  1. Game Informer recently posted a Top 10 of PS4 and now that this generation is coming to an end, I thought it would be cool to see everyones personal Top 10. My current Top 10 can very soon change as I have yet to play Last of Us 2 and Horizon Zero Dawn (which are next on my list) but these are my Top 10 so far (excluding Remasters of previous gen games): 1. Final Fantasy VII Remake 2. Spider-Man 3. Resident Evil 2 4. Rise of the Tomb Raider 5. Resident Evil 3 6. Devil May Cry 5 7. Resident Evil 7 8. Batman: Arkham Knight 9. Doom 2016 10. Injustice 2
  2. So I am about to attempt the Knives out trophy with the Karambit knife. I know that at certain locations you are required to use weapons and have read up about a few tricks do deal with certain situations. However I was wondering - can you use the Flashbangs to stun enemies with the Grenade Launcher or will this void the trophy ? I think you are only not allowed to damage enemies with firearms but technically flashbangs only stun and don't damage right ? It would be extremely helpful if I could simply stun enemies and run past them (especially in the factory)
  3. It depends on the difficulty because enemies drop more Lei on higher difficulties. I did my 1st run on casual and ended up with 1.1 million. I collected all treasures, beat all minibosses and the only thing I ever purchased were the inventory upgrades. I recently did another run for the Frugal Father trophy where I only purchased some unlocked weapons and ended up with 1.4 million at the end. I imagine if you actually get through Village of Shadows and would not spend any money on that run you could easily end up with 5 million or more as the enemies drop HUGE amounts of Lei (almost 10 times as much as on casual or standard). At this point I don't even know what to buy anymore as I have fully maxed out all my weapons and bought the Grenade Launcher.
  4. enemies are extremely fast and aggressive and some sections have more enemies and several of the harder enemies show up much sooner or in places where they don't show up on the other difficulties. Also some encounters with Dimitrescu and Sturm have several zombie enemies added to it, making it significantly harder if you have to run away from them. I felt that as soon as I reached the Factory the difficulty spikes enormously. the Sturm bossfight was an absolute nightmare because he takes FOREVER to take down and you die pretty much in 2 hits and he has a chance of gutting you if you block his charge attack and end up on the floor. Took me like 30 tries to take him down. However it turns out Heisenberg is far worse. I tried like 100 times and I just can't survive the first phase because you die in 3 hits, he constantly seems to charge you and you can not heal even once. I never made it past that and to be honest I actually gave up.
  5. Please someone help me out here. I just can't beat this fucking boss. I just can't dodge all of his attacks, it is fucking impossible. I have the combat manual but it doesn't do shit in this fight. Coins don't help either. I can get in one power core, sometimes two but then this boss gets so insane and just spams attack after attack and I just can't dodge it all. I have been trying to beat this guy for 2 fucking hours. I just can't. How can you call this an easy plat if this boss is so fucking hard ?
  6. To get this trophy you need to defeat 50 enemies with the remote mine. According to the Benchmarks list I already defeated 56 and got no trophy. Has anyone gotten this trophy ?
  7. You know I love this game so much, it is practically tailor made for me as I am a big fan of open world story driven 3rd person games. But I have been wondering about wether this game really is an RPG because it feels a lot more like a 3rd person action adventure like Tomb Raider with the weapon wheel, focus on traversal, collectibles, camp fires, fast travelling system etc. For example most of the gameplay and progressione elements found in HZD are also present in games like the new Tomb Raider games, Ghost of Tsushima or Spider-Man all of which are games not classified as RPGs. For example the skilltrees which you unlock with skillpoints, crafting ammo, enhancing your carry capacity with resources, the over the shoulder bow gameplay, an open world full of collectibles and campfires which connect in a fast travel system are all elements found in Rise of the Tomb Raider as well. Overriding Tallnecks to unlock the map is pretty much the same as the towers in Spider-Man or Assassins Creed - again two Action adventures, not RPGs. Even Sidequests are present in those games. of course HZD has some unique features to it - taking control of enemies, damage numbers appearing on screen when you hit enemies, elemental weaknesses, exploiting weak points of enemies and levelling up through XP to become stronger are RPG elements (Though Spider-Man also had a levelling system). Also the ability to customize weapons and armor with exchangeable mods that increase damage, defense, elemental attack or elemental defense is also definitely a strong RPG element not found in most action adventure games. But and maybe that why HZD appeals so much to me, the gameplay really feels more Tomb Raider or Assassins Creed then RPG. Also interestingly unlike most RPGs the game takes place on earth instead of a fictional world and has no fantasy elements whatsoever and also completely lacks any form of a magic system - which again is highly unusual for a RPG. And if we call HZD a RPG, doesn't this mean that games like the newer Tomb Raider games, God of War, Ghost of Tsushima or Spider-Man are also RPGs given how many similarities they share with HZD ? I kinda like that HZD is so hard to classify and it blends quite a few genres together.
  8. was really happy with the Resident Evil event. My prayers were heard and RE 8 will be out for PS4 as well.

