  1. Update #7| Trophies earned: 84/161 | Swaps used: 1/5 | God of War - 37/37 - 100% Ghost of Tsushima - 54/60 - 84% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II - 2/28 - 2% Quick Update... Ghost of Tsushima What can I say... I finished the main game early afternoon on Thursday and earned the platinum. I decided to start my new game+ right after. Normally I don’t do this, but the game really grew on me. Around 9 hours later, new game+ is done So now all that’s left is the Legends DLC, which I will probably start this Saturday. I don’t know what’s going to be next, but I think I might start with The Last of Us Part II. I need story driven games right now. Anyways that’s it for the quick update... Good luck everyone!
  2. Update #6 | Trophies earned: 50/161 | Swaps used: 1/5 | God of War - 37/37 - 100% Ghost of Tsushima - 20/60 - 24% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II - 2/28 - 2% Before Ghost of Tsushima... There was a lot going on before starting GoT. I managed to finish the online part to Far Cry 2 (finally). It was a huge grind, but it’s done, and all that’s left is the campaign. After finishing the online part, I started looking in my backlog which other PS3 games required online stuff. First game that popped up was the Red Dead Redemption, luckily it were only a couple DLC trophies that I needed. Made quick work of those trophies and moved on to the next game, which was Persona 4 Arena. I’ve got most of the online trophies done, just 2 or 3 more and that will be another game I won’t have to worry about in case of server shutdowns. With RDR and Persona 4 Arenas online stuff done, I moved over to PS4 again and finished the 2nd DLC for Control. Last but not least I should probably start working on Shadow of Mordor on PS4 and get that one online trophy out of the way before the server shuts down next month. After all this it was finally time for... Ghost of Tsushima After hearing a lot of good things about Ghost of Tsushima, I was finally ready to give it a try myself. I love the story and the way the game looks in general, the music is absolutely amazing and further helps set the tone. However besides the whole samurai lore (which I absolutely love), there is not much to it. The side quests are ok but kind of repetitive, just like the collectibles, I’m not saying it’s not a good game, but in my opinion it’s nothing special or something we have never seen before (besides the samurai stuff) Anyway I’m still enjoying myself with it. Progress is slow because I want to have one area completely done before moving to the next. Just finished the first area and I’m now well into act 2. Hopefully next update will include the platinum for Ghost of Tsushima! Happy hunting everyone!
  3. Update #5 | Trophies earned: 30/161 | Swaps used: 1/5 | God of War - 37/37 - 100% Ghost of Tsushima - 0/52 - 0% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II - 2/28 - 2% Another update with no progress towards the challenge. I might have made a mistake by going all in on this Far Cry 2 grind. I also remember putting Control on my list in previous iterations of this challenge, but didn’t do so this time around... I did manage to get it done so now the platinum count is at 199 and I can finally start on Ghost of Tsushima! Regarding the Far Cry 2 grind. DONT DO IT! I made the mistake myself. There’s one online trophy that takes so much time it will take away some precious game time on actual good games xD. So far I managed to unlock the manuals for 17 out of 27 weapons. That’s pretty much all I’m working on, and it has taken 58 hours so far. The boost method is slow and boring as hell, and luckily I found someone just as crazy who wants to go for it. My next update will hopefully have some more progress towards Ghost of Tsushima and the challenge in general! Good luck everyone!
  4. Perfect timing for this event as I was already sort of working on some PS3 titles. I've already removed the games from my list which I don't own anymore, don't have any interest in or have unobtainable platinum's It's a decent amount of games (70), but a lot of them already have a good chunk taken out of them. Priority goes to the games that are already on my list, but I'm making an exception for The Bureau: XCOM Declassified as I just really want to play it. Looking forward to the start of this event! STARTED (40) UNSTARTED (30)
  5. Update #4 | Trophies earned: 30/161 | Swaps used: 1/5 | God of War - 37/37 - 100% Ghost of Tsushima - 0/52 - 0% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II - 2/28 - 2% Progress is almost non-existent. I’ve played all kinds of games that are not on the list. God of War is done! And that’s it. I’ve been grinding the multiplayer for Far Cry 2, and got the platinum in Glass Masquerade. A not too hard but nice looking puzzle game. I’ve started MotoGP19 and MediEvil, both not on my list... I have considered swapping some titles out and I might replace Until Dawn with MediEvil but I’ll have another thought about it before I actually do. MediEvil is going to be platinum #199 so if and when I do finish it, it’s time to start Ghost of Tsushima. Keep it going and have fun everyone!
  6. It’s more so his reaction to others that doesn’t help his standpoint. Imagine meeting up with someone that rude online... But I guess we are the so called dudebro’s. Also never played the online but already knows it’s boring.. that’s like my 6 year old saying he doesn’t like his food without even taking a single bite... Feel free to disagree, I don’t mind...
