  1. Gonna say, dodging the Alien in Alien Isolation on hard difficulty is not a joke. Or I am just bad at the game. Possibly both :)

@XchocomanX Oh I am always crouched, I swear Ripley's will never need to do another leg day after my playthrough haha

And yeah I heard of that, thanks for advice :) will definitely be using it later, as I am combining it with no killing humans playthrough. Does he kills androids as well btw?

    3. XchocomanX

      XchocomanX

The alien and the androids are buddies. They join forces to throw a super DEADLY party.

      iliya0212

@XchocomanX Well, that is not what I was hoping to hear haha. Have to say, androids are pretty rough too, although I made it harder for myself, because I decided to try sneak by all of them without killing. No ammo used so far, I feel like it's not worth it wasting it on them anyway.

  2. I can't believe I finished the Max Payne 3. All it took is for Rockstar to announce the server closure to actually make me finish that mp grind, but now that it's behind me I can say that it is by far the hardest but most satisfying platinum trophy I've ever got.

    So, platinum #75 - Max Payne 3 :)

  3. Well, got my platinum in Ratchet and Clank Rift Apart, amazing game, totally worth playing!

But the trophy list, I don't know about that..

I know it sounds silly to complain, but it was too easy and had one annoying trophy. What's up with the challenge mode? Why provide the map to all the collectibles if I don't need to collect all of them (I did it anyway, bugged me not to).

I don't mind easy platinum trophies, I really don't. Spider-Man trophy list - amazing, same goes for Miles Morales. In this game I think they lowered the bar too much, it is a full AAA release after all.

  4. In celebration of Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart coming out I made a couple wallpapers :D

  5. Anyone can give me advice on data recovery?

OBS crushed on mid recording forcing me do a hard reset, after that I lost access to my hard drive. It's uninitialized and I can't start with initialization (get an error), so can't even start data recovery with any software.. It's on status - unknown, not even showing disk size.

Have around 3TB worth of footage I've been saving for future projects, would really suck to lose it :|

Have you tried to see if cables are losed? or gone bad?

I had a cable once cracking as it aged in material and caught fire enough to melt my harddrive pin connection rendering it useless unless i pay big money for a pro to openit up and change complete housing. Not worth it, I lost over 10000+ illegal mp3s....

      iliya0212

@OhDearDevilRunThank you for your advice, I do appreciate all the help I can get!

I actually have an adapter that I can use to connect SATA drives via USB, so I did try that, but unfortunately same thing, so it's a HDD issue :(

Still have hopes of maybe finding solutions online, but so far nothing worked, which is not the end of the world for me, but I am really salty about the lost footage.

@SnowxSakura Yeah, I actually have a NAS with a hot-swap drive I use for this most of the time, but because I tried something new and wasn't planning on using this footage anytime soon I risked it to save space. Didn't pay off this time I guess.

  6. So I made a couple of wallpapers in case anyone is interested.

I kind of learned a little of photo editing by myself recently, and although they are not perfect I am pretty happy with them.

The theme is a game + a platinum trophy, as we are trophy hunters here :)

They were made as a thumbnails for YT, I just cleaned-up the text so they could be used as wallpapers. I actually have more if anyone is interested.

Would love to get some feedback from more seasoned professionals here.

  7. The Last of Us is my favorite game of all time, and I finally made a proper review for it from a trophy hunter perspective.

Honestly this is the platinum trophy I enjoyed the most because of my love for this game :)

  8. Another 2 Projects on the way (one is actually already done) :)

I honestly never thought I am going to have so much fun making videos!

  10. Alright, platinum review for Mafia Definitive Edition is live!

After finally finishing this game this week I decided to make it my 6th entry in my Platinum Review series. Honestly a great game and a fun platinum if you don't mind the Classic difficulty :)

  11. So, rally vr simulator is finally completed.

Have to say, getting a PlaySeat was a game changer, so excited!!

@enaysoft It's actually at my friends place (we bought the kit together), but regardless, he had a leaking water pipe in the wall there, so it started to get moldy. Cleaned it up but still need to repaint it.

