  1. Interest in this 👑 topic cannot die, IX is so close that I can almost feel it! So where is my PS4 port of VIII NOO, I MEAN VI again? Ernst is best man ♡ First things first, I was going to turn my badge-claiming post into a photo safari ٩(ˊᗜˋ*)و but my endeavour was stopped short when the image hosts I tried to use either showed blank or seem to resize my screenshots (shameless testing with this post). I hope to still get around to posting at least a few screenshots of the cast (including Canlilika’s scrunched up expression when she complains again ( ິᵒ̴̶̷̤ ﻌ ᵒ̴̶̷̤ )ິ ) from a computer but not sure when. My platinum screenshot is the title screen so I want to pretend that this one signifies my completion of the game instead ♪ For completing Celceta, I’d like to have one fine Ozma, please (:ᘌꇤ⁐ꃳ 三 (with my PSN ID/Fenrirfeather) (No rush, please do this when you have a moment to spare.)

      So halb, halb.

Long story not short: Azelais was meant to be a temp account after western VITA launch but a year in I’d caught the lazy and stuck with it.

Around winter last year I was hit with a (minor) PSN account data retrieval error and figured: hey, I’d wanted to switch back ages ago, might as well do it now! = spontaneous itch

I do enjoy the hunting but didn’t dwell long on being booted back to 0 trophies. Or that peeps met through PSN may think I’m newborn bambi. (Plus, getting to poke fun at acquaintances who were all baffled “don’t do this” and ”but why” was legend :ninja:)

Losing Resonance of Fate (PS3) saves did drive me bonkers for a sweet while because I’d been right in the middle of it and ima turtle.

  3. I’d hesitate to call them the following points anything but my philosophy or my principles, considering that I seem to have an allergy to a hard time keeping to rules in general and to forego the call of creativity and of the spontaneous instead. My trophy hunting is primarily influenced by how I like to play my games. Let’s start with seemingly going off topic for a moment: if a RPG features healing and (temporary) stat boost items or overpowered super moves (example I can think off the top of my head from types of games I like to play: flashy charged skills, online aid, summons/attack items) I’m likely to try to play the game pretending that they do not exist. So, how does that relate to principles of trophy hunting exactly? It does (more often than not), when making use of everything that the game offers you is the fastest way to 100% it. I suppose this translates into the following guiding principle: trophy hunting tends to (sure there are exceptions) have limited influence on my manner of playing games. Blind playthroughs are also fun (to me). If I don’t need to keep an eye out for missables and keep lists or a walkthrough at hand, my heart swells with... warm, fuzzy stuff. I value high immersion 💎 Hands down. When trophy hunting, that’s not the most efficient route to go about it. I don’t own/use many popular techie peripherals and the like, partly because I do not have the space for/own a proper standard PC ATM (turbo controllers that rehabilitate your sore thumb(s) and those nifty sounding scripts immediately come to my mind) ...will Star Ocean III’s 40 to 70 hours of bunny races (killing-with-cuteness-since-2003/4) challenge my quirky convinctions and will a smart controller empty my pockets? Stay tuned for my next adventure with Fayt and the bunnies of death and doom 🐰 (coming not soon) Here’s time for some double standard that I can’t strawberrybanana explain, however. I do use a USB stick to back up saves on occasion. By default, I don’t plan for it. So when I come to the point at which I feel that I need to back up my save to preserve my sanity, I gotta go on USB safari 🦒 round the house and possibly despair over having let others borrow them all. (Definitely how I felt about Tokyo Jungle on my old account: can’t do good enough, can’t do without Can-Do Creature, can’t do without USB.) Turning my DS/VITA upside down with buttons pressed to keep my systems from going to catch Zzzs during those occasional inopportune hours moments? I do it. (Still own my original VITA with a smashed, blackened OLED screen that’s run out by courtesy of my kitty, so burn-ins don’t scare me.) Some points that I hadn’t considered if others hadn’t pointed them out but that are, in fact, super closely tied to what I enjoy in my games (presentation, for one) and that therefore heavily influence the results of my trophy hunting efforts: as for stacking games, I’m fine with doing it myself. My reasons: there are many times when my desires are far too great to reason with Curious about the (English) translation? Want to talk about text-heavy games with friends in English? But still want the option to fall back to Japanese text? (Especially with otome, gruesome translations are bad! A certain company - who I applaud for bringing over otome anyway - has grossly disappointed me in that respect.) One audio/text turns out to be speaking to me more than the other? (I’ve yet to tire to point out how awesome I found English audio in Akiba’s Trip! Used that one. Only that one.) Want to gift/share a game with family or (German-only) friends but want to play the Japanese game myself? Or want to (I rarely do) get a fancy limited edition on top? (looking at you, you hot, hot JP Xillia 2 exclusive edition for me, EU for family) A single copy won’t do then (yet, maybe never but I can hope). Fun and satisfying my random whims in gaming is one of my principles but so is avoiding 積みゲー*。 I want to try to keep a balance. (*it’s like Tsundoku but with books instead of games. Composite = meaning games piling up, a big backlog) A related philosophy of mine: real 積みゲー feels bad. Not buying -> stacking -> shelf-ing, never playing. If I buy a game or am gifted a game, I feel that I better make an effort play it (again, if need be). Games, groceries, clothes, electronics - I buy them? I better try to make something out them or find them a better home. On that note, I don’t non-accidentally hide games/trophy lists (broken games, unfinished games, stacks) by principle. I want to stare at all my games listed in a pretty manner (=on PSNP) in awe, marvel and think back to all the moments of joy - and the stupid bumps on the road - of my gaming journey.

