  1. YES! Very excited about this! I loved Virtues Last Reward on the Vita, it had such an amazing story and I haven't played anything quite like it. Zero Escape 3 will be a day 1 purchase for me, no question. It's a shame that 999 was on the DS only, I would love to play that one too but I guess it's just not to be.
  2. I would say stick with the original model, for sure. I bought my Vita just as the slim version was coming out. I knew I wanted to get a Vita at some point and the OLED screen was a huge plus for me so I rushed out and got the 1000 model before they became hard to find. The slim model is fine but the OLED screen of the 1000 greatly outweighs the advantages of the 2000 in my opinion. People complain about the battery life of the 1000 but I can easily get 6 hours out of a full charge, especially if you play with Wi-Fi and bluetooth off and that's more than enough game time for me. Also the 1000 does feel like a quality product and although I haven't actually held the 2000, I hear it feels cheap. The 1GB of memory that the slim comes with really isn't enough to do much with, I think I'll be fine with my 64GB card. I don't really see the bigger buttons on the 2000 as an advantage. I've never had trouble hitting the buttons on the original Vita, is that just me? I'm hoping that Sony announce a 3000 model at some point that has a Micro USB port, is lighter and has an OLED screen... I realize that there's like no way that will happen but let me dream okay!?
  3. From the little I understand, a port from PC to PS4 and Xbone would be fairly simple considering their similar architecture. Also saying that Japanese developers don't have the skill to do something like that is a very broad statement and not exactly true. Surely if they can bring the game from PS3 to PC with their wildly different architecture then a PS4 and Xbone version wouldn't be that difficult for them to do, I'm only assuming of course. It seems more likely to me that they don't think it's worth putting in the effort to make an Xbone version rather then due to a lack of skill. I wouldn't blame them either, I know that JRPGs usually sell poorly on Xbox platforms or at the very least, worst than on PlayStation.
  4. I don't really play games on PC but it's interesting to see more Japanese developers making PC versions of their games. It also makes me wonder why they don't go fully cross platform and release it for Xbone too, is it because they don't think it will sell? Or do they have some kind of agreement with Sony? I wonder what the chances are that this will also come to PS4 now. I already own the PS3 version but I haven't played it yet and I would much prefer to play it on the PS4.
  5. The hipster is strong in this one. Seriously though, GTA 5 is a damn fine game, not the best game ever and I agree that it's overrated but come on! You want to talk about overrated games? Skyrim tops that list for me and none of those other games you mentioned come anywhere close to the level of polish and quality of GTA 5. I enjoyed Borderlands 2 and Sleeping Dogs for what they were and they are good games but are they these incredible must own games? No, not at all. Don't even get me started on the Saints Row series, I can see why people with a sense of humour like that would have fun with them but personally, can't stand those games. Also a Spider-Man game... Seriously!? OKAY THEN! Whatever floats your goat... I'm not trying to be rude but every time I see you on the forums, you say stuff almost like you're trying to get people riled up by saying a game/series that people love is awful and overrated. I respect your right to have an opinion of course but some of the things that you say make me question if that actually is your opinion or not.
  6. And what exactly is a good game to you? Does it have to have a big "Triple A" budget that takes half a decade to make with hundreds of people working on it? Or can a game be good no matter the development cost and size of the development team? If you believe the latter then there have been good games, even great games that have released for the system recently and more coming in the near future, a lot of which are exclusive to the Vita. I'm currently looking forward to Danganronpa Another Episode and Persona 4 Dancing All Night. Sure they're niche games and wont sell like crazy but that doesn't mean that they'll be bad. Also, I have quite the backlog of Vita games that I have yet to play and will easily keep me occupied for years to come. Of course, your idea of a "good game" all depends on the kinds of games you like but looking at your profile, it seems that you aren't a stranger to Japanese games which is what the Vita specializes in. What I'm trying to say is that the people who say "THE VITA HAZ NO GAMES!" are talking out of their butt, you just need to pay attention to the games that do come out for it. Just don't go expecting huge "Triple A" games or a lot of stuff from the West and I'm sure you'll find something that you will enjoy.
  7. Together we will destroy everyone who apposes the Vita way of life! Long live our noble Vita-tan! I accepted that a looooong time ago!