  7. The title of this topic is very misleading.. I don't think I have anything to worry about. Here's a thought for people worrying about their privacy. The moment you signed up for PSN, they already got your information. The moment you linked your CC to your account they got more information; The moment you decided to post all your trophy progress on forums or facebook or whatever, they got more information That one time you linked your PSN to a twitch account... they got more information. I dont think they will ban you for having a normal conversation including F-bombs while playing with your friends. If you're that concerned, use discord, which is another company that already has your information and probably records too. Might as well get rid of your cellphones all online accounts and what not if you're THAT concerned about your privacy. Just my opinion, feel free to disagree I don't mind...
  8. I remember MLB 14 The Show trophy descriptions being pretty lengthy! https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/2522-mlb-14-the-show
  9. Was lvl45, made the jump up to lvl533
  10. Update #3 | Trophies earned: 28/161 | Swaps used: 1/5 | God of War - 35/37 - 11% > 17% > 91% The Hong Kong Massacre 24% > 30% - 10/20 > Ghost of Tsushima - 0/52 - 0% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II - 2/28 - 2% God of War (91% 35/37) No progress on God of War this week. I think I know what the problem is with me not being able to kill the Valkyrie Queen, I was way too aggresive on the attack and didn't think about my defense at all. That's probably why she kept kicking my butt. I'll give it a couple more tries over the weekend and see if I can find a good strategy that works for me. Since I wasn't playing God of War, I decided to start on Mafia, which was not a game on my list for the challenge. I did manage to get the Platinum and enjoyed the game for what it was. Nothing special or anything we haven't seen already. Classic mode gave me a little headache at some points but eventually I got through it. The Hong Kong Massacre 24% > 30% - 10/20 > Ghost of Tsushima (0% 0/52) I've decided to swap out The Hong Kong Massacre for Ghost of Tsushima. Not because I don't like it. Reason is, I want to make Ghost of Tsushima my 200th platinum. I still need to finish 3 more games, but I just wanted to put it on the list already! Also I'm not sure if any of the games on the list will be the ones I get as my 197/199 platinums but we'll see. I'll report back after the weekend. Happy hunting everyone!
  11. Come to think of, @MidnightDragon I’m not sure if I’m on the official participants list too. might have missed my post from 1-2 weeks ago. Sorry for the hassle, I’ll make sure I’ll join on time next challenge
  12. Update #2 God of War 11% > 17% > 91% - 35/37 The Hong Kong Massacre 24% > 30% - 10/20 Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II 2/28 - 2% God of War (91% 35/37) I was hoping this update would include the platinum for God of War. So far I’ve enjoyed everything this game had to offer. Did everything I needed to do to beat the story got all the trophies. And then there’s the Valkyrie Queen... I don’t know how many times I’ve tried beating her, it just won’t happen. Tried numerous different builds, watched countless videos on how to beat her easily(...) It’s quickly ruining the experience I had with the rest of the game. Which is sad because I really had fun playing it. I will keep trying but with much less interest than before. If anyone has any tips on how to defeat her, feel free to share. Because of all this, I’m already looking at what I will play next which is probably Until Dawn. Happy hunting everyone!
  13. Update #1 The Hong Kong Massacre 10/20 - 24% -> 30% God of War 12/37 - 11% -> 17% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Last of Us Part II 2/28 - 2% God of War (17% 12/37) After first playing God of War on PS4 last year, I couldn’t really get into the story. One year ahead and here I am absolutely loving every part of it so far. I guess there’s a right time and place for any game to be played. Right now I’m at the start of chapter 10. I’m not in a rush so the goal for tomorrow is to at least finish chapter 13 and backtrack to get some of the collectibles I’ve missed. I assume most of you have already played this so I won’t go into too much detail and I don’t want to give out spoilers for the people that haven’t played it yet. The Hong Kong Massacre (30% 10/20) Whenever I don’t have the time to play for a couple of hours, I need something short, quick and fun to play, preferably something without a very detailed story. The Hong Kong Massacre is exactly that. Twin Stick mechanics with pretty cool looking graphics and gameplay that reminds me of Hotline Miami. Except it’s in the style of a classic John Woo action movie. The levels are short but the challenges keep me busy. Trying to get through the levels without missing a shot or under a target time can sometimes be pretty challenging. I don’t think I’ll make fast progress through this one... I hope this challenge can push me to 200 platinums before the end of the year. Happy Hunting everyone!
  14. Okay I guess I can still join... I’ve compiled my list of 5 games for this Challenge, when and if I finish these I will add more to the list. The Last of Us Part II 2/28 - 2% God of War 8/37 - 11% Until Dawn - 4/19 - 14% Doom 17/55 - 21% The Hong Kong Massacre 8/20 - 24% I think I’m going to start out with either God of War or The Hong Kong Massacre. I’ll report back after the weekend to see if I made any progress. Have fun everyone.
  15. Is it still possible for me to join? I’m only 10 days late (sorry). I wasn’t able to sign up for the summer challenge and kind of let everything slide, but I’ve found some new inspiration. If it’s too late to join I understand. I’ll wait with posting a list until I’m sure I can join.
