  1. Platinum #143: Tomb Raider Definitive Edition (PS4)

    First trophy: 30th Mar 2016 9:48:10 PM

Time to platinum (real time): 4 years, 1 month, 2 weeks

Time to platinum (in game time): Around 40 hours

    Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 5.57%

    Game rating: 8/10

    Trophy rating difficulty: 4/10

A very good game with an awful trophy list, hence why it took so long for me to get the platinum. The game itself is very good with the classic feel of Tomb Raider. The multiplayer trophies are just extremely long and boring to do. The online has never been alive anyway, so boosting alone was not a good experience. The good thing is that I had a lot of fun with the single player, even though some trophies had a chance of bugging out, I didn't experienced it myself.

The worst part in Tomb Raider games is that you have to watch Lara die over and over again. It's soul-crushing to lose her so many times.

  3. Hey guys! Quick question: Which level is the best to level up for the Overpowered trophy? I'm having a hard time grinding this out and I'm sure there's a great level to level up, but I haven't found it yet. The lack of information about this game is also an issue. Also, which level is the best to get the Mass Destruction trophy? I haven't had any luck yet with this one. Thanks! :-)
  4. The level I grinded was 5-1 on Extreme if I remember correctly. I was able to gain almost 2 levels per run. Also, don't forget that you need to collect all the hidden skill points in all the levels.

After more than 8 years, I finally got it! As you can see, it's time for backlog time! I don't want to buy any more new games until I finish all the games I bought along the years and this one was on my list. It was basically a level up grind, but it's not for nothing since I really want to do all the DLCs too. Great game!

Oh my, this one took a while, but the game was so fun that it didn't matter much. In my opinion, this is the best Borderlands game around and the best co-op game. It's just so much fun to play with a buddy and farm stuff over and over again to become stronger. The gameplay is great, the story is always very funny and entertaining and the different characters add to the variety. The DLCs were also all pretty fun and different. All in all, this is just a great game!

Nice work! I also think that one was the best. 3 was a lot of fun, too, though.

After more than 4 years, it's finally done! I started this game with my kid and we had a lot of fun together playing this. The Skylanders franchise is very underrated in terms of gameplay and fun, pretty much all of these games are great! Of course, you need a lot of figurines to be able to do a couple of trophies, hence why the rarity of the platinum. Pretty fun game if you can get it on the cheap!

What a fantastic co-op experience! Sure, the game is a little predictable and the gameplay can be clunky at time, but it's so well crafted in terms of co-op that I can forgive the game. The story was really cool and the twist at the end, we didn't see it coming at all! If you're searching for a short co-op game to play with a non-gamer or with a friend, I would recommend this one in a heartbeat. Do it!

  13. Platinum #138: Aces of the Luftwaffe Squadron (PS4)

This game is a really cool shoot em' up and I LOVE shoot em' up games. The bosses are really cool and the story is also enjoyable. The art style is also very flashy, even though sometimes it's really hard to see the enemies on the screen. Why the 6.5 rating then? The game is very grindy and it's a shame. Not only in terms of trophy, but you actually need to grind to get past some levels as your ships are just not strong enough. So you need to replay and replay the same levels over and over again and it's a shame because the game is really cool, just very unbalanced.

