  1. It’s been a few months since my last update; my lack of overall percentage progress has deterred me. Part of my trophy stagnation is due to events outside of gaming, part of it’s due to what games have truly piqued my interest this past spring/ summer. Between starting a few time-sinks (Returnal, Demon’s Souls, The Outer Worlds, etc.) and returning to backlog games for the odd trophy here and there, my completion percentage has only increased 2.71% total. Thankfully, with GBN well under way, I think I can still reach my ultimate goal of 65% before the end of the year. Next up on my to-play list: finishing TLOU Remastered for plat #100.
  2. Maneater All 45 Trophies 26th July 2022 • Completed in 1 year, 2 months Happy to keep the backlog streak going with this one. I'd definitely recommend buying the DLC on sale though, it's super short and more of the same.
  3. I would love to participate this year! Will need to scour through my backlog to make a tentative list, but that's always part of the fun.
  4. The Outer Worlds All 69 Trophies 19th June 2022 • Completed in 2 years, 6 months Finally finished up the last missable story missions for the plat and played through the DLC. I enjoyed the latter more than the base game, especially Murder On Eridanos. Who knew assuming the role of a third-party inspector looking into the murder of Halcyon’s brightest starlet would be this fun?
  5. Went ahead and finished off the remaining DLC trophy to keep my streak alive. I was hoping to at least finish The Outer Worlds platinum before the end of May, but travel and a newly acquired Switch has kept me away from my console. It's on my list for next month though. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim All 76 Trophies 19th May 2022 • Completed in 6 months, 6 days
  6. Update #2 Filled up a few more tiles with Gris (That gives you the feels), Returnal (Side-scrolling or Bullet Hell), and The Outer Worlds (Favorite Genre). I still need to finish quite a bit of side content to 100% the latter though. Slowly but surely, I’m working my way to my first BINGO.
  7. Completed my (arguably) two most difficult plats, with only a couple of easy ones/ TLOU left on my list. 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) 3/10 - Horizon Forbidden West (PSNP) 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) 7/10 - Dragon Age: Inquisition (PlatPrices) 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) 9/10 - Returnal (PlatPrices) 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  8. Assassin's Creed II All 51 Trophies 6th April 2022 • Platinum in 5 years, 2 months Forgot to update when I cleaned this one up.
  9. Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout All 35 Trophies 17th March 2022 • Platinum in 1 year, 7 months Didn't think I'd ever 100% this game since I skipped the infamous exploit, but thanks to the recent LTMs, I finally have my first UR plat.
  10. Update #1 I finally have my first couple of games on the board, and I’m really happy with them! I platinumed both Bloodborne (Frightening/ Horror) and Horizon Forbidden West (Originally Released In 2022). I’ve enjoyed the stories in both, favoring the former by just a bit. I’ve been cleaning up a few games that don’t qualify for this challenge, but I should have more story completions on the horizon.
  11. Horizon Forbidden West is now knocked off my list. Definitely think a 3/10 difficulty rating is accurate, as the trophy list is very similar to the first game's. 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) 3/10 - Horizon Forbidden West (PSNP) 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) 7/10 - Dragon Age: Inquisition (PlatPrices) 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) 9/10 - Back 4 Blood (PSNP) 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  12. Update #7: I didn’t end up making more progress in this event since the last update. I spent the rest of February working on an Ultra Hard playthrough of Horizon Zero Dawn before Forbidden West released, and then started the latter. Even though I didn’t complete my backlog list, I’m happy with the overall progress I made. I completed games I never thought I would, and revisited some of my all-time favorites. I’m taking a break from the backlog for a little while and, consequently, skipping the Spring Backlog Event, for the first time since I started participating in events. But I’m rooting for you guys and reading updates when I can. As always, thanks for hosting @MidnightDragon. Until the next one. Red = Haven’t started Green = Some progress Blue = Completed 100% Assassins Creed Origins Astro's Playroom Bloodborne Celeste Dragon Age II Fallout New Vegas Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon God of War Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Skyrim (PS5) - 76% Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition The Sims 3 Undertale Swaps (3/5)
  13. I was unable to submit my February games via the official form before the end of the month, so if they don't count for the streak, I apologize. But if they do, I'm still going for this year's streak @Gretchen27. Horizon Zero Dawn All 79 Trophies 16th February 2022 • Completed in 4 years, 11 months Dragon Age: Inquisition All 70 Trophies 3rd February 2022 • Completed in 5 years, 10 months I mopped up the few remaining Trespasser DLC needed for Dragon Age Inquisition and finally went back for the Ultra Hard playthrough of Horizon Zero Dawn before Forbidden West released. The latter would count to continue my 2022 backlog streak (if allowed), as I had submitted the Dragon Age Inquisition platinum last month.
