"Farewell, good hunter. May you find your worth in the waking world."

Bloodborne - 20th platinum
The 20-platinum-milestone was reserved to one of those games that have "soul". I gave some thoughts on the game on the Mental Health Event, if you want to check.

Chapter X: These aren't all of them. I've got a skeleTON more!
Platinums:
- Undertale
- Medievil
I'm late, I know. But Undertale is possibly one of the best RPGs I've ever played (and that's quite a few).
The game seems to me a curious mix between an RPG like Mother, a Bullet Hell and a conversational adventure. Taking full advantage of these 3 resources, we get a special game that seeks to surprise at every step to get to the player's potato through its mechanics. It is a title in which all the characters constantly go out of their own schemes to try to achieve their goals, surprising the player. Here the conventions of the RPG genre are broken again and again, always through the gameplay itself, which is responsible for strengthening and giving meaning to the emotional bond that the player establishes with the game from minute 1.
It is precisely these emotional ties that bind me to Medievil. The original was my first PSX game and along with its sequel, became one of my childhood favorites (until Final Fantasy fell into my hands).
Medievil is the perfect example that books don't always tell the truth. The evocative mix of chivalric epic and macabre gothic, though indebted to Tim Burton's style, nevertheless reserves its own distinctive personality thanks to the refined English humor, of which the hilarious dialogues of the Heroes of the Salone, Sir Dan's envious ex-companions.

Chapter IX: Чорнобиль (Chornóbyl’)
"The destruction that has been wrought, at the Divide - or elsewhere, if you couldn't stop me... It can happen again. It will keep happening. If war doesn't change, men must change, and so must their symbols. Even if it is nothing at all, know what you follow, Courier... ...just as I followed you, to the end. Whatever your symbol... ...carry it on your back, and wear it proudly when you stand at Hoover Dam."

Fallout: New Vegas - 1000th trophy
When I first started this trophy journey, I did not want to associate one of my favorite games ever with.... well...how things are right now.
Militarism alone has never resulted in positive conflict management; on the contrary, in the medium and long term it has entrenched, displaced or worsened conflicts. Let's just hope everything has a "lesser evil" end.

Chapter VIII: Happy "Sam-Va-Lentin"
“It's like the great stories, Mr. Frodo, the ones that really mattered. Full of darkness and danger they were, and sometimes you didn't want to know the end because how could the end be happy? How could the world go back to the way it was when so much bad has happened? But in the end, it's only a passing thing this shadow, even darkness must pass. A new day will come, and when the sun shines, it'll shine out the clearer. I know now folks in those stories had lots of chances of turning back, only they didn't. They kept going because they were holding on to something. That there's some good in this world, Mr. Frodo, and it's worth fighting for.”

Title homage to this famous meme that Spanish speakers will understand😉 (even Sam's actor himself)
Finally, I finished the Middle Earth series. It took me a while because, although I found them entertaining games, the narrative and plot is quite bland and the protagonist (fake Aragorn) lacks charisma.
However, the gameplay and soundtrack entertained me enough. I hope to see new games in the future that take advantage of this license. I've been revisiting the movies this vacation and my goodness, the amount of good stories that could emerge.SONG: Hadadanza - Derry Dol

Chapter VII: Watercolor
“To my knowledge, no one in or out of the field has ever been able to cite a game worthy of comparison with the great dramatists, poets, filmmakers, novelists and composers. That a game can aspire to artistic importance as a visual experience, I accept. But for most gamers, video games represent a loss of those precious hours we have available to make ourselves more cultured, civilized and empathetic.”

There is no need to return to the hackneyed debate of whether games are art or not. Let us simply pity those who have not yet realized it.

Chapter VI: Día de los Muertos
You know, sweetheart, if there's one thing I've learned, it's this: nobody knows what's gonna happen at the end of the line, so you might as well enjoy the trip. —Manny Calavera
