First of all I just want to give a big thanks to my Co-op partner and good friend @Jasko_SOA! Super committed, persistent and top tier guy. We had a lot of fun playing this together, even through the frustrating times we found something to keep us motivated until we had completed the mission at hand. Badland is a great game and is very fun most of the time. At first I really struggled with the screen chasing but after time it becomes normal and is just a small hurdle to overcome getting used to in the beginning. The biggest hurdle are the co-op trophies, since Badland only has couch co-op, everything has to be done in share play and be completed twice because only the host gets the trophies. That’s 600 missions in total, and another 300 for single player! I think the rarity of Badland wouldn’t be what it is if there had been an online component for players to connect. Very happy to have this completed! There’s actually a Badland 2 and I would really like to play that too but it’s not yet been released on PlayStation and I’m unsure if it ever will, sadly. Keep up the great work everybody!! Tier 1: F1 2017 (4.28%) Cloudberry Kingdom (0.09%) Badland (0.04%) F1 2019 (3.78%) - 72% Limbo (PS4) (2.13%) - 42% Congratulations again man! And thanks for the kind words. Moreover thank you again for approaching me asking, if I am looking for a coop partner for Badland; I could not have wished for a better buddy to tackle this beast ?Looking forward to clearing more games together, maybe Badland 2 one day.
Popular Post pinkrobot_pb
I have been getting some progress in lately but will be finishing up Heavy Rain PS3 for another event first. So here is what I have done so far: Call of Juarez: Bound in Blood (PS3) NASCAR The Game: Inside Line (PS3) Farming Simulator (PS3) Wolfenstein (PS3) WRC 7 (PS4) I kind of regret putting WRC 7 on the list now. The mileage grind is either going to take ages or cost me my sanity (if Heavy Rain does not do that first). Popular Post ExistentialSolid
Dead Nation: Apocalypse Edition (2.66%) - 100% A game where the world is ravaged by a global pandemic and...wait. I think I've heard this story before. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, and make it a priority to get vaccinated unless you want our world looking like this one. Oh right, the game. If you want a twin-stick shooter with a side of strategy, give this one a look. It's a lot more cerebral than you might expect and Morbid difficulty on this game's campaign tore me to shreds. Dandara (2.49%) - 100% A game about salt...and other things I didn't have the time to read because I was too busy following a speedrun video. Popular Post CriesOfFurya
I didn't actually find enough time to really sit down and write an update during Tier 3, so I will just report back with the whole Tier completed Slender: The Arrival (PS3) I was finally able to get my hands on the last stack of Slender to finish of the "trilogy" and it was pretty relaxed and quick just like the other two games. The only actual annoying part of the game is the "Into the Abyss" level in the hardcore playthrough, as the AI of the child pursuing you is completely random and the spawns of the gas canisters + generators can just be painful at times. It'd recommend it to anyone into indie first person horror games or anyone just looking for a quick Ultra Rare game. Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days This one was an absolute mess in every way and I'd recommend people to stay clear of this one. The graphics are pretty bad solely because of the horrid monochrome filter which pixelates your screen, the gun play is terrible as there are just 3-4 out of the 20 weapons which are actually usable and the story/ writing is just the most bare-bone thing I have ever played. Some cutscenes will genuinely only last 50 seconds and there will be around 3 lines of text per character. Trophy wise, the hardest difficulty in the game is just utterly cheap, as your only way to actually play the game consists of: cover -> shoot -> cover -> shoot etc., and should you ever allow yourself to take 1 second to long shooting, the AI will lazer you away. The online was a pretty regular boost, nothing to complicated or too long and because of that actually the best part of this game (which is sad in itself). Dante's Inferno It was finally time to do one of my favourite hack and slash games again and I enjoyed every second of it. The storytelling is amazing, the gameplay is very fluid and the atmosphere is captivating. The platinum is unfortunately pretty cheap, but the Trials of Saint Lucia make this one a very interesting game with somewhat of a learning curve. I actually completed the DLC with a friend who had done it before as well and as such our result was that we beat every co-op trial and later even singleplayer trial on the first try. I really wanted to go for the fastes time for this game, but I ended up just completing it after I wasn't as free as I hoped to be right after I started it. If anyone ever needs some help with a co-op trial they just can't complete, just send me a message and I will try to hop on the game again. Quantum Conundrum (International + Japan) Quantum Conundrum is my absolute favourite puzzle game of all times and this one should be a must-have for everyone who is puzzle fan. The story gives you a completely relaxed and warm feeling throughout and once you are done solving the puzzles and enjoying it all, it's time to put a little bit of elbow grease into actually beating the goal times. In some instances those will require complete perfection, in others just a good execution of the puzzle in the correct order. The shift goals will actually unlock alongside the goal times, however in this category you can really show how clever you can be, solving the puzzles with the minimum shifts required. That concludes my Tier 3 list and here is what I have been planning to do in the next one: I just wanted to post my list before finishing the first game in it. I will edit this post soon and actually fill out the text. EDIT: Future Soldier was completed after I announced my new tier list here first, I just edited the post now to post a PSNP+ screenshot. Popular Post Dzware