@enaysoft To be fair it happend once with SuperHot VR when he accidently punched the tv off the wall. Still have a scratch on my PS4 from where it fell on it. The TV surprisingly didn't break btw xD

  12. Any tips for someone who is experiencing a bit of a burnout?

I was trophy hunting like my life depended on it when I started, and got 70 platinum trophies in 9 months, but for around two weeks I just don't seem to want to start any new game or even touch my PlayStation for that matter.. I mean I still game, just can't find an energy to start something new. Just keep looking at my backlog and can't force myself to commit to anything.

Even my last couple of platinums were basically really easy ones because I just couldn't make myself to start a decent game.

Like I know I could take a break for a week or two, just a bit worried that it could become permanent if I do so..

@iliya0212 Works for me when burnout beckons.

In terms of recommendations, I’m not a great source for survival games, as that’s not really my genre, but I do love a rogue-like.

My absolute favourite for this would be Invisible Inc - an amazing tactical roguelike (which if you have been psplus for a while, you might have in your library already) - I have a little write-up on my status updates gushing about it if you want some light reading ☺️

Other than that one though - Rogue Legacy and Dead Cells would both fit the bill (roguelike platformers) and are both excellent, I’m playing Void Bastards right now, which is pretty good (that one is a roguelike FPS), and I’ve heard some great things about Curse of the Dead Gods and Enter the Gungeon, (both roguelike dungeon crawlers) though I haven’t started either one of those... yet ;)

@DrBloodmoney I am going to be honest, those are not really my type of games, but to each their own :) Thank you for the solid advice!

@funboy1246 I totally understand you, the thing is I really want to continue doing it, I was having such a blast before.

@HaserPL Yeah, I might do that if I don't find a game I actually really excited to play.

Thank you guys for your advice!!

I wish I had the time and money to get this equipment.

Video editing and doing any sort of live streaming has never been my strong suit. If you do livestreams on Twitch or YouTube I'll be sure to check you out.

      Too costly for me.

    2. iliya0212

      iliya0212

I honestly wasn't into it until really recently. I did try some live streaming and found out that wasn't for me, but along the way discovered that I have a lot to say about games that I really passionate about and that I like doing that, so here we are.

I know that most likely I won't ever make any money from it, but I honestly don't care, I just enjoy doing that.

And thanks! If you like that kind of stuff you are more than welcome to check out my YT (in my profile info), but you don't really have to.

As for free time, yeah, it's actually an issue, managed to find the time so far, but we'll see how it goes.

  15. So I am trying out something new for my YouTube channel and I made a platinum review for The Last of Us Part II.

I would really appreciate some feedback and tips, because it's my first try with doing more edited style video.

    Thanks!

I like the straight forward nature to your video. It isn't a 20 something screaming at me or coming off like an over opinionated elitist for the sake of "hype". This also had absolutely no clickbait garbage associated with it which was a huge plus.

The only small thing that I noticed is that when you have the camera on you directly...try to be looking into it and speaking to your audience and not reading it. This helps in connecting with the viewer in this context. The things you were saying while reading though were very good and I appreciated that. It also helps that you're likeable immediately. I liked it.

    2. iliya0212

      iliya0212

@Shua_J Thanks man, really appreciate the honest feedback.

I was really trying to make an eye contact with the camera, but I was messing up constantly, so I had to read some of the script. The fact that I am not an English native speaker was not helping it as well, but I hope to become better at this!

    3. Shua_J

      Shua_J

Yeah...I completely think you should pursue these more. If you're this good in the beginning stages...you'll be outstanding given time to experiment and get comfortable in your own skin with content. Not that you come off as any way uncomfortable...it's just the little things will work themselves out with time.

  16. Managed to get lucky enough and beat Max Payne 3 platinum breaker trophy - The Shadows Rushed me. This was the hardest trophy I ever went for, basically perma-death run of the game with time constraints.

I am so satisfied! now to beat the game 2 more times and mp (just grind) and I have one of the rarest platinums on psnprofiles 😀

Nice one! I gave up on this.. I just don't have the patience nor skill to finish it 😅. The farthest I've reached was chapter 13?14? Can't remember but it was the one at the subway area with the swat-like guys.

