  1. Thisโ˜๏ธmade me laugh my ass off! Great analogy! On topic, The Walking Dead. I've mentioned this before in past posts. I did with this what most people do. You read some good reviews and see that it's an EZPZ platinum and figure, "Yeah! Okay. Why not?" It's a game that most people could probably finish in a matter of days depending on how many hours per day they put into it. At most, a week maybe. I'd have to look at my profile again, but I think it took me over a month. I did not enjoy it at all. For an EZPZ trophy whore game, it was utter torture for me to have to go back and finish. I can't say exactly why. I found it to be dark and depressing, but all zombies games are. I loved The Last of Us. I think it may have been a mix of the dark and depressing atmosphere along with the subpar gameplay (well, for me it was subpar anyway; it didn't really grab me) and the characters who I just never felt connected to or really cared about. At any rate, that is the worst game I have ever played with or without trophies.
  2. Red Dead Redemption
  3. Quick answer: NO!
  4. PSN ID: Spider-Man916 Region: NY, USA Consoles: PS3, PS Vita, PS4 Accept blank friend requests: No. Just put "PSNP" or "PSNProfiles" in the friend request. I am looking for other trophy hunters to boost with and play co-op and mp with. Currently playing GTA Online on PS4.
  5. I couldn't have said it better, my friend.๐Ÿ’ฏ๐Ÿ‘ You know I want to say....I remember a time when platinuming 100 games or 200 or even 300 or 400 games was a gigantic achievement. I started gaming and trophy hunting on January 1st, 2011 (New Year's Day; it just happened to work out that way). I remember popping my first trophy and not knowing what a trophy was and playing through Final Fantasy XIII and popping a few more. I soon figured out what a trophy and its significance and I decided then and there that I would platinum Final Fantasy XIII because I loved (and still love) it so much. It's still my favorite game ever. Anyway, I am digressing. On topic, back then, well over 10 years ago now, I gave myself the goal of someday platinuming 100 games. It is still my longterm goal. Back then, 100 platinums seemed like and, indeed, was a lot. Even up until a few years ago, if I saw someone with 300, 400 platinums, it left me in awe. Fast forward to now, not so much. I see accounts with 400+ platinums all the time now. I'll look at them and I'll see that the majority of what's on most of these people's profiles are trophy whore shovelware. They can't really properly be called games because they aren't. They are "platinum poppers". That's it. Imho, it's kind of pathetic, but, as others have already said, I guess it's a sign of our times. But again....to each, his own. My longterm goal is still 100 platinums. If it takes me another 8 or 9 years or so to achieve that goal, fine. So be it. I'd rather have it take me that long and have played the games that I really wanted to play and platinum the games that I was skilled enough to, was able to and had the time to instead of a ton of garbage which required no effort whatsoever. But again....to each, his own.
  6. ๐Ÿ’ฏ On point. I couldn't say it better. I'll just add that's what one gets when one buys garbage, trophy whore shovelware for a quick, easy plat with no effort. But to each, his/her own. ๐Ÿ’ฏ Agreed. I did it three times with the 2 Mayos and the TWD. But I will never do it again. Imo, it's alright to have one, two, maybe three on your profile, but now it seems there are people with 50, 60, a hundred or more of these garbage "games" on their profile and I don't get it. I guess it isn't for me to get, to understand and to each, his/her own and yadda-yadda-yadda and all that. I, personally, just don't understand having a whole profile filled with these "games", but whatever. Just my opinion. And opinions are like noses; everyone has one so whatever.
  7. I just wanted to give a big public thank you to @chocvanstrawbย and @TrustMeIGotItย for their time and help.ย  I managed to earn both Backseat Driver and Numero Uno trophies this morning in GTA V and I wouldn't have been able to do it without their help.ย  Thank you both! ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘

  8. Well, thank God! Looks like I know what I'll be doing this weekend. And everyone else going for the platinum. @LosAngelesPride Thanks for the heads up! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘
  9. So I received another reply from R*. They confirmed that they will be cycling jobs in and out of the game to make room for updates and such. So sea races and parachuting will be back. I'm guessing that maybe they will be taking a seasonal approach to various jobs and events. Regardless, those two jobs/events should be back sooner or later.
  10. Yes. That is what I figured. Thank you.
  11. This! โ˜๏ธ
  12. I'm hoping for Timmy, Cosmo and Wanda.
  13. Just gotta say GTA Online is infectious.ย  Damn addictive!ย

  14. On the Vita, I am working on Hotline: Miami. I'm still on my first playthrough. I'm at about chapter 12 or so. Pretty good game. I got back to it a few weeks ago after not playing it since 2014 or so. I'm just wondering how tough it is to get A+ on all the chapters. I think the best I've managed so far is a B+. We'll see. On the PS3, I'm working on Wet. I love the concept of the game. The whole grindhouse movie feel to it. It, too, is a pretty challenging game. I'm playing through on normal difficulty and getting my ass handed to me quite often. It kinda makes me wonder just how difficult fixer (hard) difficulty and femme fatale (very hard) difficulty are to complete. Also, the challenge mode. Does not look easy. Again, we'll see. On the PS4, I am working on Uncharted 4. Like all the Uncharteds, I am loving it so far. Also I am back to GTA V. We'll see how that goes considering one online trophy (Numero Uno trophy) is currently unobtainable. No one knows if that is permanent or just a temporary condition. Again, we'll see.
