  1. Most exciting thing about the PS5 details released, was that it was not only running a PS4 game, but running it better. Pointing to not just backwards compatibility being a thing, but to PS4 games being able to take advantage of the PS5 hardware as well.

      Nice, man. Really nice.

I heard it doesnt sound like a jet engine...

  2. Well, that's disappointing. Guess it's for the best. I've got a couple of other games I'm playing right now anyway.
  3. Just noticed that I still don't have the PS4 Birth by Sleep plat. The PS3 version was my 50th. Maybe I'll make 150 the PS4 version lol.

  4. This is an absolutely genius move. Not only can people return new games if they buy them at launch, Gamestop will be able to circulate the same copy of a game way more, and more quickly than ever before. I see it working like this. Person buys game at launch, doesn't like it, and good guy Gamestop takes it back. Gamestop is only issuing a store credit refund, so they HAVE to buy something else at the store. Which means Gamestop isn't losing any money. And lot of the time, when people have store credit/a gift card, they'll end up spending either more or less than the amount. Either way, Gamestop is getting more money overall. Also, they now have a used copy of a brand new game that they can sell again, and super close to launch so it's pretty much guaranteed to fly off the shelf. They also wont have to wait nearly as long for someone to trade in a newly released game to have it in stock used. A lot of the time, if someone buys a new game, they wont trade it in to Gamestop. They'll sell it themselves for way more than the $20-$30 in credit Gamestop will give them. This will also get more people to go to Gamestop again. You can't return new games anywhere else. If you're getting games at launch, buying from Gamestop is the safest bet now. That will also build loyalty towards Gamestop, since it paints them in a very positive light. Also, this title is very misleading. It isn't just Days Gone. It's a brand new policy for every new game. The very first game to come out after the policy takes effect just happens to be Days Gone.
  5. Getting close to plat 150. I want to do something special, but there's nothing really out right now or even coming that means a lot to me. Maybe I'll just go for something UR.

That sounds like a nightmare. I didn't like that game, and I'm not about to spend 1000+ hours playing it. Pretty much anything already on my list is out of the running.

Do white knight chronicles. I just inserted the disc. I hope you have lots of time left 😇

    4. DamagingRob

Lol. Yeah, don't do White Knight Chronicles. I have rarer Plats than those, and they didn't take an eternity.

  6. #147 - Persona 5 Dancing in Starlight - This is probably my least favorite of the Persona dancing games. The songs just weren't as good imo, and the character in P5 are less developed than the P3 and P4 ones right now. I'm sure they did that on purpose though, so they could do what they did with P4 and make a bunch of P5 games. Overall, it was still enjoyable, but the lack of a real story hurt P5D a lot more than it hurt P3D.

I think the story was fine for P3D. It's been so long since that game that it was nice to just kind of visit those characters again. It was like visiting old friends for the first time in a long time. They both definitely would've been better if both had been just one big game with an actually story though. Would have trimmed the fat in terms of song selection, and it would have been cool to see the P3 and P5 cast interact. But oh well. It was still a fun little set of rhythm games.

      Well done! 💯

  7. It's really bizarre not having a backlog. It's actually taken away from my motivation to play games. Which is super weird.

      Fat Chocobo

I dunno what I'll do when if my backlog was ever 100% gone. xD

    3. Charizarzar

I miss having a huge backlog in a way, most of what I have left are just hard games and I keep putting them off by playing something new. :P

That said yeah you do seem to still have a good number of games to complete.

    4. ExHaseo

I've beaten all the games I want to beat. I dont care about completion of every game, and I only get plat for games I really like, because I'm not about to force myself to continue playing games I don't want to play anymore. That's just ridiculous.

  8. That sucks they didn't have any you could exchange for right now. They should get some soon though. They get a shipment every week for new stuff.
  9. I used to work at Gamestop. If your warranty is still active, you can just take it to Gamestop and they'll exchange it for one in store. Since it's a hardware issue, it is definitely covered. You'll just need proof you got the warranty, as well as when the warranty was purchased. Which should all be in your original confirmation email., and the reciept that was shipped with the PS4. Unless it's been changed and it's just in the system now. Either way, definitely take it in as soon as possible. They should be more than happy to exchange it for you.
  10. I dont have 5. This generation just wasnt great. There were plenty of good games, but not very many truly great games. The only ones I would put on a list like this are Horizon Zero Dawn Spider-Man Persona 5 Everything else had some kind of major issue. Most of the time the same one, the game was launched incomplete, and "DLC" was added to fill in the gaps. But it always led to the game feeling fractured and/or badly paced. And I cant call a game like that the best of anything.
  11. I put yes, because UR plats have a certain allure to them, and getting them definitely feels more rewarding than a normal one.
  12. Tales of Symphonia is the worst for sure. There's so many missables, that it takes at least 4 playthroughs to get everything. Even then, it's really easy to screw up and have to do more. And ToS is not a short game.
  13. I'm pretty convinced Atlus is doing a Persona 3 remake. They just put too much work into the assets in P3D. The game itself is just too bare bones and basic for them to put in all that work making models, costumes, and evironments. Especially the character rooms. It makes no sense for them to fully recreate character rooms for a game like P3D.

I'll believe it when I see it. I don't share your optimism, though.

      I would love that!!! :D

  14. Was going through another losing streak of games from my dwindling backlog, and decided that I'm done. I'm just not really getting any benefit from forcing myself to play games I don't really feel like playing. It was another story when there were hundreds or even just dozens of games to choose from. It was much easier to find a game to enjoy, because I had so many. But it's obvious I've put these last few games off for a reason. I either don't have the time, patience, or am just not interested in the game enough to play through it. So, backlog completed! I did it! It's over! *throws confetti* I've started a brand new chapter of gaming. One without a backlog. It's really weird. I'm going to be doing my best to ensure that it doesn't get out of control again. Soon my girlfriend will be done with college, and we're moving to a place with much cheaper cost of living, and that will help tremendously. We should be able to live a lot more comfortably, so I wont have to worry about stocking up during the sales anymore. If I want to play a game, I'll be able to just buy the game and play through the game, then just buy another one once I'm done. Then just find another one I want to play and buy that one. Huge shoutouts to @Paleblood for putting together this event. Without it, I wouldn't have gotten through my backlog nearly as quickly. And thanks to everyone here! You guys are seriously the best. Without everyone's support, I'm not sure I would have made it through. Good luck with your backlog everyone!
  15. Apparently the great indoors sale is two weeks long. I have enough gamestop rewards points for some PSN cards. I may have to get some more games. I'm moving across the country soon, and wont be able to buy another game until July or August. So I'm trying to stock up while they're cheap.

By that time they'll be even cheaper....

But cant you change your addy to say another state that doesnt have tax?

    3. starcrunch061

@Avatar_Of_BattleIs that true? That seems to tax you twice (once when you buy the card, and another when you buy the game).

Here in Iowa, we get taxed on our online purchases, but purchasing a PSN card is considered a change of currency, and not subject to tax.

    4. Avatar_Of_Battle

@starcrunch061 I just did a quick check and the card itself, at least digitally, isn't taxed. Even if you get that even exchange of $10, your PSN purchase here in Massachusetts is over that $10 with tax. $10.61 or something like that on a $9.99 cart total. So unless you have an alternative method set up where the entire $10.61 can be taken from a personal card or paypal you have to buy a minimum of $20 worth of psn cards to cover the tax since there's nothing lower than $10.
