  1. Hello everyone. I come to say I haven't "Completed" a game just yet, but I have beaten three games since last time. Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS4): 100% Batman: Arkham City (PS4): 0% Brave: 0% Caveman Warriors: 100% Chroma Squad: 100% Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition: 100% Degrees of Separation: 100%✅ Detroit: Become Human: 100% Fear Effect Sedna: 100% Iconoclasts: 100%✅ Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (PS3): 100% Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4) 100% Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4): 100% Okage: Shadow King: 0% Outlast 2: 0%➡️52% Plants vs Zombies (PS3): 0%➡️61% Rayman Origins (PS3): 100% The Coma: Recut: 100%✅ So.... let's talk about Outlast 2. I enjoyed the first Outlast and Whistleblower, to the point that I may call it my favorite horror game and I was hoping for more of the same when it came to this game. I guess I got my wish. It's kinda the same. You run around shooting video, collecting notes, and running away from big freaky dudes that want to kill you, so it's got the structure of an Outlast game, but it's missing a good amount of what made the first one fun. First off, it tries way too hard. The first game really didn't have too much blood or gore in it, sticking to more body horror and jump scares to frighten you. The second game has so much blood and gore that it starts to lose it's effect very early on. They have dead children, dead pregnant women, and loads and loads and loads of people stabbing you, and it got old pretty fast. They still use gross body horror when it comes to some of the enemies and a scene where you're pretty much crucified, but I don't think it did anything that was shocking. Something I didn't think I would miss were the genitals. I was near the end of the game and one of the villains walks up in nothing but mud, and it gave me two thoughts: "They added a crazy lady in the game, and they had to censor her by not showing anything" and "I'm pretty sure this is the closest that any one in this game has got to be naked." Second, they missed a perfect opportunity to give you a weapon to defend yourself. I know that would have defeated the purpose of the whole series, but hear me out. The first game didn't have many enemies after you. Aside from the doctor, the brute, the final boss and the occasional inmate, everyone at the asylum were friendly and wouldn't get in you way. Here, everyone is out to get you. You rarely have any down time before you have to sneak around a bunch of villagers or one of the four boss villains. What normally happens is that you'll get an objective like reactivate an elevator or get a meat hook from the barn and you'll have to sneak past one of the two things, and then when you are on your way back, a chase will start up and you have to get to the next objective without dying. I think there might be four friendly NPCs (counting your girlfriend and your flashback friend) and when you are getting chased by everyone and their really lumpy grandma, it starts to wear on you. It would have been a great idea if they just let you have a spear or allow you to pick up one of the bajillion objects you come across to even up the odds. They didn't even need to allow you to keep it. There are multiple areas in the game already where you could have lost it. Just say that the wave that knocked you off your raft also got rid of the spear, or you droped it when you fell off the cliff, or Val threw it away when she caught you. The bad guys really liked to take your camera, so why not disarm you as well? Lastly, the story is a mess. To avoid any more spoilers I may have written and to stop me from rambling on any further, I'll just sum it up with that one of the twists is pretty telegraphed that it's not a surprise when it happened and the ending is meant to be up to your interpretation except that the comic and one of the notes you pick spell out what really happens. As always, this is not all of my complaints, but this is a good start. All I have left are the difficultly trophies, the trophy for not hiding in a barrel or closet, and beating the game in under 4 hours. Oh and did I forget to mention that I already beat the game on Nightmare but the game didn't give me the two trophies for doing it? I did? Well now you know why it's going to take me some time before I go back to it. On a lighter note, Plants vs Zombies is a fun game. Not much to say about it aside from it's not as addicting as I thought it was going to be. Every time I picked up a port of a mobile/"Casual" game, I seem to really enjoy myself and want more from it. PvZ is the right amount of game for me and after I'm done with the trophies, I'll be happy with it. Lastly, I took a break from my list to play Shovel Knight: King of Cards. It's always great to have more of what you love. It's probably the second best out of the three DLC. I'm already done with the game, but I might do the rest of the feats just to get the last trophy before heading back to PvZ since it's probably the easiest of all four campaigns and I'm half way done with them any way. The two I see giving me a problum would be the speed run and beating all the card houses without buying any new cards, but it souldn't take too long. A note unrelated to the update: Family is coming in for Christmas in the next day or so. So I might drop off or slow down for the next two weeks.

