4 - Sonic Adventure - 40% 5 - Amazing Spider-Man (PS3) - 5% 6 - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS4) - 8% 7 - Tales of Zestiria (PS4) - 15% 8 - Zone of the Enders - 7% 9 - Just Cause 3 - 7% Honorable Mention - Amnesia: Collection - 97% I was actually very concerned about that one. The Untouchable trophy seemed too difficult, particularly playing it thru PSNOW. Got my first completion of Time Attack on the final boss and then less 10 tries later, boom! Untouchable! So happy! Might be the smallest contributor to cutting down my backlog, but it was probably the one to haunt me the most. Current Status: Unearned Trophies: 276 Completion Percentage: 98.50% Games Not 100%: 9
  4. I fully understand that the final list will be the first completion for each number. I just wanted to add tracking to my goals of using this event as an opportunity to bring down my unearned trophies, thus increasing my completion percentage. Setting lofty goals to see how motivated I can be for the next 2.5 months. This list will be just for my purposes, although I hope at least a couple end up being on the final event list. I will track that too as completions occur. Start of Event: Unearned Trophies: 278 Completion Percentage: 98.48% Games Not 100%: 10 0 - Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 4 Part I - 65% 1 - Dragon's Age: Inquisition (PS4) - 34% 2 - Assassin's Creed Chronicles India - 61% 3 - ??? 4 - Sonic Adventure - 40% 5 - Amazing Spider-Man (PS3) - 5% 6 - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS4) - 8% 7 - Tales of Zestiria (PS4) - 15% 8 - Zone of the Enders - 7% 9 - Just Cause 3 - 7% Honorable Mention - Amnesia: Collection - 97% End Goals: Unearned Trophies: 100 Completion Percentage: 99.5% Games not 100% - 3
  5. Detroit: Become Human - PS4 (#425) "Detroit Master" I love me a good adventure game. I will start this spoiler free and then dive a bit more deeply. Having recently played thru (and then grinding out the platinum) Beyond Two Souls, I was a bit hesitant. Moreso than any other recent Quantic Dream game, this one allowed you easily identify and visualize the effect of your decisions. The branching paths of the flowchart are actually mapped out for you to review and see how a different response may have cause a completely different set of events to occur. The intricate nature of this narrative adventure is simply impressive. Writing this game out and properly ensuring all of the moving pieces in the game was in the right place is a feat, which seems like the graduation of the developers after they accomplished something similar to a smaller scale with Heavy Rain. Following multiple characters whose stories are inexorably tied together by the main focus of the narrative, this game really shows what a strong focus and realized vision could be. Beyond Two Souls only had 1 character's story being told in flash backs and forwards, creating intricacy simply by needing to place the story beats in a meaningful order. despite not being sequential. Visually, this game is also impressive. The character models, motions, the worlds they inhabit are amazing. Future Detriot is beautifully realized and even the dark, dreary moments are also stunning. The world building by juxtaposing the shiny modern world with the decaying underworld is also key to tell the story that is here. I just loved it. The voice and motion capture actors are excellent. All three leads were convincing in their various states of android-ness, while still showing humanity. Connor is surprisingly deep and captivating and was my favorite playable character, probably due to some underlying humor in his mechanics. Hank was my favorite character in the game overall by far. His tirade at the FBI agent, if prompted, made me crack up so hard. The sound design and score were also excellent. The set pieces and characters are musically themed well and this helped differentiate your time with each character and their settings. It is clear a very significant amount of time was spent building each character out to each potential sense that a game can make you feel. The extras are pretty cool. Having really enjoyed the game, I dug into the Videos showing the behind the scenes of some of the creative bits including interviews with several of the actors. Its really cool that these were included with the game. Even the platinum felt less grindy than other Quantic Dream games, even though this game was probably the longest. Some sections required replay, but the story was different so it didn't feel as stale as Beyond Two Souls did. (I swear, if I had to go thru that final chapter of Beyond Two Souls one more time...) That is not to say this game is flawless. Despite my praise for the storytelling achievement due to the complexity of the story, this is probably also where I felt left wanting. Some of the story beats felt discordant or maybe just taking a step too far logically based on each character's development. Maybe this was affected in my gameplay by having one of the characters die early on in my first playthru, so the story shifted between two narratives for the significant chunk, likely cutting out some fleshing out that may have helped make character actions or story developments easier to believe. I feel that it may have also been an attempt to remove forced exposition and have the player piece more of this story on their own than is usual. Overall, I have to say this story falls short of the gripping narrative in Heavy Rain, but certainly outshines Beyond Two Souls. It is clear the writers were inspired by history to tell this story and this comes with some baggage. I appreciated the story the game allowed the player to experience and understand that it can be challenging or conflicting for some people. Speaking strictly for myself, I enjoy art that provides a challenge, that makes you stop and think or even just allows you analyze the story beyond its surface. This game does not allow for anything different. I have a hard time believing this game could be played without arriving at the commentary and imagery. Not every one plays games for the same reasons, so by this function, this game is definitely not for everyone. Despite this, I do recommend it.