  16. Update #3 (I think) So with these challenges atleast for me, I have weeks I earn the platinums and then go weeks without to set everything up again, trying to not work on too many games at once. Then there is the games that are not part of this challenge that I also want to play, delaying my progress even further. But hey it's still early in the year, there is enough time (hopefully) No new platinum trophies or completed games that are on this list. Instead I started 2 new games and finished the first playthrough on both games. They also require a 2nd playthrough on a higher difficulty. Yes I could've done that in my first run, but I'n not in a hurry. First off I started Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered. Goal of the first run was to get all the main story related trophies done and earn anything else on easy so I can just do a checkpoint run (as I like to call them) on Veteran. I've finished 2 or 3 levels on Veteran so far, and it seems that it's going to be doable. There is one trophy though... Best of the Best, which might take me a lot of time to get. Guacamelee 2 is the other game I decided to start on. I remember having a lot of fun with the first game on Vita and was kind of disappointed the second game was never released for it. Nonetheless, the game is still a lot of fun up to a certain point. Pretty much everything is doable with a couple of tries, the fighting mechanics are a lot smoother compared to the original. I did prefer the story of the first game over this one. After finishing the story you can sort of freeroam through all the levels to try and get each of the 11 maps to 100%. And this is where the game starts to show some flaws for me. Some parts of the level designs are so difficult to get passed, it gets frustrating, annoying and to a point I don't feel like I want to play it anymore. Being stuck on a section that should take around 1,5 minute to get through for around 45 minutes to an hour gets me really close to throwing controllers (don't worry no controllers were harmed) The plan is to slowly try and progress through these games on the higher difficulties and go for any trophies that are left afterwards. After that I might power my way through the boring game that is Control. Here is my updated list of progress
  17. Weekend!
  18. It's been 20 years already... From what I remember playing most, I guess it's these games: Silent Hill 2 GTA: Vice City Burnout 3: Takedown Silent Hill 3 Gran Turismo 4 Need for Speed Underground Metal Gear Solid 2 Silent Hill: The Room Pro Evolution Soccer (forgot which one, but it was when PES was better than FIFA ) Auto Modellista
  19. Update time. In my last update I said I was probably going to play Medal of Honor Frontline. Well that turned out kind of different. That game did not age that well and I was not really feeling it. So I decided to pick up American Fugitive again. A really nice looking Twin Stick game, which is a genre a wanted to explore more this year anyway, Story was fun gameplay was fun and it looked the part. Until I reached the time trials... It took everything away from the great experience I had so far, which is a shame because the base game is solid. Eventually I’ve managed to get all time trials gold and with that pop the platinum. I’ve started working on the DLC but for now I kind of want to play something else. Call of Duty MWR or Guacamelee 2 is next.I kind of want a short and not too difficult game so I’ll probably go for Modern Warfare Remastered. v The complete list v
  20. First of all I must apologize for pretty much abandoning the Fall/Winter Challenge, and I hope it's ok for me to join this once again. I've learned my lessons previous challenges to not just keep adding games, it works demotivating for me... So this time around I'm going to put 5 games on my list and not change or add anything along the way. I'm also going to (try to) get rid of some of those 1% games that have been on my list for quite some time. 1 | Control - 11/47 - 15% 2 | Doom (2016) - 10/55 - 11% 3 | Medal of Honor: Frontline - 1/46 - 1% 4 | Republique - 1/30 - 1% 5 | White Night - 1/34 - 1%
  21. I'm wondering what my score will be at the end of the year. I've already agreed upon playing more games I bought in the past than buying new ones. So far I guess I'm doing alright. Haven't bought any physical copies as of yet. If I do it's most likely going to be old PS3 games I've had in the past but got rid of at a certain point in time. January 01/01/2020 Dead Nation Apocalypse Edition €3,19 28/01/2020 Shadow of Mordor GOTY €12,99 February 05/02/2020 Guacamelee 2 Complete €5,99 05/02/2020 PS Plus 1 Year €59,99 Total €82,16 / $89,62
  22. Looks like I've finished another game. Valentino Rossi the Game. I've played a fair share of the Milestone Motorcycle Games and honestly this was just more of the same as all the others. Basically a rebranded replacement for MotoGP16. Getting the main stuff done is pretty simple, but the grind afterwards for two mileage trophies was kinda lame. Race for 250km on a flattrack bike. I was pretty much done with everything but had to ride the same race for over 5hrs. Didn't really add anything than boredom to the experience. Some of the Rossi Challenges were mildly annoying but doable. Glad its done. Next up I feel like I want to play a shooter so it's going to be Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered or Medal of Honor: Frontline. I'm leaning towards the last one as I've heard it's pretty tough. v The complete list v
  23. After taking some time off from gaming, I've finally managed to pick it back up albeit a bit slow. I managed to get Need for Speed Heat done. I have no clue what the story was about since I skipped all the cutscenes. I enjoyed the game for a while, but after finishing the story the grind became real. A ton of collectibles and activities made me lose interest completely and it felt like a never ending chore. Good news is, it's done! Here's me hoping they won't release any DLC... I don't know what's next. I'll probably try and get Valentino Rossi the Game done and might switch to PS3 for a bit.
