  1. Update #2: The last two DLCs for New Vegas are done. My courier - named Frederick because I lack imagination and love the name - traversed Zion, killing horrendously mutated wildlife and White Legs alike, and then navigated the Lonesome Road while pondering on his nation-building - and consequently, destroying - actions throughout the main game. At times, I felt under-leveled, albeit Frederick was a beast at lvl 48 near the end. The DLCs’ new weapons and outfits unlocked after completing each felt like worthy additions to Frederick’s arsenal. As someone who never played the DLC when they originally released, I loved the way the characters and settings added additional character-building for my courier and his legacy in the Mojave. It's said war - war never changes. Men do, through the roads they walk. And this road - has reached its end. 2. Update #7 With only a month and a half left until the event is over, I’m happy to report I’ve completed two more games, and made progress in a couple others. I finished Rain and Fallout: New Vegas, spending more than 77 hours in the latter. I didn’t 100% the game as efficiently as possible, but spent a considerable amount of time meandering through the mojave and exploring the DLC, three of which were new to me. Despite the countless crashes and frame drops, the game still stands as one of the best in my opinion. I also picked up Sonic Generations again, but playing it on PSNow makes it more difficult than it needs to be, so I’ll probably skip it altogether. Instead, I’ll use the remaining time to either work on Dragon Age II or inFamous.
  3. Update #1: I’m quite happy with what I’ve accomplished in the first week of this year’s Fall/ Winter Backlog Challenge. I earned the few trophies left needed for Fallout: New Vegas’s plat, my 75th overall. While the game isn’t difficult per se, the challenge comes from how often my game needs to be restarted due to unexpected crashes. There were times the game would crash without warning, and other times it’d reach <10 frames per second before freezing up. I could go all session without a single freeze, and other days, I needed to restart my PS3 multiple times to complete a single quest. I played through the Dead Money and Old War Blues DLC, the latter being for the first time, and completed enough challenges to 100% the Gun Runners’ Arsenal DLC, thankfully. I’ve just started Honest Hearts, a story-based DLC set in Zion National Park, a place I know and love to hike IRL. I’m excited to continue my Fallout journey, hoping to finish both of the remaining DLC’s before my next update. 4. Dang, that's one beautiful badge @Spacey Dweeb! Super excited to display it on my profile (my first event badge!) And I agree with what others have stated: GBN is a classic I'll be eagerly waiting for every year. Thanks for hosting, @eigen-space!
  5. I didn’t make as much percentage progress as I initially wanted in August. I started the month strong, finishing up Mass Effect: Legendary Edition and PvZ: Battle for Neighborville. The latter had been looming over my list for nearly two years. I also attempted to work on Sonic Generations, a game my partner started on PSNow years before my trophy hunting began. I swiftly gave up on it; Sonic just isn’t my jam, especially with how janky it is while streaming. What really tanked my progress - albeit I’m still positive this month - was starting two trophy list behemoths: Fallout: New Vegas and Ghost of Tsushima. I plan to continue both of those games this month, and hopefully reach my completion goal before the end of September. As always, thanks for the data and update every month @Squirlruler!