From all the games I am waiting for right now, almost all of them will be out for PS4 as well so I don't have to miss out on most of them.

Oh and I am SO hyped for RE: Infinite Darkness this year on Netflix.

  9. Platinum #40 The Walking Dead Season 1

obviously a super easy plat (just have to beat the game) but I was actually playing this more for the story. Been a TWD fan for years but somehow never got around to the Telltale Games before. Now they're on sale and I finally got Season 1 and 2 to start.

I was very impressed with the story, characters and direction. That ending hit me like a truck.

    Now onto Season 2.

  10. I am really excited because tomorrow my real life replica of Vergils Yamato sword from Devil May Cry is being delivered. Been waiting weeks for this.

  11. Platinum #39 Devil May Cry 2 (PS4)

yeah I know it's the worst game in the series but honestly it isn't really that bad. I love that you have an evade button in this game and the game is actually really fun if you play as Trish because she is so massively OP (Seriously Trish with DT active and using Aerial Heart will shred any boss in seconds even on DMD). I actually played through DMD mode with her in less then an hour. Even Bloody Palace, while still an annoying slog is a piece of cake with Trish.

  12. man finding all treasures in Uncharted 4 can be really exhausting and frustrating. Some of them are so well hidden, especially on larger maps like in Madagascar and the ocean islands that it takes forever to find them. But what really pisses me off is that the game often does not allow you to backtrack to certain locations so if you miss something you have to replay the whole damn chapter. I missed one treasure in the very long chapter 10 because I jumped down to a new area with the jeep and now I can't go back and have to replay the whole thing again. I was too frustrated to do that so instead I skipped that treasure for now and moved on to the next chapters. Luckily it is the only treasure I missed so far but it really sucks. The Tomb Raider games handled this way better with the fast travel option.

  13. Have gone back to Uncharted 4. Started it several months ago but then missed a bunch of treasures and conversations in Chapter 6 which really frustrated me. Then a lot of other games like Doom Eternal, Avengers, Miles Morales, Horizon Zero Dawn took precedence for me but now that I have completed all those I decided to go back to Uncharted 4 after a 4 month break and finish it properly.

Currently at Chapter 9. I am trying to get all collectibles, entries, conversations and chapter-specific trophies during my first run which makes that run a bit exhausting and will take me a lot longer but since this will allow me to purchase many unlockables straight after the first run it'll be worth it, especially in regard to higher difficulties (assuming you can use the unlocks on higher difficulties). I am just bummed you can't even use different costumes on the first run even if you have them installed.

Oh and how come a high quality game like Uncharted 4 still does not have a sprint button ? seriously, Naughty Dog ?

because sprint doesn't work in a game like Uncharted where they have to time out ingame conversations and the distance that it takes you to get from one trigger to the other without it interrupting it like so many other games fail at. If you could sprint, they'd have to artificially lengthen ever single area just to draw it all out so you wouldn't actually be going faster at all and people who don't sprint will have an even worse time since it's even bigger for no reason.

