  1. January Completion Demon's Souls (PS5) January 29th, 2023 February Completions Catherine: Full Body February 3, 2023 Prototype February 22, 2023 March Completions Deadbolt March 5, 2023 PowerWash Simulator March 22, 2023 Another game done today in PowerWash Simulator, a really relaxing game that's great to play while listening to a podcast. It's been a nice way to relax and not have to think much while I was working on 2 much harder games in Deadbolt and Jump King. The campaign was just the right length and ended as I was starting to get tired of the game and the challenges aren't too bad as you only need 5 of them and get to choose which you think you'll be best at. I'm also going to add Tchia and Ape Academy 2 to my list of games.
  2. Deadbolt is done, getting me gold tier and the PS4 Master badge. A good game that kind of plays like a simpler Hotline Miami with a side view instead of top down. I wasn't expecting a lot of this game but the story was decent and I really enjoyed the gameplay, even when replaying levels dozens of times for 5 star ratings as they only take a couple minutes tops. Even though this game is hard it builds the difficulty up really well, starting with weak and simple enemies while you learn how to use the not so great aiming system, slowly introducing new tougher enemies and concepts throughout the game while also giving you the information before the level so you can choose your weapon as needed. The trophies in this game are mostly simple and encourage replaying certain levels in a different way which is always appreciated but the last three are what will stop someone from getting the platinum. First you need to 5 star all missions which wouldn't be too bad but the game is really unclear on what gets you 5 stars as it seems to be based on time, accuracy and headshot accuracy with no indication of what's good for the level you're working on so you just have to replay until you go fast and the wonky aiming decided you did get a headshot when you aimed for it. Next is a deathless run which isn't that bad as long as you use the exploit to quit mission before you respawn. The last trophy for me was the speedrun trophy which normally I enjoy but this one asked for 1 hour without quitting the game. This doesn't sound so bad but the 1 hour is real time so loading times count against it, selecting a mission takes more of the time and you can't even pause the game as the timer keeps going. I lost a couple runs by minutes due to real life things causing me to have to pause for a few minutes, but overall a fun game that deserves its difficulty rating. 1/10 - Toem - Kids (1/1/23) 2/10 - Knowledge is Power - Quiz/Trivia (1/3/23) 3/10 - Minecraft - 4X (1/3/23) 4/10 - Lawn Mowing Simulator - Non-fiction (1/8/23) 5/10 - Thief - Stealth (1/20/23) 6/10 - Demon's Souls - Horror (1/29/23) 7/10 - Catherine: Full Body - Romance (2/3/23) 8/10 - Prototype - Hack and slash/Beat 'em up (2/22/23) 9/10 - Deadbolt - Thriller (3/5/23) 10/10 - Jump King - Indie Badges:
  3. Somewhere in the rules in the first post Rebourne does say you can't substitute higher difficulties for lower ones but if you can find a guide that rates them lower like the one below for Hollow Knight it should count and will get you the Masochist badge. https://psnprofiles.com/guide/8080-hollow-knight-trophy-walkthrough
  4. January Completion Demon's Souls (PS5) January 29th, 2023 February Completion Catherine: Full Body February 3, 2023 Prototype February 22, 2023 One more game completed in February with Prototype. I had a lot of nostalgia going in to replaying this game and it didn't quite live up to expectation but it was still an enjoyable ride. This was technically considered a remaster but all they really did was up the resolution, which really showed how bad some of the characters look and hurt the performance when large mobs are on screen. Visuals aside though, the core gameplay is fun and offers a decent variety of powers and abilities with upgrades that can help you focus on your favourite powers. The story of the game won't blow you away but it's enough to keep you interested and the extra lore given with the web of intrigue really help fill out and expand the motivations behind the characters. Probably my favourite part of the game though was going for all the platinum event medals again, they offer challenging but fair scores to beat and most of them offer slightly different limitations meaning you can't rely on one method and have to learn each power and the best way to use it to succeed.
  5. Small update adding Prototype as my white. I had fun with this game but they put no effort on the PS4 release to where they didn't even fix the glitches(Though I'm thankful as that made the 3 playthroughs a lot quicker). Platinuming all the events again in this game was fun and with it mostly testing different abilities in different scenarios it keeps the grind interesting, the collectibles however, with no fast travel and limited tracking made getting all of those again a bit of a pain @DrBloodmoney I think you missed my sign-up as I don't see my name on the participant list.
  6. Prototype (PS4) is complete getting me silver tier and two more badges (Old School, One Trick Pony). Although it didn't hold up to my nostalgia expectations I still really enjoyed the mindless mayhem of this game. 1/10 - Toem - Kids (1/1/23) 2/10 - Knowledge is Power - Quiz/Trivia (1/3/23) 3/10 - Minecraft - 4X (1/3/23) 4/10 - Lawn Mowing Simulator - Non-fiction (1/8/23) 5/10 - Thief - Stealth (1/20/23) 6/10 - Demon's Souls - Horror (1/29/23) 7/10 - Catherine: Full Body - Romance (2/3/23) 8/10 - Prototype - Hack and slash/Beat 'em up (2/22/23) 9/10 - Deadbolt - Thriller 10/10 - Jump King - Indie Badges:
  7. I'm going to add a couple more games to my list before I go over the 33% in Hogwarts Legacy (27%) and Cuphead DLC The Delicious Last Course. Also, in the OP you put me down for Unravel but it should have been Unravel 2.
  8. This looks like a really interesting event and I'd love to sign up for it. Below are the platinums I've gotten so far this year that I think will fit in with the colours. If there are any issues with my choices I'm open to hear them.