  15. Just to add a visual representation, here's a video showing how to do it easily:
  16. Platinum #137: Detroit Become Human (PS4) First trophy: 25th Nov 2018 4:42:46 PM Time to platinum (real time): 1 year, 4 months, 2 weeks Time to platinum (in game time): Around 20 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 17.27% Game rating: 8.5/10 Trophy rating difficult: 4/10 Wow, this game was awesome! Without going too much into spoilers territory, I really enjoyed the story behind this game. It was special and out of the ordinary. Even the second playthrough for the platinum was interesting since you get to know the characters in a different light and doing different choices was really enjoyable. I still need to play Beyond Two Souls, so that might be my next game in that genre. Recommended!
  17. Platinum #136: Ghost Giant (PSVR) First trophy: 24th Apr 2019 9:32:01 PM Time to platinum (real time): 11 months, 2 weeks, 1 day Time to platinum (in game time): Around 8 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 40.99% Game rating: 8/10 Trophy rating difficult: 3/10 This is the perfect entry point for a new Playstation VR owner. The game is simple, but also shows a lot of features of the headset. It's simple but in a good way. Each stage is like a little puzzle on it's own. The story starts out as a very cute one and starts to be very moving and deep near the end. All in all, I would recommend this game to every Playstation VR owners. Recommended!
  18. Platinum #135: Ratchet & Clank (PS4) First trophy: 8th Jul 2017 1:45:17 PM Time to platinum (real time): 2 years, 8 months, 3 weeks Time to platinum (in game time): Around 20-25 hours Platinum rarity (PSNProfiles): 22.14% Game rating: 9/10 Trophy rating difficult: 4/10 Man, I loved this game! No surprise, I'm a big Ratchet & Clank fan and got pretty much all the platinum trophies for all the games. This one was special though, since we're going back to the first game and re-experience it again. The graphics are gorgeous and vibrant, the gameplay is really solid and the story is amazing. In terms of trophies, there's a little bit of planning involved, but nothing most people can't do. Even the challenge mode was different enough to not bother me, which is amazing. Recommended!
  19. Platinum #134: Cosmic Star Heroine (Vita) First trophy: 8th Feb 2019 10:28:54 PM Time to platinum (real time): 1 year, 2 months, 3 days Time to platinum (in game time): Around 10 hours Platinum rarity (psnprofiles): 30.42%% Game rating: 5/10 Trophy rating difficult: 4/10 This game had a lot of potential, but missed the mark on almost every aspects. It doesn't help that I played the game on Vita I guess, because I got 5 softlocks, several crashes and a lot of performance issue. The story is uninteresting, the characters are forgettable and the combat system is honestly boring. I was super excited when I first saw the trailers, so I decided to buy it only to regret my decision. At least the platinum is easy enough with a little bit of planning. I don't recommend this game... at all.
  20. Platinum #133: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (PS4) First trophy: 9th Jul 2017 7:55:04 PM Time to platinum (real time): 2 years, 8 months, 2 weeks Time to platinum (in game time): Around 20-25 hours Platinum rarity (psnprofiles): 9.63% Game rating: 9/10 Trophy rating difficult: 6/10 I honestly think that this is the hardest Crash Bandicoot platinum of the three. The time trials can be absolutely brutal and even some "collect all the boxes" are hard as heck. Super happy to have cleaned and platinumed this one out. All I have left is the Stormy Ascent DLC on the original Crash Bandicoot and I have 100% on all three games!
  21. Here's an easy strategy for killing the Adamantoise, which is one of the hardest and longest trophy in the game. I don't see this strategy using the ring of Lucii much around the internet or in trophy guides, so I decided to make a 2 minutes video explaining how to do it in a couple of simple steps. It literally took me 5 minutes to bring the beast down and the other strategies involved a high party level and a one hour strategy which you don't even need for the platinum. If you have any questions, let me know :-) Thanks for watching! Visual guide:
  22. It was listed as free last week for sure, but now you're right, it's listed at 9.99$US. That's weird...
  23. Platinum #132: Emerald Shores (Playstation 4) First trophy: 11th Nov 2018 8:12:57 PM Time to platinum (real time): 1 year, 3 months, 3 weeks Time to platinum (in game time): Around 4 hours Platinum rarity (psnprofiles): 38.97% Game rating: 6/10 Trophy rating difficult: 1/10 Not much to say here! I got a review copy in 2018 from the developer of this game and finally got around to platinum it. The game is fine if you like 2D platformer and a quick and easy platinum. It's nothing incredible, but it get the job done. I also think it's free right now, so go get it!
  24. Platinum #131: The Gardens Between (Playstation 4) First trophy: 24th Sep 2018 9:39:31 PM Time to platinum (real time): 1 year, 5 months, 4 days Time to platinum (in game time): Around 2 hours Platinum rarity (psnprofiles): 80.40% Game rating: 7/10 Trophy rating: 1/10 I got a free review key back in 2018 from the developers The Voxel Agents of this unique puzzle game and I just got around to platinum it. The game feature a very heartwarming story and the puzzle elements are definitely special and very interesting. There's basically 3 buttons you can use: left, right and the action button. You need to play with time to interact with the objects and make your way through each levels. In terms of trophies, it's a pushover as you can judge by the completion percentage. Definitely recommend it!
  25. Platinum #130: Final Fantasy XV (Playstation 4) First trophy: 15th Jun 2019 4:08:12 PM Time to platinum (real time): 8 months, 1 week, 5 days, 1 hour, 40 minutes Time to platinum (in game time): 65 hours Game rating: 7/10 Trophy rating: 6/10 While I think this is one of the worst Final Fantasy in the series, I still quite enjoyed the ride. The story was very interesting, especially with the movie and anime that really complements the game very well. With that being said, by all means, watch the movie and the anime. PLEASE. The game do a really poor job explaining the relations between the characters and the story makes little sense without watching at least the movie. The strong aspects of this game in my opinion is the world and the combat system. The world, while quite empty in my opinion, is vast and beautiful. The combat system is also really fast paced and action-oriented while remaining Final Fantasy-ish. While I still prefered turn-based combat, I really enjoyed the combat until the very end. Oh, and the game is absolutely gorgeous. The low points for me is the load times and the navigation. Why in the world the navigation takes SO MUCH time is beyond me. And it's even worst since it's getting 100% better on post game, you know, when you have little left to do. In my 65 hours playthrough, I would say around 10-15 hours have been just waiting around, while is a lot. The sidequests, while pretty generic, are still enjoyable. I mean, it's not terrible, but it's also not great. How many times do I need to save a person or help a person on the side of the road again? Final thoughts: The game was great, but I was expecting more after nearly a 10 years development cycle. I'm a HUGE fan of the Final Fantasy series and this one left me on my appetite. I still cannot wait for FF7R though! Thanks for reading!
