    Plat# 183: Persona 5 Strikers! Loved the game but this is probably the only Persona game I'm not willing to stack. (Then again I'm gonna stack Yakuza: Like a Dragon which has a similar post-game grind) :)

      That kinda why im not racing to get the plat on the game once i beat it I am going to go back to it later. I liking the game just not looking forwarding to planting it.

    Happy Friday! The plan this weekend is to finish Need For Speed Rivals. Should be doable. What about the rest of you?

    ah when you're gaming just to game, its quite nice. Played a few levels of nioh to get kodama, 100% region 1, minus 1 side mission. Its a game I'm in no rush to get a plat. Its kind of my inbetween games game as i did plat ps4.

    I'm waiting till Saturday so i can pick up Bravely Default II and Persona 5 Strikers. 

     

    Also unsure when it'll happen but i think plat 120 will be Persona 5 Royal.

    currently at 116, so 3 more until i play Persona 5 Royal. 

     

    on that note, is Strikers a hard plat? maybe make it plat 119, P5R 120?

      Strikers from what I have seen is not difficult, it does require some grind though. I’m just playing it right to enjoy it I might get the plat later on

      Working on Persona 5 Strikers, Trails Of Cold Steel, FF XII ZA, and Yakuza 0. Trying to get over this cold weather as we are in the clear of hopefully no more power outages, and I got no school work to do due to the chaos. Persona 5 Strikrs has been amazing so far, it gets very good so far, and im only about 2 hours in that will be my main focus this weekend so I get some of it knocked ou before the game releases Tuesday

      Well preparing for the snow we seem to be getting this next week so it a good day to stay in. for gaming im focusing on Yakuza 0 and my 2nd playthrough of Trails Of Cold Steel. Both are going smoothly it just balancing them both out for me, but I should get much done this weekend. School wise finished most of my work for the week but am planning on doing a bit more so im ahead. GL on AC 2

      Watching the super bowl like you, and some school work awaits, gaming-wise Yakuza 0 on game pass I 14 hours in, and i still have a long ways to go.

    I suppose it would be cool to share my 2020 wrap up stats. No surprise with the results tbh. Well except for Tuesday being super low in terms of time played lol.

     

    Also chuckled at the online stats. Played 12 hrs only all of which was Tekken 7 :lol:. And dang 1568 hrs played/365 days averages to 4.5 hr per day..

      Not suprised by the yakuza domination, expected it with how long Yakuza 5 was. I played none of my stuff online, I think I pay for PS Plus for the cloud storage.

      I platte 13 Sentinals this week, so I be moving onto to my next game (which im plasying on Xbox Game Pass through getting 3 months for a $1), and that Yakuza 0. I want to go through the whole Yakuza series again this year, and since game pass is an option i using it My next game after that will be finishing up Sakura Wars but i predict Yakuza 0 to take a bit.

    I think after putting in a solid amount of hours into the game (~40 hrs, late chapter 7) I can formulate an opinion that's not very likely to change. 

     

    I know the topic has been discussed numerous times by now but I'm not really a fan of the turn based combat. 

     

    The pros:

     

    - Good to have a party around because it feels like you got bros and gals with you at all times and you're just bonding together. Reminds me of FFXV in a way. 

     

    - Having party members is a decent Avenue to explore other characters other than the main one and you can create some cool scenarios with it. 

     

    Cons:

     

    - boss fights don't feel as impactful. Where's the fun in having 4 people vs 1 boss when the boss and the main guy are actually the people who have beef with each other? This may work in other games but in Yakuza where it's personal, it doesn't feel right. 

     

    - You're telling me a former hostess, a 59 year old retired cop, and a homeless former nurse can tackle and defeat the Korean mafia, the Chinese mafia and top Yakuza bosses? What the... Maybe that's just a common theme with JRPGs to have wild party that I don't know about lol but it just doesn't have that impact imo because at this point, your rank in the Yakuza, mafia or whatever criminal underworld that you're part of doesn't mean anything anymore. I just no longer get that rush after beating a prominent boss..

     

    Anyway, don't get me wrong, I think it's a good game and it gets a lot of things right but it's not the best Yakuza game imo.

      I am curious how you will think of the rest of the story, because I had issues with the story, and some elements in the game, still enjoyed my time with it.

    I know we've been blessed with some premium soundtracks in previous Yakuza games that plays during street fights (e.g. Ryu Kyu humming, town bully, etc.) but this one slaps so hard it gave me whiplash!

    Happy Friday and Happy 2021! Here’s hoping this year will ultimately be better than last year. Forgot to do the update last week, but back now. :) The NFL playoffs start tomorrow, so that will take up a big chunk of my weekend. Might also do some gaming if the mood hits me. What about the rest of you?

    Hey guys, I've been trying to redeem maneater for ps5 (I don't own a ps5 yet) so I can have the game when I get the console. However, I've been having difficulties on both the ps app and the browser:

     

    App - it prompts me to sign in when adding it to my library but when I click sign in, literally nothing happens. 

     

    Browser - after I input the 2 step verification code, it'll just load forever then say code expired...

     

    Might be farfetched but is anybody else having the same issue? Can't be the internet connection, I checked.

    In other news, I put about 7-8 hrs in like a dragon so far and I think I spent 90% of watching cutscenes! Not complaining though and I get that they have to build Ichi. The first chance I got to do some activities in Yokohama, I literally spent most of my time collecting trash in a minigame to get S ranks in can collection :lol:. Who knew you can make a minigame about collecting trash as a fun pastime?

    #155 Hard Reset Redux

     

    A very fun, fast-paced first person shooter. Reminiscent of the old school shooters like Serious Sam, Unreal tournament, etc., but with modern mechanics (thankfully..). If you played Shadow Warrior, you would know what to expect. Highly recommended if shooters is a genre you enjoy :). 

     

    Up next, Asian GTA 7! Let's gooo.
