Popped PS4 Trophies On PS5 Has This Happened To Anyone Else

I was playing worms on the ps5 and a trophy popped that i've already obtained, so I had a look at my trophy list and it popped for the ps4 version, have i done something wrong or is it glitched?

Are you sure you were playing the PS5 version?

This happened when my ps4 mate sent me an invite from his ps4 via PSN. 

 

For some reason the game will be started with the ps4 Version then. Maybe a glitch, even of not... Not what I was expecting. 

 

I only wanted to make this platinum on ps5. Now I have trophies on both systems by only playing on one. 

 

Sucks a bit. Especially when I think about level 50 trophy and so on. Atm you can only trigger them once so one trophy-list will remain with no platinum. 

 

I already wrote to the support and asked for a fix. (Maybe some sort of auto-popping during der game starts, if trophies are already earned on an other system). 

 

Maybe you should do that, too.

Iirc the same can happen with DBD if you play on PS5 but get an invite from someone playing on PS4 the playstation 5 boots up the PS4 version of the game.

So more a bug of the ps5 itself. 

Team17 won't be able to do anything about that. So let's hope they make double platinum possible. 

 

I mean.. I think it will be. 

The game is super new. There are already some level 50s. There are less weapons. 

 

I think they will do an update later with more levels, a new weapon and things like that, so we can trigger these trophies more than once.

Exactly, Just got Tooled Up, only on 1 version.. maybe once they add a new weapons we'll able to get it but autopop sound way easier..

I am already in contact with the support of team17.
They asked me to make a detailed report of the problem, so they can look into this.

 

Here is my report. Hope they will make double platinum possible. I am also asking for the problem with using the wrong trophylist.

- Start the game on a PS4 with the PS4 Version (my friends account)

- On the PS5: Accept the invite and play

 

Expected behaviour (as I thought):

 

The games was started with the PS5 Version first, so the PS5 trophylist should be used

 

Actual behaviour:

 

After accepting the invite, the game changes to the PS4 Version (with no information about that) and the PS4 trophylist is used.
This might not be what the user wants or expects.

 

Additional Information:

 

This problem does not occur, if the invite from PS4 to PS5 is sent via the team17 friendlist. Maybe it's a problem with the PS5 System it self? Hope you can do anything about that.

I also made some tests with the trophylists. After I started both trophylists unintentionally, I thought about, wether I will be able to complete both lists then.

What I found out (example):

 

- I played to Level 10 on the PS5 version

- The trophy for level 10 popped

- I switched to the PS4 version

- Nothing happened on the PS4 trophylist

- I played on level 11 on the PS4 version

- The trophy for level 10 popped in the PS4 trophylist

 

So it seems, that the trophy will be triggered on the other system, if the level (in this case) has changed again. That's good.

 

Problem I was thinking about:

 

There are at least three trophies, where this won't work.

 

Maxed Out

 

For this trophy I have to reach the highest level (50). If I reach that on one system, the trophy will popp. Now on the other system, I will not have the chance to trigger the trophy again, because there is no possible levelup anymore.

 

Same thoughts I had with trophies: Geared Up and Tooled Up:

 

After unlocking all leveling customization items (geared up) and playing all weapons to level 10 (tooled up) both trophies will popp. Now I will have the same problem. I cannot trigger them again on the other system, because there are no items to unlock and no weapons to level up anymore.

 

Possible workarround:

 

Check if the requirements for these three trophies are fullfilled at starting the game. If yes, let it popp.

 

Or:

 

Check if the requirements for these three trophies are fullfilled after each game. If yes, let it popp.

 

Or:

 

Maybe check all trophies at starting the game to be sure? Maybe to much API-Calls, I don't now.

Why do I ask for this:

 

I am part of psnprofiles.com.

We have 363.000 members, all playing games to hunt for trophies. As worms rumble was part of ps+, many players reported issues with the both trophy lists. Most of them played on PS5 and started the PS4 list accidently. There were many discussions, if both lists will be able to get completed parallely.

For our players the worst thing is, to have a list stuck at 90 % because there are trophies unobtainable at some point. It would be so nice, if you could care about this issues.

Yeah, I confirm this going the other way around, from a PS4 to PS5. Was a bit worried I'd locked myself out the PS5 trophy.

Oh good there’s a topic for this thank god. I only noticed the two seperate listings after getting the platinum on PS4. Most of them auto unlocked straight away but since I already bought every item and got to the max level cap I can’t get most of the grindy ones. I really hope that this gets sorted out.

I’ve won both game modes on the PS4 but playing my first death match on the PS5 didn’t prompt anything

You have to win on each console if you want to have it on both. Playing a match does not trigger the trophy again.

Yeah, thanks Manuel, that's great! I've also contacted them in the past. Now with patch 1.08, they fixed all issues except maxed out. I was already on level 50 and this one still does not pop. Why??? They managed to do it with the weapons at level 10 one. I don't understand that team...