Just finished my Futuridium stack yesterday. Flappyridium was much harder this time for me compared to when I did it on Vita, probably in a large part due to a bigger screen (hard to focus on the ship on the far left, and obstacles on the far right at the same time) and my TV just having a large delay, making it hard to react in time. However, the 150 medals and classic mode run were much easier due to still being familiar with most of the levels, those all went really smooth and got most levels done in just a couple tries. Next up is probably Limbo, I've heard good things about the game and I've been meaning to play it for a while, so now's finally the time Tier 2 Catherine (PS3, 1.27%) - 100% Futuridium (PS4, 0.08%) - 100% Kung Fu Panda (PS4, 0.73%) - 100% Limbo (PS4, 2.11%) - 0% Lumo (PS4, 0.70%) - 0%
Popular Post Floriiss
I would like to swap Sine Mora for Vermintide as I'm really close to finishing it. This brings me close to finishing my first tier. Though I must confess that I have used waaaay to many swaps already lol. I have to agree with some other uses in this thread. I'm very sporadic in what I play and sometimes I listed a game that I didn't necessarily wanted to play at the time (looking at you, DMC4). If it wasn't for the sake of this event I probably wouldn't have finished it so soon, so I guess that's a good thing about it. On the other hand it could also feel like a chore at times and made the experience less enjoyable. If this event will continue in the future I would like to make a suggestion. From my understanding you gain additional points for completing a tier, right? Personally I would like to see this whole tier and swap thing gone. Perhaps it could be made similar to the "Most Recent Platinum" thread, where we will list our Most Recent UR games being completed and you gain additional points (this would replace the tier system) for every 5 UR games you complete OR bonus points for sub 1% UR games. These are just suggestions. Could be a complete different thing I don't know. I feel like this event is pretty fun to participate in, but if we could have more freedom and some things could be changed I feel like it could even better. Tier 1 1. Street Fighter V (1.17%) - 100% 2. Warhammer: Vermintide 2 (1.43% ; 0.27%) - 100% 3. Devil May Cry 4 (2.73%) - 100% 4. Dustforce (0.38%) - 100% 5. Popular Post Evil_Joker88
What you suggest @Floriiss was what he had in last years UR Platinum Thread and @Copanele @Arcesius @Mori wanted to create something more strict to encourage people to stay focused on a handful of games I for example completed just i think 2 games from my original list but brought in another 5 games during the event i was very happy about the event that way. We even changed the rules on the go for example by including games without which was a good idea i think Personal Update: I finished Quantum Theory on Easy and Hard and got a few combat related trophies like 1st, 2nd and 3rd boss on Hard within Time Limit. But the hardest trophy is still left: complete chapter 8 killing all enemies without dying yourself. Popular Post Floriiss
Warhammer: End Times - Vermintide The first game in the Vermintide franchise and you could clearly tell the difference between this one and it's successor. A lot of things that made Vermintide 2 awesome were not present in this game. No different classes, lack of skill tree, lack of enemy types, etc. Overall the game felt pretty bland. It was mostly raw combat. Not necessarily a bad thing I suppose. I still enjoyed myself playing this game, but just not as much as I did with Vermintide 2. Trophy-wise the game was worse than Vermintide 2. Grinding out 200 endurance badges and reaching level 100 was a boring obnoxious grind. It made me question why they even put it in there.. felt so unneccesary. Also some of the trophies required sheer luck. Acquiring the DLC weapons and legendary trinkets was done through some kind of loot system. Knowing my luck this would take ages and you could clearly tell. After running through the game three times and completing all the DLC maps I still had not acquired a single DLC weapon nor legendary trinket. This resulted in some additional obnoxious post-game grinding (hooray). Fortunately my team mates were kind enough to run some levels with me, to increase my odds of obtaining these items. Feels good to have finished the Vermintide franchise now. Special thanks to @Arcesius, @Mori and @Koro249 for playing this franchise with me (both Vermintide 1 and 2). If there's anything I'm looking forward to it's more content for Vermintide 2 or Fatshark's upcoming game Darktide. Looking promosing so far. Also finished my first tier! What my next tier will be I don't know. I will need to be more cautious for the next tier because I only have one swap left. ? Tier 1 1. Street Fighter V (1.17%) - 100% 2. Popular Post Danny_Johansen
