I didn't spend as much time gaming as I usually do this week. My wife has been wanting to watch scary shows at night. I got sucked into a show called Evil with her and we binged most of it in one day. It was really good. We also watched a metal sculpting reality show competition thing. It was alright. I like those types of shows, but it's hard to recommend them to people. I don't know what it is with my brain, but I am not interested in things like baking, fashion, make-up, flower arranging, modeling, or whatever; but turn on a reality show and suddenly I'm like, "I don't know about Samantha. Her dress design just doesn't meet the brief. What was she thinking with that underwire?! And that color?! Orange is not the new pink. She is just straight up crazy!" Demon's Souls - @gruffiiti got his technical issue sorted out and we were able to jump into Demon's Souls one night this week. I got a few trophies from the session and caught up to where he was in the game. Next time we meet up, I think we are going to 3-2 in his world. The Walking Dead Series - I was pleasantly surprised to see the final season is different than the rest. There is a combat system that isn't all quick time events, and trophies that actually had some (minor) challenge attached to them. The platinum requires more than simply playing through the story. The downside is there are a lot of missable and mutually exclusive trophies, and they did nothing to help the players get back to those decision points easily. A chapter select would be really nice to have. I'm only about a quarter of the way so far, but enjoying this season. I also replayed Season one on the vita and the Michonne mini-series. I don't have anything of importance to say for them, so I'll just lump all these together. Ghost of Tsushima - I'm still in the first zone, but I've done a lot of the side content available here at this point. I am putting it on pause while I focus on my Halloween list a bit. However, I really like this game and I'm going to be returning to it soon. Hades - I got through to the point where the credits roll. So I've officially finished the main story. This occurs on the 10th successful escape from the Underworld. I'm a big fan of Super Giant Games, but I have to say that I think Hades is overhyped. It's good, very good even. However, I don't understand all the game of the year awards, the people saying they were crying at points in the story, and it going on people's greatest games of all time lists. I just wish I had started this one with proper expectations set. It's their best game yet for sure. I just don't think it surpasses their past efforts by much. This is not to say I don't really like this game. I've really liked all their games! I'm going to be happily pouring in more hours into this and having a good time the whole while,. I just wish I didn't have this nagging thought that I'm somehow missing something everyone else is getting that's making this better. Plans for Upcoming Week: I am getting fatigued with all the Walking Dead, but I think I want to just keep going with it and get them done. I need to finish the final season on PS4 and I'm also planning on doing season two on the Vita since I own it already. In the background I'll be working on Hades and Hollow Knight. Wrapped up the grind to master all the combos. I was making great progress on my second playthrough and was over halfway done with it and then I got a glitch that prevented any further progression in the game, Sad truth is, this is the second time this happened and I should have known better, but I didn't have a backup save and nothing was resolving the issue. At this point I now have to start over again on my second playthrough. There goes almost 13 hours of gameplay, ugh. Trust me, I will be adding to the trophy guide I'm working on for this a very emphatic statement to have backup saves because this game is a glitchy mess. I just have to say that I can tolerate a lot when it comes to a game, but glitches that outright block trophies or game progression are the absolute worst and make the game deserving of the label "shovelware" to me far more than most games that get that label. Both the glitches I had were on very simple things that one would think the devs would get right. You beat a monster, door opens. The glitch that happened for me was that the door failed to open preventing me from going any further. Two different parts of the game as well that this happened in, so it's not like players can say hey this one section is glitched make sure to have a backup at the beginning of the area. 4 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I am almost within 1% to go from my goal which is great. AC III + DLC (3/4) - PS3 Finished the 3rd SP DLC and now I only have two trophies of the MP DLC left. Almost there! F2011 - PSVita Yes I did it! Got Gold medals on every track. Which may seems easy but some tracks were super hard. One trophy left to the platinum; 8 championships which is more time consuming than difficult. Metro Last Light + DLC (0/5) - PS3 I restarted this game (first trophy in 2014 ?). Bought all the DLC when the closure of the PS3 shop was announced so nothing is holding me back to 100% this one. It is also a good amount of trophies which will bring me very close to my goal. Game is pretty decent and I am wondering why I never finished it. Sure, graphics are mweh compared to what we now have but game play is more than okay. Halfway my first run now. Battlefield 4 (PS4) Decided to do a platinum run on the PS4 version (had the PS3 version alreday) and get some easy MP trophies of the DLC. Easy game on hard to be honest. Although I haven't all the MP DLC trophies I decided to put this game now in retirement. So I consider BF4 now as completed. Current Status: Plans for next week(s): - get 8 championships in F2011 (PSVita) - make progress on Metro Last Light (PS3) - finish MP DLC of AC III (PS3) - decide what to finish on my PSvita next Happy trophy hunting! I finally hit 40% completion! Hitting 50% by the end of the year will be tough, but I'm still gunning for it. I'll mostly be focusing on the games I'm playing for the Fall / Winter Challenge, but I've got some others that I'm only gunning for 50% or more in, too. As long as I don't add too many new games I should be able to at least get close to my goal. The only game I really regret starting is Dead by