Difficulty - 4.5/5

Enjoyment - 4/5

 

This is easily the most punishing game i've ever played. A lot of people will say that your skill level will steadily improve and it will become easier, which is definitely true. But as you improve you'll also notice how extremely cheap the game can be. By the end of my time playing every single death felt cheap and the majority of them were just because the game felt like screwing me and throwing me into a giant room full of enemies with no chance to survive. The crown grind was very overkill also, the crowns themselves had enough variety to them to mix up the gameplay and to keep me entertained, but burnout will inevitably happen when you have to beat the game 144 times for a single trophy. Overall, the game has this strange charm that makes you want to keep playing, but it will kick your ass every step of the way. I'd recommend beating it once and that's it.

 

My 1st tier now looks like this:

 

1. Crash Bandicoot 4 (3.33%, UR) - 17%

2. Splasher (1.48%, UR) - 57%

3. Nuclear Throne (0.41%, UR) - 100%

4. MotoGP 09/10 (0.57%, UR) - 42%

Big congrats! I checked that game on youtube, it looks charming AND painful  Hall of Fame it is!

Numblast is proving to be a lot harder than I anticipated. I think it's wild how good some people are at this game. One of the runs on the leaderboard was almost 11 hours! My best so far is about 35 minutes into the endless run which put me at level 37 of 50 needed for my last trophy. I started that game 11 years ago and dammit I'm going to finish it!

It's 1€ per game with UR. Exception being the games from the Most Wanted List which have different values

Mmm I don't think that would be fair for the other participants if you just switch the list on the spot.

But curious, you are not planning to platinum the games on your list this year? I am not really familiar with Platinum Rain Day event. I mean you can pop those URs in June if you feel like it, nobody is rushing you!

And we are not kicking anyone from the event unless they cheated a game and got flagged because of it  So you can relax on that part!

This game was pure love. From the graphics, the soundtrack, the mechanics, the difficulty omg Ms Fortune murdered my fingers, I loved this one. It felt like a love letter to both cartoons and fighting games out there.

Only one game left : the goddamn Batman (origins). I will take my time with this one, it will feel like a vacation compared to the other entries on my Tier 1.

Should plan Tier 2 in advance, I have way too many ideas for my own good

Street Fighter V 

 

Finally managed to obtain the platinum trophy for Street Fighter V. This platinum was quite a challenge for me, mainly because of the golden league requirement. Fighting against other players is something I'm not used to, so I really had to understand the game on a deeper level. Learning my combo's, learning about certain game mechanics (i.e cross-ups) and even going as far as learning about frame data (how many frames it takes for animations to start/finish and how you can punish other players based on frame advantage). Quite a different experience from what I'm used to, but also very educative and rewarding.

With ranked mode out of the way it was time to start cleaning up.. and must I say that this platinum became a huge grindfest. Honestly I didn't expect the 1 Million FM trophy " Priceless" to be this time-consuming. I've completed all trials on this game (which were a lot), and still had not enough money. Then I had to do survival mode with almost every character (40 characters total) on both easy and hard mode. Easy survival has 10 opponents, whereas hard mode has 50 opponents.. so that's like 2400 matches on top of that.

As bad as this might sound there was one good thing about it. As for the survival modes you could rematch an opponent infinitely (as long as you paid a small amount of FM). I'm not sure how this used to be in the past, but I think this option back then wasn't present. So nowadays it's a lot easier to beat survival mode on those difficulties, because even if you fail you don't get back to square one.. but you can just keep trying. It certainly made me feel less stressed when going for these survival trophies and grinding out the FM money on the survival missions.

Overall great learning experience and rewarding process. The path to becoming a true fighter still lies ahead, but let us take time to share the joy of this accomplishment.

If you really are unsure about your list, you can change it. Just PM me with your new list, to not clutter the thread with multiple lists, my inbox can handle it for now  . However if you already earned a game from that list, you are stuck with that list for the entirety of the Tier 1 until you promote  (unless you use an available switch OR reach TIer 5).

Also no already completed games on the list! Send me the list, I record it, then you can 100% the game.

Game number 4 done Trackmania. Love this game, i used to play this game as a kid on the pc so obviously i had a lot of experience getting into this game especially since ive also done it on my old account a while back. But definitely a very enjoying game which could be tough for quite a few people who arent used to these type of racing games or just racing games in general. Now all that is left is Black Ops 3, which is just gonna be a grind of 500K points basically and since im getting around an average of 3k score per game seems like at least 150 - 200 matches left. So yeah nearly done with my first tier.

Disney Infinity 2.0: Up to 91% on this and I just need the Exploration Survival challenge for the plat. Not really hard at all, but it takes like 3 and a half hours and there's no saving, so the hard parts are just finding time for it and hoping it doesn't crash at all. PS4 version crashed a fair bit when I did it years back, though I haven't had such issues on PS3 so far.

 

Pro Evolution Soccer 2014: Got done the performance training mode, so that's the most difficult part of the plat done. Also got it done on the JP stack as well, so I may be using that game for a future tier.

 

No progress on anything else. May consider subbing out Zumba for something else since it won't even be here until mid-February, but then that depends on how long it takes me to get through my other stuff. The combination of Chess Ultra, Disney Infinity 1.0, and PES 2014 may very well take me right up to then if not later.

 

Also spent some money buying more easier UR plats to prep up for later tiers. My plan for the time being is to build up to 699 plats entirely through URs (so 10 plats left) so I can then pop Mugen Souls for Plat 700. As such, I wanna try to get through the first two tiers without much issue since Mugen Souls will fit squarely in Tier 3. Only real conflicts are that Neptunia Virtual Stars releases at the start of March and I'll never get 10 UR plats in that time considering the selection my skill levels give me and that I have an Evangelion pachinko game running in the background constantly that could give me the plat at any time (albeit the last trophy I need is ludicrously rare).

 

First issue is easily solvable by just having Virtual Stars one off from plat when I do go through that game so I can just pop it when Mugen Souls is finally done. Second issue is a bit more complicated since I don't wanna stop running the pachinko for however long it takes to enact my plan since that's a lot of lost time. That said, my plan is to hold off on my last Tier 2 plat until I have Mugen Souls just about done so that in case the Eva plat pops, it won't interfere with my milestone and I can just sub in Mugen Souls for whatever plat I was saving for last in Tier 2. I assume I can't just sub in the Eva plat once I get it since it's technically already done at that point even if it would've been done within the event.

Yes. However this is only if you are still in the Participants tab. If you advance in Tiers the rules apply, no exceptions.