  8. You guys are awesome!
  9. Buying my Vita was one of the best decisions I have ever made so it was absolutely worth it for me. I don't travel too much so I usually play it when I'm home but it still gives me the option to play in another room or in bed if I'm playing a visual novel for example. When I do end up traveling, it's a great way to pass the time and of course, continue trophy hunting when away from my man cave. Personally, I think that the Vita has the better games than the PS4 or the 3DS with it's "vast library" of games, at least for the time being. It is actually home to many of the best games that I have played in recent memory, a lot of them being exclusive. Hell, my favourite game of all time is Persona 4 Golden which makes my purchase worth it for just that but there are a lot of other games that interest me on the platform too. I know a lot of people hate on indie games just because they aren't "triple a", which is kind of dumb in my opinion, but a lot of those are perfect for Vita and all the better when you get them for free of PS Plus. Sure, I wish that Sony continued to support Vita, I would even settle for them just acknowledging it but third parties still release games for it all the time (at least the Japanese ones). I guess it comes down to what kind of games you're into, I love Japanese games so I guess that I would get a lot more enjoyment out of it than the average person. If you're someone who only plays the big Western games and doesn't like JRPGs, visual novels or indie games, the Vita probably isn't worth it for you.
  10. I watched the anime first and then played the visual novel but it really works either way. They're are both fantastic and you don't need to play/watch one to understand the other.
  11. Lots of great games that I've been waiting a long time for them to go on sale. I'm going to pick up Disgaea 3: Absence of Detention, Disgaea 4: A Promise Revisited, Hyperdimension Neptunia Re;Birth 2 as well as some classics that I for some reason don't own yet like Suikoden 1, Suikoden 2, Valkyria Chronicles 2 and Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. Rest in peace my wallet...
  12. This is the most excited I've ever been just looking at screenshots... Just release the new trailer already! And while you're at it, the game would be nice too.
  13. I would love it if Sony made the PS4 backwards compatible with PS3 games but I know that it would be extremely difficult or even impossible considering how complicated the PS3 architecture is. Luckily, I still have my PS3 so it's not the end of the world for me if it doesn't happen but it would still be nice not to have to hook up my PS3 every time I want to play a game on there. Something that isn't out of the question though is being able to play PS1 and PS2 games. I'm kind of shocked that they aren't available yet as Sony has a ton of classics which I'm sure a lot of us would love to play on the PS4 as it could have benefits over the emulator on PS3. I remember hearing rumours a while ago that they were looking into PS1/PS2 emulation in 1080p on PS4, maybe that's why it's taking so long. I think that PlayStations history is a major plus over Xbox, a lot of us grew up playing old PlayStation games and if they opened that up to PS4 gamers, I think it would be a huge win for them. Maybe that's just me.
  14. I would also like to say that it's been fun looking at everyone's reactions and opinions on each of the conferences. Until next year, thank you! *Hugs*
  15. The hype is real!
  16. I thought the Square Enix conference was great! Lots of great games! I'm excited for Just Cause 3, I loved how the last game was over the top and gave you the freedom to do whatever you want and this new one looks even more insane. I'm really interested to see what they do with the new Nier game for PS4 and its something Im going to keep my eye on, for sure. I enjoyed playing the Tomb Raider reboot and I'm definitely going to pick up the new one... When it comes to PlayStation that is. Oh man, Final Fantasy 7 Remake was one of the best things revealed at the Sony conference and I'm so hyped for it! When I first saw that trailer, I squealed in excitement. It's a shame that were probably going to have to wait a really long time to actually play it though. I could never get into the Kingdom Hearts games but I know that people go ape shit for that series, I'm happy for them but I don't really care for the new one (plz don't kill me). That gameplay for the new Hitman gives me hope that they learnt their lesson from Hitman Absolution, looks great! As a JRPG fan, of course I'm eager to play the new Star Ocean. It's great that they're bringing it out on PS4 and are aiming for 60fps too! I adored Deus Ex Human Revolution, probably one of my favourite PS3 games so Mankind Divided is one of my most anticipated games right now. Not much I can really complain about, it was solid throughout. Good job Squeenix!
  17. I'm sure Persona 5 is going to do very well but yeah, I guess it isn't something they want to talk about at E3. I agree that they were going for the mainstream this year, they talked about Call of Duty and you can't really get more mainstream than that!