Daylight since it has so many performance issues on PS4. I finished up South Park without missing any more of the missable collectibles. I immediately installed The Fractured But Whole with the thought to continue on to the next South Park game but somehow with a night of no gaming at all (too tired from busy work day) and doing some co-op in Demon's Souls I lost my drive to move on to the next South Park game. I'm sure I will start on it though in the next week or so. Its only a matter of time until I get frustrated with the Gold Crown grind in Monster Hunter and need a break. South Park: The Stick of Truth Finished up The Stick of Truth without too much difficulty because I kept an eye on the missable collectibles. Really enjoyed my time with this game (even for my second time completing it) and will be starting on the next South Park adventure soon. Demon's Souls Connected with @Spacey Dweeb an evening this week and ran through World 3-1. Slowly but surely we are making some progress on this game. Hoping to be able to spend more time on it this upcoming week. Monster Hunter World Slowly getting hooked on this game and the steep learning curve is slowly flattening out. Its pretty amazing to see some players still enjoying this game with near maxed level and stats. Completed the story with the help of @CuinnBear and working on end game and upgrading weapons/gear now. The gold crown grind may break me but so far Ive managed to collect some through Events and Investigations. I did start Maquette and played it briefly but I just didn't like it at all and had no real desire to continue so I dropped it and decided to play a game I've wanted to try for a long time... Train Sim World! This was pretty much the only game I played for 4 weeks straight, and I wouldn't recommend to anyone who doesn't really like trains, but as someone who does I've had a lot of fun with it. It's a bit repetitive and hardly the most compelling gameplay you'll see but it puts a smile on my face and I find it a very chill experience - when the trophies work properly! I've been playing this offline ever since I read that being offline helps trophies pop better (as the dovetail games server doesn't interfere) but it's not a 100% foolproof method unfortunately. I've not tried all of the different routes yet but I've completed a good chunk of the base game trophies and made good progress on several of the DLC routes, including overall mileage, scenario completions (essentially the game's version of missions), completing services on timetables, and getting collectables (but only if the route has a trophy associated with collectibles, as not all do). The playstation doesn't actually track hours played offline but I'd easily estimate at least 150+ so far and there will be several more hundred hours involved when I return to it! However, I'm currently taking a break from it to play some other things for a bit, first of which was Tekken 7. I'm not usually a fan of fighting games and haven't played them since the PS2, but when I did, it was the old Tekken games that were my favourite, so when I saw a physical copy for under £10 I decided to bite. Predictably, I'm not good at combos at all and only played single player on normal difficulty but the trophies are actually really straightforward and even the online portion wasn't too much trouble. I was annoyed that it really did keep matching me with players vastly more experienced and the server connections weren't always good but the requirements for the online trophies are only to win a single match in ranked match, single match in player match (unranked), one match in a tournament and 10 overall online matches completed. An enjoyable, swift and not very difficult platinum and likely the last fighting game plat I earn for a long time. After this, started on Dirt 5 on PS5, I've had a copy for a long time as Game had it on special offer shortly after the PS5 was released but I hadn't got round to it, even though I really like driving games. It's nothing mindblowing but the graphics are gorgeous, cars sound good, there's a decent variety of cars too but I wish there was more track variety as I had played every track a couple of times even only halfway through the career. I am only one trophy away from platinum on this right now, which is the 1000 miles trophy which I will complete with an AFK method. After this, I will be on 124 platinums, and intend to revisit Hitman 3 for Platinum 125. Super nice to have this done. Never thought I would go back but as with many games I have finished this year , it is this challenge (and you!) that motivated to get these done. Metro Last Light + DLC (0/5) - PS3 Did my first run and unfortunately the trophy 'Shadow Ranger- Complete the game without killing any Humans unless forced to' didn't pop. Which means I have to do another run without killing anyone. Strange as I am 100% certain i didn't kill anybody but maybe knocking down enemies and stealing their filter counts as a kill too?! Now diving into the DLC before I do an attempt to Ranger Hardcore. I really like the game, the atmosphere, the story line, etc. Pretty decent game! The bad news is I didn't make a lot of gains as I only played Monster Hunter World this past week and most of the remaining trophies are pretty good grinds. I should be close to knocking out a bunch of them but will have to focus on the Gold Crown grinds after that if I want the platinum. So far I'm having a lot of fun with the game so it doesn't feel grindy yet. Monster Hunter World I only played one game this week. I think this is a first for me in this event. Still really enjoying Monster Hunter World and taking down some of these massive monsters. My favorite part is being able to join others hunts and helping now rather than being a hindrance. Making steady progress on my Fall / Winter Challenge games, and knocked out a couple percentage boosters as well. I'm not going for MvCI's plat so I got it over 50% and am happy to leave it at that. Skyscrappers was really fun. I only played it because it's on every "easy PS Now plats!" list, but I ended up really liking it so that was a bonus. My PS Now sub ends in 2 months so I'm going to finish as many quick games on there as I can before then. I've got a folder with Goosebumps, Adam's Venture, etc downloaded and ready to go. I should have time to beat 1 or 2 more to help get that final PCG