  1. Hey guys, here's a little update: NieR: Automata (PS4): 7% Alien: Isolation (PS4): 34% Jump Force (PS4): 20% Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (PS3): 0% -> 94% Arcana Heart 3 (PS3): 31% Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z is not the greatest game, but it's better than I expected, so that's something. I have to say though, the A.I. of your partners is dogshit, plain and simple. They are some of the most useless abominations to ever litter my screen. Trophy wise, grinding PP (hehe) is quite annoying, and having to wait basically 4 weeks to get all the cards from the weekly rotation ain't the greatest, but it's not much of a big deal. Having to play for 50 hours, which only counts the in-game, in-mission time, IS. But, that too will come to pass. Also, I'm probably going to swap out one of the other games for Warhammer 40K: Space Marine for the PS3. Just not sure which one yet... Game seems pretty fun and the online grind is not that much of a hassle. It's the DLC that scares me a little bit... Good luck with your challenges.
  2. An old classmate of mine killed himself about two months ago. Last Sunday I was clearing out my friends list, deleting the ones I don't talk to or don't play with, as I don't like having a clustered list. Came across his profile. I couldn't bring myself to delete it.
  3. Are you serious? How on earth??
  4. Getting Big Boss Rank on MGS2, on E-Extreme with only 6 saves used.
  5. Count me in! ID: RomanPeirs Platinums: 91 UR Platinums: 15 Average: 37,15%
  6. Alright, goddamn it, I'm in. NieR: Automata (PS4): 7% Alien: Isolation (PS4): 34% Jump Force (PS4): 20% Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Z (PS3): 0% Arcana Heart 3 (PS3): 31% Hopefully I can finish all of these, as well as Resident Evil 6 and Skyrim, which are too high (percentage wise) and therefore not an official part of this challenge. Good luck to all of you!
  7. When my old PS3 broke down I bought one from Facebook Marketplace, and some time ago I bought another one to self-boost, also form Marketplace. I'd suggest you look there. The consoles, with 1 or more controllers, all cables and sometimes a few games usually cost about 150€ or so. I'm also thinking of starting GTA IV (as well as Binary Domain), but as is the case with these older games, I get quite nervous that the online will go out before I finish the list, or that the trophies will bug out on me etc. Though, I did manage to do Arcana Heart 3 (Vanilla) and Far Cry 2 without them glitching out on me (and Far Cry 2 is a buggy mess, let me tell you). Still, you might want to try out your connection or get a few super fast trophies on another account that you don't care about trophies, and see whether or not you can handle the grind / connection.
  8. Hey guys, that's it! Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst = 92% = 100% Resident Evil 0 = 100% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime = 100% Splinter Cell: Blacklist (PS3) = 25% = 100% Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 = 92% = 100% All 5 games, 100% and platinumed. And when I started the challenge thought I might not make it... Also, even though I didn't mention anything sooner, I got 100% on Marvel's Spider-Man (PS4) and did all the online and about 75% of the offline for Far Cry 2 (PS3)! Currently contemplating whether or not to start the Fall 2022 Backlog Challenge... The games I want to finish are usually above 33% or 50%. We'll see, I suppose. Thanks for the fun times lads and lassies, good luck with your games.
  9. Strictly from my list, we have: Joke: Jack N' Jill DX Easy: Sly 2: Band of Thieves Normal: Resident Evil 2 Remake Hard: Metal Gear Solid 2 HD Pain: Ultra Street Fighter IV Jack N' Jill DX: (Not that) long ago, before the age of shovelware 2$ platinum trophies, there was this. I am ashamed to have this on my profile, but as it stands it's a joke in terms of difficulty, and also a bit fun to play, for like 10 minutes. Sly 2: Band of thieves: This is my second favorite video game of all time, super fun to play, charismatic characters, interesting story, vibrant worlds to explore and super easy trophies that basically boil down to "finish the game". Resident Evil 2 Remake: This game is simply amazing. Probably the best in the RE series (in my opinion), it is also where things start to get a little hard. Beating it on Hardcore and getting an S Rank are not easy things to do, but I think most people will be able to get this platinum if they try. Metal Gear Solid 2 HD: Another truly amazing game, the attention to detail, graphics and bat-shit crazy story render this a must-play for any gamer out there. The trophies, however, are a different matter. Just beating the game on Extreme difficulty is a gargantuan task, but you not only have to do that, but also beat EVERY Virtual Reality mission. Once you get to MGS1 Snake (the final character of VR, the one with the hardest missions) and you start to play "Eliminate All" missions where you go up against 9 assault troops with an M9 with 2 tranquilizer darts, an empty magazine, a PSG-1 with 3 bullets and an empty Nikita missile launcher, you'll start to rethink how you're meant to play the game. Did you know that if you go into First Person View, aim at a guy's balls and punch, you knock them out right away? Well, that's the sort of stuff you learn when playing these missions. Ultra Street Fighter IV: This is it. Do not attempt this if you're faint of heart. Fighting games are hard, man, and this game's trophies more than prove it. This is like learning to play Chopin on the piano, but using your feet. Some of these trials will test your perseverance, more than anything. Plus there's a nasty grind for the online. And even if you use the Lariat trick to beat most arcade stages on hardest, you still have to beat (at minimum) the worst character: Seth. Fuck Seth.
