Best Friends trophy not popping

I've replayed the first level of the game several times because it's the quickest and you pretty much have to go out of your way to die but the trophy doesn't pop (doing it with a second controller)

 

I've even mixed it up and did the second level a couple of times and still nothing

 

The guide on PowerPyx says you can replay the same level even if you've aced it by yourself but it's not working

I had to play 10 different levels. It's easy enough anyway just roll through the levels in the first world and you should get it to pop

Thanks! This is what I had to do, but I ended up going up through half of the second world due to skipping levels that kill the second player with auto scrolling and such.