  6. Final update before the event officially begins. This may be overly ambitious for me, but with six months and a good list of games, I want to take them all on! I may even add some more during the holiday sales 😁 Red = Haven’t started Green = Some progress Blue = Completed 100% Assassins Creed Origins - 31% Astro's Playroom Dragon Age II - 20% Darksiders Warmastered Edition - 7% Fallout New Vegas - 44% Far Cry 3: Classic Edition - 37% Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon God of War inFamous - 24% Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) Nexoman: Extinction Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition - 33% The Sims 3 Undertale Swaps (0/5)
  7. Update #6: I finished Rain, an atmospheric journey that was more reminiscent of a children’s book than a video game at times. The collectibles were unnecessary but too few to really be a nuisance. And with that, I’ve 100% my summer backlog list! Nothing was terribly difficult to complete, and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed most of my time with them. As always, thanks for hosting @MidnightDragon ; it’s been a pleasure reading everyone’s updates and progress reports. On to finalizing my beefy backlog list for the Fall/ Winter Challenge. Red = Haven’t started Green = Progress made Blue = Completed 100% 1. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 2. Maneater (PS5) 3. Mass Effect (PS4) 4. Mass Effect 2 (PS4) 5. Mass Effect 3 (PS4) 6. 8. Update #5: Since my last update, I completed Mass Effect: Legendary Edition with two final playthroughs for ME2 and ME3 on Insanity. Both required only a few days to finish. Most of my free time this month was spent working on games not in the challenge though - PvZ: Battle for Neighborville and Fallout: New Vegas. The latter is my #75 milestone plat that I plan to work on in the Fall/ Winter Challenge. I’ll be swapping out my final game (Oxenfree) for Rain, so I don’t reach my milestone early. Red = Haven’t started Green = Progress made Blue = Completed 100% 1. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 2. Maneater (PS5) 3. Mass Effect (PS4) 4. Mass Effect 2 (PS4) 5. Mass Effect 3 (PS4) 6. 9. Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville All 51 Trophies 20th August 2021 • Platinum in 1 year, 7 months Happy to finally have this one out of my backlog! I’ve surprisingly always enjoyed the PvZ shooters, but BFN quickly wore out its welcome while earning the last few single player trophies in 2019. Nothing is terribly difficult about the platinum, but the time commitment to “master” 20 characters felt insurmountable at the time. I found using the 10,000 XP purchasable every 24 hours to level up the characters I didn’t enjoy and then playing PVP against the hardest bots in private matches to be the best XP farming method for me, glitching aside. Overall, I spent 131 hours in Neighborville - half of that this past month - to earn the platinum.
  10. 4,126 as of now, but my goal is to have less than 4,000 by the end of the year (which would be easy if I'd just stop starting new games and work on my backlog exclusively).
  11. Count me in, please! (Percentages may change, as I'm currently working on New Vegas; I'll update this post before the event starts.) 12. Update #3: And with that, I’ve completed my first GBN event! Overall, I finished some great games I really enjoyed (Edith Finch, A Plague Tale, Mass Effect) and knocked off a few more from my backlog. Thanks for hosting @eigen-space and @Jens, and for creating a kickass badge @Spacey Dweeb! 0 - Mass Effect Legendary Edition 1 - Mass Effect (PS4) 2 - A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5) 3 - More Dark (NA) 4 - LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 5 - What Remains of Edith Finch (NA) 6 - Maneater (PS5) 7 - The Walking Dead (PS3) 8 - Mass Effect 3 (PS4) 9 - Mass Effect 2 (PS4)
  13. July Update July has been a fairly productive month, all things considered. I started - and subsequently completed - five games, the longest being Mass Effect 3. I also autopopped my first game: Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. In between playing the new additions, I finally cleaned up a couple of older games, including Gone Home and LEGO Batman 2. The most difficult part being the motivation needed to replay games from the backlog. With all the progress I made, adding a large trophy list like Fallout: New Vegas didn’t even dent my percentage increase this month. Original Starting PCG: 47.41% Last Month’s PCG: 53.41% July PCG: 54.65% (+1.24%) 2021 Goal: 55%
  14. Update #4: Since my last update, I started and completed both The Walking Dead and A Plague Tale: Innocence. As far as telltale games go, The Walking Dead is my absolute favorite, and was my first platinum when I transferred over to the PS4 in 2015. And as much as I enjoyed replaying The Walking Dead, I enjoyed A Plague Tale even more. Wow. As the big sister in my family, I felt immediately invested in Amicia’s story and guardianship of Hugo. It felt like the macabre cousin to Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, darker both environmentally and tonally… Next up: playing through Mass Effect 2 on Insanity. Red = Haven’t started Green = Progress made Blue = Completed 100% 1. LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes 2. Maneater (PS5) 3. Mass Effect (PS4) 4. Mass Effect 2 (PS4) 5. Mass Effect 3 (PS4) 6. Mass Effect: Legendary Edition - 80% 7. Oxenfree 8. The Walking Dead (PS3) 9. What Remains of Edith Finch 10. A Plague Tale: Innocence (PS5) Swaps (0/2)
  15. Update #6 Nothing too major since my last update. I’ve managed to finish LEGO Batman 2: DC Super Heroes and The Walking Dead. I’ve always loved telltale games, the first season of The Walking Dead being my absolute favorite (and my first platinum). It was such a joy to replay it for the first time in years. I’ve also recently started Fallout: New Vegas, aiming to make it plat #75. (I’ll be removing LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga from my list because it has no trophy list to clear.)
