  1. PLATINUM 224 - PERSONA 5 ROYAL An absolute perfection of a game. Persona 5 was already one of the best JRPGS this generation and this upgraded version managed to surpassed with grace. I can’t wait for PS 5 Scramble, hopefully it will be released this year for us.

@DamagingRobhaha, no need to tell me twice my friend xD I know your pain.

I actually left one of the miscellaneous for last because soon as the new semester starts, pictures are locked.

  3. PLATINUM 223 - FINAL FANTASY IX What a joy to go back to the world of Gaia - Final fantasy IX still delivers such a fantastic story, truly a classic. Once again the addition of ultra speed is a bliss, still be prepared to be annoyed, swear, kick and turn whenever the bloodlust comes. What a piece of sh.. of a trophy. I’ll give the benefit of doubt and just say the trainee was in charge of adding that one, and somehow another 0 was added. Off course we can’t finish without mentioning one of the most infamous trophies, the jumping rope minigame, I seriously think the programmers were drunk on the night of programming, what a nightmare. In my heart, Final Fantasy IX will always have a place alongside X, VI and VIII as one of the best.

Wow, you have almost every mainline FF platinum available. That's very impressive! Congrats on FFIX plat. Are you planning on completing FFXIII sometime? 😁

      Thanks so much guys xD

@Alderriz Honestly I would love to get that one, as unlike many people, is an entry I really enjoyed. The problem is that I played that game at launch almost 10 years ago and back then I wasn’t a hunter. Checklists, farming wasn’t something I was aware of - if I ever decide to go for the plat, I would have to restart the game from scratch, as I don’t know which accessories I got.
The silver lining is that SE apparently like FFXIII as much as I did so maybe they could release a remaster. In case they don’t I’ll just accept and replay the game from scratch to truly complete the series, as I don’t play MMOS, aka. FFXIV(even though is great)

@Cynical_Delight this one is a tricky one indeed but I’m glad you enjoyed it too. FFVII is great but both FFVIII and IX were much more polished and deserving of all the praise the former gets.

  5. PLATINUM 222 - FINAL FANTASY XII : THE ZODIAC AGE Back in 2006 I tried this game on my PS2 and for my surprise I didn’t enjoy it - As a high schooler FF fanatic I was so disheartened 14 years later and with way more experience in rpgs and gaming, the zodiac age really surprised me. The story, side content and characters were much better than I remembered initially. On top of that the addition of 4X speed is a bliss and makes the later grinds so much better. In the end and for my surprise, I can finally say Final Fantasy XII is a great and worthwhile entry to this majestic series of RPGs. Long live Ivalice!

@Cynical_Delight we’re not alone on this one,  XII was really divisive at launch. I guess to me at least was because I played the game after X which is still to me the best in the series. VIII is also a game that I enjoyed so much, and often enough is criticized. Still the best of the ps1 entries in my opinion.

@DamagingRob thanks Rob. I’ll never fully understand the hate XIII received it. I comprehend your let down but I’ll never truly grasp how criticized that entry was. I hope if the game gets a remastered rerelease someday, it will fair better with the public.

in the end what matters is that we all love the series, regardless of what entry deserves the praise or not. xD

I was surprised how much I enjoyed this time around. The zodiac age really managed to improve in areas that I thought was hard to get into initially.

  7. I use this method and worked wonders - know I'm late to the party. This was way easier than the 32 count steps
  8. Personally I would say 10, the game is by far my favourite in the series and has one if not the best story in the series. The platinum may be long and somewhat annoying at times but I’m sure you would enjoy this one. Moreover, I also believe that the safest option for you at the moment would be the original 7. The game has a very straightforward platinum and is enjoyable. 8 and 9 are amazing games as well. 15 is the closest graphically and gameplay wise when compared to 7 remake.
  9. PLATINUM 221 - FINAL FANTASY VII: REMAKE Final Fantasy VII Remake is a great example of a remake done well - the amount of love put into this game is undeniable. Since FFVII is not my favourite in the series, I was surprised by how much I enjoyed going back to Midgar - the gameplay is fantastic and I really hope SE continues to use it on future entries. For now, I’ll just enjoy my time with Aerith, I’m so glad they gave her so much screen time, she is a keeper.

  11. I just finished my second attempt in 19 minutes and this fight is so much fun when you get the hang of it. I think the best strategy for it is indeed with Cloud, Tifa and Aerith. Cloud and Tifa with elemental ice for shiva. Time, barrier for all the fights and magnify curaga with Aerith. reprieve is also a plus for mega flare and Bahamut boss in general. I recorded my run in case anyone want to see, would love some feedback on how to improve too.
  12. PLATINUM 220 - SOUTH PATK: THE FRACTURE BUT WHOLE Had so much fun with this game, LOL!! I was genuinely surprise by how well written the dialogues were - I applaud the developers for managing to capture the essence of the animated series so effortlessly. Overall is a really funny and engaging RPG experience. Recommended !!

  14. Honestly it looks beautiful to me. I’m so excited for this next generation.
  15. PLATINUM 219 - RESIDENT EVIL 3 REMAKE Okay this one deserves an actual feedback. After the outstanding remake of Resident Evil 2, Capcom decided to remake another iconic entry from their beloved series. The result is a game that can't fully reach the praised it deserves because of how rich in content REmake 2 was. Let's face it, the source material from the original game was already very limited, sure it had an awesome mercenaries mode, but the actual story was really short, specially compared to RE2. In the end, RE3 remake is an incredible experience nonetheless, even if some parts were left behind among the ashes of Raccoon City. Badass Jill sends her regards. for now, So Long RC!! I'll miss you!