So many ways to screw up your progress honestly that may result in insta failure. The slow Mo boat section at around chapter 5, protecting the Brazilian kid (which one time a dude lobbed a grenade at his location..), the building when it's on fire and you've no medkits, the bus section, etc.etc. Really great game but I had to put it to rest.

      With that said, Congrats!

    3. iliya0212

      iliya0212

      @PooPooBlastThank you!

Btw, you definitely have the skill if you made it to chapter 13-14!

Although having said that you are right, you still need to get lucky enough to not insta-fail on one of the sections, I honestly got lucky and succeeded relatively quick.

    4. PooPooBlast

      PooPooBlast

I may try it sometime in the future if time permits. Doubt I will but who knows?? Thanks for the words of encouragement though!

  17. Finished New York Minute in Max Payne 3!

The last chapter was brutal because of time constrains, just kept either dying or running out of time. On my successful attempt I had 12 seconds left after one of the sections, was sure that was another fail.

Now onto the NYM hardcore, wish me luck!

On the other note, if anyone interested to see me panicking there I recorded it :)

You can do it. Just practice the levels that you have the hardest time on New York Minute.

    3. iliya0212

      iliya0212

Oh yeah, that is actually what I did for NYM as well, just found what encounters I had a rough time in and grinded them (chapter select) until I had consistent enough strategy for each one of them. The only chapter that gave me grief regardless was the last one, because time is very limited there.

Also redoing NYM again now just to see where I have the most trouble and then I'll go for it.

      Thank you for the encouragement!

I experienced that same nightmare when I was NYMHC on my PC. It's either the last part, or to some extent, Parts IV and VIII. The former where you have to watch your boat's life, and the latter with Passos getting killed in the second half of Part VIII. :P

  18. Well, it took me 6 months to get from 0 to 50 (mostly) respectable platinums, latest one being Resident Evil 7, which I really enjoyed (like all the other RE games I played so far) :)

  19. :platinum: #44 - Los Santos Legend.. That platinum took away so much of my hours and my sanity! Thankfully there were friends who helped me. Wouldn't be able to do it without you, thank you guys!

  20. Got my platinum #40 for The Last of Us Remastered :platinum:

This game means so much to me, and is probably my favorite game ever made. The first time I found out about it was in 2013 when it first came out. I was 21 years old and was renting an apartment with my ex, didn't own a PS3 and couldn't afford it, so I experienced it the only way I could - by watching a YouTube playthrough.

Later the same year I got my first console ever for my birthday - a super slim PS3, and of course the first game I ever played on it was Last of Us. Years have gone by and my financial situation got much better and in 2018 I picked up a new PS4 Pro, and with it The Last of Us Remastered, but at that time I was busy and almost didn't game at all.

In march this year I got sent to unpaid vacation because of the pandemic, so suddenly I need to fill my time with something so I would not loose my mind, so I got back to gaming, originally PC gaming, but when Part II came out I went right in and got my first ever platinum, experience which spiraled out into becoming a trophy hunter.

There was no doubt in my mind if there is any game I need to eventually complete, it is this one, but at the time I wasn't sure that I can actually pull this off, so I just played the single player for the story again and left it at that. In the end of the year I got confident enough and decided to give it a real try. Now after finishing it I feel both happy and sad that it is over. For sure thought I am gonna play this game a lot more times over the years, because of how it resonates with me on an emotional level.

This game is a masterpiece, and I am thankful to Naughty Dog for my experience.

Yeah, I was worried about it too, but I found a good boosting group so it was fun and painless. Took me about 2 weeks of playing 2-3 hours a day for 5 days a week to complete all the online trophies including dlc, so I highly encourage you to give it a go. It can be a bit grindy but worth in the end :)

  22. The Last of Us Part II finally 100% finished, and just in time for the 2000th trophy milestone!

As someone who loves single-player story driven games I am aware that the story has its issues, but its still a great story in my opinion, and it hits hard even after 4 playthroughs. And to top it all off the gameplay is fun and engaging.

So there is one thing I sure about, I am not done with this game yet!
