Not likely, there are technically 4 endings and with the vestiges it's pointless to try. You would be spending more time reverting saves and being weaker.  After your first run you can speed through your next 2 plays way faster. After I beat it the first time I think the last 2 plays took me less than 15 hours.

oh yeah i forgot about the trophy that requires the 4 endings.

NG+ makes more sense as you mentioned.

    Thank you!

You will see some structures by certain players but you can improve your chances of seeing certain players' structures by making a contract with them in the Bridge option of the pause menu or the terminal wherever you're resting at. So if you see a random zipline that's not connected to another, you're seeing one of their structures and to them it will make sense but for you it probably won't. But making a contract with them will mean that you will see more of their ziplines or whatever other structures they have built.

Generally you will want to make contracts with other players that have a high amount of Likes since that means a lot of people found their structures helpful. And despite the name, making a contract just means you will see their stuff more. It's not like you have to do anything for them or something like that.

But yeah, if everyone was connected like that then there would be a clusterfuck of ziplines everywhere and there wouldn't be a need to make anything else. The only way it kind of works in the sense that multiple people make something are the highways where multiple people can contribute resources to the highway and have it built and help keep it maintained.

    Ok, I will try that.

    Thanks

  3. I am playing this game now (at episode 10) and I thought the world would be more connected than this. If each player built one zipline, then the entire map would be connected together.

How does it work exactly? Is the world not shared? Is it server based? Would I get different buildings/structures if i hop servers? or maybe not a lot of people play it?

    Can someone help me understand?!

Took me about 80 attempts to perfect all songs. #6 and #8 were hardest by far. Pretty annoying minigame but could've been harder I suppose. Bare in mind I don't play rhythm games. I loved Guitar Hero back in my X360 days and since then basically played only Yakuza 0 and Kiwami rhythm games to get trophies. But I do play musical instruments so that may have made it easier for me. I liked that the songs were in order of difficulty/speed so by the time you perfected #5, #6 didn't surprise you and so on. Biggest issue was memorizing and pressing the correct buttons, especially in the last song.

Now I'm off to finishing the story and long grind so typical for Ryu Ga Gotoku games, I guess. Hopefully this was the hardest part of the road to platinum.

yup this is the toughest part. Rest is just grinding. Good job buddy!!

The Shogi and Mahjong trophies are added as well since those 2 got cut in the PS3 western version.

This list seems the same as the PS4 Asian version, some trophy requirements were lowered from the PS3 stacks, but you still have to complete every minigame in the list.

can you give an example of what was lowered from the ps3 version?

It probably took me 6 or 7 runs of 20+ to get it finally, it really comes down to luck. One thing that helped me was blasting music and turning the game audio all the way down so I couldn't hear the audio cue of the new rivals, that way I didn't freak myself out whenever the bear or Sig would show up. I imagine this wouldn't work for everyone though, because some people like to be able to save better plays for the harder rivals and "cleaning the board" for the easier ones. I have to say, it is mostly luck, and if you keep trying, you will eventually get it!

    FINALLY got it!!!

She spawned at 27. I shared the run below and notice the HUGE clutch at 10:30 lol

Apologies for sort of hijacking the thread, but I wanted to post an update about the Puyo Puyo thing. After following all the advice in this thread, I actually got to the final rival after 26 turns. Unfortunately, I lost to her because my luck on the two rounds before her was really terrible, so it sort of snowballed out of control. I would personally say there's a bit of skill involved, but if you keep practicing with the three column method, you'll eventually get it. I basically combined everything I've read here and kept trying, and I'm hoping today I can finally finish it.

For anyone else who gets stuck and possibly reads this, I'll give a quick rundown! So, it seems like the final rival doesn't show up until after 20 rounds. Once you've defeated him, you'll want to play at the fish dude. Use the three column method as shown in previous comments. Fill up two entire columns on the right side of the screen, and as you're bringing down more puyos for the third, set up the fourth column so that you can create chains with the third and potentially other columns. Most of the time should be spent refilling the first three columns and trying to create chains with the fourth that overlaps with the other columns. If you have "garbage" puyos, toss them to the left side, but try and stay on top of them as well as you can to clear them. There are a few characters who will show up frequently who are extremely easy to get past, so use that time to clear out any blank puyos or any of your "discard pile". If you happen to be about to defeat a rival and have a chain coming up, try and wait until they are completely off the screen and the next round starts to finish the chain you were making, because any chains you make while there is no rival on the screen don't actually count against anyone, so you are essentially wasting chains. Eventually you will get much better at creating chains without really having to think about it, but obviously there's not much advice that will help you get there, just time and practice. When it comes to the harder rivals (the bear, the witch, and Sig in particular) try to think as quickly and efficiently as you can, because they are probably the most capable of overwhelming you with chains and really screwing you over. Finally, I'm 100% convinced a huge portion of this comes down to luck. Once you've become efficient enough to create really crazy chains, I don't think there's much more skill you can implement. Some runs are going to be completely unlucky for you, just down to the way the puyos spawn. I can easily get to 20+ rounds now, but I have still lost multiple times within the first three rounds just due to luck.

Lastly, if you keep losing or are getting really frustrated, move on for a bit. When you get flustered, it's really easy to panic and overthink things, and you will end up shooting yourself in the foot. There are many, many challenges to do, so hopefully you can balance some of those in while you're struggling with Puyo.

I'll probably update again when I beat the other arcade games.

i am currently struggling with this shit....My max is 22 wins

Song 6 was hell for me because I kept missing one note right toward the end when the timing slows down. I looked up a YouTube video of someone getting an S rank and just pressed the buttons on my controller along with the video to get my timing correct. It took me 30 tries though, no joke. Song 7 was a cakewalk in comparison once you get the timing down of the five button presses in a row, and Song 8 is essentially just memorizing the button sequence as much as you can since it's almost non-stop the entire song. Hopefully this helps. Good luck!

Yeah I got the trophy a while back. It is all about practice practice practice.

    Thanks though!

I hate this mini game with all my heart!

Song #6 was the one that broke me.

I can suffer through grinding the Colosseum, the hours of mindless buggy racing or the numerous rounds of hosting but this damn rhythm game just broke me.

I could manage an S rank in each of those (especially with the coat that makes you earn more points) but this perfect combo is just impossible for me, my reflex aren't built for that!

No further point, just had to vent.

I hope you'll manage to get it!

i am at #6 now and it is a pain :(

The only real advice is to just keep going and you'll get it eventually. The songs and their notes will be pretty second nature when you do them enough. But if there's one thing that can help a bit is to keep the vibration on for your controller since some songs will have it where the controller will vibrate before certain notes and if you press whatever button as it's vibrating you are guaranteed to hit the note.

    thanks! i will keep trying

Yes, I think it will. Can we make it 9 EST? I'll go to the gym early so I'm back by 8 my time (central).

*Edit* We can knock out the disavowed and blackout hijack in the Dark Zone if you need those or have time. I'll add you to my FL now.

i can also join you guys and we can do the dark zone trophies as well
