Anyone knows how to fight Fire Guardians from Dante's Inferno (big horned demons, that are non-stop on fire)?

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I'm spamming him with cross to quench the fire, then he's possible to be damaged for like, 3 seconds, before he's fully in flames again. I am spamming until he's pitch black, but it doesn't seem to have any effect, cuz he just nullifies it all randomly.

  I've been unsuccessful at locating the specific enemy online, but the cross also damages the enemies to the best of my knowledge, so for flaming enemies, I usually just spam the cross until they die. If that doesn't work, try using holy magic on him.

  Doesn't really work when there's three of them. And they like attacking off-screen.

  I found him. It's a Malacoda, but I'm not sure why he's giving you so much trouble. After spamming him with the cross enough, an R2 will appear over his head. Press that button to punish or absolve him. The others typically won't attack while you're in the punish or absolve animation.