  10. @BlazzingWind Getting gold on everything added at least 15 hours probably more before I finished and without being able to fully tune out and watch something while doing it made it even worse. For the Babel stages I didn't have too much issues on the first two and did them with one controller, the third stage I needed the second controller as I was not even getting near the end, it took a while but I always felt I was getting closer, honestly I think I just got really lucky and when I beat it I was just blessed by RNG. The final stage was awful though, never came close to doing it by actually trying to solve it, I ended up getting to a point where I'd climb up the first 10 or 20 steps quickly so I had some room from the bottom and pushed every block off until there was only one block to climb and every time more blocks fell only a few would connect to anything and I'd just do it again, maybe two blocks if it connected nicely. Around the last 5-10 blocks needed to climb I let it expand so I could actually arrange blocks to reach the end and still needed to take a picture to have enough time to find a path to the end. If you managed it on the PS3 it should be easier for you if you ever go back for this version as you get three uses of the item that lets you jump two blocks giving you a little margin of error.
  11. January Completion Demon's Souls (PS5) January 29th, 2023 February Completion Catherine: Full Body February 3, 2023 Finished my first platinum in February and managed to make it my 10,000th trophy while I was at it. The story and gameplay are a lot of fun but the grind on a few of these trophies drags the whole experience down. It's a great game to play but a nightmare to complete. I'd also like to add 2 more games to my list: Jump King (0%) and PowerWash Simulator (12%) Active Neurons 2 - 29% Ape Escape - 57% Bleed - 0% Deadbolt - 0% Death Squared - 0% Demon's Souls (PS3) - 1% (Will be played over two months after PS5 version) Dirt 5 - 13% Disco Elysium - 0% Full Throttle - 0% God of War Chains of Olympus - 24% God of War: Ragnarok - 21% Hot Wheel: Unleashed - 11% L A Noire - 20% Prototype (PS4) - 0% Rogue Legacy - 11% Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice - 0% Sifu - 0% Unravel 2 - 0% Wuppo - 1% Zero Time Dilemma - 14%
  12. A couple more games completed and I now qualify for the bronze tier with 5 badges outlined in the spoiler tag, I've also swapped Bleed out for Jump King as my 10/10. I started playing Demon's souls over a decade ago and could never get past the Tower Knight and without this challenge probably wouldn't have played the remake at all. Boy am I glad I did though, this game was a blast for my first soulsbourne game. Every time I'd get stuck on something challenging it never felt unfair which can be a tough balance to get right, even the trophies for this game never overstayed their welcome. Ultimately my favourite game so far this year edging out Thief and I'll be going back to the PS3 version later to play it again. Completing Catherine: Full body really is a tale of two halves (maybe thirds with one of the challenges being a bit different and some people will like it and some won't). I'll start with the good which was the story, it's not some super deep story you'll ponder for weeks but it is a lot of fun and all the different endings are mostly ridiculous but still entertaining in its own way. The core gameplay is really enjoyable and can really get you thinking of all the different ways you can make a level work and builds to the harder levels in a satisfying way throughout. Unfortunately once you beat the story and get some of the endings comes the bad part of completing the game, some of the trophies being a boring grind that you have to still focus on. To complete this you have to get a gold trophy on every stage on all 6 difficulties, although the levels change slightly between each one they are mostly the same and focus on similar skills with tight restrictions on how many points you can lose. You also need to get through 128 levels of the same kind of puzzles except on an arcade machine and somehow it loses the fun that the main game has which really drags down the fun the game had before going for trophies. Last we have the Babel stages which I enjoyed but can be a frustrating last hurdle to the platinum for some, it greatly increases the difficulty and makes the levels have random elements so you can't follow a guide like the rest of the game but you feel accomplished once you finally find your way through the stages. Catherine overall is a great game to experience and see some of the endings, I'm glad I made it's platinum my 10,00th trophy but if you want to complete it the last 20 hours can really drag on. 1/10 - Toem - Kids (1/1/23) 2/10 - Knowledge is Power - Quiz/Trivia (1/3/23) 3/10 - Minecraft - 4X (1/3/23) 4/10 - Lawn Mowing Simulator - Non-fiction (1/8/23) 5/10 - Thief - Stealth (1/20/23) 6/10 - Demon's Souls - Horror (1/29/23) 7/10 - Catherine: Full Body - Romance (2/3/23) 8/10 - Prototype - Hack and slash/Beat 'em up 9/10 - Deadbolt - Thriller 10/10 - Jump King - Indie
  13. Managed to sneak a completion in for January, finished demon souls for the PS5. Had a ton of fun completing the remake after having given up on the original a decade ago, even having to replay most of it in NG+ was great now that I had more experience, higher stats and better equipment to fly through the bosses with. 14. This looks like a lot of fun and I'd like to sign up, below is my starter list. Sorry if this has been asked already but I couldn't find an answer, in April and August is the limit for adding games over 33% also 3 per time you change the list or is it only three games the whole event? 15. Finished Thief for my 5/10 and had a lot of fun with it. I'm not usually big on stealth games and that was evident my first playthrough where I just killed everything I saw to make looting and challenges easier. However, the second playthrough I had to do with modifiers meant I actually had to play stealthy and it really forces you to rethink each area and the best way to get around each person. Excited to also be nearing the end of my first playthrough of demons souls (PS5) so hopefully I can clean that up in the next week or so. 1/10 - Toem - Kids (1/1/23) 2/10 - Knowledge is Power - Quiz/Trivia (1/3/23) 3/10 - Minecraft - 4X (1/3/23) 4/10 - Lawn Mowing Simulator - Non-fiction (1/8/23) 5/10 - Thief - Stealth (1/20/23) 6/10 - Demon's Souls - Horror 7/10 - Catherine: Full Body - Romance 8/10 - Prototype - Hack and slash/Beat 'em up 9/10 - Deadbolt - Thriller 10/10 - Bleed - Shooter
