Happily ever after... (bugged)

15 posts in this topic

I have finished the game with the 4 original heroes and have gotten the trophies for doing so, except the Happily ever after... trophy which states that you must finish the game with all characters.

I thought the problem might have been that I finished the game as Elessa on a friends playstation, but now after having gone through a whole new playthrough with her, still no trophy.

Now there are 2 new heroes, are they included in the trophy? Im a bit tired of the game and just want that last trophy to pop so I can delete it.

If anyone knows anything I would be very thankful

I don't think it is bugged. I think the latest patch changed the requirements. I finished with the four mains and didn't get this either, then I finished with Keela (dwarf engineer) and got the trophy.

Congrats. I'm glad it worked out for you. Really got to be a pain by the end.

I had to do all 6 on the PS5 version of the game. It finally popped when I finished the witch hunter.

I started the game last year on ps4,finished it with mage and slayer. Now I got back to it on ps5 to nail platinum, I finished with elf, knight and engineer, then Happily ever after popped. Luckily didn't have to play it again with witch hunter, I did all three playthroughs in one sitting and I'm exhausted...

I fell foul of this last night until I noticed when I was attempting it again that when I was joining the game with fresh characters on p2 none of the other characters I'd already run through the last mission with were there. I mean how can the game know I've completed it with the archer if it doesn't even register that I even have an archer character. Got it to pop in the end by making all the characters on the main menu first then doing the method as normal. So in summary -

1. Start game as your main. Load to main menu

2. Create each character on the main menu. Do the dwarf engineer in case. I did her first so don't know if they are needed or not.

3. Quit game and relaunch game with second account with save before final mission.

4. Join as P2 on your main. You should see your alt characters now.

5. Finish the game. Before you quit out check the journal and it should show all missions.

6. Quit game and download the save before final mission on second account and relaunch the game.

7. Join as p2 and you should see all the characters still, you'll know it has registered because the character you just did will be level 1+ because of the xp they gathered whilst idle through the end of the game.

8. Repeat steps 5-7 with all characters.

9. Trophy

For whatever reason it doesn't seem to register and save characters you create whilst you are joining the game, only ones you create on the main menu. That's what fixed it for me so hopefully it'll work for someone else struggling with this in the future

Anyone having issues with this popping? I have beat the main story with all 6 characters and still won't pop. Beat with engineer and witch hunter twice now. All done in solo play

Anyone know work around or a bug that's causing trophy to not pop?

Yeah doesn’t pop for me neither, lots of time wasted, give it 1 more run and that’s it. If it’s bugged this long after release, impressive company who sort their shit with patches. 😂 Done all 6 characters

This works perfectly. Great description. I have only solved the first 5 Chars with these method and trophy pop.

I did this trophy legit on PS4 and I can confirm it requires you to complete the 4 base characters plus the engineer. The story isn't that long so I didn't feel there's a need to use the 2 player method. It also gave me a chance to use and appreciate the other characters' playstyles.

Just got the happy ever after trophy, Slayer Edition of the game. - using the quick (beat game with) trophy unlock trick posted in other post.  - This required me to do all 6, including which hunter.