  18. I didn't really expect to hear anything at the Sony conference but still, we can dream right? Persona 5 is going to be huge and it's a true PlayStation exclusive unlike a lot of the other games they showed of so I didn't think it was out of the realm of possibility. A small trailer with a release date would of been nice as would confirmation that it's coming to Europe but oh well. There's always the Tokyo game show to look forward to.
  19. Sony absolutely fucking killed it tonight! The Last Guardian!!! Final Fantasy 7 Remake!!! Shenmue 3!!! HOLY CRAP... They've won E3 hands down with just those 3 games but there's more. We got a look at Horizon which looks pretty incredible, I really like the premise of the story and it looks gorgeous so I'm really excited to see more of that. I'm a fan of the Hitman games so I'm interested to see what they do with this new one. Hopefully we get given a big open playground like in the older games where we can do whatever we want and not get put in a corridor like the latest one. And of course, Uncharted 4 looks incredible, was there any doubt? It looks absolutely mind blowing and I cannot wait to play it! Not much else to say! The only things that I can think of that are disappointing are the lack of any real Vita support (I wasn't expecting anything but still) and nothing about Persona 5. Still, I'm just blown away by what I just witnessed so I don't really care! Well done Sony!
  20. I think it's odd that this is a timed exclusive thing, mods are made by the community so it doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me. Still, I'm glad that we'll get mods too even if it is later. I'm interested to see how they implement this and how exactly this is going to work.
  21. I cant believe I'm saying this about Ubisoft but after that EA conference full of uptight suits, it was actually a breath of fresh air. I'm glad they're making another South Park game, I haven't played the first game yet but I hear it was really good. The Division looks great, I'm not usually a multiplayer guy but I might have to pick this one up. It reminds me of Day Z with the PvP and how you can betray your allies which is cool. Still, I hope it has a single player mode for loners like me. The new Rainbow Six looks pretty good, I'm glad that there is a place for a more tactical, team based shooter, It's not really my cup of tea but I can appreciate it. I'm interested in the new Ghost Recon game from the little we've seen of it, knowing Ubisoft, I'm sure well only have to wait like 3 years to actually play it... I'm not a fan of the token Just Dance awkward singing/dancing section but at least it didn't go on for as long as the EA mobile and sports stuff. It at least gives us a chance for a bathroom break. I stopped caring about Assassins Creed a long time ago but even then, London in the industrial revolution is an interesting time period for me. Still, I can live without that copy and paste, bug ridden series. Now onto the big one. Come on Sony! Dont fail us!
  22. I know that EA earn a lot of money from sports and mobile games, probably a lot more than what they make from games we actually care about but come on EA! They are doing an E3 conference, the only people who are going to be watching are core/hardcore gamers. I'm willing to bet that the vast majority of people who were watching their conference don't care about those games so I don't see why they couldn't just get to the stuff we care about.
  23. Oh yeah, that looked pretty interesting. I forgot about that because of the flood of sports and mobile that came after. I can see it now, at the end of the game, you're just a lifeless piece of string. A pile of sad dead string.
  24. The EA conference was awful, just awful. I was struggling just to keep myself awake. The majority of it was them talking about sports and mobile games which I couldn't care less about. Every time they mentioned mobile, I had to cringe, yuck. I wanted to see some Mass Effect stuff but all we got was a really short teaser, so that was really disappointing. The new Mirrors Edge looks like it could be decent but it's not something that really grabs me. I'm not much of a Star Wars fan but Star Wars Battlefront looks pretty good, I doubt I'll pick it up though. I really don't trust EA to make a game worth the cost anymore, it will probably be light on content and be full of micro transactions because EA is EA after all. Ubisoft and Sony have to mess up really bad to be worse than that conference. Maybe I'm just being super negative but after all the BS that they try and pull, can you blame me?
  25. I thought Microsoft had a decent conference, not the most incredible I've seen thing like they tried to make us believe it would be, but it was pretty good. Some cool announcements but the thing that stood out most to me was backwards compatibility with Xbox 360 games. Can you imagine if Sony announced that you could play PS1, PS2 and PS3 on your PS4 while letting you use your own discs? That would be insane! I was really disappointed that they announced they'd be doing an early access like thing, similar to what Steam has. The amount of crap that comes out on Steam all the time through early access with no quality control makes me extremely skeptical about it. I really hope that Sony doesn't follow what Microsoft and Steam are doing, DO NOT WANT!
