  1. How long would it take to get all the trophies for the DLC? And if I follow this method, will I have then the Comrades standalone game within my games (so will have to get all trophies also there?) Sorry if this was already asked / answered.
  2. It was a thing until when I played it. Since then, there have been a couple of updates, so maybe this was fixed (but I don't think so). Yes, it's very cheesy, especially with V. With Nero the homing rocket is very weak, would take ages to kill enemies. And I think you can't do the meteor+camera with Dante, because you have to use the lock button to summon it, so the camera will lock the enemy.
  3. Alright, thanks for the info!
  4. I am about to start the game and I read that there are collectibles. If I collect some during my 1st run, will they carry over for my 2nd run (same scenario)?
  5. Who was the hardest boss for you? I just beat the game (missing Shura ending) and for me it was the "secret" boss for the Purification ending Guy has high resistance to damage, large area of attack, he is fast and can almost 1-shot you. The secret boss and the final boss were not that hard when I found out Divine Confetti increases damage to them (I am 100% sure for the first one, and I think it also increased damage on the second, but the fight was too intense to check properly :D).
  6. Using super chars: * V: whatever, just spam Nightmare and power-up Griffon and Shadow. You can also use camera manipulation so that enemies won't attack you, but it doesn't really matter. * Dante: spam stinger in DT, for the first 60 lv enemies are weak and die soon. Then you can also spam SDT. * Nero: you have infinite EX charges, so attacks are powered-up. Keep enemies in the air and use the R1+back+forward+attack, it's really powerful. Punch Line can help keeping enemies at bay, but you can also use Buster for more damage or Ragtime. You can also quit the BP at any time (after you clear a level), exit the game and backup the save. If you die, you can restore it, so you don't have to start over. It doesn't work only for the last 4 lv, where you fight 4 bosses in a row without rest. It just takes time, it's not hard at all. Regarding enemies: * For Furies you can literally spam whatever attack you want and you'll eventually hit them. With Dante SDT it's no trouble at all, same for V, while for Nero (if you don't have Ragtime) just spam regular attacks and you'll stop them (use camera manipulation to have only 1 at the time attacking you). * For Urizen do as I wrote above. Don't jump over Nightmare, because if you get hit you'll lose DT and have to wait for it to be restored. (For the same reason, don't use V's crane attack which uses DT). * For Nero vs Vergil use Punch Line when he is in the air after an attack. You will stun-lock him in the air and can juggle him for a loooong time (use also the gun). It's a very easy strategy (for Dante and V, again, spam SDT and Nightmare).
  7. I did the same and went for NG++. I think it's the best option if you are fast reaching endgame in NG++.
  8. 1. I put a few notes in the description (I am the player :D) to make it faster. It can be easily done in 140 seconds (my best is 135, and another used said he did it in 130). 2. I am also curious about that strategy and will probably try it out even though I already maxed everything, just for curiosity Also, in NG++ the gunners on the bridge (fighting against the red samurais) give a considerable amount of exp (441 each I think), while in NG only 21. This is weird and is not the +40/50% you mentioned, I am not sure why their scaling is different. Anyway, this makes the method even more efficient (at least in NG++, probably also in NG+ but I didn't reach that point in my NG+). Btw, 5 hours for a speedrun seem way too much. 3 hours should suffice even dying a couple of times at bosses (skipping all enemies and mini-bosses).
  9. Wow that's a lot of dedication I also wanted to fit a curve to predict how many exp I would have needed, but I just went for blind grinding lol Anyway, I did a speedrun on NG+ to Shura then I went for NG++ and farmed there (I needed Shura for the trophy anyway, and this way I also had the scroll given by Isshin for the Shura ending, which is not required for any trophy but still cool). I also kinda did a speedrun for NG++ (killed all bosses and did all things for all ending, but I didn't kill any optional mini-boss). Reading how much time people spent farming on NG+, I think it was a good decision. However, if you already are in NG+ past Shura (so "good ending" endgame) maybe it's not worth to do a NG++. Btw: * For the first farming method, it's better if you do a full run as in It gives more exp/hour (in the description it says how to improve it). * Alternatively there is the antichamber you mentioned (super simple) * Rr the "long antichamer" described here But read the comments because as in the video the run is not very efficient. It is very efficient (maybe as much or more the outskirts method) if you didn't kill the chained ogre.
  10. Use camera manipulation. Go in a corner and have the camera frame only you and not any enemy, then start the EX taunt (to boost rank and also build DT, I believe it is faster than reading the book) and spam attacks with Griffon and Shadow. Works for everything except for bosses, but if you get enough skill points (thanks to the EX taunt) you will be able to afford 2 deaths.
  11. No run is good in NG. Even in NG+ you'll need several hours (some people spent days). If you are confident in killing bosses, do a speedrun in NG++ to save time. The grinding is strong for this achievement.