  3. Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS4): 74%➡️100% Batman: Arkham City (PS4): 0% Brave: 0% Caveman Warriors: 0%➡️100% Chroma Squad: 100% Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition: 85%➡️100% Degrees of Separation: 100%✅ Detroit: Become Human: 100% Fear Effect Sedna: 100% Iconoclasts: 100%✅ Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (PS3): 100% Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4) 100% Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4): 100% Okage: Shadow King: 0% Outlast 2: 0% Plants vs Zombies (PS3): 0% Rayman Origins (PS3): 100% The Coma: Recut: 100%✅ Finished up Arkham Asylum and I would like to add more information from my experience. The fighting seems really well designed and if you know what you are doing, you can just combo all your moves into one another to get a pretty big freeflow going. It only took me a little bit of time to get both trophies I was worried about since A. the later levels in the challenges give you an excellent place to pull of all combos in one go and B. big groups of enemies are easy to combo if you only use the punch and counter. Sadly, the fighting is not perfect. The camera doesn't/can't show every goon you're facing. This has led to multiple times I was fighting someone, only for someone else to charge in and hit me before I had a chance to counter or move out of the way if I couldn't. There were also many examples where Batman would randomly choose a fallen goon when I pressed "Take Down," He chooses one that is closer to a standing up goon rather then the one I was standing next to, and then get knocked out of my combo. Lastly (and this could just be a me problem), I never really figured out how to combo into a Batarang. It always seemed so clumsy to use, almost like you have to press the button during another move and then hesitate while it activated. I lost a good amount of combos trying to use it, and even when I learned a good time to use it, it was still a roll of the dice if I was going to use it correctly. It was these three problems which gave me a hard time with the Combat Challenges, which ranks you on well you did, how big your combo got, if you got hit, and the like. They were fun at first, but getting a high score was way harder then it sounded. The Predator Challenges were more fun since they just ranked you on if you could pull of three different moves. It's still worth playing, just be warned that the Combat trophies can be hard. I've been playing Rayman Legends. I would have liked to put it on my list, but I got the majority of trophies in two days and now I'm just working on the slow journey towards the last level of Awesomeness and I don't want to keep coming back here just to say "I have blah blah points left until I get the trophy." I still want to update you guys on what I thought of it. I was right when I said that Legends was better then Origins. It's alot easier for one thing. The Lums aren't as hard to get due to the line of purple Lums that show up if you collect them in order. I found looking for the Teesies an interesting challenge but still easier then finding most of the secrets in the first game. They even added in a good number of levels from Origins that I remember liking a lot. The only thing I can think of that they didn't improve on was the the swimming controls. I don't remember liking the swimming controls in Origins, but I don't remember much about them. After fighting the water boss in the "Return to Origins" painting I have come to the conclusion that they are exactly how I remember them if not worse. All and All, a better version of Origins. As for real additions, I'm currently down loading three/four expansions I've been looking forward to: Horizon Zero Dawn: The Frozen Wilds, Watch Dogs: Bad Blood, and Assassin's Creed: Origins: The Hidden Ones/The Curse of the Pharaohs. I would like to knock at lest one of these games off (probably Horizon, which I've already started), but I'm going to finish one or two more games before adding another game onto the list. Speaking of, it's about time I started Outlast 2.
  4. I could always use $20 and I can't win it if I don't try. Even if I don't win, I got a good laugh at the poll.
  5. Only one game this month. I wanted to do more, but I got hit hard by the "I don't want to play anything" mood. Darksiders II: Enemies include zombies, ghosts, skeletons, angels, demons, robot-like creations with the souls of dead gods, and Corruption, and a few others I'm probably forgetting about. Counts towards a different PSNP event: Backlog Challenge Fulfills the Hardcore requirement of that month. Started this month You could also count Batman: Arkham Asylum, which has at lest two sections where you fight skeletons. However, those are hallucinations so they may not count. It's up to you if you want to include it. A 10 year old game: Aug 2009 Counts towards a different PSNP event: Backlog Challenge Complete a game that you started this month Lastly, End of month stats: Platinum trophies: 81 (+53)100% completed: 99 (+61)Completion: 92.92% (+16.52)

A fairly easy game both to learn and to play with the only real problem I had was when the Titans were added. Not that the Titan fights were all that hard, but trying to divide my attention between the charging Titans and the attacking goons on the hardest difficulty was what was getting me. Other then that, a great game that I would recommend to anyone whose still on the fence. All I have left is doing the challenges, getting a 40 combo, and doing every move in one combo. I seem to be having some trouble doing the later 2, but I should be able to do the challenges easily. Probably not going to jump into City right after, expectantly since the Perfect Freeflow trophy is harder in that one, though I'm really curious on how much better it is by making it open world. Not much to say about Caveman Warriors. I had fun with it, with the only thing I hated was the third level and the pits killing me in Arcade mode. Not a need to get, but a fun game to play if you need a short co-op game.

