  1. Over 10% rarity is high... If that's the case, I'll try to throw a few games in the hat. 1. Prince of Persia The Two Thrones (12%) - Twins boss fight on hard difficulty + dying and the autosave is before the entire chariot driving section before getting to the fight (also a tad rough in its own right) + unskippable cutscene. 2. Jak II (18%) - One or two sections with wicked difficulty spikes relative to the cakewalk the other 99% of the game is. 3. Uncharted (18%) - Crushing difficulty was a real wakeup call to gamers when it was first introduced. Plane Wreck was brutal, and thank goodness for the Blue Room glitch. 4. God of War 1 (20%) - The elevator challenge with the Satyrs was still rough, even with knowledge of proven strategies. 5. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (24%) - Quidditch flying challenge was tight for time. 6. Sly 3 Honor Among Thieves (38%) - Couple of the challenges were tight for time. 7. Goat Simulator (42%) - Flappy Goat can die in a fire. 8. Ice Age 3 (42%) - Couple of the challenges rolling an egg down an icy mountain were tight for time. 9. Terminator Salvation (56%) - Shooting tons of OP things from the back of a terribly shaky dune buggy, on hard difficulty, with an overheating gun, health bar, and time limit. Am I remembering this correctly? If I included mind-numbing grinds, the list would have another 10-15.
  2. Ah, yes. The classic internet forum topic where a person asks a question they already know the answer to, just so they can talk about themselves. You went from 50% to 72% and then ask what the trick is? 1. Play game with missing trophies and earn the trophies. 2. Repeat #1. (...but you knew this already, didn't you?)
  3. I came across a large group of names, as well as a few random names, and decided to start putting them all in a single group for the sake of having a definitive list to reference, as a service to the community. 1942: Joint Strike Afro Samurai All-Pro Football 2K8 Armored Core IV Armored Core: For Answer Army of Two Assassin's Creed Baja: Edge of Control Beijing 2008 Beowulf: The Game BlackSite: Area 51 Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War Blazing Angels: Squadrons of WWII Blazing Angels 2: Secret Missions of WWII Brothers in Arms: Hell's Highway Cabela's Dangerous Hunts 2009 Call of Duty 3 Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Cars Mater-National Championship Clive Barker's Jericho Colin McRae: DiRT College Hoops 2K7 College Hoops 2K8 Conan Condemned 2: Bloodshot Conflict: Denied Ops darkSector Def Jam: Icon Destroy All Humans! 4. I've inverted both X and Y since the day the options were first introduced to gaming, and have fought (unsuccessfully) for years to have the option added to games, so I completely understand the OP's frustration. I'll make my incredibly experienced advice short and sweet: 1. Use a special controller that has button mapping functions. Be 100% positive that the inversion of X and Y is an option, as 99% of controllers advertised as having button mapping don't actually have it. Also, be prepared as many that have the invert options are wireless, use batteries, and drain them quickly, so there's a considerable added expense to your gaming. 2. The better option, and my suggestion to you, is to take a few days and force yourself to play "the normal" way. It will feel very awkward at first but, once it feels normal, you'll never have a reason to struggle/avoid games/complain/stress again. The sacrifice of feeling awkward for a bit is well beyond a fair trade for the sake of your mental health. In conclusion; they'll never change, but your brain is intelligent enough that you always can.
  5. Just finished a third playthrough of Mafia III and, after going 0/2 on the "flip all" playthrough, this one was going to be my "kill all." I got the informants, but somehow not the bosses. I am so fucking sick of this garbage. 3 playthroughs and 0 boss trophies. I'm never buying another 2K game again.

    1. Spaz

      Spaz

I hold 2K Games responsible for coming out with a game that was unfinished at release. The amount of bugs and glitches Mafia III had when it came out was unacceptable.

Anyway, I see you still need to kill all the racket bosses, but I don't know if your game is glitched or not. I had one trophy glitch on me which forced me to play the game OFFLINE because that was the only way I could earn the trophy.

