Yeah it was quite the grind. I'm pretty curious how this trophy used to be in the past when there were less characters available. Less characters means less trials and less survival runs, so maybe the 1M FM was even more tedious to obtain. Also no ability to rematch in survival, which seems like a pain as well.

 

My main is Akuma. I like playing as the shoto characters. I choose Akuma in particular because he has high damage output and has some additional moves that other characters don't have. Like the air firebal and the demon rush ultimate. Or well, maybe the Kage guy has it too I'm not too sure.. he looked very similar to Akuma, but I liked Akuma more. Quite a few sources I checked on regarding best character to use in Street Fighter V also listed Akuma as being a top tier character, so I just had to get him .

Good luck. I recommend to practice a lot and watch a lot of videos. It's important to master your combo's and know how to punish other players. A lot of players in the lower ranks tend to jump a lot. This leaves them vulnerable for you to attack. If you can consistently manage to anti-air them you can hit silver league in no time. After reaching silver league players will start to make less of these mistakes. At this point its just all about practice (clean inputs) and knowing your opponent moveset and when you can punish them. Keep trying and you'll reach golden league eventually

Ah Akuma, always an awesome choice. Yep he is a top tier for sure, but he requires quite some mastery. Kage ain't that good unfortunately, he is just a not-as-good Evil Ryu from SF4. I mean sure he is flashy but he's severely limited compared to Akuma.

Before, in Season 1, there were many more mission modes that gave you a lot of FM from what I recall. Also completing the story mode used to give you a ton of FM. Capcom ofc removed them because people could grind those way too easily and not PAY for those sexy Chun Li costumes.

Survival mode was way more brutal however  if you died, you died.

Just wanna say hello guys today I hope you're all well and have fun playing games I haven't earned a new trophy for this event yet but i did make a bit progress in Yu-Gi-Oh Millennium Duels for which i still have to beat like 25% of the campaign to get the next trophy. I just need to play the game, but unfortunately i'm very busy with other games. Especially with EDF 4.1 which is a super long grind. I cannot put it on the list for this event as i expect to play EDF for at least the entirety of the year   probably even more. If a similar event is hosted in 2022 or 2023 i'll put it up on the list

First update of the year. I got the platinum in Rogue Legacy! I remember this being the first rogue-lite game I played that got me into the genre. I didn't understand/appreciate it at first but after a while it got its hooks into me and by the end I had a blast. The platinum chase was really fun too. I think the Thanatophobia trophy while really difficult makes the game feel much more like a rogue-like as opposed to a rogue-lite where you have to be far more planned and thoughtful with your movements throughout the castle. Overall great game.

The Priceless trophy was slightly easier because more fight money was rewarded.  If you were good enough, you'd have well over one million with just everyone involved in season one.  That could have been done in maybe ten hours? It's not hard to reach gold.  Work on your fundamentals, practice properly, and at you'll be at worst a diamond player.  

 

There are definitely top tier characters in the game, but tiers don't matter if you're better than your opponent.  Just choose someone who fits your style the the best.  It's been a while since I played SFV, but Dan is coming.  Maybe I should hit Grand Master ?

Reporting in with a new name (from GamFreak146) and my tier 2 completion! Numblast had me worried for a bit, but after some practice, I was finally able to finish it. The target was Lv.50, but I was able to go a tiny bit further once all of the stress of finishing Lv.50 was gone. It's definitely a weight off my shoulders to finish this after starting it back in 2010. The playtime is in minutes, so losing previous runs at 49, 45, 40+, etc was a bit disappointing. Overall, I'd still recommend it if you're into arcade puzzle games with unique mechanics even though the time investment per endless run can be a bit high.

Update number 3: Got my final 2 trophies in Dead By Daylight to get the 100% for that. I'll be grinding out MotoGP 09/10 over the next few days, the horrible 20 player online trophy is already done so it shouldn't take very long at all

It is pretty hard to reach gold especially when you're not good at fighters at all lmao

Update: Nascar 14 is my first game completed. If anyone plans to start this one beware of the glitches in the highlights section. I had to delete and reinstall the patch multiple times in order to work around some of the trophies. I'm thinking of working on Frozen Synapse Prime next, the online part is done so I just need to beat the campaign.

I actually managed to check this off the list the same day i signed up as I was already working toward the platinum. Nothing too hard, just the grind was quite excruciating with having to complete the arcade mode over 30 times. I was already above halfway done so I just listened to music and went for it to clear it from the backlog.

 

Oh boy did this take longer than I thought. I barely started TLAD and it was easy enough to finish all the trophies so no problem here. TBoGT on the other hand is a 20-25 hour grind depending on your skill level in getting 100% of the challenges complete for all the missions. I had to take breaks from this game because there were buggy and glitchy requirements that weren't registering as completed. That coupled with very repetitive mission challenges like getting above a certain percentage of head shots or taking under a certain amount of damage made it frustrating to go back and keep replaying missions. On the positive side at least it does not require all mission challenges to be completed in one run like RDR2 so i'm thankful for that. GTA IV is the longest it has taken for me to 100% a game on my list at 12 years 1 week ?

 

Mirror's Edge is next. That dlc is gonna be a pain.

Finally completed my first game for this event and oh man was that harder than I expected. I kind of wrote this one off after playing the beta and being left feeling like it was inferior to last years cod In many aspects but It grew on me quite a bit. Story is imo the weakest in any cod, mutliplayer is your standard affair but still fun, zombies is excellent and then there's dead ops.. this mode was shite. While I enjoy twin sticks, this just felt so damn boring and basic as hell mixed with a trophy that's essentially a 4-5  hours perma death run, not only that but the randoms in matchmaking are so unreliable that you're better off just getting a team or getting carried. This is probably the hardest cod platinum now that all glitches for dead ops arcade have been patched but thankfully you have dedicated groups of pros who help many with this snooze fest of a mode, seriously I have insomnia and was fighting back sleep on our successful run.

Not gonna lie, I expected this to take longer than it did. Turns out the feats weren't quite as grindy as I expected them to be, not to mention each of the three playsets only took me 3-4 hours each to clear.

 

As for what's next, I'll likely alternate between PES 2014 and Chess Ultra since Zumba isn't here yet. Will probably also do some Mugen Souls in the meantime to start preparing that as well.

Guess I’ll sign up for this. Vergil recommended it to me. I’m very well positioned to clean up some ultra rares this year. Too bad I didn’t know about this sooner. I could have included Skullgirls 2nd Encore in my tier 1. I got the plat for it back on January 2nd.
