  1. Finished a first playthrough of TLoU - story and connection you make to Joel and Ellie is superb. Managed to miss a shiv door and a conversation though. :(

  2. I'm troubled by the lack of campaign related trophies. I'm hopeful it's not indicative there is not a strong enough narrative to give the multiplayer objectives context and purpose.
  3. I've been wanting to buy a second PS4, honestly.
  4. 'Murica, deal with it.
  5. Not too fond of stickers, but a magnetic decal would be a cool idea. I'd rock something like that for sure.
  6. First Light done. Now back to Dragon's Crown and finally getting into TLoU.

How did you find the rescue arena challenges in first light? where they hard for you? i seem to be struggling a bit.

    2. dontwaketheKIDS

@Sir_Bee Ok, I'll add you - currently lvl 75-ish Sorc/Dwarf doing couch co-op with my wife, so will be ready for Hard time stuff and Infernal soon. :)

@Eternal Rescue challenges were the toughest for me. I suggest doing Gamma survival first and going back... makes it easier cuz you'll be comfortable handling enemy waves and then it's just a matter of mixing in the rescuing.

  7. #65 inFAMOUS: First Light Noble Achievement Loved it. The arenas are a nice addition and a good change of pace for the franchise - and props for making Deslin playable there as well. I just really hope we see future DLC featuring Eugene.
  8. Cost per hour is a terrible measurement for value in gaming. Just because a game is longer doesn't make it a better value than a shorter game (based on cost equivalent). For me a better metric is cost to enjoyment or overall experience. And I beg to differ about replay value, some folks love climbing leaderboards or besting their friends scores. Add in the ability to play both Alpha and Beta challenges as Deslin, and there's plenty here even after the platinum.
  9. So the jackhole in the lane next to me whilst trying to get my attention for "texting and driving" (I was actually just looking an alert on my phone) hits the car in front of him. lulz

So much death and despair for such a small thing, soon they will probably get implanted in our brains and we will see a big screen in our eyes that will cause even more death. Can't wait

If it was only the dumb killing themselves, then it would not be a problem. We could just write it off as evolution. The problem is that a lot of innocent lives are being lost in the process, that is what makes it so sad :(.

'Write it off as evolution''. Best thing that has been said today :P

  10. Here's my predictions: AFC North Bengals AFC East Patriots AFC West Broncos AFC South Colts AFC Wildcard Dolphins, Ravens NFC North Packers NFC East Eagels NFC West Seahawks NFC South Saints NFC Wildcard Lions, Cardinals Hello, suffering Jacksonville Jaguars fan here, but the future looks bright! Really hoping Bortles get the starting job at some point during the season. I think he'll be special in a year or two and those Luck/Bortles showdowns every year will be fun to watch. He's got some Roethlisberger and Favre to his game that makes him intriguing:
  11. I'll be too busy with the backlog in September to really care what's on IGC.
  12. Your list suggests you like RPGs - as such, I am recommending Dragon's Crown to whoever will listen (it's an entertaining hack-n-slash RPG). I'm currently playing it couch co-op with the wife and online with randoms. It's repetitive at higher difficulties but some good, low pressure fun. And welcome to the site - many good-natured people here. Also, gaming sessions are super helpful getting a group together for MP.
  13. Intrigued. It's been a few years since I've played a console golf game (Links 2004, Xbox, if I recall) but doesn't look like some mechanics have evolved much - i.e. grid putting, shot shaping, etc. Procedurally generated golf courses, the course creator, and tournaments/tours sound like interesting features, however. I have too many other games to play at the moment, but this may be worth picking up down the line.
  14. Forgive me, I'm getting old - what's the 'dood' reference I keep seeing everywhere in reference to?

Was waiting for my SonyRewards points to post so I could exchange it for a $20 PS code.

    3. Rubieno

I never received those points, sucks a lot since it took me about an hour to complete them all :"(

  16. #64 WATCH DOGS 100% Clear I somewhat enjoyed Watch Dogs. I grew tired of the repetitive fixer contracts and disconnect-happy multiplayer (which is a shame because online hacking/tailing had great potential). The campaign was fairly nondescript and I never really connected to Aiden's story. I tend to think of Watch Dogs in terms of what it could have been rather than what it was. There was nothing in the released game that was as stellar as the content I remember being shown at E3. There is some untapped potential here and I would be interested an attempt at a next-gen only sequel. The recent patch makes this plat more accessible to more people as Social Lubricant was most people's only road block. Hats off to you if you got this pre-patch. I like a challenge that requires skill when the controls are tight (Batman: Arkham Asylum immediately comes to mind), but this was something completely different. I think this point is clearly evidenced by their patch notes where they increased "player input factor" by 50%. Glad to be done with this 100% and I don't see a reason to play after obtaining the platinum.
  17. Xbox owners, is Titanfall still pretty popular?

    1. Rubieno

Yeah, Xbots were hyping it up but not so many of them are still playing it

    2. dontwaketheKIDS

Just curious, I hear very little about it nowadays (albeit my circle is mostly in the PS ecosystem).

    3. Saltyie

360 version is dead, xbone is dying, it won't last to the end of year I reckon.

  18. Used Glyde credits to snag Wolfenstein: The New Order. $3.53 out of pocket. Great start to the day!

PS4. Looking forward to it. I respect developers that don't fall into the "let's tack on MP because we can (or we have to)" trap. I'm always down for a good SP experience.

  19. [NA] Sound Shapes Hohokum DLC delayed until 8/26.

    2. SergeantMalon

It'll never come out for NA! Muhahahahaha!

  20. I like (essentially) free triple stacked silver trophies, but it's about time for some death mode DLC.
  21. At this point Sony is just trolling the Vita.
  22. Interested in both Diablo III and Metro Redux, but won't likely purchase either until September or October.
  23. So next, Muramasa Rebirth or Dragon's Crown? Vita version for both most likely.

What those two said even Kisuke says "BUY MURASMA NOW!"

  24. #63 Lone Survivor True Survivor Brilliant game, plays and sounds great on Vita. It's a pretty compelling piece on psychosis and survivor's guilt that I didn't fully expect given it's 2D pixel-art wrapping. I really enjoyed Lone Survivor start to finish.
  25. Enjoying Lone Survivor after 1st playthrough.

    1. dontwaketheKIDS

Sleeper hit for me, for sure. I wish it were longer, but the multiple plays should keep it fresh enough.

    2. daftprophet

I played it for a few minutes the other day...hopefully I'll come back to it.