Why shouldn't games be designed entirely off the one movement speed available? The problem with U4 is it's not the best game ever like people say, it's objectively poorly designed. Even they admit it in regards to the pacing and amount of traversal. That's game design failing, tossing in a run isn't going to fix that tedium.

I don't get this "Uncharted doesn't need sprint" nonsense. The Tomb Raider games have a sprint button and that is literally the same type of game as Uncharted and greatly helps especially during speed runs. Resident Evil has sprint buttons, Last of Us has them too, Horizon Zero Dawn has them as well as pretty much every other major action adventure game and I use it extensively in every single one of them.

  14. Spider-Man doesn't do "kills" And yes you can reload checkpoint to farm pretty much anything in the game. Did it a lot for the wall and ceiling takedowns.
  15. Been replaying Spider-Man again with the new suits that were added with yesterdays update and god this game is just flawless and plays like an absolute dream.

No freezes, no glitches, no crashes, no framerate issues, no cutscene or audio issues no matter how many hours I am playing.

I wish Miles Morales would run so smoothly and perfectly on PS4 instead of crashing on me every day (among many other things)

  16. Uhm...how do you post YT videos in a post ? I can only post links.

    1. Slava

      Slava

The link should automatically transform into a video after you paste it. Maybe it's not working because it's just text, IDK. The URL text should appear blue if it's a proper link.

      Cloudbahamut

yeah the url is blue but it only shows the link itself not the video in the post

  17. New Album "Hell" (german for "bright") from my favorite rockband DIE ÄRZTE (german for "The Doctors"). The band originally came from the german punk movement in the early 80s (they formed in 1982) and developed into a teen punk band in the 80s until they split in 1988. They reformed in 1993 and from there developed into a punk and pop-influenced rockband. By the late 90s they became one of the biggest german rockbands of all time (along with Rammstein and Die Toten Hosen) whose albums regularly are certified platinum and whose concert tours sell out within minutes. In 2007 and 2019 they also headlined Rock am Ring, the biggest european rock festival with over 80.000 people attending during their concert. I have been a fan of them since 1993 and really love their new album, which is their 13th studio album since 1984 and their first studio album in 8 years. The single "Morgens Pauken": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQpt89pihC8
  18. Platinum #38: Spider-Man: Miles Morales

And I was able to get this one on my birthday :)

  19. You can do all 50 remote mine takedowns with quickfire but to pop the trophy you need to manually aim and fire (R1 not L3) and then trigger the mine (L3) for the last takedown.
  20. Don't use quickfire. Aim the mine manually at a group of enemies and then fire. I hit three enemies with one blast and the trophy unlocked for me.
  21. I have been powering through MILES MORALES like crazy. Finished the story, completed all districts 100 %, got all suits, max level and skills, did all the crimes and remaining trophies all within two days and now the only trophy left until platinum is finishing NG+

Game is so much more fun and awesome in NG+ too with all the suits, mods, skills and levels. But I have been powering through the game so much (playing for over 15 hours straight each day since release) that I need to take a break before I finish the plat tomorrow. Besides I don't want to be done with this game after only 3 days.

  22. I just replayed the Let the Game begin Hive over and over on Challenge lv 1 and 2 and got the trophy when I finished the 50th Hive. Never played multiplayer. Have the platinum as well. Took me about 3 weeks total playtime to do all trophies.
  23. I got it. I reloaded my manual save, aimed manually with L2 and then fired and hit three enemies at once and then the trophy popped. Need only two more trophies for the plat now.
  24. I have beaten the first combo challenge and wanted to do the next challenge on the map which was the Traversal challenge in the north of the map. But everytime I go to the terminal I don't get a button prompt to access it. Is this a bug ? Or will the Traversal challenges be accessible only later in the story ?
  25. yeah this is a bit complicated. usually that error code is a regular game crash like you said. But since around August there have been many reports of a virus or system error masquerading as this error code which has caused multiple games to crash and has ruined save files and entire consoles. Apparently Sony is investigating this but has not been able to identify the source of the problem yet.