  10. Hey guys, second update from me: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst = 10% -> 92% Resident Evil 0 = 100% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime = 7% -> 100% Arcana Heart 3 = 31% -> Splinter Cell: Blacklist (PS3) = 25% Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 = 92% Got the Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime plat! Super easy game to plat, had it on my list forever, but never wanted to play it more cause I don't really like games like that. That said, the trophy where you need to kill the Worm Boss while it's head is submerged was a proper headache! Almost done with Naruto Ultimate Ninja Storm 3! I have to say, I like this a lot less than Storm 2... The kawarimi jutsu bar is an awful idea, at least in the previous game you had to time your block button so that it works as a substitution jutsu, and you could do it as long as you had chakra. Also, the fact that you can chakra dash after a kawarimi (almost like a roman cancel - almost) and the enemy can't do much about it sorta ruins it for me. Lastly, the mob battles just don't work. They are some of the worst battles I've ever had the misfortune of suffering through. Finally, I'm going to be using the first (and hopefully only) swap: Arcana Heart 3 is out, Splinter Cell Blacklist is in! That game's servers are going offline this September, so I want to get the platinum while I can. Good luck with your games!
  11. Hey guys, little update from me: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst = 10% Resident Evil 0 = 4% -> 100% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime = 7% Arcana Heart 3 = 31% Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 = 31% -> 92% Got the Resident Evil 0 plat! Not as hard as I thought, though I must say I didn't enjoy the game as much as I enjoyed the remake of the first one. Who in their right mind puts an enemy that instakills you just before the last boss fight of the game? Lost my first no save run to that damn frog. Plus picking up items is a real pain in the ass, you'd think you just stand in front of one and press X but no, you have to be like pixel perfect. Some of the Street Fighter IV trials were easier than picking up items from tables in this game. Also, the hunters and eliminators (the monkeys) can go to hell. Almost done with Raging Blast 2 as well, just gotta grind out the online titles. Should be about 4-5 hours for all of them. This game is still pretty cool, glad I played it again, though some of the battles that start you out with a magic pixel of health can be infuriating, until you find the proper items for them. Overall, I think I'll be able to get this done. I have the week of now and I should be able to finish Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime before the next week. Also, my overall completion is going up! That's always nice! Good luck to all of you.
  12. Hey guys, not sure if this helps any of you looking to get this done, but when I did it, I pretty much followed speedrun strats, I think specifically from the PS4 all chapters category. I ended up basically skipping most of the game. For example, I skipped the interactions with the good doctor completely, skipped most of the prison area as well as the female ward. When I finished the game I had all 10 fingers and a camera with no cracks on the screen. The strats themselves aren't that hard to learn, but they do take practice. Hope this helps, good luck on your runs!
  13. Hello, still May 31st here, can I join? Here are the games I wish to enter with: Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 Full Burst = 10% Resident Evil 0 = 4% Lovers in a Dangerous Spacetime = 7% Arcana Heart 3 = 31% Dragon Ball: Raging Blast 2 = 31% Kinda worried about Arcana Heart 3 and Resident Evil 0, but I think I can manage in time... so long as I don't buy any more games and just focus on these.
  14. Let me post the no-nonsense, definitive list right here: Tekken (PS1) Metal Gear Solid (PS1) Resident Evil 2 (PS1) Silent Hill (PS1) X2: Wolverine's Revenge (PS2 - awful game) It's always nice to conclude a list of games you love with a game you love to hate.
