Weird glitch when picking Darren's route (with fix)

Hi, I've been playing in visual novel mode because I already played the full mode in PS4 more than once. But I've been having this problem - when I get to the point where I need to pick a route, and I pick Darren, the game crashes. It sends me back to the Main Menu.

 

In case anyone else is having this issue, this seems to only happen when you have the skip option turned on AND you choose Darren. Having skipping on and choosing another character is fine, and choosing Darren with skipping turned off is fine as well.

Hey man, hopefully not too late, but I just found a work around to this glitch. In the section where you speak to ted in the store after the cinema, to the skip and play through the section normally. I had a similar issue with the ted route and this helped me.