  14. Update #6: Only a few weeks left in the challenge, and I have 3.5 games to complete; it’s safe to assume I won’t be able to 100% this backlog challenge unfortunately. Since my last update I completed Dragon Age II and Bloodborne. For a while, I was stuck on the chalice dungeons for the latter, and decided I’d take a few weeks to clear another game from my backlog (but not a part of this event). After reading about a chalice glyph that’d allow me to bypass defiled amygdala, my desire to complete the game was reinvigorated; I ended up seeing the final ending, acquiring all weapons, killing the queen, and playing through the entire DLC within a couple days. Slaying the Orphan of Kos on my fourth attempt was the icing on top. Red = Haven’t started Green = Some progress Blue = Completed 100% Assassins Creed Origins Astro's Playroom Bloodborne Celeste Dragon Age II Fallout New Vegas Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon God of War Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Skyrim (PS5) - 76% Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition The Sims 3 Undertale Swaps (3/5)
  15. February Update #1 I’ve already earned a few points while cleaning up Dragon Age: Inquisition. 1) Nabbed a couple of UR trophies with the Trespasser DLC; and 2) completed the DLC for a game I already had platted previously. I also completed a PS+ game (Bloodborne), finishing the DLC this evening. In summation, I’ve already earned 3 points this month, making it vastly more successful than January.
  16. Bloodborne is platted (though I still need to complete the DLC). As someone new to FromSoft games, I hope Bloodborne gets a sequel, a remaster, AND a movie deal. Wow, I finally get the hype. 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) 3/10 - Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy (PSNP) 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) 7/10 - Dragon Age: Inquisition (PlatPrices) 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) 9/10 - Back 4 Blood (PSNP) 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  17. Monthly Update: January Starting: 58.61% Goal: 65% Current: 59.04% (+0.43%) I’ve only completed one monthly goal for January, earning a trophy on every system I own: Dragon Age II (PS3); Bloodborne (PS4); Skyrim (PS5). I also earned the platinum in Dragon Age: Inquisition, a game played for another community event, but I still need a few Trespasser DLC trophies (another 15 or so hours of gaming). On a positive note, I didn’t start any new games, which is a feat I’ve rarely (if ever) accomplished since beginning my trophy hunting journey. Although earning points is a secondary goal for me, I aim to complete more monthly goals in February. Total Points Earned: 1
  18. Book Lover’s Day (Nov. 6) - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim You can collect so many, many things in Skyrim. For an adventurer who has every dragon priest mask, daedric artifact, and wheel of cheese in the nine holds, there’s only one thing left to do: acquire a library worth of lore and books to sift through as my personal bard plays one of three songs over and over. Which is what I do every time I create a new character in Skyrim. No matter the build, they’re always insatiable readers. King’s Day (Holiday celebrated in Europe) - Dragon Age: Inquisition Dragon Age: Inquisition is a vast game with powerful NPCs using their influence to outmaneuver the inquisitor (i.e. playable character). The nobility consists of royal families, empresses, and - what matters for this holiday challenge - kings. FREE SPACE (Nov. 31) - Dragon Age II And with that, I've completed as much as I will for this event. Congrats to every one who's made progress for charity! Final board:
  19. Knocked off a couple of Dragon Age games. Now, back to Bloodborne 😤 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) 3/10 - Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy (PSNP) 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) 7/10 - Dragon Age: Inquisition (PlatPrices) 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) 9/10 - Back 4 Blood (PSNP) 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  20. Happy to have the platinum for this one finally. I wasn't sure I'd ever be down for finishing the game on nightmare, but playing Bloodborne recently has made me more confident with difficulty. I plan to 100% the game at some point, but it requires finishing the end game DLC and at least one more partial playthrough, and I'm a little dragon-aged out at the moment. Fingers crossed I can keep the backlog streak going this year for the first time! Dragon Age: Inquisition 63 of 70 Trophies 30th January 2022 • Platinum in 5 years, 10 months
