I find this insane, there's probably 100+ games even worse than Cyberpunk that are still on the store, they must just be sick of people trying to get refunds so they will take it off for a few weeks and wait for it to slow down and then throw it back up.

i agree especially after CDPR promised refunds which put sony in a tight spot

I'm SHOOK. Like, I get it, what baffles me is that the game hasn't got crucified by reviewers while other games like AC Unity or Days Gone did, even though they literally got patched within a week and were in a much better state than Cyberpunk 2077.

Yeah there are worse game that this probably, but it's probably damage control. They surely don't want to have to refund even more people cause of the false advertising.

For most of the crap games you know it will be a crap game, but when something is advertised as the best shit since the invention of sliced bread and turns out to be this broken, you know people will start rioting.

Sony seem to be offering a full no questions asked refund for the digital version now. so if you want rid of it after getting the plat lol, you can try.

I got the game as a physical copy. Gamestop told me they don't do refunds after 48 hours. I emial CDProjektRed and they just told me to wait. They also said they will stop helping customers after the 21st. So I'm kind of fucked.

im sure it will be back on store eventually, I just hope they make sure the newer console versions are 1000 times better and not try to cheat reviews for people

This is hilarious, I have played some absolute garbage Baby's First Unity Asset games that barely function, how in the world did this get pulled? I'm equally amazed this many people bought the game expecting it to actually live up to the hype after the 8 million red flags during development, but that's beside the point. This is amazing.

They advertised the game for the PS4 and Xbox 1

Ps5 only has been out for 2 months 

I'm pretty sure 15 CoD games have been released in 8 years

People shouldn't be surprised at other broken games still being on the store. For a start most broken stuff, and I mean seriously broken, not hyperbolic a few glitches mean broken, are stuff very few people play. Nightcry on the Vita for example is horribly broken, the game playing (often a slideshow with long load times) and looking horrible outside character textures as all the other textures do not load. Not a texture pop in issue, straight up do not load ever likely because if they did they'd break the game completely (explains why they delayed the Vita version for years). Barely anyone played it on the Vita though so who cares as far as Sony is concerned. Cyberpunk 2077 is one of those big hyped up games so it being broken is going to get a lot more people complaining and a lot more attention.

 

Additionally CDPR might be an important factor here. As lambasted as they have been getting they are, from what I recall a game that did used to get praised for their consumer policies. They might have asked Sony to do this themselves. Only thing that is strange is Microsoft not doing the same... perhaps they will very soon and their internal process has just been slower than Sony's on this matter.

I really think that CD Projekt Red needs to 1) not have the game for sale on PS4 and Xbox One and have it for sale on PC/PS5/Xbox Series X, 2) if they have to have it on sale for PS4/Xbox One, put a disclaimer saying there are significant performance issues with the game on base PS4/Xbox One and to play it on PS4 Pro/PS5/Xbox One X/Xbox Series X and 3) delay it again until it's at least playable on base consoles.

 

It's pretty bad that IGN does a review for it on PS4/Xbox One, complains about feeling sick due to the framerate, complain about the game hard locking the system....yet it's 4/10.
