  1. Which quest is the one blocking this exactly? I farmed all the combat trophies (Master Marksman, Humpty Dumpty, Axii puppet, Overkill , Hasta la Vista) yesterday with the 2 pirates after the patch, and I had all side quests completed in the game besides Tower Out of Nowhere and the one with the Grossbart brothers or something like that and those are on other islands. Main story was at the start of Battle Preparations. I always travelled to the Trottheim fast travel point and went on foot from there to the exact spot they spawn (no Roach at all). They were a bit unreliable but when I ran up the road to the west until I saw the harpies in the distance then go back to the spot and repeated this 2-3 times, they always came. I also noticed that when I unequip my swords they basically instantly spawn 4 out of 5 times after I kill them and start walking the other way. Also, they never spawned when the spot was in my field of view (mine, not Geralt's - so running towards the screen and looking back blocked it), only when I was looking the other way. Hope some of this helps.
  2. I can confirm this works well now, the puppet is as strong as a regular enemy. On DM it took me around 10 minutes to farm this from 0 with the respawning pirates near Trottheim.
  3. I'd like to join this event, sounds simple and great fun!
  4. Hi All, I'd like to join, if it's not too late. This is the perfect event for someone like me who always has trouble with choosing from the hundreds of games in his backlog. Some interesting ones where I have trouble thinking about a candidate right away but I have all year I'm currently halfway through The Witcher 3 PS5, I think that's a solid choice for "That Takes Forever to Beat".
  5. Hey all, Update #5: Finished all the open world areas in Elden Ring (I wasn't very thorough in Consecrated Snowfields but not being able to see anything takes away the joy of exploring, so I don't really care), only the Haligtree, Farum Azula and Mohgwyn Palace is left before the end. I stopped using my summons for bosses after Rykard, since it didn't feel right how OP Mimic Tear is. I haven't run into any major roadblocks since and it feels much better. But Malenia is next... Judgment (PS5) 48% Guns, Gore and Cannoli (PS4) 42% Tesla vs. Lovecraft (PS4) 78% Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (PS4) 27% Seasons After Fall (PS4) Spirit of The North (PS4) 4% Pyre (PS4) 7% Elden Ring (PS5) 31% -> 50%
  6. Hey all, Next update: Still only playing Elden Ring, running around and exploring, currently at lvl 121 with 148 hours played. I'm not just going for the platinum but trying to complete every quest and boss there is. Failed a few ones already (Rogier and Blackguard) since I'm only using a guide for the missable trophies, so I don't spoil anything for myself. Today I'm going to finish what I can before Mountaintops of the Giants and then head to the last area next week, I hope it's really long because I don't want the game to end Judgment (PS5) 48% Guns, Gore and Cannoli (PS4) 42% Tesla vs. Lovecraft (PS4) 78% Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (PS4) 27% Seasons After Fall (PS4) Spirit of The North (PS4) 4% Pyre (PS4) 7% Elden Ring (PS5) 22% -> 31%
  7. Hey all, Third update: I only played Elden Ring and progressing slowly, since I want to explore everything. Almost done with Liurnia, Caelid and Nokron, tomorrow I'll head to the Altus Plateau as a lvl 80. The Faith/Dex build I envisioned is working out pretty well, Winged Scythe+Black Flame is awesome against almost anything, I only use a shield for rats/dogs and other annoying small creatures. My only problem is that I didn't really find any armor set that I like more than the starting Confessor one, so I'm still wearing that: a black hooded robe with a huge scythe. I also thought about wearing Ensha's headset (a skull basically), but that was too cliché Judgment (PS5) 48% Guns, Gore and Cannoli (PS4) 42% Tesla vs. Lovecraft (PS4) 78% Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (PS4) 27% Seasons After Fall (PS4) Spirit of The North (PS4) 4% Pyre (PS4) 7% Elden Ring (PS5) 4-> 22%
  8. Hey all, Second update: Made some good progress with Bloodstained, around halfway through the main story. Also finished the 1st playthrough out of 3 on normal for Tesla vs. Lovecraft and around halfway through the 2nd on Aether (Hard). A major "setback" was getting finally a physical copy of Elden Ring, I'm already 40+ hours in after 4 days and I love every second even though I'm still very much learning. Going with a Faith/Dex Confessor and just reached Godrick and well, wtf. I need to take a break to write an update here. I don't really feel like playing any other game for a while and I also don't care about the trophies, which is a feeling rarer and rarer nowadays. Since I don't want to feel like neglecting the event, I might as well add it as an 8th game. Thankfully the rest were a quite careful undertaking, so if I spend the next 2 months with Elden Ring, I'll still have time to clean up, hopefully. Judgment (PS5) 48% Guns, Gore and Cannoli (PS4) 42% Tesla vs. Lovecraft (PS4) 60% -> 78% Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (PS4) 11% ->27% Seasons After Fall (PS4) Spirit of The North (PS4) 4% Pyre (PS4) 7% Elden Ring (PS5) 0 -> 4%
  9. Hey all, My first update, working on getting the quick ones out of the way. The easiest one is done, one of the 2 fox games I started with my girlfriend that we didn't finish because it was a bit boring. The art is beautiful but the platforming and puzzles are very bare-bones. Judgment (PS5) 48% Guns, Gore and Cannoli (PS4) 33 -> 42% Tesla vs. Lovecraft (PS4) 12%% -> 60% Bloodstained: Ritual Of The Night (PS4) 11% Seasons After Fall (PS4) 30% -> Spirit of The North (PS4) 4% Pyre (PS4) 7% 0/3 Swaps used
  10. Platinum 173: Far Cry 4 (PS4) Master of Kyrat - 16,21% (Rare) Fun levels: Story 7/10 Gameplay 7/10 Soundtrack 8/10 Finished this up after 5 years. It has some good moments (I like that song from Punjabi MC and Pagan is fun to listen to) and none of the trophies are very annoying. The multiplayer ones can take some time to find a match, it took me around an hour in total on weekend evenings.