I beat the game last night and it was a slog to get through. Honestly, I wasn't sure why I wasn't enjoying it for the longest time. It has pretty much everything the first did and I had a blast when I played that a few months ago. It wasn't until 3/4 through the game that I figured it out. Compared to the layout of the last game, the layout is very bland. The first game had a very apocalyptic feeling to the whole game where you could look at a dungeon and tell that it was a subway or a mansion before the rapture happened. This time around, we have a lot of castles and a lot of underground dungeons that all look and feel the same. It also didn't help that I found a way to brake the game by abusing the skill "Health Steal" which made it almost impossible to get below half health. Just cast the ghoul spells and mash the attack buttons and even the hardest bonus boss will go down in a few minutes. I'm pretty sure I was suppose to switch out equipment more, but I was halfway through my Deathinitive playthrough before I replaced all of my equipment that I got mid game last playthrough. And to top it all off, the game is hella glitchy. The game has crashed on me, pushed me through walls, killed me when my health was a quarter filled, and the Reaper gage has glitched out more times then I can count to the point that I never used it because it would almost never fill. I end my rant by saying I'm more disapointed then anything. I was so looking forward to playing this game, seeing how much it improved on the first by adding RPG elements, and then going on to play the thrid game. However, I'm almost afraid that the next game is going to be more of the same, and I'm not sure if I can handle that any time soon. Oh well. Only half a Deathinitive playthrough and the Crucible left and then I can move on to something else. Maybe Plants vs Zombies.
  8. I don't think so. I might have played it on a collection if it was on one.
  9. Here are the games I forgot to add this month. Chroma Squad: Took me over 40 Hours Counts towards a different PSNP event: Backlog Challange Fulfills the Hardcore requirement Started this month Iconoclasts: Took me over 17 hours Counts towards a different PSNP event: Backlog Challange Fulfills the Hardcore requirement of that month. Both games were fun in my opinion, but Detroit had the better story and better integration of the QTEs. It also got rid of the stupid "hold a button and move stick to move character" thing that was really stupid. What I didn't really like was that they tried to make a black slaves game by replacing "black people" with "androids." It got very distracting at times and kept me from enjoy everything the game had to offer. At lest I understand the appeal of Connor and I kinda want to play Beyond: Two Souls now, despite what people have told me. I had already played Rayman Legends a year or two ago and I wanted to compare the two games, and I have to say that there really isn't a big difference between the two, but I did find Legends a better game then Origins. I am planing to play Legends again since I just bought it for PS4, so I'll tell you if my opinion changes after the replay. I have no idea what I'm going to play. I really haven't been feeling up for playing anything. I'll proobly do my orignal plan and do Arkham Asylum, but I might mix it up with Darksiders II and The Coma.
  11. Quick update to say I'm using my first swap. Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS4): 0% Batman: Arkham City (PS4): 0% Brave: 0% Caveman Warriors: 0% Chroma Squad: 100% Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition: 0% Degrees of Separation: 100%✅ Detroit: Become Human: 0% Fear Effect Sedna: 100% Iconoclasts: 100%✅ Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (PS3): 100% Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4) 100% Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4): 100% Okage: Shadow King: 0% Outlast 2: 0% Rayman Origins (PS3): 0% The Coma: Recut: 0% The Witness: 0%➡️91% ➡️ Plants vs Zombies (PS3): 0% I really wanted to finish The Witness just to say I did it. However, I was not having fun for the majority of it. It was the most bare bones "game" you could have. I will be the first to say that I am not a smart man (no matter what anyone says), but I do like to play games with puzzles that challenge me, and I really like walking simulators. That being said, I need a little more then just another puzzle as an incentive to keep playing. There wasn't even any background music or really any background noises aside from your footsteps and clicks from puzzles, which really bothers me on a mental level. I used a guide for the second part of the game after I got fed up with it. The straw that broke my back was the final challenge. Like I said, I'm not a smart man, and the random puzzles they throw out to you on a time limit was starting to give me a headache and my chest hurt. So I don't give myself a heart attack, I have replaced it with a better, more fun game (or so I've heard), and if I can find someone to beat it for me/help me beat it, I'll inform you.
