Popular Post The-Man-In-Black
Cuphead, to me, was always a tempting game. I love the 1930s style and the game just looked fun. But as a completionist and someone who tends to shy away from difficult trophies in general (I want to relax, not stress myself out), the game's reputation for being difficult caused me to shy away from it for the longest time. I eventually gave in and decided to play the game on an alt account. The game is incredibly fun. And while it is certainly no walk in the park by any stretch of the imagination, it is nowhere near as difficult as some people claim it is. This isn't My name is Mayo, but it isn't Dark Souls, either. If I had to give a platinum difficulty rating on this game, I'd say it's a 6/10 at most. I probably dedicated about 50 hours of playing, give or take, earning the platinum on my alt account over the course of 10 days. So with that said, I loaded up my main account just to see how the "Easy Platinum Exploit" worked. I played this game solo, letting player 1 just die and earning what I could with my main account as Player 2. I jumped into my alt-account's game which was at 200% completion. My main account was immediately given 40 coins to spend, so I went into Porkrind's shop and bought everything, unlocking "Butter and Egg Man". Weapons and charms purchased this way will *not* carry over if/when you decide to load up the game on your main account. You'll have to find the coins and buy them yourself. I then made my way back to Inkwell Isle One and fought The Root Pack on Expert Difficulty. My first parry unlocked "Parry Persistance" and "Parry Performance". Upon defeating the carrot at the end, I unlocked "Taking Names", "A Walk in the Park", and (surprisingly) "Beat the Devil At His own Game". My guess is that since you can beat the bosses in any order for the "Beat the Devil" trophy, so long as you defeat one of the bosses, it counts for them all. I went back in and fought The Root Pack on normal difficulty. Unlike expert difficulty, beating just one boss does NOT unlock "Souls Saved". You actually have to complete a normal playthrough. Since I just let player one die, I was unable to unlock "Perfect Run" or "Put on a Show". However, my understanding is that if you have an actual person playing player 1 and that player doesn't get hit and meets the requirements, you are able to unlock these trophies at this point as well. The same can be said for "Rolling Sixes". Similarly, I was unable to unlock "Sherriff", "Boss", "Mayor", or "King" because I was just letting player 1 die. If player 1 is active and you earn an A rank on just one boss per isle, it will unlock those trophies for player 2. This shouldn't be a major problem as these trophies can just be earned during single player play on normal difficulty. These are not trophies that are difficult to unlock legitimately. I then proceeded to Forest Follies. Again, I let player 1 die and did a pacifist run through the level. Pacifist unlocked. I defeated a random boss in Isles 2 and 3 to unlock "A Day at the Fair" and "A Trip Downtown", then I sold out to the Devil to unlock "Selling out". I unlocked "Porcelan Power" and "Bouncing Ball" just through the course of play in the process. "Ceramic Strike" and "Cutting Corners" can also be earned this way if you're so inclined. At this point, I decided to call it a night. Because real life sucks and I have a job. However at this point, all the most difficult trophies have been earned and only trophies that can be earned on simple/regular difficulty are left; no further need for an exploit. Some other notes to keep in mind: "Coffers Full" and "High Roller" need to be earned legitimately on your own playthrough. Even though the game grants you the 40 coins and lets you buy everything, you still have to earn these yourself. When in multiplayer, you are granted all 3 Super Arts to use. However, since you didn't defeat the mausoleums yourself, you won't be able to pop "Magician Lord". You'll have to do this on your own playthrough. Hopefully this will clear up what trophies can and cannot be earned through the multiplayer exploit. If you have a friend or boosting partner who already has the platinum, you can easily earn the most difficult trophies with no issues and mop up the rest on a regular solo run. Doing so drops the difficulty from (in my opinion) 6/10 to about 3/10. For the record, I highly recommend this game. If you're a completionist like me and the difficulty is scaring you....it shouldn't. But if it really does, find a boosting partner, knock off the expert mode trophies, and enjoy the rest of the game on regular or simple mode. If you're not a fan of exploits like this......don't use it. This is for those who are willing to use an exploit to earn trophies more easily. If you're not one of those people, this isn't for you. And if you have earned the platinum legitimately, bravo! Don't let the fact that other people used an exploit devalue your platinum. You earned it. Joe Dubz
I personally earned it legit, but I'm also okay with this because it gets people like yourself to play, who may have shied away to begin with! I cracks me up how much some people really care about "devaluing" a trophy. In my opinion, peeps should try this legit and if you're really struggling, find a friend to help ease some of the burden. That being said everyone plays differently, so you do you and I'll do me, and I will be sitting back with popcorn waiting for the shitstorm here to commence from all the salty haters ?
Lonemankane
Just to let you all know that you need the other id on the same ps4 so the one that has the save and the 100% on the system can be popped in as the second controller, you cant do it by share play, it is just like doom 1 and 2 on ps4, share play does not unlock trophies for the second player who is apart of the share play