  12. THIS POST IS FULL OF SPOILERS! Thanks a lot of all people below who contributed to this guide! There are 4 endings:• Immortal Severance: side with Kuro on the rooftops of Ashina Castle and get Dragon's Tears (neutral ending),• Purification: side with Kuro and get Dragon's Tears + Aromatic Flower (good ending),• Return: side with Kuro and get Frozen Tears (best ending),• Shura: side with Owl (bad ending).Points of no return:• If you side with Kuro on the rooftops of Ashina Castle you won't be able to get the Shura ending.• If you kill the Divine Dragon before getting the Owl bell charm and the Frozen Tears you won't be able to get the Purification and the Return endings. [After you kill it, you won't be able to talk to Kuro anymore, so you won't be able to get Purification / Return if you missed any step involving him (see below).] Note that after you defeat Genichiro on the rooftops Kuro will ask you to choose between helping him and protecting him. This choice does not matter (you won't be able to break the Iron Code at this time). The best way to proceed is to fulfill the requirements for all endings, beat the final boss, backup your save, get an ending and then load to get another ending.• Get just before the Diving Dragon + Get Frozen Tears + Get Aromatic Flower (or at least the Owl bell charm) (can be done in any order),• Kill the Divine Dragon, • Be sure to have collected at least 4 (out of 6) lapis lazuli, • Beat final boss, • Go back to the Sculptor's Idol, • Backup,• Get Immortal Severance ending,• Load backup,• Get Return ending,• Load backup,• Get Purification ending, • Start NG+ and reach Kuro vs Owl decision, • Backup, • Get Shura ending, • Load, continue towards any other ending to get the remaining lapis lazuli. Why do you need 2 playthroughs? Because Shura has different bosses and you need to defeat all bosses in one save to get the "Man without equal" trophy. You also need 2 playthroughs to get 10 lapis lazuli. Why do I need lapis lazuli? To fully upgrade the prosthetic arm you need 10, but you can get only 6 per game and only if you don't choose the Shura ending. [There was a rumor saying that Okami Warriors in Fountainhead Palace would drop lapis lazuli. This information seems to be false and has been removed from the wiki.] Do NPCs affect endings? No. In fact, they cannot even die of Dragonrot. In the worst case, you'll have to cure them do progress their quests, but endings won't be affected. (Also, there are no trophies related to NPCs). Do I need the Combat Arts obtained after defeating the final boss for the "Acquire all skills" trophy? No, you "just" have to unlock all skills using skill points. Below are the steps for getting all endings. Full details here. For Immortal Severance + Purification:• Follow the story and do what Kuro tells you do to (get the Mortal Blade, the flower past the Guardian Ape, and the stone past the Corrupted Monk illusion).• Return to him and defeat Owl (first point of no return, you can no longer get the Shura ending).• Talk to him and go to the Fountainhead Palace (he'll give you an item and you'll have to go back to the cave past the Corrupted Monk illusion).• Proceed but stop when you reach the Divine Dragon (there will be a small cave where you have to pray and you'll be teleported). DO NOT KILL IT YET!Purification requires few additional steps:• Eavesdrop on Emma and Kuro after the Owl fight by going behind the altar in Kuro's room. (Some guides say you have to eavesdrop on Emma and Lord Isshin, but that is possible only before the Owl fight and it's not required anyway).• Rest, go upstairs to the roof and talk to Emma, rest, talk to her again.• Rest, go to the Old Grave idol and speak to Emma (she is past the door on the left).• Rest, go to Dilapidated Temple and eavesdrop on Emma and the Sculptor, talk to her and she'll give you the Owl bell charm. • Use it (pray at the Buddha statue nearby) and you'll reach an the Hirata Estate, where Owl died in the first memory.• This time things will be different. Make your way to the area where you fought Lady Butterfly, kill Owl again and get the Aromatic Flower item. For Return:• Give the Divine Child the note that the monk in the Main Hall of the Senpou Temple gave you (if you missed it, you can still find it at the bottom of the pond at the Temple Grounds).• Ask her rice 3 times, she will get sick, give her one persimmon and she'll give you rice for Kuro.• Give it to him and he'll make sweets for you. Rest and she will leave the Sanctorum to go to the Hall of Illusions.• Talk to her, go to the cave left to the Main Hall, inspect the corpse at its end and give the note you found to her.• Now you need the two snake fruits. You get one by solving the kite puzzle and killing the first Great Serpent, and the second in the cave in the Sunken Valley where the second Great Serpent is by solving the puppet monkey puzzle. • Give the fruits to the Divine Child and she'll give you the Frozen Tears (you'll have to rest, eavesdrop, rest, be sure to have burned the incense in Kuro's room, and then finally talk to her).Note that you can do everything more or less at the same time. You can even get the snake fruits before fighting Owl on the rooftops, you don't have to wait to reach the Fountainhead Palace. Once you have the Aromatic Flower (or at least the Owl bell charm) and the Frozen Tears you can kill the Divine Dragon. Now you have all items for the 3 good endings: Dragon's Tears (for Immortal Severance), Frozen Tears (for Return), and Aromatic Flower (for Purification). Beat the final boss, backup your save and proceed to the ending. Depending on which items you use, you'll get a different ending, meaning that you can load your backup and simply get a different ending without having to beat the final boss again. Finally go on NG+, chose the Shura ending but backup first. After getting the Shura ending you'll also get the "Man without equal" trophy for defeating all bosses. Now you can load the backup and proceed towards Immortal Severance / Return / Purification in order to get the remaining lapis lazuli and fully upgrade the prosthetic arm. As a personal note, you could also go for NG++ right after Shura. The reason is that you'll need A LOT of exp to gain skills points to unlock the "Acquire all skills" trophy, and every time you start a new playthrough enemies will give you more exp (and also will be slightly stronger). Depending on how fast you can speedrun, you may consider to wait for NG++ for farming exp and getting lapis lazuli.