  12. (NEW) Batman: Arkham Asylum (PS4): 0% (NEW) Batman: Arkham City (PS4): 0% Brave: 0% (NEW) Caveman Warriors: 0% Chroma Squad: 18%➡️100% Darksiders II: Deathinitive Edition: 0% Degrees of Separation: 100%✅ Detroit: Become Human: 0% Fear Effect Sedna: 100% Iconoclasts: 0%➡️100%✅ Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep (PS3): 100% Minecraft: Story Mode (PS4) 100% Murdered: Soul Suspect (PS4): 100% Okage: Shadow King: 0% Outlast 2: 0% (NEW) Rayman Origins (PS3): 0% (NEW) The Coma: Recut: 0% The Witness: 0% After finishing Chroma Squad, I have to say I liked it, but I have to stick with my original statement and say it's not the best TBS you can play. Anything less then Challenging Difficulty seems too easy, two of the three paths being pretty much the same (just one or two unique missions) and the New Game+ mechanic is pretty much broken. After playing the game five times, no matter what I originally thought of the game, I was bored by the end. On a brighter note, loved the fact that each path gives you a different tokusatsu type (the 6th Ranger, Metal Hero, and Kamen Rider) and I loved most of the references. Iconoclasts was one of those games I've wanted to play for awhile now, and wasn't disappointing. I knew it took like 7 years of off and on development and it shows in the animation of pretty much every character. The story switches between my kind of comedy to very serious a couple of times and I liked it all the way. I read after playing it that people found the ending came out of left field, but I think it was a pretty logical conclusion. The reason for not playing it sooner was due to the One-Hit Wonder Trophy, which has you beat the game on Challenge mode, which makes it so you die in one hit. In my opinion, it's not as daunting as it sounds because it only unlocks after you beat the game AND you get a New Game+ which gives you all the Tweaks you created in the previous save from the start. Just equip all three Iron Hearts and you now have four hit points. The only places that gave me trouble were whenever they gave me a new character (because they can't use Tweaks, so they only have one hit point), the penultimate boss, and the hallway to the last boss. The last boss also gave me trouble mostly due to me being stubborn and not resetting the fight after checkpointing with no Iron Hearts available on the last phase. Added Batman: Return to Arkham (Arkham Asylum and Arkham City), Caveman Warriors, Rayman Origins, and The Coma. I'm hoping to have both Batman games done so I can move on to Arkham Knight without any problems with the story. As for what game I'm going to play next, it's either going to be The Witness or Detroit. After that, probably Arkham Asylum.
  13. You probably forgot me. I can't find my name.
  14. First game of the month Kingdom Hearts Birth by Sleep: Took me over 120 hours if the combined totals can be trusted Counts towards a different event: Fall/Winter 2019-2020 Backlog Challenge Fulfills the Hardcore requirement
  15. It still took me almost an entire day to beat the Mysterious Figure with Terra (because he sucks at dodging), but other then that, most of the were fairly easy and fun. I'm glad I can still say it's my favorite KH game after all these years. Side note: I kept hearing that the PS3 version is the worse version becuse it had a lot of load times. I didn't find it all that bad since I beat the original version without installing it or whatever and THAT has long load times. Started Chroma Squad and it's ok. Not sure what I expected, but it works for a turn based strategy. It's a funny game for people who are fans of Super Sentai/Power Ranger, but it's kinda average aside from that. It's not a bad place to learn TBS games.

All that's left is grinding the Reports and fighting the Bonus Bosses. Oh boy... Fun... especially with Terra. 😒 If I hadn't said I was going to make this my 75th platinum, I would take a break before heading into the post game. I might still start Iconoclasts or something before starting Terra's bosses only because that's the part I'm not looking forward to.
  17. End of month stats: Platinum trophies: 74 (+46)100% completed: 89 (+51)Completion: 91.70% (+15.30) I wish I had a little bit more time to get one or two more trophies to get my completion rating up a bit, but what ever. Close to finishing my first game of the month. Will probbly be done in two or three days if I'm lucky.
  18. I kinda want one now.
  19. Last game for the month: Assassin's Creed Chronicles: Trilogy Pack (Three side games in the Assassin's Creed Series (11 Main Games)) Complete 4 games within one month: Borderlands 2, Fear Effect Sedna, Minecraft: Story Mode, and this. Fulfills the Hardcore requirement Started this month

A fun short puzzle game that reminded me of Unravel Two. Fear Effect Sedna was one of those games I kept seeing on sale on the PSN store and wanted to try it out but didn't due to not really liking how the first two games looked. After finishing up this one and enjoying it for the most part, I might give the remake a shot whenever it comes out. Minecraft Story Mode has the strengths and weaknesses of a normal Telltale game. Good story for the most part and kinda works as a Mincraft game, but limps along in the middle (about episode 5), most of the characters annoyed me, and most of the magic is lost after you realize none of your choices really matter. Other then that, my biggest gripe is with the faces of nearly everyone. Going to play Assassin's Creed Chronicles for now and then probably come back to either Murdered or Detroit and save Birth by Sleep for my my 75th Platinum.
  23. Finished my last "game" last night. 0. LEGO Marvel Super Heroes (2260) 1. Zombeer (6031) 2. Outlast (2392) 3. God of War (7523) 4. Oxenfree (4844) 5. Borderlands 2 (3445) 6. Hopefully I won't have the same problem next time.
  24. Nier Automata. I have been looking for a copy to play and I've heard nothing but good things about it.
