  1. This has been the most disappointing ride, I just wish we could get off and junk it. Maybe go back to working on Wild instead, Michel Ancel? I’d really like to see more of that, because it doesn’t crush dreams like turning the sequel of one of the greatest gaming experiences of my life into ... whatever this is. Some sweary-mary, Luc-Besson hot take, mmo-lite.
  2. Almost all. I have the Wii’s Xenoblade Chronicles downloaded on my Wii U but I haven’t started it, and I never bothered with Wii Fit.
  3. Mostly Minit and Celeste. Lots of Dead Cells and Moonlighter. Some Donut County and Into the Breach. A little The Messenger and SUPER SMASH BROS. ULTIMATE.
  4. Kind of disappointed that Tetris Effect was nominated, but it’s not on sale.
  5. Uncharted tries so hard to get me to like witty everyman Nathan Drake, while also making me kill hundreds of people. God of War tries so hard to ensure I despise angsty edgelord Kratos, while also making me kill hundreds of creatures. The kudos have to go to God of War for tonal consistency I guess, but I’m not really a fan of either. Third person cover shooters aren’t my bag, and I played Ninja Gaiden Black and Devil May Cry 3 before God of War, so I was used to better combat. I’ve still only played GoW 1 on PS2 and UC 1&2 on PS3, though.
  6. Having to manually install background downloads that also required double the HDD space, and how they’d take forever if you were trying to download and install at the same time. It was always annoying, but when my original HDD failed it was excruciating refilling up my replacement all at once.
  7. Kirby Star Allies. After the super fresh Planet Robobot, KSA is like a half-hearted attempt at returning to classic Adventure / Dreamland Kirby ... which was already nailed a few years ago by Return to Dreamland. Now I just want a co-op Kirby game modeled after Super Mario 3D World.
  8. Spelunky is the first that comes to mind. Playing between the Vita and PS4 has the added benefit of individual player screen movement instead of always being locked to the lead player.
  9. Jade from Beyond Good & Evil.
  10. I cannot decide between Celeste, Dead Cells, Minit, or Moonlighter. They’ve taken up all my time this year and mean a lot to me for different reasons. On the AAA side I bought Ni No Kuni II, Sea of Thieves, Monster Hunter World, Kirby Star Allies, and the remake of Shadow of the Colossus ... and haven’t played any amount of them. Oh well, one day.
