  1. Their are costs and benefits to both so I go with a mix. I could lose all of my physical games to a fire, a burglary, or disc rot, or I could lose all my digital games to account ban or hacking or Sony losing its mind and delisting everything. I hedge my bets.
  2. I found 95% of my crashes have been when I hit retry the moment I'm able to. I started waiting ~10 seconds after dying and it never crashed since.
  3. The true final boss of the game is the open arenas in biome 5 with lots of drones. The bosses were really not that bad difficulty. I died to Phrike once and beat all the other bosses first try. Despite this I thought the boss battles were the best part of the game. Collecting ciphers is tedious and yet can still be difficult if you run into a nasty enemy on a run. I don't see this being higher than a 5/10 platinum difficulty. It's a hard game but once you have it figured out the game doesn't ask you to do anything crazy.
  4. I played through all of the levels normally, getting all of the individual level missions. And then for much of my SMB1 challenge mode runs I played normally, as well as the special modes. At this point I was somewhat shocked to learn that the jump you can buy does NOT disable trophies, which was surprising because they went out of their way to program assist mode to disable. I proceeded to use the jump for the remainder of the main game mission cleanup. With that caveat out of the way, I would say... 6/10? 7/10? The main game wasn't as hard as I remembered, and even putting the jump button aside, they give you a lot of breathing room for the challenge modes (as many as 99 chances to die). YMMV on which party game missions you'll find frustrating, but you're guaranteed to want to throw your controller at the screen for at least one. For me it was Monkey Tennis, but a lot of people seem to hate Monkey Golf's under par mission. About half of the games I was able to do all the missions without *too* much effort, and the other half have at least one that's nasty. Again, YMMV on some of these because it's a bunch of unrelated skill sets, so please don't hurt me if you find 6/10 to be on the lower end. I got the platinum in Banana Splitz not long before playing this game so I was definitely (1) trained in the way of the monkey ball and (2) numb to the difficulty of the series, so maybe keep that in mind as well. My PS5 is telling me I played Banana Mania for 41 hours.
  5. I mainly just go for platinums, and I don't feel too guilty about cheesing out the platinum when the "30 max combos with level 10 or higher" trophy is already testing my skills quite a bit. Though who knows. I feel like I've gotten pretty good at the game relatively quickly. I went from 0 to this, so in a year's time maybe I'll be able to get all the trophies.
  6. Unless I'm missing something, I just see the SSS mission from the base game, which I know I'm not going to have the time to get good enough to beat (this is my first DJMax game besides Technika Tune which doesn't count). What about the DLC mission that apparently counts for the trophy?
  7. Which mission is it? I want to know if I can beat it before buying the DLC...