  15. No. That reply was so incredibly dismissive. You can tell from that reply that the customer support team doesn't give a damn at all. Well, my decision is made. Regardless of whether R* fixes this or not, they will never get another penny from me. And I was considering buying RDR2 sometime in the future. No buy now. And the reply Emmanuel gave me is ludicrous. He clearly thinks I and anyone else contacting support about this issue is a complete idiot. Yes. It affects a trophy so clearly it's an issue for Sony. Contact them. What an asshat! He should be fired.
  16. Wow! R* removes two game modes from GTA V Online (PS4) thus making the Numero Uno trophy unobtainable ergo the platinum trophy unobtainable as well and now EA does pretty much the same thing as well. All in a matter of days. Gotta love these BIG $$$ AAA gaming corporations. They really care about the consumers who purchase their games. Unbelievable!
  17. Instrument of Fate Final Fantasy XIII Still my favorite game ever.
  18. So the following is the message I sent to Rockstar games support and this is the answer I received. Smdh ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Spider-Man916's request: Removal of parachuting and sea races makes the Numero Uno trophy unobtainable ergo the platinum trophy is now unobtainable. Please fix this with some type of update so all the trophies are once again obtainable on the PS4. September 17, 2021 Emmanuel O.'s reply: Hello Spider-Man916, Thank you for contacting Rockstar Support. Since the trophies are provided by PlayStation, we recommend reaching out to PlayStation Network Support https://support.us.playstation.com/ We are here to help, so if you have any further questions, or if you ever need assistance in the future, please feel free to contact us. Have a nice day and stay safe! Best regards, Emmanuel O. Rockstar Support September 18, 2021 And this is my answer to that: Spider-Man916's reply: Wrong answer. Very wrong answer. Passing the blame on to Sony when it is a change that your company made. Wow! Know that this is all being shared on social media. Good going. Not the way to win over or keep consumers. Leaves a very bad taste in people's mouths. Won't be buying any more R* games. Ever! September 18, 2021 *sigh* Whatever. ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ
  19. ๐Ÿ’ฏ I just sent a ticket to R* support. They say you'll receive a response in 24 hours. Let's see what happens. As others have already said, a little notice would have been nice. It doesn't have to be six months. One month of notice would have sufficed.
  20. Yeah. It's possible they might come up with a work around, but I'm not counting on it. This is R* after all. They removed these modes to save money, I am sure. I don't see them spending money on manpower, man hours and know-how to come up with a workaround for a trophy.
  21. I know, right? Well, I guess this made the decision for me to NOT go for the platinum after all. Smh And it also doesn't make sense because GTA V on the PS4 is still VERY active. A lot of people! How does removing game modes improve the game?
  22. And I just got a boosting group together for the main game trophies. I actually just set up a group chat for my group on PSN outlining our objectives for our first boosting session. FML Well, if the platinum is now unobtainable, F Rockstar and F this game. Well, I guess I can look at it as I am saving myself a lot of time and aggravation.
  23. I bought and started GTA V (PS4) a few years back. I took about 2 1/2 years off from gaming and even sold all of my PS consoles - PS3, PS Vita and PS4 - almost 3 years ago. Back in January, I bought a PS3 again and got back to gaming and followed that with buying a Vita in February and a brand new 1tb PS4 in March or April so I'm back to gaming and trophy hunting. The real problem for me is time. I am married now to a wonderful woman. I have a fulltime job and often work more than 40 hours. I have responsibilities around the home - chores, shopping, running errands like most everyone - and to extended family. I also already divide my gaming time between all three platforms. I am currently playing and working towards the platinum for three games - Uncharted 4 on the 4, Wet on the 3 and Hotline: Miami on the Vita. I am by no means an OCD 100% conpletionist so I have no intention of ever wanting or going for the 100% for GTA V, but it would be nice to someday have earned that nice, shiny platinum. The thing is besides my limited time to play and the fact that I am already working on three other games, I have read that GTA V can be a pain to platinum. Besides the HUGE time commitment (both for the story and the huge online grind), I have read in the guides that there are quite a few missable trophies as well as a couple of glitchy trophies that don't pop when they should. Still, it is a pretty prestigious platinum to earn. So, basically, I'm just asking for people's opinions here on what I should do. I realize at the end of the day, it'll be my decision, but just looking for some extra input. Thank you all for reading this and any advice or input any of you have to offer. Be well! ๐Ÿ™‚
  24. I don't preorder games anymore. I play through my backlog. I save a lot of money and I don't have to deal with spending a lot of money on games that are broken or filled with bugs and problems at launch. People are still playing most games several years after they launch anyway. No reason for me to jump on the preorder hype train.
  25. Posted this over four years ago. Still true today. Feel free to add me. Just mention PSNP so I know where from.