  13. Oh yeah, that ninja with that AWFUL camera. (It's in Ashina Reservoir btw, in the same well you were trapped at the beginning of the game). You can use the same strategy I suggested for Lady Butterfly based on dodging. The fan is great, I would say the best tool for me. You can find in the fort in the Sunken Valley, where you are supposed to go there later in the game. This is out you get it (you'll have to defeat a mini-boss, but it's one of the easiest in the game). Anyway, also the Ashina Elite is optional, it is possible to reach the rooftops without going through his chamber. Good luck!
  14. They drop beads it you didn't kill them in NG, otherwise they drop money. Similarly, if you have already collected them, instead of gourd seeds you'll find Jizo statues.
  15. Yes, don't give up! The Lady Butterfly you can dodge -> 1 attack -> dodge -> 1 attack -> ... It's a cheesy way but should work. Otherwise do it later, when you will be able to bring her posture down normally. The purple ninja is not mandatory. Is it the one in the secret passage next to the river? (I think it's the only one you can fight at that time) You can skip it and just enter the building. For the Ashina Elite you must learn perfect parries, since you take damage with normal ones. Do you have the fan prosthetic arm? It's great for that fight, since you won't take any damage if you parry with it.
  16. Guardian Ape and Sword Saint. Ape was the first big boss you fight and was a very nice change from humans (with the exception of the bull), and at the headless part was like "wtf!". At first I was dying quite often but I wasn't getting pissed, still enjoyed the fight. Sword Saint has a great setting, it's long and you basically have to use everything you learned during the game.
  17. Cloud or USB backup. Just close the game, go to Settings -> Application Saved Data Management -> Saved Data on System Storage, and upload the save either to the cloud (you need the plus subscription) or to an USB drive. In theory, you should do it right after beating the final boss (go back to the idol), then you proceed to the ending and when the trophy pops up you close the game and restore the backup (same procedure, but you go to Application Saved Data Management -> Saved Data on USB Storage, and upload it to the system storage). Then talk to Kuro again and use a different item to get another ending. Yes, unfortunately you have to get the Purification ending in NG+. EDIT: My phone cut out some text from my reply. BlackTorito replied anyway.
  18. What do you mean? If you want to have 4 separate saves, you won't get many achievements (like the "kill all bosses" and "max arm upgrade"). If you mean NG++++, yes it's safe.
  19. Be aggressive and dodge with Gerbera. Collect enough points with EX taunt during the level so you can die twice.
  20. For Nero abuse aerial combos. Especially the one with "R1 back forward attack" is very powerful and keeps you in the air. I was almost only spamming this against all Urizen forms. For Vergil, punch line makes the fight super easy, since you can stun lock him in the air for a lot of time.
  21. Every skill. Endgame outskirts stairways is the best but requires you to memorize the path and to be as fast as possible. Endgame antichamber deathblow ninja -> rest -> repeat is easier (totally brainless) but gives a few exp less. Fountainhead palace is also popular but neither the fastest nor the easiest.
  22. Wait, first download the mod that undresses the characters lol
  23. You can eat it and it will refill your energy for quite some time (like 30 sec). The mochi should have the same effect. The snow (the rice the Child gives you after being sick) is even stronger. It is the best healing item in the game after the gourds. Outside combat you can give it to the old lady you find in various places and she'll give you hints about the puzzles to find the snake fruits.
  24. No rice / snow from the Divine Child? That item is amazing and can be refilled. You can also use the mochi prepared by Kuro if you gave him rice (he will also give you a second one, not sure what triggers that, and maybe it is also refillable (I never actually used it)).
  25. The camera is the true boss in that fight. Anyway, you can backstab for 1 free deathblow, then just deflect and mikiri is kick. He goes down in 20 secs. (Unless the camera went crazy, then I was the one dying in 20 sec lol)