  21. Update #5: I guess this is becoming an update once a month challenge for me, not from lack of progress, but time. (I'm resolved to changing that in these last two months of challenge; catching up on updates is a whole day activity now.) Since my last update in November, I’ve completed Celeste, Miles Morales (for those holiday feels), and made some significant progress in Skyrim, platinuming it just last night. Most of my free time in December was spent starting - and subsequently floundering through - my first FromSoft game: Bloodborne. I’m not a skilled gamer by any means, and I’ve always been deterred by difficulty, but I cannot put this game down! I may regret this immeasurably, but I want to add it to my list, swapping it out with inFamous. Honestly, if I can 100% this game before the end of the challenge, I’ll be ecstatic. Red = Haven’t started Green = Some progress Blue = Completed 100% Assassins Creed Origins Astro's Playroom [SWAP] Bloodborne - 35% Celeste Dragon Age II - 91% Fallout New Vegas Far Cry 3: Classic Edition Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon God of War Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales (PS4) Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart Skyrim (PS5) - 11% ➡️ 76% Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition The Sims 3 Undertale Swaps (3/5)
  22. Happy to have my first platinum down for the event! Luckily, I only needed a couple of days to clean up some misc side quests, the dark brotherhood quest line, and find all daedric artifacts. Oh, and get married to Lydia for the tenth time. I never understood the difficulty rating for this game, but I also never venture away from dominating as an OP stealth archer so.. 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) 3/10 - Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy (PSNP) 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) 7/10 - Mass Effect: Andromeda (PlatPrices) 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) 9/10 - Back 4 Blood (PSNP) 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  23. Haven't posted in a while, but I've made a bit of progress and wanted to update! Do Something Nice Day (Oct. 5) - Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Do Something Nice Day is about performing acts of service for strangers and loved ones in hopes of making the world a little better. Spider-Man not only embodies this holiday by always being kind when faced with adversity, the side missions in this game have Miles Morales doing good deeds for his NYC neighbors. Wright Brothers Day (Dec. 17) - Celeste Let’s celebrate Wright Brothers Day with a 2D platformer that utilizes flight - really extended dashing - as the main tool for overcoming obstacles and completing levels. Dongzhi Festival (Holiday celebrated in Asia) - Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition The Dongzhi Festival is centered around the yin and yang philosophy and finding balance and harmony in everyday life. Sleeping Dogs is about an undercover cop who has to manage his desire to follow the law and need to infiltrate Hong Kong’s toughest triad. A key struggle for the protagonist Wei Shen is finding the balance between both lives. I should be able to cross off a couple more games before the end of the event, but sadly, I won't be able to complete the whole board, like I'd hoped.
  24. This event works well with the other ones I'm participating in, so I'd love to join. I'll probably change a few around as the year progresses, but my tentative list is as follows: ❎ 1/10 - Virginia (PlatPrices) ❎ 2/10 - Life Is Strange 2 (PSNP) ❎ 3/10 - Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy (PSNP) ❎ 4/10 - Dragon Age II (PSNP) ❎ 5/10 - The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (PSNP) ❎ 6/10 - The Last Of Us Remastered (PlatPrices) ❎ 7/10 - Mass Effect: Andromeda (PlatPrices) ❎ 8/10 - Bloodborne (PSNP) ❎ 9/10 - Back 4 Blood (PSNP) ❎ 10/10 - Fall Guys: Ultimate Knockout (PSNP)
  25. Super late with this update but I wanted to thank @Squirlruler and @kingofbattle8174 for compiling the data and hosting this event, and to this forum as a whole for motivating me all of 2021. I wouldn't have made near as much progress without reading y'all's updates. Personally, I ended up completing all of my gaming goals* for the year (except for staying under 4000 unearned trophies; I dipped below it near the end of the year and then started Skyrim 😬). Congrats to everyone who achieved their goals, made a dent in their backlog, and/ or had fun participating in this event!