From memory, and more because I absolutely do not ever want to play Comrades again to look at the stats, Ardyn requires a high defense stat and at least 300 magic defense (with lightning resistance as well). I really do not enjoy the fight, especially since 3/4 of my party are out of my control.

The bird though? Almost nothing you can really do to prep against him statwise... his attacks will instakill you 7/10 times depending on what it is that hits you. The saving grace is that they have a long and obvious windup that telegraphs what the attacks are. Hopefully you can kill him quickly though because he will regenerate health at some point.

I want to say the goal is:

      2k Def

      300 M.Def

      100% lightning resist

Comrades would have been far, far better had it utilize the entire would (since it would load the entire world) instead of what they did do. They could have kept the current setup they have for specific missions and the like as side challenges, but I really wanted to explore that world ending cataclysm that was going on with 3 friends.

  11. Chaos Rings III https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/3004-chaos-rings DG - https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/3560-ケイオスリングスiii (not yet linked) CR series is chaos (multiple JP versions of all games & not all with trophy support), so looking into it was... fun: https://psnprofiles.com/trophies/3004-chaos-rings is the list used by the JP and the ASIA (HK) physical versions of CRIII (the version of CRIII that is part of “Chaos Rings III: Prequel Trilogy”). This list also seems to be shared by the JP and the ASIA digital/PSN versions of CRIII from the Prequel Trilogy. 12. OreShika2/Oreshika: Tainted Bloodlines that has a single worldwide list and platinum rarity of 1.33% (PSNP rarity) despite its not too small share of Japanese players (who very rarely fail to up those rarity percentages). It was part of the PS+ lineup in July 2016, though. Judging by the actual difficulty (level of frustration with respect to the genre) of OreShika, I’d expect the platinum to be rare or borderline ultra rare. Possibly somewhere around 4-7% (for being a handheld exclusive and “super exotic niche VITA game”). The game is incredibly niche and grindy for a JRPG, with one of the most dull trophies demanding that you actively pass 100 ingame years - and it is quite likely that you end up with at least half of these years left after finishing postgame (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾ For some odd reason or another, the rarest trophy is a different one and gained after completing postgame (Happy, Happy Hiruko) which requires some grind (yes, you see, about this game... the grind is strong with this one ) but is not overly difficult. Just tedious. Only 7% of players completed the maingame and I imagine that it’s so largely due to that dungeons don’t have (mini)maps. It’s as if this game was designed to force the player to dish out good old pen & paper ✏️ Also, I remember that back in the day when OreShika first released in English, there was plenty speculation that dungeons seem to have a degree of randomisation to them. The good stuff you absolutely wanna know & why you shouldn’t let the low rarity percentage scare you: dungeons are set up to be reminiscent of labyrinths and can be confuzzling to navigate but they’re not actually randomised. Each dungeon comes in up to 4 flavours and layouts are set in stone. Once you got 3-4 layouts for a dungeon plotted down (or have access to the full collection of maps), you’re set. The same goes for the location of the few key items there are and, for the most part, also for the Festivals that you spend the first half to 2/3s of the game going after. The Festivals can pop up at random in a small, set number of preset locations (certain rooms) within dungeons - determined by the # of the Festival + some randomness to make us cry keep life exciting ♪♫