  6. I'm in. I doubt any list I can muster up will actually be the final one as I will inevitably complete other games before the list, overriding the final list. No problem there though. Still fun to plan and attempt to meet a goal. Looking at my Not 100% list, it lines up almost perfectly. 10 games, 9 unique numbers. Maybe this event will help close the gap to 100% completion. 0 - Sonic the Hedgehog Episode 4 Part I 1 - Dragon's Age: Inquisition (PS4) 2 - Assassin's Creed Chronicles India 3 - ??? 4 - Sonic Adventure 5 - Amazing Spider-Man (PS3) 6 - Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 (PS4) 7 - Tales of Zestiria (PS4) 8 - Zone of the Enders 9 - Just Cause 3 Only game left out I already have the plat for, just missing the last trophy: Amnesia Collection.
  7. Nearing the halfway point. Have done a bit more damage, now up to 11/29. Gaining a bit of steam. 8. Hidden Agenda - PS4 (#408) "Platinum" Supermassive has been tweaking their formula and trying gimmicks to change the experience. Until Dawn was a straight forward decision based adventure game. This game add the opportunity to play with 1-5 other people in either Story or Competitive mode. Playing with other people adds the challenge of compelling your friends to choose the route you want to go down. Also, honestly, it is not super easy to figure out the correct path to even reach a full ending. The competitive mode is pretty sweet as well. You are given an agenda to attempt to fulfill, likely at odds with your friends. By completing QTEs or hidden object scenes you can power up with decision override cards to force everyone to allow you to make the decision. Points are assigned based on succeeding at meeting your agenda or just guessing who may be attempting to fulfill an agenda. It really is a clever party game and a lot of fun to play with friends. It also also obvious how they evolved from here to the Man of Medan mechanic of having your friend be remote to allow for even less control over the events and have them be more surprising. It is also quite short, so that it is easier to replay and to convince non-gamers to give it a try. A full competitive play thru clocks in at around 2 hours. Technically speaking, this is the weakest effort from Supermassive Games in this genre that I have experienced. There are a number of scenes that have a lot of chop to them and one in particular where the lip syncing felt completely off. For a game that prides itself on character models and simulating a real thriller, this was disheartening and bit jarring. Until Dawn was spot on with the animation and it helped keep the atmosphere of the game intact. Also, bonus points if you can identify the motion capture actors or models they reused from this game and dropped into Man of Medan. Definitely recommend as a party game and to adventure game fans. Also, if the other entries from Supermassive Games look too much like horror games, give this one a try, it is definitely more of a thriller than a scary story.
  9. Check out Tesla vs Lovecraft. Twin stick bullet hell lite.
  10. Tried the demo. It was really neat. You can snap turn with buttons or turn with your head. It feels nearly 360 in how it works. The moment I turned on the repulsers and lifted off was awesome. They really do a good job of simulating the feeling of levitating and gaining momentum. The mission included some combat which was pretty robust. I feared it was going to be a shooting gallery, but you can more freely and actually should be moving while shooting. I hope the game allows for weapon evolution, like lock on missles or flares to redirect fire. The skills demo was tough with punching, shooting and flying thru a course. I bet there will be trophies for beating developer times. Honestly, I am looking forward to this one most out of the Summer PS exclusive line up. It is shaping up to be a solid, unique experience.