Shame, because Mafia III has a good story with good compelling characters set in a time period when America was drastically changing.

Looks like they'll fuck up the Mafia 1 remake as well.

  6. Second playthrough of Mafia III done and still didn't get the "flip all bosses" trophy. A game that should only take 2 playthroughs just turned into needing at least 4. Fucking brutal. :(

    1. MarcusPunisher

      MarcusPunisher

I feel you there my friend. I went through 3 playthroughs and got nothing unfortunately. I wish I could help, but I tried everything. It's a one big BS that the developers never fixed.

    2. Cynical_Delight

      Cynical_Delight

Brutal! Have the trophies for Mafia III always been bugged? I got the platinum without issues, but this was earlier in the year just before the 'Definitive Edition" came out.

    3. Spaz

      Spaz

That's the only reason to do two playthroughs as well. Just a poorly designed trophy meant to pad the game.

I love the characters, the story and the setting. But it just got really repetitive and rather boring after a while.

  7. I got nothing (Canada). I wonder if message settings has anything to do with it. $10 would've been nice because the Arkham Knight season pass is on sale for $7.
  8. It appears as though I created a monster. Nice to see this event made it to so many instalments.
  9. Unhide the game's trophy list on your PS4 console, earn a trophy in any game, sync PSN, then sync PSNProfiles. P.S. Uncompleted is not a word.
  10. Hey, folks. After using about 20 guides in a row that are absolutely riddled with errors, I feel I need to ask about what's going on here. Are these guides being accepted based solely on the fact that there wasn't one on the site at the time? Or is it more like just glossing over them for swear words because The Guide Team already have so many things on their plate and this volunteer work falls low on the priorities list? Please pardon me if that sounds like I'm being a jerk. I'm genuinely concerned and curious.
  11. I think what you really meant to say was, regardless of going for just the trophies or not, my answer was absolutely perfect for either scenario. Thanks.
  12. :platinum: #165 & 100% #200 - Batman: The Enemy Within. Probably the worst TellTale game available. Weak story, minimal interaction, no emotional connection, no humour, wasn't dark/gritty; it just felt very rushed. 6 plats in 40 days. :)

      PooPooBlast

Hated the first one as well so it seems like we share the same sentiment here lol.

I felt that all we got was a whiney Bruce Wayne who is always bringing up his dead parents in every conversation and has flashbacks of them constantly as if they just recently died.. :l

Then you have that stupid twist at the end of the first game.. ugh.. easily the worst telltale game. Didn't bother with the second one as a result

I actually liked it, but everyone has different tastes. Congrats

@Spaz I thought it was okay as well. TWD seems to be the benchmark for most TT gamers, and for good reason. I mean, c'mon, who didn't cry at the end? xD

@PooPooBlast I agree that the first Bruce Wayne was kind of off, but the game was pretty cool in a several other ways. I feel like that is what saved/elevated it. He's not so bad in the second one (more like bad overacting), but it also lacks in almost every other strong category from the first one, so it just takes away from the experience.

@MidnightDragon I liked it too, but having the previous 5 or 6 games be great, then having this one just be good, technically would still make it the least of the set. It's like having a bunch of 8/10's and one 7/10; it is the lowest, but still decent.

      TWD - emotional

      Borderlands - funny

TWAU - morbid/dark/gritty twist on fairy tales

      Batman 1 - Batman! + new/unique TT mechanics

Batman 2 - same as the first one, but less of everything

  13. You went above and beyond with this response, Mango. Thanks a bunch.
  14. :platinum: #164 - Assassin's Creed: Odyssey. 85hrs of "meh." I'm renaming Origins and Odyssey as "O O," as in, "Oh Oh! Assassin's Creed isn't Assassin's Creed anymore." There wasn't even a hidden blade in this one.

I still managed to score :silver: #2,500 and PSN Level 41. :)

There was a hidden blade. It just didn't belong to Alexios/Kassandra. Darius invented it and utilized it. You have to download the DLC and play it to learn the origins of the hidden blade.

