Damn! Dropping from those sewer slides and landing made my stomach twist. Can only imagine what it will feel like when using the controller in hand. Gameplay looks smooth with lighting and atmosphere to boot. Drop date can't come soon enough.

Here are a couple recent blog posts worth reading:

“We’re working on our achievements and trophies at the moment, and we actually have an achievement in there for seeing all of the deaths,” [developer Mark James] said. “You are gonna die in our game. A lot of people ask how long the game is, and it’s like, how many times are you going to die? Also, the variables are huge in the way they attack you or you attack them, so you might actually die more or less. Even things like backing into a fan, it’s a mistake and it will result in a death, you’ll have to do that section again.”

The Callisto Protocol is 12-14 Hours Long

Striking Distance Studios' CEO and founder Glen Schofield says the horror title will also have "beta paths" that will add replay value.

There’s a cavalcade of promising games coming up in the next few months, and in that sizeable group, The Callisto Protocol is one that’s caught the eye of many. In the lead-up to its launch, developer Striking Distance Studios has now also revealed how long the game will be, while also talking briefly about its relayability.

Speaking in an interview with EDGE magazine (via MP1st) Striking Distance Studios’ CEO and founder Glen Schofield said that The Callisto Protocol will be about 12-14 hours long om average. That said, Schofield says the survival horror title will also have plenty of “beta paths” that will add replay value and “encourage conversations between players who took different routes to finish.”

“They came later in the game, but some of them are so freaking cool,” Schofield added.

“And we don’t tell you where they are or how many they are. But if you really explore, it may be longer.”

First game I've pre-ordered since Dead Space 2. Really hoping I don't regret breaking one of the few rules I've actually managed to stick by over the years. Two rules broken actually, since I also swore I'd never spend more than $60 on a video game. Might have to sell a still-sealed game or two to make myself feel better about it all. Freakin' $75, man.

Same here. Besides GoW Ragnarök this is the only game i've pre-ordered in a very very long time. From the looks of what little gameplay they've shown this game will be a banger for sure!