  11. Not much motion on completion. I'm moving in the right direction though. After milestone plat #400, I should be crossing more off this list. Up to 7 A - The Adventures of Tintin (Movies)B - Batman: Arkham Asylum (Batman) C - The Council (Choice & Consequence) -> CompleteD - Detroit: Become Human (Choice & Consequence)E - Enigmatis 2: The Mists of Ravenwood (Artifex Mundi)F - Forma.8 (Metroidvania)G - G-Force (Movies)H - Hitman 2: Silent Assassin (Hitman)I - Iron Man 2 (Marvel) -> CompleteJ - Jojo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle (Shonen Jump)K - Kingmaker: Rise of the Throne (Artifex Mundi)L - LEGO Legends of Chima (LEGO)M - Marvel's Spider-Man (Spider-Man)N - Noir Chronicles: City of Crime (Artifex Mundi) - > CompleteO -- First Swap -- Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault (Ratchet & Clank)P - Prince of Persia (Prince of Persia)Q - Queen's Quest 3: The End of Dawn (Artifex Mundi) -> CompleteR - Ratchet & Clank PS4 (Ratchet & Clank)S - Shantae and the Pirate's Curse (Metroidvania)T - The Walking Dead: The Final Season (Choice & Consequence) U - Uncharted: The Lost Legacy (Uncharted) -> CompleteV -- Second Swap -- Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate (Batman) V+ - LEGO Marvel Super Heroes 2 (LEGO)W - Where the Wild Things Are (Movies)X - X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Marvel)Y -- Third Swap -- Timespinner (Metroidvania) Y+ - Spider-Man: Edge of Time (Spider-Man) Z -- Fourth Swap -- Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands (Price of Persia) -> Complete Z+ - Steins; Gate 0 PS4 (Science Adventure) -> Complete Project Platinums represented and progress below. 18. Updating my list here as well. But first a couple suggestions for additions to spice up this list. Would love to go for the platinum on this list, but Jurassic Park is delisted.... so..... there goes that. A Way Out - Coop story with decision based mechanics. Feels more action based than most of the games on this list. Hidden Agenda - Gimmicky Supermassive game. The potential for a multiplayer game also switches things up a bit. Planet of the Apes: The Last Frontier - Another decision based narrative. Now for my update, up to 15. Batman Batman: The Enemy Within The Council The Dark Pictures Anthology: Man of Medan Game of Thrones Heavy Rain Life is Strange Life is Strange 2 Life is Strange: Before the Storm Minecraft: Story Mode Minecraft: Store Mode Season Two Tales from the Borderlands Until Dawn The Walking Dead The Wolf Among Us

  20. Castle Crashers Remastered - PS4 (#368) "Crash n' Grab" My buddy and I are on a bit of a online co-op tear. With the lockdowns, we are both confined over a 1,000 miles apart. First up was Ratchet & Clank: Full Frontal Assault and now this one. It was a throw back to playing the original many years ago. The various characters are charming. Great game to mindlessly crush while chatting away. The chaos and silliness going on are always chuckle-inducing. The later levels and bosses do pose a bit of a challenge. Always a great time to play with friends, highly recommended if you need a distraction while indoors.
  21. Now that the New Year Resolution event is over, I should be able to put more effort into this list. Up to 6 now. C, U, and Z new completions since last update. 23. Beat Saber- PS4 (#362) Milestone Trophy #10,000 "Platinum" This was my primary reason for picking up a PSVR set and it was worth it on its own. I spent my high school years playing Halo, Smash Bros and DDR with my friends. This was a natural evolution to the beat step genre. Obviously, instead of moving your legs to hit targets on the ground, you are moving your arms to slice targets as they approach you. This is also a game I know I will continue returning to often. It is so great to zone out and drop in to the neon lights and pumping songs. The platinum itself is pretty straight forward and really only needs some practice to hit the difficulty ramp. I cleared the difficult stuff way before I hit the 24 HR playtime trophy. My DDR background probably helped, but I feel that anyone that has some musical inclination has a strong shot at the platinum. The song selection is a bit small for the base game, but they have kept adding some free songs here and there. Earlier this year they added 3 more to create a music pack on the base game. The additional paid music packs are excellent. Even if you don't like a music genre or band, the designers made the tracks play perfectly with their stream of box arrows. Just last week, the Timbaland music track was added to add some R&B to the mix. They have even added a 90 degree mode which spices up the supported songs. This is a blast to play, fun to show to video game or VR new comers, and there seems to new stuff to check out regularly.