Kyurinaga's Revenge There was a little discussion if this game should be on the most wanted list and after completing the game I am happy it didn't. This game is just a broken piece of shit, the difficulty by itself is nothing special. It is just long at 2 hours for a full inferno playthrough. The problems are the tons of bugs/slowdown and other unfair things the game throws at you. You have to keep grinding the game until you don't get screwed over by something unavoidable. You are probably wondering what this could be. Here is a small list of things that can end you run. There are more but these the biggest. First boss sometimes lags and his hand sweep is delayed. Since you need to jump early because of the bad hit box, it will end in a game over. Second boss has a phase were part of the ground gets removed. Something it leaves you with very little space to avoid the tougher patterns and almost always kills you. Second boss final attack phase requires 30 hits and his actions are random. If he decide to keep walking forward, he can't be killed fast enough and corners and kills you. During level 1, 4, 5 and 9 you need to push a block and pushing a block can clip you in it and places a invisible wall in front of you so you can't jump on the block. Blocks are pushed over spike traps with a timer. While it can be avoided by moving away first. It can still happen. Level 8 has a 1/3 chance to soft lock after the first combat section. This part is really amazing During any combat section the game can lag and if this happens just before you have to finish a combo it will fail and leave you unable to attack again. Causing that unit or both units to die and often result in a game over. The biggest spot where this can happen is the final sword attack on the boss in level 9 because the second boss is dead on the ground and makes the game lag more. Many of these things happen at the very end of the run at 1 hour 30 minutes in. This makes it so that you basically do level 1-7 many times just to soft lock or lose at something else out of your control. Overall a really disappointing game in term of challenge. Popular Post Arcesius
@Danny_Johansen nice writeup, had me laugh for sure ? Thanks for the feedback The swap-system is for sure something that needs to be adressed in case there is a continuation of this event next year... The limited number of swaps was also implemented with the "donation system" in mind. Maybe we could have allowed for more flexible choices, but then not have any bonus-amount for completing a tier, or something like that... We'll learn from this event for sure! It's the first one any of us has organized (I believe) and we couldn't anticipate how many people would be participating in the first place.. And of course, feedback is always appreciated I would also like to not have only UR games count next time, but games that are challenging in general and don't make the UR cut due to so few people playing them... The End is Nigh is one of those examples, or Super Rude Bear Resurrection... both games are above 5% not because they aren't tough, but because they have almost no owners... Just no idea yet how to identify all those games objectively. Quick update from my side... After finishing my second game from my current tier, I decided that it was time to finally start Splasher... This is my progress thus far: I knew this was going to be a tough nut to crack, and despite it being really fun, it is freaking challenging for sure! Not having much time for practice is turning out to be a bit of a problem as well ? So far, I got all 22 platinum medals in the individual levels, and also my first platinum medal in the first out of three full-game speedruns (the Selfish one, equivalent to an any% run). Yesterday I then completed the second full-game speedrun, but I still need to shave off a couple of minutes to get that platinum medal... After the third full-game speedrun is complete, I'll "just" have to complete the entire game without dying, which is a pretty boring run. I tried it twice and got 16/22 levels deathless, only to make a small mistake and die. Pretty demotivating, but it will be done eventually. It will probably still take some time to finish this game, so hopefully the last remaining bounty is still available when I do ? Also... I will try to announce the second organization to be sponsored this week! Stay tuned for that, and keep it up!! SteamWorld Dig 2 (4.05%) - 100% 5. Dead Cells (3.64%) - 100% Dead Cells is done. The game was pretty fun. I enjoyed how the combat was fairly simple and quick and the game encouraged you to keep moving both by giving you a speed boost for consecutive kills and by rewarding you with better weapons if you finished areas within a time limit. I found myself using the Electric Whip most of the time. While not the highest damaging weapon available, it was pretty easy to spam and take down larger groups of enemies. It worked especially well with a weapon that could freeze or slow enemies down. I did shamelessly save scum my way to victory on the hardest difficulties. I think if I put in some more effort I could have managed to beat them legit, but I wasn't ready for another Hollow Knight where I spend 40 minutes to get to the final boss and die. And I sucked at the final boss in this game. Crash 4 up next? Possibly... I might swap it out though.