for the month a little higher. Other parts were not great for my completion percentage. Overall, I think it was a win though. I should be averaging a 0.5% increase per week. I went up the right amount this week, but I am still a couple weeks behind schedule. However, I am poised to have a big week this week. There are a few games where I am in the late stages and this would be when those silver and gold trophies pop. I'm hoping to jump up a full percent this week. The Walking Dead Series - I replayed Season 2 on the Vita just to get the plat done. I did it mostly while watching tv shows with my wife. I barely paid attention to Vita and just mashed buttons. Clem and AJ ended up in Wellington alone at the end. However, since none of the later games came out on Vita it doesn't matter since I can't continue that story on. From my ps4 playthroughs, I did pay attention and am a little more than half through the final season. Hades - I made decent progress on this trophy-wise, but I'm in the grind portion. There's just a lot of small things that come together over time and the only way to make it happen is to just keep playing. Simple stuff like choosing all the different types of boons from every different god. You just have to play long enough to see them all. The interactions between all the characters is keeping things interesting. You can always find at least a few people each run that have something new to say. Kena: Bridge of Spirits - I thought I'd end up skipping this one for a while since I've been cutting back on game purchases and limiting myself to one per month. I already got Ghost of Tsushima in September. However, Kena was technically purchased by my daughter. so I got to take advantage of it. I knew it was fairly short, so I didn't agonize too hard about adding it to my profile. I've heard master difficulty is really challenging, but I'm up for it! Enigmatis Series - This series is from Artifex mundi and if you've played one from that publisher, you've basically played them all. I have some sort of soft spot for them, even though I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. I just get in the mood for the hidden object puzzles, the cheesy voice acting and bad dialogue. I have a couple of hours to go in the final game of this trilogy and then I'll go back to my regularly scheduled gaming. Plans for Upcoming Week: All four of those above entries could be reasonably finished up this week. I only have some doubts on Hades. So the plan is to work on wrapping all of those up and picking back up on my Halloween event game list. Now I'm starting to see the extra completion gained by starting and wrapping up all those new games. Also was able to keep to my goal of not starting any new games in September, but I admit I had hoped to finish more than just Shiness. However after dealing with two glitchy playthroughs and losing 20 hours of playtime, it's no surprise it was the only one I got done. Hoping to knock out a trophy or two in Flower before the month is done Once I knock out Flower, I'm going to move on to Resonance of Fate. Decided with that one I'm just going to restart it from the beginning. I know I made some major errors in the playthrough I have and I've forgotten most of the story at this point. Earned the 1000 miles trophy for Dirt 5 and earned the Platinum Earned my final trophy for Hitman 3 for completing the challenges in the final mission (no longer bugged it seems as popped instantly for me) Started Control Ultimate Edition and made good progress I'm enjoying Control but maybe not quite so much as I hoped I would. The difficulty is mostly fair throughout but a couple of heavy spikes scattered throughout and the respawn/checkpoint system isn't fantastic so it can get on the frustrating side every now and then but I absolutely adore the concept, setting and general atmosphere. The combat looks, feels and sounds good but the launch ability is by far the best way to tackle every single encounter so now that I'm right at the end it's beginning to feel a bit repetitive. But with everything else, the gorgeous visuals and the great performance of the PS5 version it's still something I'd easily recommend. In the course of three nights I've completed almost everything in the base game trophy list except spending 100 ability points and completing 25x board countermeasures, so once those two are knocked out I'll be adding another platinum to my collection. I might work on them whilst also getting a start on the DLC that comes with the ultimate edition but due to the fact it's already starting to get a little bit same-y I might just power through the DLC sections with some of the assist mode stuff on and ramp up the power fantasy aspect which this game does really well. 5 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Only started one new game and was able to get back out of the red before the end of the month. On a good note I have almost all the playthroughs completed for Halloween Forever. I did 3 over the last 4 days. Now only the pumpkin man is left. Oh and one hp mode, which means take one hit and you die. The new game is Life is Strange TC. I already missed the boat on a lot of games multiplayer aspects that will always keep me from coming back to certain games but hopefully I can make it 3% increase by the end of the year. PS3 version isn't hard to finish at all, just be sure to save often since it does have some issues with crashing. I personally only had them happen when staying in a dungeon too long. It's a straightforward plat with no missables and a pretty fun little action RPG. Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons is an easy game and I hear lots of good about it. You should be able to knock that one out in a few hours. Also saw you had Word Search by POWGI still unfinished. I know that's the longest of the POWGI games, but it's pretty easy. You should be able to get that done without an issue if you chip away at it and do a few puzzles each day. I didn't really stick to my plans in September, but those plans have moved to October! I really felt a need for Hitman, so I started and finished Hitman 3. In all honesty... a let down compared to the previous games. I followed that with Aragami, as I got it cheap as off PSN (I'd previously owned physical and had played a few levels), so I picked that back up and am currently working through the DLC for it.