  11. Platinum 172: Stray (PS5) All Done - 34,19% (Uncommon) Fun levels: Cica 10/10 I can't say I was invested in the story or the gameplay, but sometimes all you need to be happy is to look at a cat for a few hours. I have 2 of them so trust me.
  12. Platinum 171: Ender Lilies: Quietus of the Knights (PS4) End - 58,47% (Common) Fun levels: Story 9/10 Gameplay 9/10 Soundtrack 10/10 An Indie Fantasy Adventure Platformer with ~60% Platinum achievers and a sad looking little girl as a protagonist? It must be a quick and easy game to complete between 2 bigger ones, you might think. And ooooh boy, you'd be wrong. If you like challenging 2D soulslike metroidvania games, this should be right up your alley. As a soulslike, it has: - tough and memorable bosses with unique boss theme songs - respites (bonfires) that you reach when you're out of heals and on your last sliver of health - gradually and fairly increasing difficulty that makes you learn the game, you can't half-ass through fights with spamming heals while running away from the bosses - a story where you need someone like Vaatividya on Youtube to explain what it's really about (if you're like me and not very good with metaphors and cryptic stuff) - only one difficulty setting and it ain't called easy - treasure chests with teeth As a metroidvania, it has: - big, inviting red and golden doors that beg you to open them but you can't until you've unlocked that skill. Which you know, but try to brute force them anyway with your giant hammer, just to be sure. - what I really liked was that it's not just "Ok, you have this skill now. You can now go back and press X to open door", but you had to think of tricky ways to combine the new skill with existing ones before unlocking that coveted secret room. Besides the exploration skills, you also unlock a lot of unique spirit attacks as you defeat bosses and minibosses (e.g. poison cloud, spinning blades, big fat dude bellyflop), which have limited uses per run but lets you try out various builds. My go-to build was the Umbral Knight + Weapons Merchant + Eleine with Dark Executioner + Fallen Archer + Cliffside Hamlet Elder as secondary, but for some bosses I had to mix it up because they were wiping the floor with me (Ulv, that quick bastard especially). My only regret about the game is that I didn't give a fair shake to all the skills, so I might have missed out on some great moves. I loved every moment of this game and I think it really should be played by more people and should be mentioned right along the usual great indie darling games. It's a testament that as tough it is, so many people platted it anyway (not just on PSNP, it has a 35%-ish rarity on PSN as well). The platinum only asks you to do everything, no missables, no no-death runs, no time trials, just as I like it. My only complaint: the trophies for defeating bosses only pop when a cutscene has played out after the fight, so the video the PS5 captures misses out on the finishing blow. The soundtrack is the definition hauntingly beautiful, one of the best ambient exploration soundtracks I've ever had the pleasure to listen to. Additions to my Awesome Mix: Ambient Holy Land Harmonious North Pulsation Abandonment Compounding - this plays during the penultimate area before the final boss, which some people in the internet comment sections really hate, but with this song it was my favorite area. Even though it has an underwater boss fight. In poisonous waters. Grudge Debris and Bugs The White Witch Boss themes The Sun - Intro The Sun - Outro Helplessness - Outro Communication - Outro Accolade - Intro Accolade - Outro Bible - Intro Mother - Intro Mother - Outro Rosary - Outro Also Bulbel, the song during the credits. My vocabulary is too limited to describe my feelings when listening to it, but there are a lot of them.
  13. I don't think you forgot, I see myself twice in the list now
