  1. #66 - Tales of Symphonia - Symphonia Master Review: After seven years and eight months, I finally have this platinum. Symphonia was always a stain on my Tales fan trophy list. For someone like me, who has been in love with the series for over a decade, I had never played what most people called the best Tales game. Even having played it and gotten 100% on everything, I can only appreciate it for its place in the history of the series. It is one of my least favorite in the series. Mainly because it is so out of date, and I've seen the tropes used better elsewhere. It probably didn't help that I went in knowing all of the spoilers for the story. The four playthroughs required to get every title were frustrating, but not as much as the fact that you can't carry over items and weapons no matter how much grade you have. The start of every playthrough was painful, and it was frustrating. I wanted to breeze through every playthrough after the first, but that didn't happen. So many quality-of-life improvements other games in the series have made were sorely missed in this title. Platinum Difficulty: 4/10 My Overall Score: C
  2. 100% - Overcooked! 2 Review: Finally finished off all of the DLC trophies so Overcooked! 2 is officially at 100% complete!! The part I needed help with in the end was the horde levels, and my friend @TalesofGaming made it so much easier by revealing that you can repair the gates 😂 Still not sure I would've been able to beat all of them with 100% help without help, but it's done now! As with Overcooked! All you can Eat edition, this game is a lot of fun. I did most of this alone and it was weirdly relaxing to do so. The trophies are a lot harder, with requirements of three stars on all levels for multiple trophies. Platinum Difficulty: 7/10 alone My Overall Score: B
  3. Tales of Symphonia 100% complete as of last night! That is my first pink game I believe.
  4. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 90% (Waiting for a NG+) Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 31% --> 35% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% --> 1% Tales of Symphonia - 76% --> 100% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 100% Operation: Tango - 0% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 13 Games Complete (5/10) Swaps (0/5) I finished off Tales of Symphonia finally! It was getting to be a slog at the end, but I at least had some fantastic company while I got my final titles for the trophies. Moving on to Ni no Kuni 2 finally, and have beaten chapter 1. I've heard many good things, especially from TalesofGaming, about this game, so I'm excited to see how it goes. See the Tales influence on it. Dark Souls 3 continues to be progressing, but a bit slower this last week as I had @TalesofGaming with me in person, so less gaming got done. Finally, I was able to go back and finish off Overcooked 2 (which I don't have on this event, but was three trophies off of 100% for the longest time) and the campaign for Beat Saber.
  5. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 90% (Waiting for a NG+) Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 18% --> 31% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 70% --> 76% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 100% Operation: Tango - 0% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 12 Games Complete (4/10) Swaps (0/5) Symphonia and Dark Souls III are both going well. I'm working on wrapping up my 3rd playthrough of Symphonia, which is still in arc two but past the difficult parts. I managed to get both 'I hate Gels' and 'Gung Ho' in the same playthrough, so now I just need to get Regal's last title, reload that and get titles for Zelos and Sheena, and the item from Zelos, which will also finish off the Collector's book and net me Genis's title for that. Playthrough 4 will be focused on getting Genis for the Flanoir scene and the titles for him and Presea. Getting close!! Dark Souls III has taken up most of my time this last week with @TalesofGaming, and we are making good progress in that. Both of us just finished Profaned Capitol and Smouldering Lake. Lots of annoying invaders, especially in Irythill with usually 2 at a time, even when playing alone. I feel the same as her, the whole 'git gud' or 'don't play online' schpeel gets really annoying after awhile. I've played plenty, and will always hate the stress of having some invader who literally built their character to grief other players. Scared for Anor Londo for that, but hopefully we can push through there and deal with fewer indavers in the process.
  6. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 90% Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 12% --> 18% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 29% --> 70% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 100% Operation: Tango - 0% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 11 Games Complete (4/10) Swaps (0/5) I just finished up my New Game + run of Tales of Symphonia, doing everything for Kratos. Next up is doing stuff for Zelos for the collector's book and titles. It might be a bit much, but I'm trying to go for Gung Ho (total active party level under 145 for an act 2 boss) and "I Hate Gels" simultaneously. We shall see how it goes, thinking of controlling Raine this time so that I can make sure healing will be efficient. Other than that, working on Dark Souls III with @TalesofGaming and we've been making good progress. Just beat the Abyss Watcher boss fight right now, and hoping that invasions will decrease as we get further into the game. Or at least the unfair ones.
  7. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 90% Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 4% --> 12% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 13% --> 29% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 82% --> 100% Operation: Tango - 0% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 10 Games Complete (4/10) Swaps (0/5) At the end of my first playthrough of Symphonia, so I'm cleaning up as much as I can before I start my next playthrough. Basically getting to level 100, grinding grade, doing the Coliseum, and cleaning up as much of the collectors and monster books as I can. Dark Souls 3 progress has been slow, there are a lot of invaders that have high-level gear that invade TalesofGaming and me when we're going through. Think out of all the invaders we've only been able to beat one... Adding Operation: Tango as my next game to play with TalesofGaming, as for commitment for another post.
