  1. Interesting... same release date as Dragon Age Inquisition.
  2. I was sold once I saw it's art/graphics and Grandia II-esque combat system in action. Without having played it, I have a similar "feeling" I did just before Journey was released - that I was about to embark on something uniquely different and undeniably beautiful.
  3. I have one game I'll work on for each system I own and try to mix it up between genres. I've been doing this since I bought my PS4 and it's been keeping me from burning out. For instance, next up for me is Child of Light (PS4), ICO (PS3), and Dokuro (PSV).
  4. Backlog time... ICO then Dishonored, or Dishonored then ICO.

    1. Beyondthegrave07

I'd go ICO first. It's feasible in a day but you'll hate yourself afterwards

Thanks, guide favorited for later reference. :)

  5. #57 Far Cry 3 Mastered the Jungle Great game, absolutely enjoyable start to finish. On the negative side, the co-op story was loosely connected with the main story and public co-op matches had some shortcomings (why can't I select which map I want to join when not the host?). Co-op was otherwise fun and challenging (mostly when trying to cover co-op partners) and I can see myself revisiting co-op even after the platinum. If Far Cry 4 builds on what was accomplished withFar Cry 3, count me in for a day one purchase.
  6. I'm always compelled to determine the maximum height from which I can survive a fall.
  7. I was really hoping Muramasa Rebirth was going to make the NA list for Vita. I am mildly interested in Puppeteer, but outside of that there's not much else I'd play. All good, I'm still playing freebies from months ago.
  8. Everything I want to use my Sony Rewards points on is "sold out".

    1. Precision-Playyy

what u get reward points for?

    2. dontwaketheKIDS

I have the Sony card through Capital One... get reward points on all purchases. 10X points on PS store purchases, so they add up pretty quick.

  9. My current misgivings are more in the direction of Watch Dog's single player campaign, but this certainly renews my hope and enthusiasm overall. Sounds like they are doing some interesting things on the multiplayer front with "drop-in" (which thankfully can be turned off), asymmetrical multiplayer, and integrated companion app.
  10. Just co-op trophies remaining for Far Cry 3 plat.

  11. The kids come home from school with 2 Pokemon cards each and want to learn how to play. WHAT have I gotten myself into?

    1. KitsuneChaos

Pokemon is a bit safer. Had it been Yu-Gi-Oh!, you'd wind up having to spend so much more money having to hunt down "staple" cards.

    2. GarciaFever

I never really understood the rules of playing with Pokemon cards. I find Yugioh much more satisfying.

    3. KitsuneChaos

Yu-Gi-Oh! certainly plays quicker, and each card can stand on their own, but once you get the basics of Pokemon down (and carry around a list explaining the Special Conditions, like a play mat), it becomes a hell of a lot simpler.

That said, I think in the past year, I've amassed at least two or three thousand extra Pokemon cards -- all within the current play format. xD

  12. Looks better on Vita, controls better on PS3.
  13. Clearly I did not, lol. I did check out the archive of the Twitch stream Bethesda did a few days ago and it looked promising, if only single player.
  14. Watch Dogs, for sure. I hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling it's going to be a good game but will fall short of expectations. Just a hunch. And something draws me to Wolfenstein:TNO... it may have something to do with the ridiculous number of hours I spent playing Return to Castle Wolfenstein (beach map, anyone?) multiplayer back in the day. Need to read some previews to decide.
  15. One of the things I love in games - find ancient ruins untouched for centuries... every torch is lit.

    1. MrCostari

I wonder how that merchant managed to get there without getting killed. But she sure picked a smart spot, who doesn't stock up on everything before a boss fight?

    2. madbuk

There are also huge cult groups like in Tomb Raider that have caves and stuff full of torches (i.e the very first area you get control in) I find it amusing to imagine these people walking into a supermarket and asking for a thousand torches. Who knows why.

I laughed the first time I played UC3 when I was running down that alleyway but had to stop because I noticed someone casually tossed away a 2000 year old jewel encrusted cross. Glad no one else noticed it ^_^

  17. #56 inFAMOUS: Second Son Enjoy Your Powers
  18. The WiiU is so far out of relevance this console generation it's not even funny. An afterthought, really. I bought my kids one last Christmas and they've/we've had fun with Super Mario Bros. U, Just Dance 2014... and Donkey Kong Country: TF literally just came in the mail today, so I'm only occasionally buying games for it. I even tried to hip them to some old school games available on the eShop, like Galaga. They spend more time watching Netflix on it than they do playing any of the games I've bought. Meanwhile, they're interested in ANYTHING I'm playing on PS3/PS4/Vita. That said, Nintendo may only have its hardcore fans left... I'm not sure they're gaining new fans at the same rate Microsoft and Sony currently are.
  19. Getting the digital version, but the retail deluxe edition looks amazing. Any word on a trophy set yet?
  20. It's already a blast on Vita (PS4 remote play).
  21. Looking forward to Child of Light later this month.

    1. DarkStar83x

      Same. Preordered it.

    2. BooneJusticius

Same, to both above. It's definitely going to be great.

  22. Child of Light. 2-D JRPG with gorgeous art? Sold.
  23. I have more platinums now than I did this time last year.
  24. Mercenary Kings would be a great port to Vita. Discovered this after a remote play session last night. Felt/looked better on Vita.