  24. Life is Strange 2 - PS4 (#355) I will keep this spoiler-lite. Just wrapped this one up and, yup, it strung on those heart strings pretty bad. My ending was haunting and devastating, fitting for such a long difficult journey. Had not felt such an impact by a video game ending since God of War. Guess there is something about struggling father figures and growth in the face of unbelievable adversity that can be touching and sad. Much like its predecessors, this game is a decision based narrative game set in a semblance of the real world. To make the story interesting and to give the decisions more gravity a supernatural element is present, much like the first game. While this is the center of the drama, it never feels like it detracts from the characters and developments that occur. Somehow, your decisions feel like they do matter and you find yourself often better a rock and a hard place. Sean, your character, is a teenager thrust into becoming a father figure for his foolish, but innocent young brother. Sean was such an interesting character to control and watch develop. He feels spoiled and dismissive, like most teenagers in the suburbs would seem, but he quickly "mans up" to understand his role in this story and struggles to thread the needle between being protective and cunning. I truly liked how Dontnod wrote this character and I found myself choking up along with him. Episode 4 in particular really elevated the feels in this game to set the stage for a climatic final episode. While it would be easy to dismiss some of the narrative as "after-school special" fodder, much of the more real to life interactions were treated like vignettes, even if they severely impacted the course of the story. I associated significantly with several aspects of these portions, relating strongly with Sean in particular. This game shines in its ever changing environment and new characters that you meet along the way. It very much you and your brother against a raging world. And what a beautifully rendered world it is. Using minimalist and impressionist approaches to design, while still really concentrating on fidelity to the real world, the graphics are often stunning for this type of game. The tall redwood forests, the winter wonderland, the greenhouse, the desert, all so beautiful to explore and wander. I really appreciated this story and its beats and characters will stay with me for a while. I hope Dontnod has another one of these up their sleeves, as no one nails a realistic narrative quite like they do. Let Telltale adapt franchises, and Supermassive thrill and scare us, but Dontnod has gripping human stories down.
  25. Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions - PS4 (#350) Milestone! "Platinum" It is such a shame the black background is not part of the images... it would go so well with the theme of the game. From pretty early on, I knew I wanted to make this a milestone platinum. It is likely the most challenging/rewarding platinum I have earned, even if its not my rarest platinum. This game is a masterpiece of a twin stick shooter. Super accessible for anyone to pick up and revel in its bright neon enemies with an epic hypnotic soundtrack. Brutally difficult in its goals and leaderboard-fueled push for excellence. The various game modes force you to think differently about how to approach meeting the score goal set by each level. My road to this platinum was long, punctuated by breakthroughs in getting thru the main campaign, and then attempting to earn all of the stars for each level. Some days were not very successful, while others granted a zen-like one-ness with the game. Level 49's 3 star requirement was particularly elusive. Getting to the 150,000,000 score was transcendent. You know, those moments you are hardly physically moving, but are still breaking a sweat. You think you almost forgot to take a breath for the last couple of minutes, followed by the joy of that trophy popping. The Beat Phil trophy was also quite challenging. Besides the regular challenges posed by this game, it also has a few local co-op trophies. A couple of friends helped get thru the short co-op campaign, but the scores were too difficult for us. The frantic nature of the multiplayer makes it so that every life lost is devastating to the score goal. Unlike single player, where you keep your multiplier when you die and the modes are mostly life-limited. Multiplayer adds the running multipliers of all participants, but their contributions re-start at 1 when they die. With my friends, I made it 27 out of the 30 stars needed for the trophy. It took a little help from PSNP to help me get the last 3 remaining stars. Thanks so much, @caastmaaster_89 What.a.rush!
