  1. Nice. It's been a pretty quiet month for me too. I've completed my fourth backlog game this month as well (God of War: Ascension) and might get time to finish my fifth (Legend of Kay Anniversary) for those sweet, sweet backlog points.
  2. July sounds good. I'm not in a huge rush to do them either, but I'd like to get them done before the servers are eventually shutdown.
  3. I didn't realise they were going to do it either. I'm still interested in boosting it. Seems like there's possibly 5 here between you, me, @Ethan and his brother and @fisty123 if he wants to do it. Can we do it as a group of 5 or does it need to be 4? I've got Black Flag on PS3 as well as PS4 since it came bundled with the only way to get Liberation HD physically. I've still got Brotherhood, Revelations and III to do on PS3 as well, but I'm not sure if I want to suffer through those or not. Let me know if you're going to do Brotherhood (and the others if you've got them) and maybe we can get a group together.
  4. Contract Competition is easy and can be done solo. All you need to do is make a competition on any contract, invite any friend to participate (can be an alt account, but they don't need to participate anyway) and then compete in the competition yourself and you're done. It took me less than a minute to pop both contract competition trophies (and I used a friend's contract so I popped that trophy too). The online trophies as a whole aren't difficult and only take around an hour to complete.
  5. You don't need dedicated boosting contracts. I just did the ~$100k contracts that had simple win conditions (usually 1 target using a specific weapon and that's it). It only took me around 50 minutes to do all the online trophies and I found doing more of the simpler, but less rewarding contracts to be quicker than doing the complex, but higher paying ones. A lot of the ones for the first Chinatown level are quick and simple.
  6. A pretty decent month for me. 118 trophies earned across five different trophy lists. It's down from last month's 157 and last year's 329 (my all-time monthly record), but I did focus on completing at least 2 backlog games and that definitely paid off. I'm also glad that @adam1984123 helped me grind out the online trophies for LittleBigPlanet Karting before the servers go offline in July, even if it took an hour or two longer than it should have due to the matchmaking failing. Not sure when I'll get around to doing the offline, but it's nice to have the online done nonetheless. Knack, a game I bought with my PS4 but only finally got around to playing, was actually decent. It's not the best game ever and I definitely prefer Sony's older mascot platformers, but it does some really good things like actually changing up the enemy AI and attack frequency on higher difficulties instead of just turning them into bullet sponges like other games. It also does some really bad things with its collectibles such as making them randomised and allowing useless duplicates. Spending 14 hours restarting the game and getting to the chests to grind out the 10 diamonds for Diamond Knack was a downer. I'm a physical media guy, but these console Humble Bundles are really good. Fortunately the only game from this that I already own is Super Monkey Ball and I wouldn't be able to use that without either switching my Vita to my US account or tricking it into using both my AU and US accounts simultaneously anyway.
  7. I never finished the first one as a kid, but I do remember beating both the second and third. I don't think I 100%'d the second one, but I did 100% the third one (also my favourite one) since I remember the bonus you get. I wasn't able to beat Gnasty Gnorc as a kid, but I did playthrough all three of a few years back to 100% completion so I finally got to see the last level in the original. I liked MediEvil as a kid too and I'm interested in seeing how that one turns out. Only other one I really want to see now is Ape Escape.
  8. I was always more into Spyro than Crash so I'm definitely excited for this one. I wonder if EB will do another trade-in deal where we'll be able to get this one for $28 on launch as well. 😄
  9. I have a load of games I've gotten from PS+ that appear in my purchased list but don't appear in my Plus list. Games like 10 Second Ninja X, Aaru's Awakening, Alienation, Assassin's Creed: Freedom Cry, Bloodborne, Downwell, Furi, Helldivers, Injustice, both Infamous games, Lumo, Metal Gear Solid V, Oddworld, Resident Evil HD, Resogun and Until Dawn: Rush of Blood among a few others. I downloaded Downwell since it's tiny and even though it doesn't appear in my Plus list, it still has the same expiry date attached to it as all my other PS+ games.
  10. I want to see the results too. I'm also really hoping that I manage to finish Metro: Last Light Redux before midnight to score some backlog points.
  11. I'm pretty happy with how I've done as well. I'll also be middle-tier, but I'll have improved on number of plats and trophies from the same month last year. Rules state that you won't be able to. Maybe you could sweet talk Adam and see if he's as corruptible as a politician?
  12. I liked it, but it wore out its welcome very quickly once I began grinding out the remaining endings. At least it's easy, I suppose, though that feeds into the monotonousness.
  13. I'm playing God of War III before I get around to doing Ascension. Hopefully I'll have it done by this weekend so I'll have a week to get at least one more plat for the month.
  14. That's strange. I suddenly regret picking Dragon's Dogma, Final Fantasy XIII and Tales of Xillia.
  15. Lol. Fair enough. You can successfully import banned games here, even though it's illegal. Not sure you'd get away with a loli dakimakura here though.