  8. #65 - Overcooked! All You Can Eat - Legendary Chef Review: Not much to add on this one. The game is chaotic fun!! If you've never played it, I would highly recommend it. This version of the game comes with more accessibility features, and the trophies are really easy to get as long as you can get 4 people together for specific trophies. Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 My Overall Score: B
  9. I'd love to join! Pink: Orange: On top of that @Beyondthegrave07 would I be able to join in on that pledge? Let me know what the numbers end up at the end and I'll also donate to charities that my work will match that line up with your statement.
  10. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 90% Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 1% --> 4% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 5% --> 13% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 82% --> 100% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 9 Games Complete (4/7) Swaps (0/5) Next up on the co-op front is Dark Souls 3 finally!! TalesofGamikng and I are set to start that anytime we can both be free. I've been personally working on Tales of Symphonia, and with 35-ish hours in so far the jankiness of the old graphics has subsided. Have gotten all the characters now at one time or another. I'm sure the trophies will be slow in coming, but I'll get there. Had to remember the feeling of these older Tales games but now it's finally clicking.
  11. Can't promise when I'll get to this, but I'll try to!! Vesperia was my first big game obsession, and I love Yuri and Estelle.
  12. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 38% --> 90% Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 1% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 5% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 42% --> 82% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 8 Games Complete (3/7) Swaps (0/5) So I ended up getting the 1.006 patch for Kena because I forgot to pause updates. No Master Difficulty glitch for me. I tried some on Master but had to revert it because I saved over my complete game and wanted that over my Master save. I'm thinking I'll wait to see if we get a NG+ mode to make it easier to do Master run because I really don't want to get frustrated with this game and have that ruin my enjoyment of it. Overcooked: AYCE is going well! Playing with TalesofGaming and some others, mostly have cleaning up and all the extra trimmings to do.
  13. Tales of Arise - 100% Human Fall Flat - 28% Kena: Bridge of Spirits - 0% --> 38% Maneater - 100% (NOT counting the DLC) Dark Souls III - 1% Ni no Kuni 2 - 0% Tales of Symphonia - 5% Fe - 100% Overcooked: All you can eat - 8% --> 42% Currently working on Not yet out Co-op with TalesofGaming Complete Update 7 Games Complete (3/7) Swaps (0/5) While Human Fall Flat continues to have issues, I've been working through Kena on story difficulty because I was getting frustrated with the normal difficulty. Hoping to use the exploit for the Master mode, cause man, it's already hard enough. TalesofGaming and I have been playing Overcooked with some other friends; we'll be enjoying that for a while. After that, I should be moving on to Dark Souls III with TalesofGaming and Ni no Kuni 2 or Tales of Symphonia after I finish Kena.
  14. TalesofGaming and I were having a debrief about it! I saw your comment on her trophy collection. She and I are best friends IRL and have a lot of the same game choices. I hope you enjoy both games! I'm gonna be starting Kena tonight and probably streaming to get TalesofGaming a taste of the game.
  15. #64 - Tales of Arise - Arisen Review: Man, I waited five years for this game and it was worth it. First, I'm going to go over my complaints about the game. My biggest complaint is that the second "half" of the story seemed way too rushed. The plot twists weren't all that surprising and also made little sense from what we had learned. There were a lot of logical leaps to get to them, but they were a bit cliche for JRPGs. I know a lot of my feelings around that probably comes from the fact that I have read a lot more stories recently that had extremely good plot twists, so my perspective has been skewed by that. Beyond the story, I was disappointed that the platinum was so easy to get. I had been planning on just focusing a month or so on playing this game and getting 100% on everything, but that wasn't required. This isn't a bad thing per se, but I wish I could've had more to aim for. With those complaints out of the way, this was an absolutely fantastic game! I loved every one of the characters and was invested in each of their plights. Alphen and Shionne both are their own people but also have a great relationship that builds up over the game. The campfires were enjoyable, even if there weren't as many skits at them as I had expected (something like Zesty was my expectation). The battle system was amazing. They've moved once more to be more of an action game, building off of Berseria's Action Point system by trying out the Cure Points. CP is iffy but I didn't find it too difficult. It made me pace myself in dungeons and when it started to get low, I would look for a teleport or use items to refill it. This is definitely a great jumping-on point for anyone that hasn't gotten into the series before or has bounced off it in the past. Would absolutely recommend it if you're even remotely thinking about playing it. Platinum Difficulty: 3/10 My Overall Score: A-