Popular Post Varhur
No new game finished, but I've made some progress - I got The Evil Within platinum! Obviously, the platinum block for this game is Akumu mode, which is Nightmare mode (hard mode), but any damage taken kills you. Sounds demanding and some sections were quite difficult with mix-up of aggresiveness of the enemies and fragileness of Sebastian (burning rooms in Chapter 6 come to mind...). Also bombs are much harder to be defused, though I knew that bolt parts are gonna come in handy, so I tried to learn the timing and defused what I could, until later in the game, when I was using them less and less. And I ended the game with about ~150 bolt parts left, because honestly, in terms of resources, this game gives you a lot, I run out of ammo for a weapon only once during the entire playthrough (ran out of sniper rifle ammo after gondola ride, because I didn't refill it after the spider boss fight in previous chapter). There's also a lot of green gel to be found, both spread across the world and hidden in lockers, so as long as you don't upgrade stuff that you won't use (like stocks for majority of the weapons, melee damage, syringe effectiveness, health and random reload speed or critical chance), then as long as you won't be caught off-guard, you have the upper hand against the enemies - the difference in the arena fight in the last chapter between survival no upgrades and akumu was quite big. I don't have the DLC's yet for TEW and I heard that Kurayami is quite annoying, so I'll keep that in mind before I return to the game, it's 10 dollars for everything so at least there's that. For now, I'll focus on Prototype. 1. Dante's Inferno (0.82% full completion, rarest trophy 4.44%) - 100% 2. Worms Battlegrounds (1.17% platinum, 0.43% full completion) - 100% 3. Mortal Kombat (0.61% platinum) - 100% 4. Prototype (PS3) (3.18% platinum) - 0% 5. Popular Post Arcesius
Hey all! I promised some update regarding the second organization to get half of the raised money as a donation, so here we go! Personally, one of my biggest passions (besides, you know... games ?) has always been music. It is not strange, my mother herself makes a living with music, and so I was already born into a musical world, so to speak. So it was clear to me from the beginning that my pick would be an organization that uses music to do great things. But it had to be an organization that works on a global scale, given that we are raising money as a diverse group from all over the world, which I think is fantastic! And with that, my pick is the following (together with a quote taken directly from their page): Quote HOW WE WORK Music is an integral part of human nature. It has the potential to connect and bring people together. We use music as a tool to alleviate the disastrous effects and causes of war and mass violence, collaborating with organizations and change-makers globally so together we can: Create long-term programs that respond to the true contexts and needs of people’s lives Train musicians and community leaders to effect nonviolent change Advocate for peace On the ground, this can sound like rock music, Burundian drumming, rap music, a cello sonata, or a stick hitting the bottom of a bucket. It’s not up to us to decide what the music will sound like. Our role is to create access to music-making that is guided by our working principles of safety, inclusion, equality, creativity, and quality. This approach opens a musical space that enables people to communicate and share. It defines how we work. And if you care to watch a small clip introducing the work of these fantastic people, look no further! I hope you all can stand behind our choices. As of now, the BEGINNING OF MAY, we are already at incredible 857€! Like.. how?!? I'm speechless, I'm blown away... and I'm greatful for your feedback, your constructive critizism, your writeups and your participation in general. Keep having fun! P.S. @Copanele could you please update the OP with the second organization Thanks!