@XchocomanX Full blown RPG, and there seems to be a heavier focus on microtransactions and splitting up DLC.

      @effdeegee Eeew. Sounds horrible D:

  15. There's a lot of benefits for finding and completing the many different types of locations. - Tombs give an automatic skill point. - Ruins give ancient tablets for upgrading your ship. - Sync points make it easier to travel. - Caves give 3 types of stone/gems for upgrades to ship and gear. - Underwater areas are needed for a trophy. - Forts and Leader Houses lower the control level quickly. - All "?" give xp for both uncovering and completing. - There are challenges that unlock engravings. - They all have money, resources, and decent gear (which you can either break down for more resources, or sell for big money). - They're all great places to find a high density of enemies. and the biggest thing that nobody seems to consider is that they're attached to quests that give massive xp boosts (ie. Complete all objectives in 15 forts nets something like 50k xp). I've seen a few that give 65-100k xp. They may seem like a minuscule bit of xp during the middle levels, but the huge bonus come in really handy when you're level 40-50 and the xp needed to level up is like 500k-1mil and the side quests are only giving 35k, or, if you were completing them all during the earlier 15-35 levels and the bonus earned fills almost your whole xp bar in one shot. TL;DR - Do all the things cuz AC Master says iz gud.
  16. :platinum: #163 & 100% #199 - Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. The best Star Wars game ever made, but fairly mediocre as a game in general. Poor optimization made for way too much graphical pop-in, freezing during level transitions, and just all around bugs/glitches/falling through stuff. End game cleanup was a tedious slog. Also, the Prince of Persia trilogy called; they want their royalties for using their platforming animations. 4 straight plats in June! :)

Congrats! Very weird that I never had a single glitch aside from some of the characters T-posing on the ship between missions, everything else played really well. Granted, I only played the story so far so perhaps I'll encounter more when I go clean up.

  17. :platinum: #162 & 100% #198 - LEGO Ninjago Movie: The Videogame. Out of the 16 LEGO games I've played, this is easily one of the lesser instalments, but you just can't beat the price of "free."

@Froopy the Cowbear I think there's actually something like 50 LEGO games.

@effdeegee Clearly I was wrong.  Now that is a lot.  Wow.  No wonder there wasn't a collection for them xD

  18. :platinum: #161 & 100% #197 - inFAMOUS: Second Son. Same deal as Ratchet & Clank; played it up to 90%, sold it, found it years later for $5, and only needed one playthrough for that sweet hundy. B)

  19. Thread still looks great, ol' bukky boy!
  20. This is very weird to see indeed. Not that it needs to be said but, the top 5 achieved platinums are all great games too. Good barometer for essentials in gaming.
  21. Sorry for the late reply. I just came across this post right now. - 100%'s game January 2016. - Writes lengthy shitpost March 2018. - 120 games played, 25% completion. - 7 @ 100% (and this is one of them). 1. So, you hated the game so much that you played through it twice and did all of the extra stuff for the platinum and 100%? Making it one of the very few games you've ever completed? 2. You say inFAMOUS 1 was a much better game, yet you didn't platinum and 100% that game? 3. The hate must've been so intense that, even after 26 months, it was still a bubbling rage inside you, enough so that it compelled you to type up a mini hate essay on the game? I'm guessing you probably would've liked it more if it was called inFAMOUS: Call of Duty. The internet makes me smile sometimes.
  22. Just finished the PS4 version, so please bump me up from 8/9 to 9/9.
  23. :platinum: #160 & 100% #196 - Ratchet & Clank PS4. Burnout caused me to stop playing and eventually sell the game, while 3 trophies short of the platinum, more than 2 years ago. I just found it for $5 and thought I'd finally revisit it and finish it off. :)

  24. Watch Dogs 2 just gave me 12 straight :silver: . :)

  25. 100% #195 - Journey. Not the total jizzfest that people make it out to be, but it was kinda neat for a 1-2hr game.
